About half the dishes were unavailable, service was practically nonexistent, and the usual card payment wasn't possible...

We were there today and we didn't like the restaurant. There are a lot of insects that "share" your food, and sometimes you even accidentally eat one! I can't recommend it.

The food was good, but there were too many flies getting into it, which bothered me a lot and made me feel disgusted; I wanted to vomit because of it. The waiter wasn't very friendly and kept staring at me and my colleagues the whole time…

Unfortunately, a complete disappointment! Flies were flying everywhere… even in the food. It was simply disgusting; we could barely touch our food. When we pointed this out to the waiter, the only response was that the flies were there "because of the food smell." No apology, no understanding, no solution. In the end, we still had to pay the entire bill, even though we could hardly eat anything. Zero goodwill and no professional way of dealing with guests. A real shame! Something like this shouldn't happen in a restaurant. Never again!

Absolutely terrible place, never again. The service is incredibly unfriendly, they practically throw food in your face and give rude answers. There are also tons of fruit flies flying around the place, which I didn't just notice, but also the people at the next table. They complained as well. It's obvious that hygiene is seriously lacking. The food doesn't taste good either.

The first and last time I've been there, there were flies on my food, and after eating I got a stomach ache.

I really don't recommend anyone to eat there because it's not worth it for the price we paid. We waited a long time, the food was very dry and the staff were unfriendly, and I don't recommend the meat either.

Review The Öz Urfa Ocakbasi restaurant is located right on the busy main street in Duisburg Marxloh and is quite large. There were three of us there on a Saturday afternoon, and the restaurant was about 80 percent full. After being seated, we had to wait about 20 minutes before a server even noticed us, despite actively approaching us. The service was inattentive and careless. We ordered a soup, two lahmacun, and a doner kebab. The soup was good, but some of the lahmacun were undercooked and some were still raw. The doner kebab was a disaster; I found meat cartilage in the food, which I had to remove, and it gave me a stomach ache. Overall, the value for money is not good; I cannot recommend the restaurant due to poor service, poor quality, and excessively high prices.

So, first, you walk into the store, then you look at what you want to eat, and I swear, I waited 15 minutes before I could order anything. That's not normal. They just left us sitting there waiting. After I ordered, it took another 20 minutes. So, I felt like I waited 40 minutes in a restaurant before I could eat anything. Sorry, this store has no customer respect.

Last time I was there. Tastes differ. The Iskender plate always tasted delicious there and was beautifully presented. I went back after a long time. When this plate was brought today, I was surprised by the presentation. The taste reflected the same. The bread was hard instead of soft. The yogurt sauce was really sour. I didn't like the meat either, and the tomato sauce barely tasted of tomato.

The worst Iskender I've ever had. Iskender bread was full of oil, dry, and too big, with no butter on top. I waited 40 minutes.

The most delicious kebab is only available here, the atmosphere and the staff were wonderful

My visit to Öz Urfa Duisburg was unfortunately extremely disappointing. The first impression was negative, as the food was served on cheap-looking plastic dishes – more reminiscent of a kindergarten or hospital than a restaurant. The meat was of very poor quality: the smell was unpleasant, the Adana kebab was rubbery and far too spicy. Instead of being enjoyable, I felt like I was expecting stomach problems. Even the side dishes couldn't help. In addition, the tables weren't cleaned properly, and the overall hygiene standards left a very poor impression. At the end, I was served tea, which unfortunately only rounded off the negative experience – watery, stale, and simply inedible. All in all, this visit was a huge disappointment. Neither the quality of the food, nor the cleanliness, nor the service lived up to what one would expect from a restaurant. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, and I certainly won't be returning.

I definitely do not recommend it to anyone. We were five people and unfortunately the food was very bad. I had the Iskender kebab and it was the worst Iskender kebab I have ever had in my life. I think the cook burned the sauce on the stove. It had a bitter and unpleasant taste. My wife and the others who had the döner kebab also said it was absolutely bad. The staff was not polite and had rude behavior. They did not even give the customers a glass of tea because it was Saturday. Also, it was not crowded at lunch time.

Kupkuruydu ve kömür gibi yanmış, taş gibi sertti. Beyti kebap aldım, gerçekten çok kötüydü — sos berbat, hiç lezzetli değildi, sanki kırmızıya boyanmış su gibiydi. Yoğurt da aynı şekilde kötüydü. Çorbaları fena değildi ama patlıcan kebabı da denedik, o da yanmıştı. Bir daha asla gelmeyeceğim.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Öz Urfa in Duisburg. I ordered Adana – the meat was as tough as chewing gum, completely over-seasoned, so that all you could taste was the bad spice. The fries were cold, and the meze consisted of nothing more than yogurt with dill – no garlic, as is usually the case. My wife ordered Iskender: drenched in oil, the meat burnt and tough. Neither of us could even finish our dishes. After we complained, the owner showed no sympathy and still charged the full amount. Absolutely unacceptable to us – we will never eat there again.

No need to be fooled!!! It takes a thousand witnesses to call Adana truly Adana. It's raw as a belt, floury/baking soda. We ordered the mixed grill. The salad smells and is clearly on the counter. It's impossible not to get into all the dust and dirt in the shop. The top layer of the appetizers is dark and hardened from waiting. When you cut into the skewers and examine them, their colors are faded. The chicken is gray inside, instead of white. I definitely wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't worth the €60, unfortunately.

I recommend the dry beans and rice dish.

We were very disappointed with our visit to Öz Urfa Restaurant Café. The waiter was extremely rude and even aggressive towards us. This kind of behavior towards guests is absolutely unacceptable and ruined our entire stay. We will definitely not return and unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

It was okay. We were there years ago, and I can't compare it to today. The rice was lukewarm, the meat was okay. The Turkish pizza was actually pretty good!

I will never go again. We ate lahmacun and beyti on 29.06.2025. If we hadn't eaten, we couldn't make it in the morning due to nausea and stomach pain. I don't recommend it and I won't go again.

I only had a meat soup, but it had a really strange taste. Apparently, you don't get any appetizers or anything to accompany your meal unless you order directly from the grill. It was also a novelty for me that the food came before the drinks, although I must say we even had to ask for drinks again.

We ate there today. The food was absolutely delicious. The meat at et paca was still raw, the mercimek tasted of flour, and there was a hair in half of the doner kebab. When we told the waiter, he said, "Half of it has already been eaten," as if it were our fault that the hair was in the middle of the doner kebab. Leave it and go eat somewhere else. It wasn't worth it.

We had dinner here with my child. I ate lamb shish and his child had soup. The hands of the masters were very nice, it was very delicious, I thank them. I asked for the table to be cleaned. The waiter came to wipe the table with the cloth he dropped on the floor. I didn't wipe it, I sent it back. He brought a clean cloth and wiped it. The waiter with glasses and a big beard, who threw the menu in front of us aggressively, never came back. Although there were not many customers inside, we had a hard time ordering. The long-haired waiter gathers all the waiters to the table that he knows or has friends, and they circle around them. The other customers don't matter, they should wait. The waiters are choosing customers. And they are choosing without hiding, without hiding, by showing it off. While the appetizers and salads were given to the one-person table next to us and the tables across from us, we were not given them. I asked the long-haired gorson why they weren't given to us. He made fun of my mind. It is not given to lamb shish and small orders. It had to be a large order. We had to order for 3-4 people or a tray. I thought they gave salad and appetizers as a complimentary treat along with the grill? I almost apologized to the waiters for coming here to eat.

The food was subpar, the staff was amateurish, the tables were dirty, and the menus were dirty. Not recommended!

If you want to be disgraced with your own money, this is a suitable restaurant. The waiters are sullen, the food takes 1 hour to arrive, what's the matter, they work according to the order. Unfortunately I can't recommend it, I think we were ripped off. Instead of the normal menu, they brought us a children's menu, but instead they took the normal price. Children's menu only had one skewer and that was also on the menu as a children's menu. The portions were really very small, the service was overwhelmed, we had to wait almost half an hour until someone at our table asked for our order and waited again 45 minutes until the food was there.

If you're hungry, the food was ok But still disappointing for the name öz Urfa. Nobody in Urfa would go to this restaurant because it has nothing to do with the taste of Urfa. I was at this restaurant recently and I have to say I was deeply disappointed. The staff was very uncoordinated and poorly organized. The order takes a long time and when the food finally came, part of the order was missing. We had to alert the staff several times that part of the order was missing. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant. There are certainly better options in the city.

Food was ok, waiters very overwhelmed, no structured operation, you have to ask waiters to clear the plates. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible, just a tip. Tea is always part of the service and is not included on the bill!!!

5/5 The food was delicious. I was at your place yesterday for Iftar. Everything was beautifully presented with mezze and dates, and the food arrived right on time for Iftar. However, I would appreciate it if one of the staff did the Ezan, or at least turned on the Ezan so everyone knew it was Iftar. But otherwise, everything was perfect. 👍🏻👏🏻

The food is OK, the employees don't speak German. Only one waiter understands German, but he constantly looks at his cell phone instead of paying attention to the guests. We have been eating here for 15 years and they recently renovated to provide more space options. Most of the time we eat grilled plates with fries and lahmacun in this restaurant and we really love it! The *meat* is incredibly tender and grilled to perfection – simply a delight! It was well seasoned, juicy and had a great grilled flavor. The *fries* were also crispy and fresh, which rounded off the dish wonderfully. Unfortunately, the Lahmacun no longer tastes like it used to, but it still tastes good. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. Just a little too loud and the seating on the walls a bit uncomfortable. They were already settled in. I can only recommend this restaurant if you fancy *tasty, high-quality grilled meat*. We will definitely come back

It's a real disappointment, they are trying to sell lahmacun without meat as having meat in it, they wrap the doner bread in aluminum and press it in the toaster. After eating as a family, we all had diarrhea and couldn't go to the toilet for 2 days. They bring the straw open. Those who care about their health won't go there.

No real taste. Tomatoes, cucumbers and so on have no taste. They just don't taste like anything. Doesn't even notice that these foods are there. Me and my daughter only ate half of it because we were hungry. The youngest daughter only ordered fries and was very happy with them. Service was in good. The only thing that bothered me was that the menu had been taken away again. It would be good if you left at least one card on the table. The ambience is great (we really liked it anyway). To all café/restaurant operators...please buy food with taste. A tomato should taste like a tomato and not like water...this applies to all foods. I was here for the first time and I think for the last time...simply because everything tasted like nothing...Of course I only tried one dish...maybe the other dishes are great...me I don't know and I don't want to find out anymore. We decided to have dinner as a family on the road at night, it has nothing to do with Ada! A meat that stretches like a belt with only baking soda added to the salt. One side is fried, there is a quarter to burn, the other side is raw, completely amateurish! Staff Lay Lay Lom comes to the table and leaves, opens his mouth, not a word, here you go, bon appetit, not a word! I don't think you should come unless you have to. It's been 25 minutes, empty plates in front of us, zero interest!

Missing from lamb skewer with rice grilled tomatoes and paparoni, ordered again, unfortunately not available and was not given after we had finished eating. Rice and lamb portion is little, sauce is very little, one portion for 3 people. The waitress was really running and seems to be under pressure, no time to notice things missing from the table!!!!! About 15 minutes later I saw grilled tomatoes on the table next to me!!!!

I ordered a grilled plate with lamb skewers and rice. The tomatoes and paperoni are missing from the dish. When I ordered again I was told they had forgotten. Afterwards the killer came and said, unfortunately there are no more. But the price remains the same for small plates.
