I've been to Öz Urfa several times and have really appreciated the all-you-can-eat breakfast in the past. Unfortunately, a lot seems to have changed in the restaurant, perhaps due to a new owner. What used to be impressive in terms of taste is now absolutely disappointing. In the past, you were allowed to take as many drinks from the fridge as you wanted with breakfast - a real advantage. But now the drinks are charged extra without prior notice. The employees don't inform you about this, so the unpleasant surprise only comes at the checkout when you suddenly have to pay additional costs. Neither signs nor information indicate this change - an absolute disgrace and extremely customer-unfriendly. Another problem: children pay the same price as adults, which I find really unfair. It seems as if they are only interested in the income here, without taking the guests into account. The quality of the food has also decreased significantly. The food used to be fresh and tasty, but now the breakfast is unfortunately bland and carelessly prepared. For me, Öz Urfa, which used to be an insider tip, is unfortunately no longer an option. Very disappointing!

I've been here twice already. I ordered a grill plate. Simply great. I think it's very good that there's something for everyone. Even mini lahmacun and kebab included. Dip and bread with it is simply awesome. Super

I must say that it is the best BBQ and turkish food in Essen. I have been to this restaurant many times and never gets disappointed. The portions are good and prices are average. I like there fresh house made bread. The staff is friendly. I will highly recommend this restaurant.

Was there on a late evening (during the week), with 3 friends, there were 4 of us in total. 2 people ate Adana, it tasted delicious and looked great. One of the colleagues had an Iskender. It was really not good, the meat was rubbery and full of hard pieces that you could only bite on and took away your appetite. After speaking to us, another dish was suggested to us, which the colleague politely declined because he had lost his appetite. We didn't have to pay the iskender either. Now to Adana one of us had stomach problems the next day and the other had food poisoning similar symptoms. The starter was bread with sauces which tasted very good and also looked very good. We can't complain about the service and there weren't any waiting times either

Doner kebab made from real veal, homemade, not industrially produced. I had the large kebab bag for €10, it was so big that I couldn't finish it. Next time the normal size for €7.50. Otherwise everything was good, meat, sauce, bread and salad. At the end there was also the obligatory tea on the house. Service was also friendly and quick. Absolute recommendation

I am writing this comment as someone who comes from gastronomy. After I placed the order, the beilages arrived and also the hot pita. The presentation and taste of the main course were amazing. The employees were also friendly and fast. When I come to Essen, I now know where to go.

We were here twice today. But there will never be a third time again! There are plenty of people on the street who would be happy to accept our money with more friendliness. We came in and were able to choose a table. The waiter, if you can call him that, seemed slightly overwhelmed and didn't have a friendly face. We received the menus quite quickly. After we ordered, the flatbread with the dips arrived. Our drinks were all placed on the corner by the young man (waiter) and yet in a restaurant he asked if that was possible or if we needed glasses. I just said, well, I would like a straw. Then 3 glasses came without comment! Then at some point the two grill plates arrived! I didn't have any food. My son and my husband noticed that my food was going to another table. Because someone had already complained. But we weren't offered a single word of apology in the form of language, so I had to wait while they were both already eating. When both were half finished, my husband asked if they had forgotten us, and they apologized because they had swapped the tables. I'll go on to say that 6/7 minutes later, you can hardly believe it, my food arrived!!!!! While the other two were now finished. Quite honestly!!!! We had also ordered tzatziki but oh well….. Everyone's food seemed to be good. My fries were totally over salted, the flatbread on top was so hot that my tongue and mouth really burned!!!! The halfway good thing was the meat. The taste is ok because there are no spices. Sorry when we asked for the bill the young man (waiter) at the cash register said payment would be made. Not a kind word, they didn't like it, they didn't want a cup of tea at the end...just nothing!!! But we were asked all this on our first visit... there was even a second piece of the delicious thin flatbread on the board without any incident... Well, today we spent our hard-earned money in this restaurant for the second and last time. So, you can scare away guests because you know there are enough of them who will come back, no matter what. These are my experiences today ☺️

This isn't my first time eating here, and it won't be the last either. The food is absolutely great, the bread is a dream. The service is always top, especially when Azad is there.

So I have to say you can't expect much for the price, but the wishes were taken into account by the employees. But I actually got the shock when I paid, I also had to pay for our 3 year old daughter!!!

We have been there several times now for the very good and extensive breakfast buffet and twice for dinner. There is absolutely nothing to complain about, very nice people, great selection of authentic Turkish food! The quality of the meat is also worth highlighting! Best grill plate ever!

Top breakfast buffet and top cuisine for lunch/evening. You can tell that the kebab is homemade. Everything at the highest level. In the photo is the mixed plate for 2 - unfortunately we didn't quite manage the large portion.

Today we went to our favorite breakfast restaurant with the family again after a long time. As always, the food was incredibly rich and delicious! It's not a breakfast in the traditional (German) sense, but more of a Turkish brunch, which we really like and prefer to any German breakfast. Yes, of course there is the German roll with jam, butter, honey, Nutella, as well as sausage and cheese toppings - but that's not what we want to eat there. The very tasty and extensive selection of Turkish delicacies is hard to beat. Drinks such as tea, Nescafe and three different breakfast juices are included. We'd love to come back!

By far the best kebab restaurant I've eaten at in Germany. Thanks to the masters and waiters, everything was very good.

Food was delicious. Ate a good scoop of Paça and delicious Dürüm at 3 a.m. In my opinion, the Dürüm kebab could have had a little more meat in it. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

The food was very tasty, the starters were also very generous and tasty. You get a huge hot Lavaş bread with dips as a starter. The main courses were also very tasty. If anything is forbidden, I waited 10 minutes for a glass of cola. I don't recommend you to go. By not eating, bad service, bad prices, it's getting worse, they are robbing people, they are serving bread and meat that others haven't eaten, it is not a family place, they give you 5 pieces of grilled food on each side, it costs 19 Euros, there are 4 small ones, 25 Euros. Today I had breakfast in the restaurant. It is so bad. I paid 12 euros. But it is said to have been a 5 euro breakfast. Either make a normal breakfast table or not.

We called before iftar to see if you had a seat. We have received the answer that you do not need to make a reservation and it is risky if you are late. We came too. Then you tried to make us out to be liars by saying "you don't have a reservation, you don't have a reservation, why didn't you make a reservation?" (our brother with the goatee). This was very disrespectful and rude. Luckily, two places were available and we had our iftar. But the rest of the brothers and sisters were very kind and helped us with everything.

If you open a restaurant in Germany, you should be fluent in German. Every single order was brought to the table wrong and cold! I could write a lot more, but I'll hold back here. The prices are a disgrace… The bread at Iskender was rock hard!!!

The service was quick and attentive, the atmosphere was modern. Unfortunately the kebab plate was not convincing. There was a lot of meat, but it was quite dry and tough. The meat, tzatziki and salad were seasoned extremely sparingly - I've never had to season the kebab meat until today, but the meat tasted so little that it was urgently needed. The tzatziki also only tasted slightly of dill, unfortunately you won't find the typical taste of garlic here. The lamb iskender tasted more intense in terms of meat, but the portion size was quite small. Conclusion: If you find kebab overly seasoned elsewhere, you will get your money's worth here. Unfortunately for me it lacked too much flavor.

I was there again today, January 31, 2024, and was able to try the breakfast. It's actually not breakfast in the traditional sense, but more like brunch. If you like a lot of sausages and cheeses, you're in the wrong place here. But there are so many things in different cold and warm versions that you can enjoy. Instead of filter coffee, there is tea and various cool drinks, which are included in the price. So it's not what you as a German would imagine a breakfast buffet to be like, but there are so many other delicious things that you can't get enough of, it's definitely worth it, even if you go there often nearby is… I was there on 01/22/24 because I had business nearby. The restaurant was still busy at 12 noon with guests taking advantage of the breakfast buffet. The rooms are nice and cozy, the staff is very accommodating. I then decided on the minced meat skewer with fries and salad. Beforehand there were delicious dips and a great tasting flatbread fresh from the oven. There is an absolute recommendation for everything. Great in terms of taste and appearance. You then had to pay at a cash register at the entrance. If I'm in the area again, I'd love to come back. Ich war bisher regelmäßig dort essen. Beim letzten Besuch war das Restaurant so voll, dass wir neben in der Bäckerei Platz nahmen. Er haben 2 Adana und 1 gemischten Teller bestellt. Zudem Ganzen war nur ein Zeelöffel cacık und scharfe Sauce. Bei den Anderen war ein kleiner Teller voll. Der Keller sagte zwar, dass er bringt hat aber nicht gemacht. Zudem war die Atmosphäre laut durch schreiende und toben de Kinder. War alles andere als angenehm.
