Osteria No. 8 in Scheidegg

Wir waren als Familie in diesem Restaurant essen. Leider bietet das Restaurant keine Kindermenüs oder -gerichte an. Wir bestellten à la carte und baten um kleine Portionen, die mit 10 und 11 Euro berechnet wurden – fast genauso viel wie die regulären à-la-carte-Preise. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Wir hatten bereits vier Getränke bestellt und um eine Karaffe Leitungswasser gebeten, was uns verweigert wurde. Stattdessen bot man uns Wasser in Flaschen an (gegen Aufpreis). Es ist wohl ein kultureller Unterschied, aber bei einer Rechnung von fast 60 Euro verstehe ich nicht, warum man uns ein kostenloses Glas Wasser verweigert hat.

Ruhig, gelassen. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt👌

Essen bekommt 10 von 10. Der eine Kellner war auf Zack und der andere naja weng überfordert und unfreundlich.

Sehr freundliche Damen, ausgezeichnete Torten, schnuggelige Tassen/ Kaffeeservice mit leckerem Cappuccino!! Kommen gerne wieder !!!

Sehr leckere Pizza, auch der Aperol war großartig – und zwar in ordentlicher Größe, nicht nur eine Mini-Ausgabe – dazu noch freundlicher Service. Ich kann es empfehlen.

Spontan oigekehrt un ä echt leggeri Pizza gesse. Guter Service, freundlich, nett. Hab zwar die falsch Pizza griggt, awwer des kann halt emol bassiere. Ich hätt uhne zu zögern moi bestellte griggt, des wollt ich awwer net, weil's Worscht is. Ich det werre kumme, bin halt nie dort. Ambiente is na ja, mir saßen Mitte im Raum, do bin ich kän Fan vun. Awwer ok, ach des kummt vor, kä Thäma!

Zum Glück ist das Essen der Eindruck der bleibt. Und am Ende fand sich doch noch eine engagierte Frau die bemüht war die Fehler der anderen auszumerzen.

Außerordentlich leckere Pizza, dazu werden zwei Sorten Olivenöl gereicht.

Ich war mit meiner Familie beim Mittagessen hier. Wir hatten 1x Salat mit Hähnchenstreifen, Bruschetta und 3 verschiedene Pizzen. Das Essen hat uns allen super geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und Getränke und Essen kamen schnell.

Wir waren am nächsten Tag gleich nochmal dort.

Die Terrasse ist hübsch gestaltet, aber aufgrund der Lage und des Verkehrs etwas laut. Für Kaffee und Kuchen ist die Auswahl sehr begrenzt, daher ist es nicht der ideale Ort.

Wirklich sehr leckere Gerichte, ob Pasta oder Pizza, nur das Timing könnte besser sein, Nicht alle am Tisch bekommen ihr Essen gleichzeitig, gemeinsam Essen fast unmöglich.

Geschmacklich sehr gut bei schönem Ambiente. Beim Essen sollte man sich jedoch auf längere Wartezeiten einstellen und bei uns kam das Essen nicht zusammen, so dass teilweise getrennt gegessen wurde.

Sehr leckere Pizza. Wir haben zum abholen bestellt, alles ohne Probleme und auch recht schnell fertig.

Ein kurzer Familienausflug. Wir haben hervorragend gegessen, das Personal war trotz der Sprachbarriere sehr freundlich und wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Die Gerichte waren ansprechend angerichtet und köstlich. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Die Lasagne Bolognese mit Spinat und Feta war köstlich!!!

Tolles Essen. Sehr reichlich und vor allem kurze Wartezeit. Was man oft nicht hat aber das Essen war so heiß das man kurz warten musste um anfangen zu können zu essen. Geschmacklich sehr gut gewürzt. Anneta unsere Bedienung war super nett und hatte immer einen kessen Spruch parat. Wir kommen definitiv im Sommer wieder. Danke.

Super leckere Pizza die super groß ist und heiß. Meine Frau hatte Pasta und die war auch sehr gut. Der Service ist mit Herz dabei.

We only ordered pizza by phone and picked it up. Unfortunately, they forgot about us and we had to wait. Nevertheless, the pizzas were good.

A cozy Italian restaurant. Beautiful interior, pleasant atmosphere. The service is very good, the staff is attentive, and we didn't have to wait for someone to come to us. The food arrived very quickly. We had schnitzel with fries, pasta Bolognese, and pizza. Everything was fresh and delicious. The portions are large.

We came here for dinner with the kids during the week. The pizza and salads were delicious. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. We only deducted one star because we had to wait a long time for our food; other guests arrived after us and had their food before us.

The food was delicious, but the salad, well, they could have done without it; it wasn't that great, unfortunately, it looked like it came out of a packet. The service was super friendly, but, dear Osteria, you really need to work on a proper structure; such chaos doesn't go down well. Still, very friendly, and the pizza was great, so 5 stars❤️

The pizza was very good, but the vegetable salad had too much vinegar for my taste.

We haven't laughed as much as we did that evening in a long time; at times, we felt like extras in a Dadaist play. Waiters wandering around empty-handed, diners who come or don't, disgruntled couples where only one of them ever gets a meal, a pizza maker who disappears every five minutes. The food, unfortunately, isn't even worth mentioning: salad from a packet, the dressing consisting only of (a lot of) cheap balsamic vinegar. The antipasti platter was forgettable. The guests exchanged desperate, amused, and stunned glances: bound together by fate for having turned into the wrong restaurant. When we got back to the street, we had to laugh heartily. Anyone without a good sense of gallows humor should find something else right away.

My wife and I had a very entertaining evening. The pizzas weren't bad in terms of taste and are definitely worth recommending. However, we did have to wait a long time. The servers often had to take a break and watch the guests wait. It wasn't uncommon for guests to help themselves to menus or cutlery—but even then, no one came to take their orders for a very long time.

The salad was okay, and the pizza tasted really good. The garden was very nice with a fountain. However: The waiter didn't actively ask for drinks, the cutlery wasn't there, the desired topping wasn't available, and the pizza took over an hour to arrive.

My husband and I had pasta (me) and pizza (his) and pre-ordered an Insalata Delicata (a salad with goat cheese, walnuts, and raspberry sauce). The salad was okay, but quite bland. My pasta (tagliatelle with salmon and spinach was delicious, by the way) arrived quickly, but the pizza (salami, apparently also good) unfortunately only arrived after I had already finished my meal, after I had asked for it. And without an apology. Eating out is no fun when everyone has to watch everyone else eat.

We sat in the shade on a wonderful Saturday afternoon, the wheat beer was delicious... But then the food arrived. The schnitzel and fries were quite okay, the rest a culinary guessing game: The antipasti were completely missing the essential ingredients listed on the menu and otherwise resembled Lidl leftovers from the fridge. The Amatriciana was a clear case for please google it again. Dressing or oil and vinegar for the salads from the menu? Not available – only upon request. The service was friendly but disorientated. Our order was mixed up, and when we asked for further information, there was a slight sense of panic. How this restaurant has four and a half stars remains a mystery. Perhaps there used to be a real Italian in the kitchen. Today, they apparently thrive on the charm of the fountain and the hope that guests will have no equal in the area. Absolutely not recommended as of July 2025.

Pizzas were delicious. The waiter looked kind of bothered when we asked for a table and he had to clean one but ended up being friendly while serving us.

We stopped there on a recommendation. I have to say we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our time there. A wonderful end to a day of vacation. The worst dinner of my life. Starting with the pizza which was disgusting in which there was only the taste of garlic. Salmon with inedible orange sauce Waiters who were not even in a hurry to serve tables, were relaxing on the highway with a cigarette The terrace itself is located right next to the road where many cars pass and the noise is terrible And we also paid 70 euros for everything

Highly recommended. Super delicious food. Large portions, very large pizza, and free delicious bread before your meal.

The service was very unfriendly. We later learned that the manager had served us himself. We waited over 10 minutes for our drinks. The food arrived after about 50 minutes. After we inquired about it 30 minutes after ordering, we were told the food was already cooking. We won't be eating here again. With so little business and only three people serving, you'd expect more.

Pizza tastes good, service is bad

I can only confirm the reviews from the last few weeks! I was there with my sister; she ordered pasta and I ordered a calzone. After a 30-minute wait (totally fine), my sister got her food and I was told that the pizza chef wasn't available and asked if I wanted to order something else. When I asked why they hadn't asked me directly, I didn't get a reasonable answer. So I left without my food, which was really great. The third waiter even asked if everything was okay, which was very funny. "The pizza chef will hear from me right away," was his exact words. I have a written recommendation: quit. Once and never again!

Bad service, way too long a wait for pizza... and then a lot of other things went wrong...

I don't understand the good reviews. If you like being served by four different waiters who mix up orders, are happy to wait an hour for a simple pizza, and don't care about eating together, this is the place for you. The drinks came together, and everyone ate one after the other. The pasta arrived very quickly, so one of us could eat while the others watched. The first pizza arrived after an hour, which is completely incomprehensible for such a "simple" dish. Pizza two also arrived at some point, but it was the wrong one. And instead of making it again and correctly, the missing ingredients were simply slapped on and the pizza was quickly put back in the oven. As a result, the edges were beautifully black. I don't know if only one pizza fits in the oven, but I would have liked to eat with my guests and not one after the other. I would have also liked to have ONE server, so I always had ONE contact person. And if I ordered something, I would have liked to have that, not something that had been corrected. Something needs to change here as soon as possible regarding the service and operation. The only thing that's nice is the ambiance.

Unfortunately, we had to wait two hours for our pizza. On top of that, my pizza was very burnt, and after reporting it, the only response we received was that "they would inform the pizza chef," without any apologies. The same thing happened at neighboring tables: missing pizzas, long waits, and a lack of friendliness. The waiters also had a strong odor. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

Probably the worst service I've ever experienced: unmotivated, incompetent waitstaff who would rather smoke than take customers' orders. Rude to boot, loudly insulting them and other customers while they sat next to the customers, yet still not getting an inch of work done. I hope management replaces these young men as soon as possible to avoid further negative customer reviews, because it's not the food or the ambiance that's bad, which is very good. But service and customer interaction are the be-all and end-all in the restaurant business. I hope my review is read and management takes action to save the restaurant from going under.

We were there a year ago and really enjoyed it. This year we went back and were pretty annoyed. First we waited half an hour for drinks and then another whole hour for the pizza. When we asked why it was taking so long, we were told that the pizza maker wasn't in the mood that day. Three pizzas arrived at the same time, and we had to wait again for the fourth. With two small children, the visit was doubly frustrating, as they were hungry.

A good restaurant stands or falls with its service, and unfortunately, that's not the case here. Right at the beginning of our stay, we saw the waiters wandering around the terrace several times, disoriented, carrying various dishes. I'm not sure if they ever read the menu themselves; they can only work with the numbers of the dishes. The salad was dry, possibly having been sitting for a long time. For the rest, we had two pasta dishes, bruschetta, and a pizza. The food tasted good. Unfortunately, the pizza didn't arrive until about 20 minutes after the pasta dishes, and after we had asked for it. At one point, we had to move from outside to inside because a storm was coming, which must have disrupted everything. All in all, unfortunately, not a pleasant restaurant visit...

We ordered our food from the manager himself at the table at 6 p.m. After waiting for 1:30 hours, the manager came and asked us what we were having. After waiting for 15 minutes, nothing had arrived, so I asked if they had any pizza for us... their eyes widened and nothing was ordered, and then the serious question came: Would you like anything else? We were there with two small children, and luckily they held out that long... There wasn't even an apology other than such a stupid question. We've seen problems like this from many guests! The pizza was good, but everything else was so bad that even the pizza couldn't save it, and as I said, we weren't the only one. Then the bill came, and it also showed one drink too many... so all in all, an absolute disaster. We weren't even asked if we wanted anything else in the 1:45 hours. I've never experienced anything like this before...

Subterranean. One star is still too many. We were there today. There were two of us adults. Drinks arrived quite quickly. Then the order, actually quite simple. One "Insalata Delicata" and two pizzas of Prosciutto Funghi. The salad for 10.20 was actually a joke. The cheapest, dry salad. You'd have thought it came straight from the bag at the discount store. The raspberry sauce was more like a tasteless red mush – it had very little to do with raspberry. There was no other dressing. The pizza was quite small. There was no cheese at all, but you could guess the flavor. In general, it was more like a tarte flambée. Selling something like that to a paying customer as a "pizza" borders on impudence. The fact that the pizza was cold is just a side note. The second "pizza" for my wife didn't arrive at all, despite asking. Furthermore, I had the feeling that the two male waitresses were completely overwhelmed. The icing on the cake when paying was the question of whether we still wanted to pay for the second pizza we didn't get. No apology or sorry, nothing. I can understand that a job in the restaurant industry is demanding, but this is simply unacceptable. The neighboring tables were also missing food or were served something they hadn't ordered. Pure chaos, almost funny. The woman at the next table had ordered a Hawaiian pizza for her son. It arrived without pineapple pieces (actually the most important thing in a Hawaiian pizza). When she complained, they simply slapped pineapple on the pizza without putting it back in the oven. A few times we thought we were on "Candid Camera." Everything was a complete mess. For us, it was our first and last visit. Never again.

Unfortunately, this was the worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time. The pizza was burnt and the toppings listed were missing. My complaint was met with the comment that even a new pizza wouldn't improve the result, as the pizza chef was new. I tried it anyway, and the second pizza was also burnt, but it had all the toppings. Of course, my husband and I couldn't eat it at the same time. The manager bought us drinks as an apology, but I still went home hungry.

After 1:20 neither the starter nor the main course arrived.

Our order was forgotten, and we waited almost 1.5 hours for the main course. When the food finally arrived, some of the pizza toppings were forgotten. Some of the food was inedible, as the pizza bread was burnt on both sides and the cucumbers from the salad were stale. We didn't get any cutlery either, and we asked for it several times before we finally got it. Luckily, the drinks arrived relatively quickly. In the end, I complained to the manager. He apologized and removed the unenjoyable food from the bill. I can't really recommend this pizzeria. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it very much.

Only 2 of the 3 ordered dishes arrived. Penne a la panna turned into spaghetti carbonara. From entering the restaurant to being seated, it took a good 15 minutes. A total of 1.5 hours until the food arrived. Which would have been understandable given the full house. The waitress was always attentive when she did come by. In fairness: what arrived at the table was good, even though unfortunately only one of the dishes was ordered. There's still a lot of room for improvement... Good pizza from the wood-fired oven. It was delicious.

The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere in the garden was very nice (the fountain could be cleaned), the toilet is clean, unfortunately the waiting time from the time the food was picked up to the time it was delivered was over 1 hour, which is not acceptable with small children. Unfortunately, the pizzas weren't very tasty either, seasoned way too hot (too much garlic).

The worst meal we have ever been served. Regardless of the abysmally poor cleanliness, the Mediterranean cuisine leaves something to be desired. Cold plates next to lukewarm dishes caused us to end a lovely evening prematurely. Please don't order wine! Too expensive for the wholesale offer…

We were happy with the food (pizza, pasta, risotto), but unfortunately the lasagne was anything but good. Unfortunately, we waited over 1.5 hours before we even got the starter after asking several times. And then another very long time until we got the main course after almost 2 hours. Unfortunately, that really doesn't work at all. On the way out we met guests who had been waiting for their reserved table for over an hour.

It's easy to go there. Had pizza, crispy good. What was great was that there was chili and garlic oil with it.

The food is average to below average for an Italian restaurant. The ambience is also not a reason to visit the restaurant again.

We went there for Helloween dinner, but only because Gran Sasso was closed, and the theme of the meal was probably spooky. We didn't like it, but hunger drove us in, as the saying goes. Very disappointing. The olive oil was so bitter/hot that it masked all the other flavors. The boss, I assume it was him, was always standing there at the front and we thought he had been waiting forever for pizza to be picked up. Much later he came and asked if we wanted anything else, but at that point we didn't anymore, and the gentleman smelled so strongly of cigarettes that we lost our appetite. The ambience was very nice and pleasantly heated, but we won't be coming back.

We went here again to eat. Everyone enjoyed it. We had a small dog with us who was immediately given water. Appetizers, pizza and fish were ordered. We were served very well. We'd love to come back.
