Sehr schöne und teilweise ausgefallene Gerichte, wie Pizza mit Paprika scharfer Salami ohne Tomatensauce dafür mit Honig. Hat hervorragend geschmeckt👍👍👍Service nett, schnell so wie man sich das vorstellt 👍👍👍Gerne wieder!

Das Essen war gut, und ich bekam eine Schüssel mit extra Parmesan, der ziemlich fettreich war.

Wir waren aufgrund des großen Hypes im Papageno essen und hatten entsprechend hohe Erwartungen, die sich für uns leider nicht ganz erfüllt haben. Die Nudeln waren geschmacklich eher durchschnittlich und konnten sich für uns nicht wirklich von vielen anderen italienischen Restaurants abheben. Positiv hervorzuheben ist allerdings die Antipasti – sie war für uns tatsächlich das Beste am gesamten Essen. Das Ambiente am Tisch wirkte auf uns leider recht nüchtern und erinnerte eher an eine Kantine als an ein gemütliches Restaurant. Es fehlten kleine Details wie Dekoration, ein schönes Gedeck oder andere Elemente, die eine angenehme Atmosphäre schaffen. Auch der Empfang hatte für uns eher einen Vapiano-Charakter als den eines klassischen Restaurants. Etwas schade fanden wir außerdem die Regelung, dass Reservierungen auf maximal 2,5 Stunden begrenzt sind. Das vermittelt leider den Eindruck, dass möglichst viele Gäste abgefertigt werden sollen. Für uns nimmt so etwas einem Restaurant ein Stück seiner Seele und Gemütlichkeit. Das Personal hingegen war durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr bemüht – dafür ein großes Lob. Insgesamt können wir den allgemeinen Hype um das Papageno leider nicht nachvollziehen. Unser Besuch war in Ordnung, aber nicht besonders einprägsam. Daher würden wir das Restaurant persönlich eher nicht weiterempfehlen.

Seit Jahren Stammgast und immer wieder ein Genuss! Das Ambiente, die Qualität vom Essen und besonders das freundliche Personal sind top 👍 Ich komme wieder!

Das Bruschetta mit Tomaten und Pesto war sehr lecker, aber leider hatte das Rinder Carpaccio nicht wirklich etwas in mit einem Rindercarpaccio zu tun.. leider hat auch Balsamico Creme gefehlt. Der Rest vom Essen war sehr gut und das Ambiente sowie Service war top.

Es war sehr schön. Wir wurden sofort bedient und auch das Essen kam sehr schnell. Die Bedienungen waren alle sehr zuvorkommend. Pizza nur zu empfehlen. Und der Preis ist auch für heutige Verhältnisse in Ordnung. Wir hatten uns noch ein Dessert geteilt das sehr lecker war. Super Schuppen!!

Tolle Antipasti, fantastisches selbstgebackenes Brot, guter Service. Das Ambiente war sehr schön, nur zu heiß, aber da kann ja keiner was dafür.

Die Getränke wurden schnell aufgenommen und zügig serviert. Auch das Essen kam bereits nach wenigen Minuten an den Tisch. Sobald die Gläser leer waren, wurde zeitnah nachgefragt, ob wir noch etwas trinken möchten. Das Essen war hervorragend. Meine Pizza war sehr groß, der Teig perfekt und der Belag sehr lecker. Alles in allem war der Besuch für mich rundum gelungen. Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service haben überzeugt. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Gestern Abend zum Essen dort gewesen, leider wurden aus Versehen die bestellten Getränke über meine Freundin gekippt, gab nur eine Entschuldigung weiter nichts …

Mit Blick auf die Donau vom Garten aus....bei der Pizza kann man bei der Herstellung zusehen....Sehr leckeres Essen....Nudelteig wird jeden Tag frisch gemacht und der Pizzateig ist ein Gedicht....Tiramisu ist auch sehr lecker und mal etwas anders aufgebaut....mit Cappuccino ,der ebenfalls super war , empfehlenswert......wir waren begeistert....

Super leckere Pizza. Perfekter Teig, hochwertiger Belag!

Schon beim Eintreffen im Papageno wurden wir von einer Mitarbeiterin in einem geblümten Kleid relativ forsch behandelt. Ein netter Willkommensgruß ist leider ausgeblieben. Wir haben vorab einen Platz reserviert für 4 Leute. Spontan entschied sich noch ein Freund mitzukommen. Nachdem wir das kommuniziert haben wurde die Dame noch unfreundlicher (nonverbale Kommunikation Note 6) und meinte das es auf keinen Fall möglich wäre einen Stuhl zu dem Tisch hinzu zu stellen. Wir arbeiten selbst teilweise in der Gastronomie und haben Verständnis für den Stress der mit einem hohes Kunden aufkommen entsteht. Aber ihr Verhalten uns gegenüber war so unangenehm das wir uns entschieden haben zu gehen. Davon wirkte sie relativ unbeeindruckt. Wirft kein gutes Licht auf das Restaurant. Ihr habt 5 gute Kunden verloren. Wir haben einen tollen Tisch in dem Gasthaus zur goldenen Ente gefunden. Das Gasthaus können wir sehr empfehlen

Das Essen war vorzüglich ich habe seit ewigen Zeiten keine so gute Pizza und meine Frau Nudeln gegessen. Unsere Bedienung sehr aufmerksam

Service war super - schnelle Bedienung trotz der Treppe sowie freundliches Personal. Meine Nudeln waren top ein Stern Abzug aus dem Grund, weil nur drei Sardellen dabei waren. Ansonsten war alles stimmig.

Essen ist gut, aber es könnte mehr Auswahl sein.

Finde das Papageno Ist eines der besten Speiselokale in Regensburg. Tolle Pastagerichte und Pizzen. Beim letzteren auch mal "ungewohnte" Konstellationen. Wer noch nicht da war sollte unbedingt mal vorbeischauen......

Sehr lecker. Wir sind auf Empfehlung hierher gekommen. Und waren begeistert. Das Essen ist MEGA lecker.

Anlässlich des von Januar bis April angebotenen Candlelight-Dinners (38€ p.P.) verschlug es uns nach längerer Zeit mal wieder hierher. Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert und wurden oben auf der Galerie platziert, auf der die Geräuschkulisse wesentlich angenehmer ist. Bereits im Vorfeld gaben wir an, das Menü gerne vegan abzuwandeln, was zu 100% berücksichtigt wurde. Die Antipasti-Platte, die beiden Hauptgerichte und die Sorbet-Platte waren geschmacklich ausgezeichnet. Unsere Service-Dame war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Es gibt nichts auszusetzen, nur den Wunsch, vegane Gerichte fest in der Karte zu etablieren. Bislang gibt es meines Wissens nach lediglich eine pflanzliche Käsealternative für die Pizzen oder einen Salat.

Absolut perfekt für Allergiker und Menschen mit Zöliakie. Und noch dazu sehr lecker! Ich habe glutenfreie Nudeln gegessen und durfte die Zutatenliste auf Wunsch sogar selbst lesen. Der Koch hat mir versichert, dass sie kontaminationsfrei sind (in einem anderen Wasser als die gh Nudeln gekocht, kein reguläres Nudelwasser in der Soße). Außerdem wurde mir sogar glutenfreies Brot (Knäckebrot und Reiswaffel) gereicht. Das war so schön, da es so oft passiert, dass man als Zöli zusehen muss, wie die anderen ihr Brot vorab essen. Daher war ich sehr überrascht und hab mich gefreut. Sehr kompetenter und freundlicher Service. Ich hab mich sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt und sehr lecker gegessen. Klare Empfehlung!

Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt. Das Essen war unfassbar köstlich, schnell am Tisch und machte satt. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. In der heutigen Zeit eine Seltenheit!! Das Restaurant ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wer hier noch nicht war, hat etwas verpasst 😊

Sehr sehr freundliches Personal. Trotz viel Kundschaft, sehr professionell und freundlich 👍Ambiente wirklich schön, aber leicht erhöhter Tonpegel. Vorspeise Bruscetta zweierlei völlig in Ordnung, nachsalzen kein Problem. Hauptgänge: Frutti de Mare durschnittlich. Ravioli mit panacotta und Trüffel diese waren wirklich hervorragend 👍

Absolut unprofessionell und extrem enttäuschend. Wir haben bereits vor 4 Wochen für 14 Personen reserviert. Einen Tag vorher hat eine Mitarbeiterin die Reservierung sogar noch einmal telefonisch bestätigt – und trotzdem war sie auf die falsche Uhrzeit eingetragen. Ergebnis: Kein Tisch für uns frei. Die einzige Reaktion vor Ort: „Es tut uns leid, wir haben für Sie keinen Tisch frei.“ Keine Lösung, kein Entgegenkommen, keine Entschädigung – nichts. Für eine Gruppe dieser Größe ist das ein kompletter organisatorischer Totalausfall. Fehler können passieren – aber nicht trotz Bestätigung und schon gar nicht mit so einem gleichgültigen Umgang. So verliert man Gäste. Für uns definitiv das letzte Mal.

Nachdem ich seit vielen Jahren in Regensburg wohne, verschlägt es mich immer wieder mal ins Papageno. Nach all der Zeit muss ich ein Kompliment aussprechen: Der Service und die Qualität sind über all die Jahre gleichbleibend sehr gut! Das Essen schmeckt immer hervorragend und die Mitarbeiter sind auf Zack, immer freundlich und locker. Das macht das Papageno zu einer „sicheren Bank“ wenn es um eine Restaurantauswahl aber auch Empfehlung geht Allein die Atmosphäre im Hauptraum ist etwas laut, dafür sind die Galerie, die Vinothek und die Terrasse umso schöner!

Trotz geschmacklich sehr gutem Essen leider unser letzter Besuch! Das Essen kam schnell, aber alle am Tisch mit Salami auf ihrer Pizza bemerkten, dass der Kunststoffdarm vor dem Belegen und Backen nicht entfernt wurde. Nach Rückfrage bei der Bedienung, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass der neue Kollege vergessen habe die Kunsthoff-Hülle zu entfernen. Das Problem war also offensichtlich schon bekannt. Wieso wurden wir nicht proaktiv vom Personal darauf hingewiesen? Nach dem Motto "Abwarten, ob es überhaupt jemand merkt". Es wurde uns ein Dessert aufs Haus angeboten, aber keine neue Pizza. Wieso nicht? Anscheinend ist Kunstoff im Essen hier hinnehmbar. Guter Service beinhaltet auch mit Fehlern richtig umzugehen. Das wurde hier leider nicht gemacht.

Thank you for the wonderful evening. We had such a delicious dinner. Everything was truly delicious, and the service was exceptionally kind and friendly – ​​that deserves special mention. Such excellent service is rare these days. I highly recommend it! The price-performance ratio is more than satisfactory. The ambiance and furnishings are very cozy. The perfect place to relax and feel at home. We will definitely be back.

Delicious food. The pizza and pasta are sensational... and the dessert is amazing...

The food was very good. Unfortunately, the social skills of one of the male servers left much to be desired. When asked if the anniversary menu (January-March) was already valid, as it was displayed on the tables, the server responded with a dismissive and condescending attitude: "Hmm, yes, of course the January menu is valid even before then, that's right." When we replied, "Excuse me, I just wanted to ask because the menu was already on the table," he responded with an arrogant tone: "That's what you call advertising." Such a tone might be acceptable at the partner restaurant at the university with students, but certainly not with a woman in her late fifties. This employee, therefore, did not do the desired advertising for Papageno. It's a real shame that this incident ruined our visit, as we have always enjoyed going to Papageno – even in large groups – and the other two female staff members were very friendly and attentive.

The atmosphere there is really great. Unfortunately, it can get quite noisy during peak hours. Luckily, that doesn't detract from the incredibly good pizza! We order from there often because it's one of the best pizzas in Regensburg. Always worth it, highly recommended!

A super friendly welcome, despite the restaurant being extremely busy and our last-minute reservation. We barely had to wait for a table. The service was incredibly friendly and fast. The food was absolutely delicious; there's really nothing to criticize. The drinks were also very tasty. Overall, a clear 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

The food was very good, the service very friendly, and the dishes arrived quickly, but unfortunately not all at once, with several minutes between each. The room is very noisy due to the vaulted ceiling and therefore not ideal for quiet conversations.

I have to eat gluten-free and the staff were very knowledgeable. Except for pizza, every dish can be made gluten-free.

Oh, what can I say! Simply our favorite Italian restaurant in Regensburg. I love the pizzas, the homemade pasta, and by far the best vitello tornado! And then they even bake their own bread and always have a smile on their face. Full marks!

Unfortunately, I ordered a pizza with king prawns and only received a handful of scampi. To compensate, there was a huge amount of ham on the pizza. Sadly, this wasn't what I expected from a surf and turf pizza. I was very disappointed.

Who calls themselves "Mediterranean cuisine" when they only serve pasta and pizza? I find that misleading. Things like fish or meat are only available in pasta. You won't find a fish platter or anything similar. Okay, I could have studied the menu online beforehand. There were four of us. We all had pasta. It tasted good, but not outstanding. My request for Parmesan cheese with the pasta was granted, but I asked twice and waited a while. By then, my pasta was no longer hot. Service here was not good; otherwise, it was OK. The bread was generally tasty, but much too salty for my taste. Well, and an espresso that arrives lukewarm has nothing to do with Italian espresso. Unfortunately, I didn't send it back... my mistake.

We were spontaneously looking for something gluten-free in Regensburg and found it here! The staff was very knowledgeable, including regarding cross-contamination and celiac disease, and were also super friendly and accommodating. Gluten-free options are available there, including salads, pasta, and gnocchi. I had the delicious gnocchi, which I highly recommend!

I also have to praise the extremely friendly and attentive service there... For example, (between our ordered courses, our friend had to take an important phone call), when the waiter noticed this, he warmed his food so it wouldn't get cold... simply top-notch 👍🏻 I really didn't expect that. A big compliment 🤗 to the great staff. Since the restaurant is often busy, a reservation is recommended.

I had the best pasta of my life there yesterday. It was a pasta dish from the daily menu with sea bass, capers, and lemon butter. A true taste experience. The service staff were very friendly. It was an all-around wonderful evening. Thank you so much!

We spontaneously decided to eat here, and I was pleasantly surprised. Given the location, you'd expect a tourist trap, but the food, service, and atmosphere were top-notch. The pizza was delicious, and the staff were very accommodating.

A beautiful and truly special location! The terrace, in particular, is a dream. The staff is incredibly friendly and wonderful. And now comes the best part… the food is fantastic! I honestly have rarely eaten so well. Sometimes I sit at home in Frankfurt and think, "Would it be excessive to drive all the way to Regensburg right now just for dinner?" I'll definitely be back as soon as possible!

Last night, two of us and our dog went to Papageno after a quick phone reservation. The service was super friendly and accommodating from start to finish; we felt very welcome. The food was also extremely delicious and served quickly, even though the restaurant was almost full. A huge compliment to the entire Papageno team ❤️

It's best to make a reservation in advance, which is easy to do online. It's a lovely place to sit both inside and outside. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks came very quickly. I've never experienced such friendly and fast service anywhere else; everyone was so nice. I highly recommend it.

The pizza was very tasty. However, I had a vegan funghi pizza and thought it was outrageous that the pizza cost €1.50 more than the pizza with funghi and ham (almost €17 in total!!). If the ham was missing, it should cost less, not more. I also mentioned it to the store, but they just shrugged their shoulders and said, unfortunately, they couldn't make the funghi cheaper despite the ham being missing.

Highly recommended 😀 The food was delicious and the portions were quite large. The waitresses were all super friendly and helpful. We were there with our dog and even got water and a few snacks. We'll be back.

The ambiance is beautiful, and the staff is always particularly friendly and accommodating on every visit. The food is second to none; it's always excellent. We often come here for dinner with friends, and that won't change in the future. I can't say much about the wait time, as we always make reservations, which I would recommend to everyone, as it gets very busy, especially on weekend evenings. I definitely recommend it.

Long waits, arugula salad is served on the plate with the roots intact. The Coke tastes cheap, Freeway diluted with water. Pizza is covered in oil. The beer garden is very cramped, which makes table conversations unpleasantly loud. The staff was nice but very particular. The restaurant is perfect for Gen Z and all the chaos that surrounds it, but not for me.

Went to Papageno again today, where I haven't left a review yet. Both the pizza and the pasta are top-notch! The dough is crispy and sturdy, and the toppings are high-quality and very tasty! The staff is very friendly and attentive; all the service staff help each other without any clear assignment. It's a bit noisy inside when full, and to allow a lot of people to visit the beer garden in the summer (which is legitimate and understandable), the outside is a bit squashed together, so it doesn't get a full 5 stars on this point. The ambiance itself is pleasant and inviting.

A lovely restaurant in a relaxed Italian style, with a terrace. If you pre-order, you'll have room. The pizza is very good and generously sized. ...Lots of flavor from several cheeses, generously topped, visually interesting, and the pizza crust isn't too thick. What's undrinkable is the beer that accompanies the pizza—neither light nor dark!
