L'Osteria in Regensburg

I'm really disappointed. The Lostaria is unfortunately no longer what it used to be. The new staff is unfriendly and you just don't feel welcome. The atmosphere is now completely uncomfortable – it used to be much nicer here, and you felt comfortable. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore. It's a shame, I probably won't be coming back.

As usual, delicious food. Very friendly service. Many guests have also noticed this. If you like good food and friendly staff, this is the place for you. The restaurant is located right in Regensburg's beautiful old town.

Everything's been good so far. Very friendly, competent service, and the food is also good and typical. However, the pizzas are completely oversized. Why? No average eater could manage that. Suggestion: a bit smaller and €2-3 cheaper. That would make sense, in my opinion.

Food is SO good. The pizzas are huge, but can order half or split it with all different toppings on each half too. Pasta super yummy too. The quinoa salad is to die for. don’t forget the lambrusco either! Staff is nice and fairly attentive.

Delicious pizzas, but after eating, we were all thirsty all night long (so much salt in the pizzas?). The waiters were very friendly, but couldn't keep up with our requests; it was way too busy. This also made the acoustics very poor, and we had to shout at each other to be heard.

We visited L'Osteria and were thrilled! The pizza and pasta were truly delicious, and the antipasti appetizers were also very impressive – fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Great service and a pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

The eight of us had a lovely evening and felt very comfortable. The food was delicious and reminded us of our vacation in Tuscany. The service was prompt and friendly.

The food was really delicious. I've been coming here since I was a child. I sometimes eat at the restaurant, or sometimes I grab something to eat with my friends and we sit by the Danube.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ – Pizza giants, noise orgies, and top-notch staff The food at L'Osteria in Regensburg is truly fantastic – especially the pizza. But be careful: These pizzas are so large that even the mere sight of them would send a normal Central European stomach into shock. My tip: Definitely share between two people – and the best part: You can even have different toppings on each half. Two flavors, one pizza – brilliant! The ambiance, on the other hand… well, it's unbelievably loud, cramped, and hectic. When music at "disco volume" was added to the general cacophony, conversation at the table was practically only possible in sign language. It was astonishing that the staff remained completely relaxed and extremely friendly despite this sensory overload. The service and organization really worked here – and that deserves respect. Conclusion: 4 stars for the great pizza and the friendly staff. One star deducted for the constant noise, which makes even rock concerts seem edgy.

The service was incredibly good. The small, nimble waitress with the fluffy hair—I think her name was Maja—was always in a good mood and worked flawlessly. She took her time with us and gave us good advice.

What an amazing experience! The surprise was the oversized 45cm pizzas. Getting a delicious pizza base for this size is a real art. Honestly, they succeeded brilliantly. Our compliments. The only downside was that the tables were actually too small for these pizzas. 😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Very annoyed and deceived: Lunch special => rip-off and fooling customers First of all: the biggest pizza in Regensburg and very tasty, the service always friendly We were at L'Osteria in Regensburg again today. We saw the lunch special on the window (Mon-Fri until 3 p.m.): pizza + drink €14.95 - pasta + drink €11.95. So we went in and ordered both. In the end, however, the pizza and pasta were charged at the regular price, and the drinks were charged extra. I then approached the manager and asked for a correction to the bill. This was rejected with the words, "Then you should have explicitly stated when ordering that you wanted the lunch special." Only then was I shown a special lunch menu, which, however, was not displayed anywhere on the tables during lunchtime. This is how you are initially attracted by the window, and if you don't explicitly state inside that you want this lunch special, they will take the cashier's checkout and make you pay the regular price, plus the drinks. I felt like I was being ripped off and won't be back, even though our service was friendly and the food was delicious. But I consider this a total rip-off. If the specials menu had been placed on the table right away, or if the waiter had asked us directly whether we wanted the lunch special, that would have been more honest. If the specials are posted on the window, the restaurant should stick to them and not deceive guests in this way.

The food was good. The service was great, BUT the restaurant's philosophy is terrible. I wanted a glass of water with my drink, but unfortunately, I didn't get one, so I had to order still water. They should take a look at America. You can get as much water as you want there. I only wanted a small glass.

Losteria in Regensburg used to be THE pizzeria, but unfortunately, it's declined considerably. Service is a disaster. The waitresses are overwhelmed; the one who's supposedly better than the rest of us is clearly showing off and seems to do nothing, but he lets his colleagues do all the more. A simple scoundrel whose shoes you can resole while walking... A quick pizza here turns into half a day because of the wait, whether for drinks or food, even though the place is half empty.

Very good pizza in Regensburg's old town. The service was friendly, and my family and I were pleased. This was our fifth visit to the pizzeria, and it certainly won't be our last.

The food was great and the waitress was friendly. However, after the pizza was served, I tried to approach a server and ask for spicy oil. I tried for 10 minutes, but no luck. The servers somehow always looked the other way. Then it finally worked, and my request was granted. They just didn't deliver the requested item. I think, even when it's busy, a server should keep an eye on the guests. The guest might want to order a drink or something else.

Me and my family went there three times in a row, it was amazing. All dishes served are delicious (desserts and cocktails included). The service is really professional, employees speak a fluent english so it's easy for anyone to order. The serving time can be a bit long though it really is worth it. Besides the restaurant is clean. You can eat in quantity and with quality for a reasonable price Perfect for a dinner with your family and friends! It's a must when going to Regensburg.

Typical yummy L’Osteria taste. Friendly, smiling waitress despite the enormous heat that day! Pizzas are big, can be shared and each half can be different. Kids pizza available. (Choice limited) The place itself is not great. A big room with many tables. Not very cozy. It can get very loud to a point where it’s hard to have a conversation. Due to the open kitchen and the open windows it can get extremely hot in the dining area. Table reservation recommended.

Anyone who thinks the pizza here is delicious has, in my opinion, never eaten good pizza. Too bad for them.

The food here has been better before. L'Osteria Regensburg was always our favorite of all the osterias. Today the food was just OK, but nothing more. Considering it was quiet, we had to wait a very long time for our food. The pizza arrived quite pale, and the outside was very dry and floury – everything was a bit lackluster. Perhaps that's why it was less busy? New chef? New recipe? When paying, there were four(!) options for how much you were willing to tip – also a bit cheeky, I think. And I still can't get used to the waitress using the informal "Ikea" without asking. Best regards

Our visit to Losteria revealed room for improvement. I chose a turkey and cheese salad, which I felt was unreasonable at €15 for the portion size. The use of pre-packaged salad, in particular, doesn't justify the price. As an experienced cook, I could clearly see this. In comparison, Dean & David offers higher-quality salads with filling portion sizes for the same price. Even for me, as someone with a small appetite, the portion size wasn't justified. A rework of the concept seems advisable. However, the service, especially the waitress, was excellent.

Everything is just right here. Tip: Share 1 pizza - you can also have it mixed toppings. 1 pizza is almost too big for one person.

I'm actually a family-run business and generally rather skeptical when it comes to large chains – but L'Osteria in Regensburg always manages to prove me wrong. I've ordered here many times and have never been disappointed. The quality is consistently high, the portions are generous (the pizza is notoriously large), and the taste is simply perfect. The location is also impressive: The ambiance is harmonious, modern, but with a certain Italian flair. I particularly like the outdoor seating – perfect for a relaxed summer evening. The service was also consistently friendly and attentive during my visits. Bottom line: Even though it's a chain, they do a good job here. And I say that as a self-proclaimed fan of small, family-run restaurants.

I'm always happy to come back. The food is good, the service is fast and friendly, and the ambiance is perfect. The only thing that bothers me is the noise level when the restaurant is at full capacity.

Very large pizza, tasty, actually enough for two people. The service is attentive to customers.

We had booked in advance for 9 pm due to our expected arrival from our layover in the Netherlands. We arrived earlier and were immediately greeted warmly 😊. They also immediately checked if a table was available. The lady who helped us was super friendly and really went above and beyond to make everything as comfortable as possible for us. The food arrived quickly, and it was all good and tasty! By the way, be sure to find a parking garage/spot in the area in advance, as street parking is difficult due to the number of residents.
