Osteria Stromboli in Baden-Baden

The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, but I'm not giving it 5 stars because they refuse to serve tap water and charge €6.80 for a 0.75-liter bottle. Because of this, we didn't return, even though everything else was very good.

As someone who is very critical when it comes to Italian food, our expectations were more than exceeded. We had two antipasti, six pasta dishes, and a tiramisu, and for us, it was a culinary journey. Every dish was outstanding. Italians would say "ecceionale"! We will gladly return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good taste ;-) Well done, and keep it up! Buon lavoro! P.S. And the service was exemplary.

Today, a group of six friends and I went to Ristorante Stromboli and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and excellent service. Unfortunately, it was very quiet around lunchtime, and apart from our group, there was only one other couple having lunch. This was a bit of a shame, as it felt a little odd. However, we highly recommend it. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist routes, it's a bit of a hidden gem for lunchtime – quiet and relaxed ☺️. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Baden-Baden!

One of the best Italian restaurants in Germany specially the seafood soup, and the seafood spaghetti I recommended

We spontaneously went there for dinner, were alone in the restaurant at 8 pm, the service was good, the food was ok, the prices were a bit excessive.

Two veal medallions as thin as a slice of sausage. Okay, delicious topped with cheese and served with spaghetti. But for around €27, I would have expected at least two medallions, not two wafer-thin slices. The spaghetti frutti de mare was also rather unloving and not typically Italian...

The service was a bit disappointing, as the waiter was not very helpful. Unfortunately, the food did not feel authentically Italian, carrying more of a German influence in taste and style. Additionally, the wineglasses provided were not suitable for enjoying the wine properly. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations for a true Italian restaurant.

The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is very clean. The pasta is delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is pleasant.

A somewhat hidden restaurant with an outdoor space in a converted courtyard/garage. The service is extremely slow, which is a shame for only 10 seats. Decent pizzas, nothing special. Bruschetta is okay.

We were here for dinner on August 11th. The waiters were very friendly and welcoming. We had a table in the courtyard. The pizzas were delicious and plentiful.

Atmosphere garden like setting with nice Italian background music, with parasols, very nice. Food was fantastic, carpaccio was really good, we had some pasta and as desert Tiramisu also very good. Service was good, but if they would take more time to actually talk to the guest or ask how the food is then it would be better!

I had the Piccata Milanese – unfortunately, it was rather disappointing. One sauce was on the meat, another on the spaghetti – without any explanation. The combination seemed immature, and the cheese typical of piccata was completely missing. Although the restaurant was almost empty, we had to wait a long time for our food. The service was friendly, but the overall impression was off. The whole thing was also significantly overpriced for the quality offered. An additional negative: The restroom had an unpleasant smell – something that really shouldn't happen in a restaurant. Overall, a rather disappointing visit – with potential for improvement, but unfortunately, not recommended as it is.

I had the truffle pasta, but unfortunately, it was rather expensive cream pasta. I was there a few years ago, and the food was excellent and the restaurant was run by Italians. Now, the restaurant seems to have Indian owners, but unfortunately, it's not the same as it was a few years ago.

We waited 30 minutes for two pizzas to arrive! Luckily, the server didn't charge us for the coffee.

The food was okay, but the portions were much too small. Only one waiter for the entire restaurant was not enough.

Apparently it used to be an Italian restaurant, now it's an Indian restaurant serving Italian food. The food was average to okay, the service was attentive, but one person couldn't handle so many tables. The waiter didn't appear outside for what felt like 45 minutes. I wouldn't come back.

We celebrated our civil wedding here in an intimate setting with around 20 people – and it was simply perfect! We would especially like to highlight the exceptionally attentive and warm service provided by Mr. Singh, who guided us through the day with such sensitivity. The food was consistently delicious, and all of our guests were thrilled. Thank you so much for this wonderful day – we would love to come back!

Such a cute little spot with delicious food, we had the bruschetta, carpaccio, steak, spaghetti bolognaise and pizza, honestly everything was delicious.. worth the visit! Sit outdoor and make a reservation online to ensure you get a table.

I lived in italy for years. None of the italian-claimed items are genuinely italian, super bad quality and taste. Ordered margherita, pasta alla norma, and ravioli alla ricotta e spinaci. The cheese used especially as the margherita topping is that one that gives yiu suddenly that discomfort in the throat even if you are not allergic. The ravioli wasnt fresh or was cooked from cheap frozen.... The pasta alla norma was bland, super bad actually. It was pasta but not close to any basic/traditional italian item. I can go forever on this....

We ate here several times (dining in and to go) during our stay in Baden Baden. The service was very friendly and a big plus was the accommodation of a picky eater which we were hugely grateful for. We had the truffle pasta with a side of steak and it was excellent. Pizza was great….my boys reported they had the best crust ever. Tiramisu was delicious.

The food here was amazing. I got the vegetable risotto which was delicious. My husband got the Italian pizza, which was also extremely delicious. Our friends got a truffle pizza and bolognese which they loved. The inside was nice. The outdoor terrace looked super cute but we were worried it would rain so we ate inside. The waiters were super nice and very proper. The only thing was the wait for food was kind of prolonged but honestly it was worth the wait.

We simply ordered classical pasta and risotto. They were really good with complex taste. Will come again when visiting Baden Baden next time.

Unfortunately there is no vegetarian pizza on the menu. We then asked and were able to order a Margerita. It was very cool in the restaurant and there was a draft. We both had neck tension during the night and were a bit under the weather afterwards. The pizza was good but not outstanding.

Ich war mit meiner Familie in diesem Lokal wegen den guten Bewertungen. Leider wurden wir sehr enttäuscht. Die Temperatur im Lokal war um die 17°C, von den Toiletten nicjt zu sprechen. Seevice war ok. Fast 1h Wartezeit für 🍕.... die dann mit labbrigem Boden, Industriesalami daherkommt. Das. Restaurant hat wohl kürzlich den Betreiber gewechselt. Eine Pizza musste nicht bezahlt werden. Das war korrekt

Ice cold environment, when we went in februari. Almost nobody was there and it wasn’t cozy at all. Staff was okay. Food was bad. Pizza’s had a bad base. Not a real italian restaurant. Wine selection was very limited.

Excellent dish, really nothing to say about it. On the other hand, horrible service! The wait was super long. A lot of people for 2 servers who don't understand anything...

Nous avions l'habitude d'aller dans ce restaurant quand il y avaient les anciens propriétaires, c'était très bien. Quand nous y sommes retournés l'année dernière, nous avons vu des changements et le serveur nous a confirmé que le restaurant avait changé de propriétaire. Même si c'est devenu pire, nous y sommes allés encore quelques fois de plus en plus déçus et la dernière fois c'était la déception totale, le service et la qualité des repas et de boissons est en chute libre, ce n'est pas de la bière qu'ils servent, mais plutôt de l'eau colorée, l'attente est longue et on ne trouve pas les ingrédients annoncés dans des plats, dans les toilettes ils ne mettent plus de chauffage, il fait très froid, d’ailleurs dans le restaurant il ne fait pas chaud non plus. Restaurant a perdu toute sa qualité. Nous n'avons plus envie d'y retourner.

Wenn ich anfangs, teilweise, sehr begeistert war, so muss ich leider sagen, dass es doch nachgelassen hat. Und dieses in punkto Service und auch teilweise Küche... Vitello tonnato geschmacklich vollkommen in Ordnung, allerdings sollte der zukünftige Gast sich die Sauce sehr gut einteilen. Gnocchi sehr am Getränkeumsatz orientiert, zugegeben charmant ausgedrückt. Zum Service und Ambiente: fasse hier, sehr bewusst die letzten drei Besuche zusammen: das gesamte Restaurant, egal mit welcher Belegung , zu kalt, Dean Martins Weihnachtsalbum, plus die Lautstärke, nicht wirklich immer passend, und das wirklich, inzwischen teilweise verloren gegangene Interesse für den Gast. Hier hat sich,leider, etwas eingeschlichen, was ich so nicht akzeptieren kann. Keine Nachfrage an "ob es geschmeckt hat ", " noch "ob nach der Vorspeise ein zweites Glas Wein gewünscht ist ", etc. Schade, vom ehemaligen Geheimtipp etwas sehr entfernt. Die letzte Hoffnung: der Betreiber liest ,nicht nur diese, Bewertung.

We ordered two main meat dishes and an appetizer of ravioli. The ravioli took 40 minutes to arrive. After sitting for over an hour, I asked the waiter how much longer we’d need to wait for our mains. His response? “A few more minutes.” Yet, even after asking multiple times, we still didn’t receive our food. Waiting over an hour for a main course at a pizza and pasta place is unacceptable. Many other tables were also left waiting far too long for their meals and desserts. If you’re hungry and don’t have 2-3 hours to waste on average “Italian” food, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. This place is not worth the time or frustration.

After an hour and a half of waiting we were told that there was no more lamb fillet, so there was another wait and once the dishes were served, nothing too big of a shame.

Homemade and original Italian cuisine. A feast for the eyes and taste buds.

On a Saturday evening we and two families managed to get a table at short notice. That was really lucky, because otherwise the restaurant was completely booked. The adults and children really enjoyed the food. We ordered pizza and ravioli. The service was attentive and very friendly. We had a lovely time there and it was the perfect end to our visit to the city. Honestly recommended👌🏻

The food was ok (no better), but the pasta with prawns was terrible. Two prawns werecompletely rotten, inedible, spit-outs. The rude Indian waiter was unwiling to make allowances for the spoilt dinner. He finally relented and gave us Euro 1.50 off, what an insult! This food and its owners/staff has absolutely nothing to do with Italian. Avoid at all cost.

Nachdem ich von meinen letzten Besuchen in den letzten 3 Monaten hier auf Grund der Speisen nicht sonderlich zufrieden war (zu kleine Portionen / nicht die Qualität von früher erreicht / etc) war ich heute mal wieder dort und doch wieder angenehm "überrascht": Weißwein richtige Temperatur, Branzino gute Größe, gut gewürzt, Beilagen vollkommen in Ordnung und ausreichend und ganz wichtig: alles war heiß!!! Werde es wieder verstärkt im Auge behalten. Alles in allem: en netter Abend. Vielen Dank.

Food was okay. We ordered bruschette and it was served with arugula, not basil. The bread was barely toasted and had no garlic. No olive oil was offered. The ravioli with ricotta was really good. The branzino had a too sweet sauce, like honey maybe. It would have been so much better with just olive oil as the fish, itself, was good. The sorbetto dessert was served with alcohol, not sure why. Service was good and attentive. Music needs to be brought to the 21st century.

Kein empfehlenswertes Restaurant… Warum: Wein Lugana 44€ nicht angemessen und dafür auch nicht geschmackvoll, Essen… altes Baguette aufgetostet🫢, Vorspeise bruschetta und Tomate Buffalo nicht überzeugend lecker , Spaghetti Trüffel… sehr sehr kleine Portion…. Weiblich mit normalen Appetit… 22€ , tagliatelle salmon sehr ohne Geschmack….

Best Italian Vegetarian Pizza, Pasta , Ravioli, Truffle pasta. In my reviews I have always stated on all my restaurant reviews being a vegetarian I have limitations to selection of food and restaurants. Therefore taste wise and quality wise this was the best. Restaurant is at a cozy place so good place for wine and dine.

Pretty good Italian restaurant. We got some pasta and pizzas. Overall pretty good, really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is pretty good, inside the restaurant is very comfortable. We had a small issue, that a copule next to us also had... Since we ordered a spaghetti Fruti di Mare, the smell attracted some flies. We moved inside to solve the issue. Don't get me wrong, the taste and smell was excellent, but it was a small issue that might annoy some. Probably a fluorescent lamp next to the outdoor area might help with this minor issue. Overall it was a very nice place, with good food and well priced for the area.

Les commentaires sur ce lieu sur TripAdvisor m'a fait choisir cet endroit. La terrasse s'avère être un garage pour voiture repeint, et l'ambiance est donc plutôt minime. La nappe est dressée à l'envers et les serviettes pas propres. La pizza est quelconque et les pâtes sans intérêt. Il doit y avoir bien mieux à Baden-Baden

Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht, wie bekamen den letzten Tisch. Die Pizza „Italia“ mit Tomaten, Rucola, Mozzarella, Käse und Bresola hatte einen guten Geschmack und war leicht knusprig (17,50 €). Der Service war sehr freundlich, allerdings war sehr kalt im Restaurant, da nicht geheizt wurde. Wir legten uns die Mäntel über.

Pizza is okay. Ambience is nice. Service is friendly.

You can eat inside, but also outside. The food is tasty, price/quality is ok. With drinks between 30 and 40 euros. The restaurant is located in a side street in the center of Baden-Baden.

Wir waren um 20:00 spontan dort und saßen draußen in dem kleinen Hinterhof, der sehr lauschig und gemütlich war. Wir hatten eine köstliche Pizza, Vorspeisen und Spaghetti Bolognese, alles tadellos. Der offene Primitivo war auch sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war fix und sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Lokal liegt etwas versteckt in einer Seitenstraße, aber den Schlenker sollte man machen. Es lohnt sich.

Visited this restaurant for dinner on a quiet Sunday night. The ambiance was charming and pleasant, but the service didn't quite measure up to the same standard; it lacked professionalism. Regarding the food, the Minestrone Di Verdure tasted homemade but was bland, making it more of a nutritional choice than an enjoyable one. The pizza had flavorful toppings, though I wasn't impressed with the dough. The bucatini alla norma (eggplant pasta) was good but not outstanding. I was also surprised that there was no olive oil and balsamic vinegar provided, which is unusual for an Italian restaurant. I had to request them after receiving the table bread (which was very flat and dry). Overall, considering the reasonable prices and the okay quality of the food, this place is a good option if you're not particularly fussy about Italian cuisine.

The taste is very perfect, the sandwich is filling and the pizza is very delicious.

Ambience quite nice. Waiter very friendly. Food good, but pizza not a revelation, especially for €15. What made me a little angry was the Aperol Spritz for just under €8 served in a 0.2 or 0.3 glass with a pile of ice. That is not how it works. I'm sorry.

Food is ok for the price, But, tried to add non existing items to the bill. Brought card machine over without an itemised bill. First time I’ve seen that in a restaurant. When I asked for an itemised bill “wifi issue”. Went to till and they had added exactly 10 euros for “water”….. never experienced such blatant behaviour. So don’t go there, and if you do check your bill. Should be a 1 rating but given 2 as may have been just one rogue staff member!

Went to this place for a family dinner with kids to get some simple pasta and pizza based on their high rating. We had the most appalling experience. Ordered a simple pizza and pasta dish and after about a 50 minute wait and observing other guests complaining went to see the waiter who said they needed another 5 minutes. I asked to cancel the order and offered to pay for the water and bitter lemon soda (about EUR 11). Any normal place would have apologized and at least offered drinks for free - not these guys. Zero customer service and professionalism (maybe the food is great though if you have infinite time and patience to put up with this mistreatment).

This restaurant has the best pasta! We had the truffle pasta and it was delicious! We came back the next day to have the truffle risotto and the shrimp pasta and it was delicious as well! Food is 10/10, the service is nice and promp and they have a nice garden for when the weather is nice!

Good 3 stars, but nothing more. For me, the atmosphere has no thread, i.e. things were simply put together without any plan or style. (Old and messed up) The portions are relatively small. After one pizza I still wasn't full. The taste wasn't as good as others either. I wouldn't recommend this to my best friends. For the portion it was technically ok price/performance. As described at the beginning, I can give a good 3 stars but no more.

Great service in this small friendly little Italian restaurant with its crisp white laid tables. Traditional Italian menu with plenty of pizza and pasta options. We went for pizzas and enjoyed, traditional thin bases with their lovely fresh topping options including some unusual ones like bresaola. Would happily eat here again.
