L'Osteria in Regensburg

We've been regulars since it opened, but sadly, not anymore. Our standard pizza (arugula) and the Caesar salad, which we usually get when we're just peckish, have deteriorated significantly. Both the taste and the texture have gone downhill. The salad must have been sitting in the fridge for quite some time. They did offer us a complimentary espresso, but I didn't need that. Unfortunately, this isn't our pizzeria anymore. It might be fine for the masses of tourists, though. Sorry!

Delicious pizza and salads! My absolute favorite is the Insalata Pollo with the irresistible arugula dressing 🥰 The team is incredibly friendly and L'Osteria is so cozy! I'll definitely be back 😄

One of the best places to visit in Regensburg! As an Asian, it’s usually hard for me to find a place with truly good food, but this restaurant honestly impressed me. They explained every item on the menu with so much patience, especially the pizzas and pastas. I ended up ordering the spaghetti, and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is amazing, the vibe is warm and welcoming, and most importantly, the staff is outstanding. I really appreciate their management and the wonderful waitress who helped me. Highly recommended — a must-visit spot in Regensburg!

We received a warm welcome, and even without a reservation, we were seated immediately! The incredibly friendly staff took care of everything we could have wished for! And the food was simply amazing! The pizzas were enormous and of the highest quality! I especially loved the truffle ravioli, which were absolutely incredible! The open-plan design can make it a bit noisy at times, but that's no reason to worry! I will definitely be back!

Large portions, a beautiful establishment, uncooked mushrooms defrosted, and the cheapest cheese. Not tasty - expensive.

I've visited this pizzeria several times and have always been very satisfied. It's located in the city center, close to everything, which is very convenient. The atmosphere is very pleasant, cozy, and typical of a pizzeria, and it's also interesting to watch the dishes being prepared in the kitchen. The dining area is spacious, and while it can get quite busy, it doesn't detract from the comfort at all. I've tried several different pizzas here, and I've enjoyed them all very much. The pizzas are quite large—a bit much for one person, but just right for two. If you can't finish it all, you can take the rest to go, which is very convenient. The service is decent and friendly. The only minor drawback is that you have to wait a little while for the pizza. Also, the prices are a bit higher compared to other pizzerias, but not by much—so they're perfectly acceptable.

We had a lovely table for two with a great view of the restaurant. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was friendly and attentive, the very large pizzas arrived relatively quickly and were absolutely delicious. It's also great that you can order a pizza with two different toppings on each half!

I had reserved a table for 15 people. By mistake, we drove to L'Osteria in Neutraubling. When we called to find out where we were, we explained the error, and the gentleman on the phone was incredibly understanding. Apparently, both restaurants are part of the same business, and we were very happy with our meal. Huge pizzas, a fantastic salad, and even better desserts. Highly recommended!

The adjoining room is perfect for medium-sized family gatherings. The food is good, and so is the service. I highly recommend it.

It's okay, but not my first recommendation. The pizzas used to be much tastier and more flavorful. The large pizza, however, remains unchanged. The restaurant is already packed. It gets quite loud, and the tables are close together. The service is quick and friendly. Ultimately, the price is high. We paid almost €50 for two pizzas and two drinks, and for that price, the pizzas should taste much better.

My family and I often go to L'Osteria for pizza. We usually prefer simple pizza, especially for our daughter, but the last four or five times we've unfortunately had to eat completely burnt pizza. We've always said okay, it happens, we don't want to be the "bad guys," and we've never complained. But today was particularly bad. We had to order something else for our daughter because this time the pizza was rock hard and barely edible, more like chips or something similar. Even though I always say during the order that we don't want burnt pizza... it doesn't matter, in the end it's always the same pizza. What a disappointment! And the whole thing cost €55 + €5 tip. It's not even enough to get decent service. A complete disaster.

Used to the superb L'Osterias in Prague, I couldn't help but be a bit disappointed by the pizzas here. It was quite ordinary, dry, and completely different. The portion is still huge though, and the place nice.

The pizzas are really great, and so are the salads. But why use sunflower oil in spaghetti aglio e olio...? Sure, it's cheaper, but it absolutely needs olive oil; otherwise, it just doesn't taste right. As an Italian restaurant, you'd think they'd know that. The service and everything else is excellent.

There were four of us. Making the reservation via the app was, once again, seamless. The pizza was delicious, the Erdinger Ur-Weiße was excellent, and the Primitivo served at L'Osteria was superb! The very friendly and impeccable service from the two young ladies also deserves special mention. We deducted one star for the music being too loud. Thank you so much; we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

A true piece of Italy in the heart of the city! We were thrilled – a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making you feel at home immediately. The service was attentive, friendly, yet unobtrusive – you can tell the heart and soul of the place. The food was simply fantastic: fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The pasta was al dente, the pizza had a crispy base and aromatic toppings, and the tiramisu to finish was heavenly. The wine also matched perfectly – you can tell that true connoisseurs are at work here.

The L’Osteria in Regensburg is our go to spot for lunch or dinner whenever we want great food for an affordable price, many options and great service! The staff is always willing to help and very efficient. We especially appreciate the option to split a pizza for two people, where we can both get a different kind - it’s perfect for when you’re craving pizza but don’t feel like having a huge portion.😊 Can’t recommend this place enough.

We have been here several times, always satisfied, we especially appreciate the option of pizza with two different halves and the approach of the staff. We recommend this branch, but others that we visited, for example in Berlin, are also equally pleasant. The loyalty application is great, where you can easily collect points for coffee or something sweet, for example.

We had reserved a table for 4 p.m. for two people and were assigned a small table directly in front of the cloakroom. Guests were constantly coming to our table to hang up or retrieve their coats, so much so that, as the person sitting in front of us, we had to bend away and inevitably made physical contact with our clothes or with the other guest searching for them. When we changed our chairs, it didn't help; our jackets were lifted sideways over the table. One of us even apologized for disturbing them again. The restaurant was half empty at this time. When the food arrived, we had no room left for our two salads, two pizzas, and drinks, and eating became a challenge with the blunt knives. Unfortunately, there was no ambiance at this table. When we spoke to the server about it, he called the restaurant manager, as he was responsible for assigning seating, but he didn't address our complaint. We had reserved two seats and not a table. All other free tables would have to be kept free for later, and he left. At the bar, I saw him gossiping with another employee, looking over at us, with grand gestures. The server who served us was extremely friendly and very professional until the end. If it were only about her, she would have deserved 5 stars. She then at least offered us the next table. However, since this wouldn't have made any significant difference, we left it at that and quickly finished our meals. She then packed the remaining pizza into a box for us to take away. I recommend the manager put themselves in the customer's shoes and be served at this table with their full wardrobe on. Perhaps then they'll come to the conclusion that the menu should be placed elsewhere, or that the table size should be adjusted slightly to reflect your establishment's flagship, the XXL pizzas. This was our first time at this restaurant and we became aware of it because we had a voucher for a three-figure amount. We would have loved to have had a really good time and would have gotten rid of it completely that evening. However, we will be happy to visit another branch next time to see if it is more inviting to linger.

The pizzas were huge and really good. It's a bit noisy, but you can still have a good conversation (hard with hearing aids). The restaurant is also recommended for its good location. You do have to make a reservation, though.

There were six of us celebrating a birthday. It was lovely, the waitress was super friendly, and I would definitely recommend it to people who enjoy good food.

Six of us celebrated a friend's 18th birthday here. The food is delicious, portions are generous, especially the pizzas. The staff is very friendly. The only downside: it's quite loud (lots of people and music), but you can still have a conversation, so it's not too bad.

Very good food, but a bit noisy

You can combine two pizzas (half and half) which is nice. Pizzas were really lovely (even the next day) and yes, concept of L’Osteria pizzas and their sizes is in every L’Osteria in every country. I guess you can ask for regular size, but bigger pizza is more fun.
