Osteria Ribaltone in Berlin

Das Essen war eine Katastrophe! Wir waren am 2. November zu viert in der Osteria Ribaltone und keine der vier servierten Hauptspeisen war das Geld wert. Die Überheblichkeit und Unprofessionalität der Kellner passte zur miserablen Qualität. Allenfalls ein Getränk im Außenbereich würde ich hier noch bestellen.

An authentic Italian in the heart of Berlin. The service was outstanding. Great recommendation regarding wine. Priced in the middle segment. That was worth every euro! Reservation in advance is recommended.

Didn't reserve. The place was full. The boss had a table lined up for the four of us... and five minutes later the time had come. If you want to look quietly into the eyes of your loved one, you should go somewhere else. Life is pulsating here, you wonder how the team manages to transport so many good dishes safely to the cramped tables and so many drinks to the place without spilling. And top quality served in cheerful serenity, happy faces at the tables. Nothing more is needed...

The waiters here are super nice. The food so good. Truffle pasta here is bomboclat. Highly recommended!!

Excelente restaurante italiano situado en un frondoso sector de Berlín. Todos los camareros y chef Marco eran absolutamente encantador y acomodado para mi lacj de alemán. Cada plato, fue descrito en detalle en perfecto inglés! La comida, el ambiente y el servicio era excepcional. Muy recomendable .

One of the best Italian restaurants we've ever been to! The food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. What we liked best was the homely and friendly atmosphere. You feel like you are in Italy for a moment. Definitely a clear recommendation! Be sure to try the house tiramisu, which is served in an espresso pot.

I recently had the opportunity to eat at an Italian restaurant and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The Italian cuisine was really tasty and the food came surprisingly quickly, which is always a plus. The first waiter and the older one were super nice and open-minded. Despite the location being fully booked, he managed to organize a spot for us, which I really appreciated. The food was delicious, although I would have liked the bolognese with more sauce. However, it is also completely okay to serve it differently - after all, tastes are different. A small drawback was the waiting time for our espresso. Despite asking various waiters several times, we had to wait for almost 20 minutes, while the main course was served after only about 5 minutes. This was a bit annoying, but not enough to spoil the overall impression. I would definitely come back and recommend the restaurant!

Authentic, warm and lively. Happy place in a beautiful location with a very good day menu. The pasta dishes have a soul food character, whether truffle pasta, cacio e pepe or, in winter, pizzoccheri.

Food was solid (vitello, lamb ragú). Bread was dry. Personally, I think there are better spots for the prices.

four out of four people at the dinner party described this as the worst service and dining experience they ever had. after we had to help the staff make room for the mains they brought while we were having firsts, I had to argue with the waiter to put our deserts somewhere else when he showed up with them while I was chewing on my main. We ended up getting kicked out of the terrace into the small and smelly inside. We asked our deserts to go so we can get out of there and they packed them but didnt have any spoons for us. food was below average and pricy. the nearby square is lovely but do yourself a favor and pack a picnic and stay away from this place

Best Italian in Berlin! The food is super tasty and very nice service!

Unfortunately overrated. Pasta with mussels was too salty and the cutlery wasn't clean. In addition, the staff is extremely loud and chaotic - not a relaxed atmosphere. Because we came spontaneously at 5:30 p.m. and didn't have a reservation, we were seated at a cat table on the pedestrian path in the middle of the sun, while the rest of the tables were empty until we left. Ridiculous and unprofessional store. There are much better Italians in Berlin.

First of all, it's always sad to write a 1 star review, but unfortunately it was definitely appropriate here. Unfortunately the food was catastrophic accompanied by angry screaming waiters - not all but many. One person in particular - rather short with glasses and a beard - only swore in Italian yesterday. Extremely unpleasant. The lasagne was cold and tasted thawed. Zero taste! Maybe we had a bad day but this was the worst Italian restaurant we have ever been to

The best truffle pasta is here!! Great service and great food

Unfriendly and intrusive service. We had the impression that they wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible after dinner. Had a reservation and got a cat table on the pedestrian walkway. It was in no way comfortable or hospitable. We won't go there again and it's not recommended.

Hello. I have to share my opinion about the service in the restaurant. Unfortunately, I felt that foreigners were not welcome. the waiter ignored my request for a table and gladly accepted the German guests, ignoring my request. Unfortunately, I don't know if it was due to not knowing a foreign language or simple reluctance because the waiter didn't want to continue the conversation. As for the food, unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to try it, which is a pity. I don't recommend it.

Terrible! I was there with three other people. As we were waiting for our food, one of the waiters started an argument with a customer. The waiter was screaming like a 3 year old child. After about 10 to 15 minutes we all got our food. We were satisfied with the taste of the dishes but not with the price. When I wanted to order creme brulee for dessert, I first made sure that the creme brulee was flambéed. The waiter said yes. When I got a non-flambéed crème brulee for over €10 I was outraged! When I pointed this out to the waiter, he didn't want to admit it, but he just argued with a loudly raised voice and uncomfortable physical proximity.

Reserved 3 weeks ago.. ended up being offered a place without a roof when it rained. Seriously? How are you supposed to eat there when it's raining heavily? When it rains, you move the table completely away, which is an impertinence. Then make ironic-sarcastic comments, impudence! Too bad we will never try the food here due to this unreasonable experience.

Nachdem ich nehrfach die Erfahrung von Unfreundlichkeit gemacht habe, möchte ich eine kurze Stellungnahme über den heutigen Besuch abgeben: das Essen war wie immer okay. Der Service wird zunehmend schlechter. Speziell einer der Kellner überschlägt sich mit seiner Arroganz. Nachdem ich fünf mal nach der Rechnung gefragt habe, erhielt ich folgenden Kommentar: Du bist hier nicht der einzige Gast. Ich bin nicht dein Sklave. Du musst ja nicht wiederkommen. Das werde ich wohl auch nicht machen.

The service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty. The only point of criticism is the portion sizes. If you are very hungry, you will have to order an appetizer. All in all, recommended.

There's not much to say about this restaurant. Definitely a pearl in the jungle restaurant in the big city. Authentic restaurant with excellent food and a special flair.

Servers are trash. Food, half of menu not there. Cash only. No English menu either. Apperently the whole restaurant is reserved, shoved us on a tiny table, while 6 or 7 empty tables. One of the waiters was high as a kite. Never again. P.S. Burrata was good.

Very tasty food, a bit rough but good service, very tasty food. I also think the ambience is great, both outside and inside.

Despite the high occupancy, the staff were always very friendly and helpful, and the starters and main courses were really excellent. The actual map is very “clear”, but there is a day menu that was presented to us by the service. Very good wine selection, but the open wines are very expensive. The prices for the food reflect the high quality and are quite reasonable. You sit outside with a side view of Viktoria-Luise-Platz, but the tables are very “comfortably” close to each other. The interior is rather rustic and has no ventilation (which is immediately noticeable given the number of guests, as is the high volume).

Unfortunately, one of the side potatoes with the liver was spoiled, which diminished the overall enjoyment. The service could have been more attentive when clearing up. The pasta dishes were very good and we would like to come back. The landlord is extremely attentive and you sit very comfortably.

The reservation was not taken into account and we were turned away very unfriendly.

No question, the food is really good and the waiters are attentive and gesture in Italian, explaining in detail the dishes that are not on the menu. But the acoustics in the room are catastrophic: it's loud when it's full and (perhaps?) it's getting louder and louder. I would be happy to visit Osteria Ribalrone again - if I can get a seat outside!

Der Laden ist immer ausreserviert. Wer spontan einen Platz möchte, muss dem Chef bekannt sein oder nach viel Geld aussehen. Familien mit kleinen Kindern haben da eher schlechte Karten. Wer vorab reserviert oder Glück hat, bekommt ein winziges Tischchen mit viel Kontakt zum Nebentisch oder zu den Leuten, die ganz normal den Bürgersteig nutzen. Beim Empfang bekommt man eine völlig nutzlose Speisekarte in die Hand gedrückt. Wenn man was daraus bestellen möchte, dann erfährt man, dass der Pizzaofen kaputt oder diese und jene Zutat gerade aus ist. Stattdessen rattert der Chef seine Empfehlungen runter, die man bitte bestellen möge, wenn man sich denn die über 10 Gerichte merken kann, die er im Gespräch mit seinen Mitarbeitern nebenbei genuschelt hat. Die Empfehlungen liegen - keine Überraschung - preislich deutlich über dem, was auf der Karte steht. Tja, der alte Trick funktioniert immer noch! Das Essen ist dann wirklich gut, der Wein auch! Es wird nur Bargeld akzeptiert! Das gibt es im Jahr 2024 auch immer noch!

The restaurant is quietly located in a square. When the weather is nice you can sit outside on the terrace. The staff is very friendly, quick and helpful. The food was very tasty. Price/performance is ok. In my opinion, the products on offer are always at the upper price limit for what is on offer. A glass of wine (0.2) costs 10€. This seems to be (almost) normal today. However, I find it a bit too expensive. As an appetizer you get bread and olives and at the end you get a nightcap from the house. That is very nice. All in all, it's a very nice restaurant with friendly service and good Italian food in the middle of Berlin. Is definitely recommended.

My shop in Berlin! Great ambience, attentive and warm service, very good cuisine and excellent wines. A little hidden, next to a bakery, opposite a small park and in the middle of a residential area, you feel like you're in Italy for a few hours...

Reservation is recommended! Very nice restaurant to sit outside. Staff is very attentive. Lots of daily specials. Authentic cuisine, although the vongole were unfortunately far too spicy. Unfortunately, desserts (ice cream and tartufo) were not homemade. We'd love to come back!

Endlich mal einen Platz bekommen in der Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Schöne Räder an den Decken, alles wie im Museum. Nur lauter. Halt wie in Italien. Zu essen gab's Burrata fritta und Carpacciociprian als Vorspeise. Sehr lecker, sehr gut, sehr schmackhaft. Als Secondi hatten wir Lammrücken mit Trüffel und Coda di Rospo. Frisch auf den Tisch, gerade der richtige Grad. Zu empfehlen. Eine Flasche Zapel dazu und fertig ist der schöne Abend mittendrin. Der Chef ist aufmerksam, erklärt hier und da, die Serviceleute sind auf Zack. Zwei Espressi runden den Abend ab. Danke und wir kommen wieder.

Been here quite often but the service keeps getting worse. I tipped 5 euros but didn't get a thank you. The waiter even deliberately returned a lot of coins (50 cents several times). Good food but unfortunately never again

Die Osteria Ribaltone ist eine herrliche italienische Osteria - wunderbar vollgestellt mit Motorsport-Devotionalien bis hin zu einer alten Moto Guzzi und sonstigem Krimskrams. Man sitzt hier wie in einer typischen italienischen Trattoria eng auf eng, das Lokal ist sehr beliebt und wenn man einen Besuch plant ist eine Reservierung dringend angeraten. Auf der Speisekarte stehen norditalienische Spezialitäten sowie diverse Tagesangebote, die vom Service am Tisch vorgestellt werden. Es gibt auch einen gute Auswahl an italienischen Weinen. Der Service ist freundlich und herrlich hemdsärmelig.

Food was good, but unfortunately the olives were too salty. The bread wasn't brought to us until we had already had our food?! I ordered a wine, then got 0.2l and asked the young female waitress who only speaks English if it was 0.1l and she said “yes”… but in the end they still charged 0.2l. If you have no idea about your job then you shouldn't waitress!

However, it is quite tight and cozy. If we wanted to leave our table, the guests at the next table also had to get up to let us out. All in all, a great evening. We'd love to come back. The best Italian restaurant in town! A little too small, a little too narrow, a little too hectic - it's just the best Italian restaurant in town! Anyone looking for a romantic candlelight dinner probably won't be happy here, but anyone who likes Italian cuisine should reserve a table here.

We were here a few days ago. Unfortunately, the tables were very close together and therefore extremely full. We found the service to be quite stressful and were even moved several times. Seemed unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing either, but tastes differ. Unfortunately only 2 out of 5 stars.

Really nice Italian restaurant with fantastic dishes (only the lasagne is always a little salty), which are always on the table relatively quickly. You definitely need to make a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside.

Best italian place i know in Berlin.

We ate here with several people. From the outside, the restaurant looks like a cheap pub and even has the “corona curtain” with a mask requirement symbol on it. Not very inviting. Inside, you'll find a very small restaurant filled with chairs and tables, even though there's obviously not enough space. In addition, old bicycles, motorcycles with an Italian connection, but also all sorts of other junk hang randomly on the walls. It seems very conceptless and not nicely decorated, more like a general store. In any case, there was hardly any space at the table, everything was narrow and uncomfortable. Every trip to the toilet, which was also very narrow and dirty, should be carefully considered. The ordering process was very unprofessional - none of the guests at our table were given a card, only a "special card" was read out in broken German. It was not communicated beforehand that this was the only way to choose a dish. After all, I didn't want a "special dish". I've never experienced anything like that in a restaurant. I neither had a dish in mind nor were prices communicated or presented in any way (regardless of whether the host pays or not). As a guest, I want to know what I'm getting - and understandably so. Luckily, during my previous research I came across an old menu with hefty prices. However, these will now be even higher. The food, pasta, was basically okay, but at €17(+) it was pretty steep. However, due to the unprofessionalism and overall impression of this place, the price of the food is not right considering the circumstances. In other stores I get a decent ambience and no stadium atmosphere due to the noise of other guests. Overall, I found the evening very tiring and would definitely not eat here again. For me, eating out has to create a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. At the same time, a card in the customer's hand is mandatory and customary.

A taste sensation! The restaurant uses every inch for a table and chairs and seems to be very popular. It is recommended to make a reservation at least 1 week in advance so that you can get a table here. The service is fantastic. You can only find a fraction of the dishes on the menu. The dishes here change regularly and a waiter presents them in a very pleasant manner. I prefer it to be a little quieter, so there is a slight deduction in the ambience. In general, the restaurant is worth a visit.

Best Italian restaurant in Berlin

Berliner Preise, aber die Bedienung war freundlich und das Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Die Atmosphäre war entspannt und das Restaurant ist gut gelegen direkt gegenüber der U-Bahn Station.

Mega. Der beste Italiener in Berlin. Marco und sein Team liefern topp Qualität und super-freundlichen Service. Wir kommen immer gerne hierher.

Seit Jahrzehnten mein absoluter Lieblingsitaliener - trotz der gehobenen Preise wird immer gute bis sehr gute Qualität geboten! Direkt am Victoria-Luise-Platz gelegen, überwiegend Stammpublikum, im Sommer gibt's Terrassenplätze, in der kalten Jahreszeit ist's drinnen eng aber gemütlich, dazu liebevoll dekoriert. Fühle mich immer sehr wohl dort. Reservierung dringend empfohlen, auch an Wochentagen!

Also ein klares ja schon…..aaaaber: Der Chef ist soooo unfreundlich! Er rasselt die Gerichte des Tages so unglaublich lustlos und unfreundlich herunter, dass man weder mitkommt noch eines auswählen kann. Wenn man dann noch kurz überlegt oder nachfragt, bekommt man nochmals aber äußerst ungeduldig die Gerichte wiederholt oder kurz erklärt. Ok wenn diese Hürde genommen ist, ist das liebe und fröhlich freundliche Personal eine Wohltat. DANKE! Die Portionen sind darauf ausgerichtet, dass man wirklich Vor,- Haupt- und Nachspeise essen muss um satt zu werden. Die Qualität ist sehr gut!

Wir waren hier lecker als Familie essen und haben uns durch einige Sachen durchprobiert. Die Vorspeise mit dem Ziegemkäse war hervorragend. An Hauptspeisen haben uns am besten die Pfifferling Pasta und die Pasta mit den Muscheln geschmeckt! Das Ambiente und Personal waren wirklich toll und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder :) Es gibt auch einige Vegane/Vegetarische Gerichte zu Verfügung!
