Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht, Es war unheimlich viel Lärm in der Küche und auch viel Streit Und der Chef ist einfach nur überheblich und da macht es wirklich keinen Spaß

Die Hähnchenspieße waren saftig, die Pommes knusprig und gut gewürzt. Der Salat war frisch und lecker, das Knoblauchbrot und die Dips ebenfalls. Preislich nicht ganz günstig, aber völlig okay bei der Qualität. Lediglich die Softdrinks (nur 0,2l verfügbar) mit 3€ sind schon wirklich recht teuer.

Leider stark nachgelassen, Wir waren mit unserem kleinen Sohn da. Wir sind jahrelange Stammkunde und liebten diesen Lokal. Das brot wurde immer frisch mit knoblauchsoße bereitgestellt. Und an dem letzten Tag war leider alles schlecht. Wir haben nur getoastetes Fladenbrot bekommen als Beilage. Wir haben eine Suppe und ein Dönerteller bestellt. Das Fleisch war lecker wie immer, dazu wollten wir noch eine kleine Protion Fleisch für meinen Sohn. 18 Monate. Fleisch wurde in einem mini Teller sofort geliefert. Beim bezahlen allerding haben die für die kleine Portion Fleisch, einfach mal ein Iskendermenü berechnet, obwohl wir nur etwas fleisch für meinen kleinen Sohn haben wollten. Ich weiss nicht wie man so abrechnen konnte, das war leider das letzte mal.

Für mich bester Dönermann der Stadt. Wirklich mega. 2x da gewesen, auch mit Freunden und jeder ist begeistert. Lecker, schnell und wirklich ein mega freundliches Team! Klasse! Bis in Kürze

18,50€ für einen Adana Kebab?! 11€ ein Döner?! Wenn wir nicht zu Besuch bei Freunden gewesen wären, hätte ich zurück gerufen und gesagt das wird das Essen für diesen Preis so nicht annehmen werden. 2 kleine Adana Spieße, eine kleine Hand voll Pommes und einen kleinen Salat. Für den Preis muss echt mehr kommen. Meine Frau das gleiche gegessen, haben dann abends Zuhause noch was essen müssen. Qualitativ auch nicht der Knaller, 3-4 Knorpelstücke im Adana gehabt. Schön deutlich besser und preiswerter (fairer) gegessen. Döner 8€ ist mittlerweile ja auch normal, aber was rechtfertigt bitte 11€ für einen Döner?!

Ein Restaurant, in das ich nicht unbedingt wiedergehen würde.

Als erstes möchte ich das Personal loben, sehr nett begrüßt und empfangen worden ob man stamm Gast wäre. Das Essen war ein Gedicht, von den Vorspeisen bis zum hauptgang. Wunderschönen Ambiente, sehr sauber und organisiert. Immer gerne wieder und lieben dank für den schönen Abend!!!

Der Fisch war wirklich sehr frisch und lecker, besonders das Salatdressing war ein echtes Highlight. Der Service war aufmerksam und herzlich. Wir hatten schon lange keinen so guten Fisch mehr gegessen. Wir können das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (wenn es möglich wäre!) Ich war heute, am 1. Mai 2026 um 11:30 Uhr, im türkischen Restaurant Bosporus – und ich schwöre, ich habe so etwas noch nie erlebt. Am Grill stand ein richtiger Bär von einem Mann, der sofort wusste, was er tut. Er hat mir nach seiner eigenen Empfehlung einen Döner zusammengestellt, und was soll ich sagen: Das war der unglaublichste, beste Döner meines Lebens. Perfekt gewürzt, saftiges Fleisch, frisches Brot, alles auf den Punkt. Ich würde diesem Laden am liebsten 6 Sterne geben, weil 5 einfach nicht ausreichen. Absolute Empfehlung für jeden, der echten Geschmack erleben will.

Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt meiner Ansicht nach nicht. Der Döner ist qualitativ definitiv kein Reinfall dennoch finde ich den Preis etwas hochgegriffen und die Fleischmenge geringer als ich gewohnt bin.

Immer wieder leckerer Döner, gegrilltes Fleisch und frischer Salat. Nicht zu vergessen die freundliche lockere Bedienung und die großen Portionen.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience. On Friday I ate lamb chops and then woke up in the night with stomach pains and diarrhea, which lasted all weekend!

I ordered a large doner kebab (€12), but unfortunately, they were out of bread. They offered me two small ones. Okay! I took the first one, but the meat had been microwaved, and the sauce was wrong—they'd just poured the other sauce over it. Then, with the second doner, which I didn't even take, they wanted me to pay €8.50 each for two small ones, so €16 in total compared to the original €12. I felt completely ripped off.

Best vegetable doner kebab in the world! Update 2025: The doner kebab remains perfect, but €5.x for a large order of fries (see photo) is too expensive for the amount! The aluminum foil was punctured multiple times, leaving small pieces of aluminum all over the fries.

It was my first time there, and I tried a doner kebab. The meat was dry, there was very little sauce, and when I paid, there was no thank you or anything. They simply left the change on the tray, even though I had my hand out. I also had to get my own napkins. Since there was hardly any sauce, I unfortunately had to throw away the dry meat in the end.

Excellent food, great service and top-notch staff

We tried the mixed grill and were actually only here by chance. The food was absolutely top-notch! Everything was grilled to perfection. The lamb was superb, as was everything else. The side dishes, like the salad and grilled bread, were also fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

We went there for dinner with friends and each had a dog 🐕 with us, no problem at all! The restaurant is very dog-friendly. The dishes were fresh, delicious, and authentic. If you like Turkish cuisine, you should definitely eat here! The lamb skewers are especially recommended; they're simply delicious!

We went to a fast-food restaurant. The food wasn't bad, but here comes this. You get stuck to the floor so much you have to take your shoes off. Check out the door handle. People, clean up, wipe down the tables. Do you have something against cleanliness? I'll come back when it's clean. I'll leave a new review then.

Today we picked up a doner kebab, a durum, and a small fries. We got a doner kebab that was completely dry, with sauce and doner meat on one side. It was a cold durum that immediately fell apart and was more like a wrap. The fries were okay. For the money they charge these days, we expect to get both the doner kebab and the durum as usual, and not something like this. Very annoying.

The food was good, but an employee made a very disrespectful comment when I tried to pay. I didn't have any cash and wanted to pay by card. He said it was only possible if I had a certain amount. In my opinion, the Bosporus restaurant is a pioneer of Turkish cuisine in Essen and therefore definitely worth a visit.

I've eaten at Bosporus several times. Most recently, I ordered a lamb skewer with fries. For starters, I received a small plate of salad and dressing. There was also a small bread basket with toasted pita bread and three sauces: tzatziki, garlic, and a spicy sauce. All sauces were homemade. The highlight was, of course, the lamb skewer. It came in a delicious marinade, and the meat was very tender. The fries were crispy, and overall, I was very satisfied with my meal. I can also recommend the chai I ordered with it. The portion was generous, and I was filling. It should be noted that card payments are apparently not encouraged, but are still possible. The prices are in the higher segment compared to other Turkish restaurants. As for the service, I found the waitresses to be just okay overall. They performed their duties well, but seemed a bit passive-aggressive in some situations. The restaurant is divided into two areas: a snack bar and a restaurant. The snack bar functions as a traditional kebab shop. The restaurant area has its own menu. Eating food from the snack bar menu in the restaurant area is not permitted. The restaurant area is, of course, much more stylish and cleaner than the snack bar. There's also an outdoor terrace in the summer. All in all, Bosporus is one of the better addresses in Essen when it comes to Turkish cuisine.

I've visited Bosporus several times now and I'm absolutely thrilled. The starter comes with a delicious salad, bread, and dips. The grilled meat is very high quality. The portions are generous. I'd especially like to mention the waiters. I've rarely been treated so kindly and courteously in a restaurant. Keep it up!!!! I'm very satisfied.

Today, my wife and I entered because it was on the road, we regretted that we entered, we were going to get up, unfortunately they brought the appetizers, we said no cheese pita, no spinach pita, no minced meat pita. Anyway, my wife told us that she came to Adana, there is neither bread nor lavash with it, I asked the waiter for lavash, the answer was that we don't normally serve lavash on the side. We're almost done, this is not the place to go, I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone anyway.

The food is healthy and delicious. Prices are affordable. A friendly and friendly service is offered. I recommend the meat soup (kelle paça) and lamb shish kebab. Unfortunately, the employees seem very listless and not really friendly. We ordered a kebab plate which was a disgrace in terms of price alone (€15.50) and also tasted very bad. We asked several times what meat it was since we don't eat chicken/turkey and were assured that it was veal. When we looked at the meat we immediately realized that it was definitely NOT veal. After asking 3 times they only admitted that it wasn't a veal but a turkey. As a restaurateur, lying to your customers like that is not possible at all! Chicken skewer was also not cooked properly and not tasty at all. If we hadn't been hungry we would have preferred to leave it alone. We will definitely never go here again.

Great food! Çok güzel! Had a lovely dinner here in the restaurant (be sure to enter the right door, or you'll be in the take-out part of this place, there's a more cozy part around the corner). Dinner was very nice. All real and authentic Turkish food. The sigara böreği was excellent and I wish we had more dolma... Next time I'll try the İmam bayıldı. We came in quite late, and were the last to go, but we had a lovely chat with the very friendly staff (in German, English and Turkish). Teşekkür ederim!
