La Gondola in Regensburg

I recently had the pleasure of visiting La Gondola with my family and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting and cozy, with warm lighting and rustic wooden details that give the feel of a traditional Italian meal. The fish 🐟 and the service were great. Bogenberger family

Mussels 🐚 in white wine sauce with warm pizza bread are a culinary delight. Plus a glass of 0.2 Lugana, perfect! For dessert, a tiramisu with a double espresso. The restaurant and the service are highly recommended, I would be happy to come back! I'm already looking forward to the next time.

To the ko…. never again . Anyone who advertises so much certainly has a problem. Love what is high quality and expensive than what is cheap and doesn't taste good. We'll never come back.

I had lunch at La Gondola today. There was a lunch dish of tagliatelle fruti di mare with an espresso for €09.90. The food tasted really good. I also ordered some pizza bread, which was also very good. Service was also very friendly and always attentive. I can absolutely recommend it. 👍

It was super easy and quick to order on the website. Half an hour later our food was ready to be picked up. The staff was very friendly and the food tasted fantastic. We ate pasta and pizza. The Spaghetti Frutti di Mare in particular was very high quality and delicious.

Hello everyone, Unfortunately you can't write anything positive. The table was reserved for 9 people a month ago. As soon as we arrive no free tables were available. The waiter quickly put together 4 tables for us (put them crooked). The pizza was fresh and tasty, the lettuce leaves were not fresh or bitter. The staff always spoke to us cheekily. The tables were cleaned of cigarette ash, thank you very much.

I have been coming here for 50 years and the service and food remain excellent. A hidden gem in Regensburg where mainly locals come to eat, but definitely worth the half-hour walk from the Altstadt.

The waiter (Platon) was very friendly, he made us laugh a lot and always asked if everything was okay.

I can't say anything about the interior of the restaurant - on both visits we were outside on the terrace. Both times we had delicious wine and very fresh, tasty pizzas. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We love coming here!

We called 100 times until we were no longer pushed away to order to go. Rigatoni al forno was very disappointing, not gratinated at all but just a cheese sauce like Spätzle Bolognese was below average, difficult to mess up but had hardly any taste I knew the restaurant from 3 years ago, but since the owner changed the kitchen has become very poor.

We were at La Gondola on a very hot Sunday afternoon with 3 small children after the playground for coffee and ice cream. Coffee and ice cream were very tasty, but there were no milk alternatives (on request) (oat, almond, soy or even lactose-free milk, you name it), which I find a bit weak for today's times. We were also refused (at 35 degrees) a glass of tap water with (!!) coffee and a glass for a small child on the grounds that the "boss" didn't "want" that. We could order still water from the bottle. One waitress seemed very listless, the other seemed rather friendly and tried hard. We sat nicely on the large terrace, the ambience inside is nothing special. We can't judge the menu. The toilets were clean, but (as advertised on the notice board) had a strong smell. There is a changing facility in the women's toilet. All in all, an average experience for me. It's a shame, because the location so close to the park and the ice cream itself have more potential. The location and the apparently good reputation (before the change?) are probably the main reasons for the high prices.

Great service here was super friendly and attentive and the food was great too, no problems.

We ordered something to take away and felt that we were treated unfriendly throughout. No greeting, no kind word or even a smile when ordering. Since there was no service (we ordered at the counter and took it straight away), there was no tip. Then a rude, derogatory comment from the service. Sorry, what exactly are you expecting an additional payment for? For the lack of hospitality or for our independent service? Unbelievable, such a demanding attitude. The food was nothing to complain about.

The food is very good. Real Italian cuisine. Service personnel still need to be trained. They probably wanted to finish work an hour before the end. The lamp was simply removed without a word. This could be solved more elegantly. It's stuffy inside and the toilets smell really bad. A few euros will probably have to be invested.

Prices are rather expensive (cheapest pizza is around 15€ except Margarita around 12€), service is good - we waited around 1 hour for service until it came to our table again, ambience is rather loud (despite it being during the week in the evenings ).

Well, we were a little disappointed too!!!! Pizza very good, ravioli delicious and grilled squid too! However, cold grilled vegetables, flat Tuscan chicken makes every Gockerl grill better, tagliatelle with Gorgonzola is much too firm and actually without sauce! The service took great care of us! However, price/performance is not OK

TL;DR Food 1/10 Stopped by hungry after work. The first time I was so extremely disappointed with the food that I had to complain about it. Both mine and my companion's noodles were really hard. Was more like Al Cemente. The portion for 14.50 was quite small. Additionally served with the most boring sauce I have ever tasted. For bruschetta, I'm used to crispy baguettes and not lightly toasted...toast. For 8.5€ that was ridiculous :( 1 star bonus because we got money back for my companion's food because she didn't eat.

I haven't been to "La Gondola" for a long time, and from today on I don't want to go at all. The prices for the food offered are too high. The quality of the food is not good. The staff was the only nice thing about my visit. Not recommended… MFG and enjoy your meal elsewhere.☺️

Unfortunately the owner has changed and you have the feeling that the return on investment is the focus and not the guest and the quality of the food. In short: Price performance is not right at all. No love for Italian cuisine. You can't go wrong with a pizza, but it's not the cheapest. We had: Pizza Margherita €11.90 Spaghetti all bolognese €13.90 Tagliatelle alla norma 15.50€ Cyclist €4.90 Non-alcoholic wheat €4.90 Apple spritzer €5.50 The pizza was good. Extra olives or garlic would have cost €2.50 each. Floor was great. Tomato and cheese toppings were okay. Basil was exactly one leaf. I've eaten spaghetti alla bolognese better in many canteens. Any good Italian chef wouldn't have eaten them. The noodles were on point though. Tagliatelle alla norma. The dish did not contain any spices. There was also little taste of garlic and ricotta. Both sauces were uniform and lacked any subtlety. We were all full but it wasn't tasty. In the end we lost a lot of money for not much good food. There are much better Italians in Regensburg. We're happy to pay more, but it should be tasty. The service was mixed. Two waiters were courteous. Unfortunately the lady who brought the drinks and food was exactly the opposite. Stressed, stroppy, uncourteous and unprofessional. It's a shame that we didn't have a nice experience and that we didn't receive any Italian hospitality.

As a family, we were ripped off by the waiter with incorrect prices. It's sad when you need something like that. The catering industry doesn’t need such locations.

Yesterday I was at La Gondola with my girlfriend. I had the tagliatelle ai frutti di mare. The food was very good. The service was also very accommodating. Price-wise it was okay too. We'd love to come by again.

The pasta is perfectly cooked, the sauce creamy and delicious with just the right amount of bacon. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, and the service is super friendly.

Since Nino left, the store hasn't been the same. Almost 20€ for a Vitello Tonato, but 2 small slices of meat and warmed up small pieces of pizza bread. In addition, you have to argue every time because people always turn you away from the more expensive dish.

In terms of price they have gone up a notch. For a 0.5l drink over 5 euros I think it's just too much

Unfortunately, it now tastes average, the pizzas have become smaller and the prices higher. Pizza Margherita 11.90 euros and the side dish extra e.g. B. Onions 2.50 euros! The old prices are still available on the Internet (Google Maps menu). We always liked getting pizza there, but that won't happen anymore. That's really a pity. Ordered pizza for collection by phone and was ready for collection 10 minutes later (early afternoon). Will be back.

Unfortunately we can no longer recommend it...if you're not a long-term guest you won't be well served...everyone will be waved if they're regular guests and you'll be checked in and hardly even looked at...wait.longer. Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing either... it's a shame... I probably won't visit the Lagondola again.

Friendly team, you can say with a clear conscience, a very good selection of wines and also very, very tasty ice cream sundaes.

Since the new owner took over the restaurant, the selection has shrunk. The quality is still good (except for the ice cream) but the price is far too high.

A scoop of ice cream 2€ ok but for a touch of topping e.g. To then ask for an additional €1.50 for sprinkles on the ball, I can't keep my mouth shut...

The changing dishes on the daily menu have impressed us every time. We have a small child and are happy that he is always welcome too. The pizza is great and the pasta and fish dishes are always delicious. We like to go here or get something to take home.

Great ice cream parlor, I would recommend La Gondola with a clear conscience for ice cream! The food is tasty but definitely nothing special. I would definitely advise against cycling. If you're in the city park you can take it with you, the pizza is tasty, but the ingredients are definitely not high quality, the pasta was pretty poor, for 16-20€ per pizza/pasta I expect a different level.

Expensive restaurant for good food with small portions. The service is very good. The restaurant is located next to the Stadtpark, easily accessible for everyone.

Very good service. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. Little salad and not fresh, very little pasta, dry and lukewarm... Ambiance is still nice.

Absolutely ridiculous what we were served here. The tortellini was definitely not homemade and seemed like the dish had been warmed up in the microwave. Simply loveless. That's exactly how it tasted. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

I can't understand the negative reviews at all. I work in the catering industry myself and when it came to service (generous accommodating of special requests) and food (very tasty and exactly the right portion size) I had absolutely nothing to complain about! The lasagne, tortellini and tiramisu were amazing!! We will be back! Thanks Martin!

The food is good but unfortunately very expensive.

We had a wonderful evening, with very tasty food and very good service. Davide particularly stood out here, although everyone else was also very accommodating and friendly. The presentation of the fresh fish convinced us. The preparation was very delicious.

Lasagna to take away wasn't even half a portion.

Dry 1/2 chicken with a little (wilted) salad without dressing for €21.50, according to information a "Tuscan specialty" called pollo al mattone. Here a grilled chicken for €5-6 is better. 5 slices of unripe tomato with burrata for €14.50, loveless and without any dressing. We had to ask several times for salt, pepper and oil. Price/performance ratio not okay. Service not particularly friendly and rather bored. I had hoped that the restaurant would have improved under new management, but I was completely wrong here. I won't be coming back any time soon!

Italian restaurant in a residential area near stadtpark. Friendly Camerieres and delicious food, no complaints.

An absolute disgrace. A small side salad €7! Main course gnocchi with gorgonzola. The gnocchi wasn't even homemade! The sauce just like it came from a packet! It tasted bland!!! Then Italian tearjerkers outside too! No thanks! The staff isn't really motivated. And the friendliness went like this... One drink each for 2 people. Main course salad and espresso just under €70 with tip!! Normally I and my husband pay around €40 together when we go out to eat! We will definitely not visit this restaurant again. Can NOT recommend it!

I used to be a regular there. Before the change of ownership took place. Portions far too small and the price... the focus here is now on maximizing profits, but without me.

After a long break, we have now been to this restaurant three times. What can I say? It's an absolute dream. The Italian chef, Dario, conjures up kitchen dreams. Finally a place that serves real spaghetti carbonara without cream. The pizza is light and incredibly tasty. In addition to the normal menu, which is a bit tricky, there is a day menu with absolute special features. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant!

We visited La Gondola on my birthday, the welcome was warm and accommodating, everything went great with the reservation. The ambience in the restaurant is very chic and elegant yet traditional, which adds to the charm of the restaurant. After a short time of arrival, we ordered our drinks and were served immediately. The wine (Rosé// ALIE ROSE TOSCANA FRESCOBALDI) is highly recommended and the wine service was also very professional. After we ordered our food, we were given a small snack, paninni with olive oil, which were delicious and even warm. The main course came within 30 minutes. Which was super quick because the place was almost full and that on a Wednesday evening. My girlfriend ordered vitello tonnato and I ordered orecchiette della nonna. We were both very happy with the quality and taste of the food. As a surprise, Elena, the daughter/operations manager, gave us 2 short meals and a dessert on the house because she noticed it was my birthday. All in all, a really nice evening with delicious food and great, authentic and warm hospitality, that's exactly how it works!! We'll definitely be back. Keep it up Team La Gondola :)

This was my first time at La Gondola since it reopened and I experienced a bitter disappointment here. The lasagne was a disgrace with an outrageous price. It only has several layers of pasta sheets and passed without a gram of minced meat. This actually deserves 0 stars. I wonder if this place even has a chef. This place saw me for the last time!

Was now at La Gondola for the first time since it reopened. I really liked it. Had pizza with burrata and a small salad. Service was good, not exceptional but really good. Ambiance is pleasant, not exceptional, but pleasant.

Today we were back at La Gondola for the first time since the handover. The reception and "our" very attentive waiter were very friendly. We ordered, among other things, a Polpo and a pistachio parfait, based on the waiter's recommendation. All three of our courses were excellently prepared and of high quality. All in all, a very good Italian restaurant that clearly stands out from the pizza chains. And I am very happy to appreciate this achievement and reward it generously. We booked a table again for Easter when we have our family dinner. Thanks to the entire team!

…when tent meets Italy Berlusconi wakes from the dead… It's a shame what the former traditional restaurant has become - an absolute joke If you want to know how to conjure up a classic from Italy ( Rigatoni / Penne al Forno ) into an inedible porridge, you've come to the right place - the toilets were definitely used intensively afterwards, please repaint them. Grilled scampi...I'll save myself any comment Absolute impudence on the part of the shop….keep staying with the tent and the cold but give Italy its boot A SHAME of the store!!!!

The wine was good and inexpensive. Hence 2 points. The lasagne was small, lukewarm and boring or almost tasteless. The fennel salad was extremely overpriced for what it was. I thought he had something special for just under 10 euros, e.g. B. Almonds. But it was just roughly chopped fennel and some rocket with vinegar and oil.

They kept walking past our table. Made a lot of noise learning coffee grounds. Bottles were placed into the carriers with a lot of momentum. Ate average pizza like anywhere else. We couldn't get us as guests. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

15€ for a Pizza Diavola to take away (in the west of Regensburg) is from another planet. Pizza is small, tastes ok.

The food was delicious (especially the pizza was great). But the prices are simply tough. We've been there twice since changing and find it just too expensive. A pity!

A pleasant dinner together with colleagues. very friendly service. Drink orders were taken quickly and a good selection of food was available. A card that isn't overloaded - I think it's good because it promises better quality. The food ordering and preparation was very quick and freshly made pasta and pizza were served. My tortellini was very good in terms of taste and consistency for a restaurant in Germany; But in terms of taste, they don't quite come close to the homemade versions and fillings from Valeggio sul Mincio. The large dining room offers a pleasant environment with enough seating and distance from neighboring tables despite the very open furnishings. So far perfectly fine and clean. This also applies to the toilets. Payment by card is easy and the prices are okay. But that's certainly not the fault of the restaurant and in terms of the service it's definitely okay for a restaurant like this. The costs are now very high for operators and this does not affect the quality. This suits the restaurant class in the upper midfield. I'm already looking forward to a follow-up visit today.

2 x drinks (shandy and wine spritzer), 2 x pizza (very small, lots of dough, few toppings) and a small mixed salad = €50 in total! Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The taste was somewhat OK, but the service was very nice and the ambience was rustic. Maybe pasta dishes would have been a better choice for us? Unfortunately, price/performance was not ok for our visit today!

We ordered 4 pasta dishes to pick up. The fastest possible pick-up time was 6:30 p.m. Even though I was there at 6:20 p.m., the dishes were already ready and waiting to be picked up. Actually positive, if it weren't pasta dishes. Over time, the pasta collapses and absorbs the sauce, which makes it no longer fun to eat. In terms of taste, I would say you could also open a can of Maggi. Just as little fun. Orechiette alla Nonna with salsiccia should actually have some oomph in terms of taste thanks to the sausage, it could have been Nuremberg grilled sausages without any taste. All in all bland, already cold and packed together. Pasta without a clear cooking point (tagliatelle well above al dente, orechiette well below) All around a terrific disappointment. Only the ambience in the restaurant was very appealing after the renovation and the staff was very friendly. Was greeted by everyone who walked past me.

Since the Glöckle takeover -> prices have risen extremely, quality and taste have declined, ordering online is extremely complicated. La Gondola has gone from a nice, friendly and relaxed restaurant to a "luxury" rip off which is a shame. All the Italian charm lost

The food was average in my opinion but still tasty, the service was good. The atmosphere is old but the layout is very good in my opinion. However, the price of the food was a bit too expensive for me, especially the drinks are very expensive compared to other Italian restaurants.

Pizza was quite good, but for just under €16 (I think it's a bit expensive) it wasn't my favorite and wasn't exactly very big either. The ambience is nice but in my opinion it can't quite compete with a real Italian pizza.

The portions are quite small, the food was better before the change of operator.

Top pizzas and always characterful people and authentic service boys and girls. Atmosphere away from the tables is a bit antique but somehow very harmonious. Nice table culture. We've been there many times and it will stay that way.

Since the founding of “La Gondola” We were guests once a week. Even after the reopening in October. Unfortunately we were disappointed. There were almost only 0.5l drinks left. E.g. no more small apple spritzer. A mini menu on which - even though it was an Italian restaurant - there was no spaghetti. Small portions were not available after 6 p.m. The food was only lukewarm, lasagna hot on the outside and cold on the inside. It wasn't any better even after complaining. The staff was also no longer as accommodating as before. Finally, a compliment to the pizza makers. The pizza was crispy on the outside and the toppings were juicy. But since the introduction of electronic ordering devices for the staff, it was no longer possible to pay "half half" if we shared a pizza. The background music was also louder and felt more like a beer tent than an Italian restaurant. It's a shame, but after over 40 years, “La Gondola” is no longer an option for us. Unfortunately I have to disagree with your response to my recession. The 20% discount for seniors: According to the card, seniors are only available until 6 p.m. The background music wasn't Italian and a large selection of fish dishes? Calamari, scampi but only 1x cod?? We were there more than 1 week in a row. There was no weekly changing menu. !!

Pizza doesn't compare to the old La Gondola. There were three of us and we all agreed that we would no longer eat pizza here. Have been here at least once a month for the past few years. That will no longer be the case. The musical sound during the meal takes some getting used to.

Very pleasant atmosphere. The architecture of the building is already an eye-catcher. The service is always friendly and accommodating. I was very impressed with the pizza (which is really not easy). I will definitely come back.

Alles richtig gemacht, lieber Alfred Glöckl. Speisenauswahl völlig ausreichend, das Essen sehr gut und das Personal freundlich. Wir uns unsrer Begleiter haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Leider war der Besuch von unfreundlichem Personal (oder Chefin) überschattet. Wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen und ich fragte mehrmals nach ob wir denn bleiben sollen. Eine Erfahrung die wir nicht noch einmal machen werden
