Top, zügiger freundlicher Service, Essen authentisch und sehr fein!

Wirklich extrem unfreundlich. Jedesmal. Deswegen nie wieder.

Sehr leckere Pizza aus dem Steinofen von Pizzabäcker Salvatore. Lustige und sehr angenehme Stimmung, toller Service. Würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Die Location ist mittelmäßig, und das Personal spricht ausschließlich Italienisch – es musste eigens ein zweiter Kellner herbeigerufen werden, nur um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. Die Pizza war furchtbar; ich habe noch nie eine schlechtere Pizza gegessen, schon gar nicht zu diesem Preis. Die positiven Bewertungen stammen höchstwahrscheinlich noch vom Vorbesitzer – andernfalls kann ich mir schlichtweg nicht erklären. Ich kann dieses Lokal nicht empfehlen.

Sind nach dem Skywalk in diesem Restaurant mit unseren 2 Kindern hier Essen gewesen. Sehr Freundicher Service und die Pizza aus den Holzofen sehr gut. Kommen gerne wieder wen wir in der gegend sind.

Ich hatte schon viel Gutes über das Gran Sasso in Scheidegg gehört, aber der Besuch hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Ein italienisches Restaurant in Deutschland, das einen wirklich verzaubert. Küchenchef Carmine: Das Herzstück dieses Restaurants. Ein außergewöhnlicher Profi, hochqualifiziert, dessen meisterhaftes Können in der italienischen Küche in jedem Bissen spürbar ist. Seine Leidenschaft spiegelt sich in jedem Gericht wider; man versteht sofort, dass Kochen für ihn nicht nur ein Job, sondern eine Berufung ist. Es ist selten, einen so engagierten und talentierten Koch zu finden. Die Küche: Einfach außergewöhnlich. Frische Zutaten, Rezepte, die die italienische Tradition respektieren, authentische und tiefgründige Aromen. Jedes Gericht erzählt eine Geschichte und bringt das Beste der italienischen Gastronomie auf den Tisch. Die Pizza: Eine wahre Offenbarung. Wir waren am Karfreitag spontan mit 3 Personen hier und haben relativ schnell einen frei gewordenen Sitzplatz bekommen. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, sowie Service. Die Pizza wurde vor unseren Augen zubereitet und gebacken. Sehr lecker! Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier her kommen und können das Gran Sasso uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. 😊

Die Pizza aus dem Holzofen war super lecker. Bislang keinen besseren Boden in einer Pizzeria gegessen. Die Pasta so wie sie sein muss - al dente... die Soße dazu überaus lecker. Die Portionen mehr als ausreichend groß. Das Personal mit dem italienischen Charme einfach grandios :-)

Super netter Service. Leckere Pizza aus dem Holzofen. Wir hatten außerdem einen frischen Rucola Salat mit viel gehobeltem Parmesan und Tagliatelle mit Lachs und Spinat - auch sehr gut. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Personal unfreundlich und unaufmerksam. Kartenzahlung erst ab 25 Euro pro Person möglich. Das war für uns ein großes Probem, da meine Kollegen aus UK keine Euros hatten. Am Ende musste ich alles übernehmen. Nicht gemütlich. Billiges Ambiente mit Kunstblumen.

Wenn man das Gran Sasso betritt, vergisst man sofort, dass man sich gerade nicht in einer Seitengasse in Italien befindet. Es ist selten, ein Restaurant zu finden, das Handwerk, Leidenschaft und Gastfreundschaft so perfekt vereint. Außerdem gibt es hier den besten Aperol Spritz weit und breit!

Super leckere Pizza und Nudeln. Original Steinofen. Der Mann am Ofen hat sein Handwerk verstanden. Schön ihm dabei zuzuschaurn. Wenn wir mal wieder hier sind kommen wir gerne wieder.

Unseren Geschmack hat es nicht getroffen. Die Pizza und der Salat waren geschmacklos und leider sehr lieblos zubereitet. Der Service war auch nicht besonders freundlich,da erwarte ich etwas mehr wenn man sein Geld dafür ausgeben soll.

Everything was mediocre, from the service to the ambiance to the food. The pizza bread quickly became hard and resembled rusks in places; beyond that, there was no garlic or oil. The seafood salad was already very al dente. The vitello tonnato was rather tasteless and had an excessive amount of arugula. Unfortunately, the value for money here isn't at all.

We ordered for pickup and were very disappointed. The pasta was reheated and tasted like frozen food, and I don't even want to talk about the carpaccio. I threw it straight in the trash after just one bite. The meat had a sour taste, which didn't even remotely resemble carpaccio and reminded me more of expired cooked ham. There was no arugula, even though it was advertised as such; instead, there was a pre-made salad from a bag that was already brown and flaky. I would never eat here again and would advise everyone to get fries from a snack bar instead, where at least you know what you're getting.

The food was more than good, the pizza was really good... we were there for lunch. The ambiance was also basically okay. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere wasn't great. The host and his waitress (presumably his son) were dancing and singing loudly in the dining room, then busy on their phones... which, along with the Italian music on the radio, was really annoying. I had to say twice that we'd like to pay... It could be better...

I can't recommend this restaurant. We were there on a Thursday, and the restaurant was open, even though the door said "Closed Thursdays." So far, so good. We sat in the beer garden. My partner ordered a salami pizza, and I ordered an insalata verde. What was served to me was a small bowl of wilted and brownish iceberg lettuce cut into thin strips, presumably left over from the day before. The dressing was unidentifiable. The salad tasted slightly bitter, and the dressing lacked any flavor—definitely a case for the organic waste bin. After the first forkful, I left the salad; it was inedible and an insult. My partner's salami pizza only had slices of salami. I know from a good pizzeria that the salami is topped with cheese, even on a frozen pizza. The pizza looked like it had been baked in a wood-fired oven, but the taste wasn't outstanding—as advertised by the restaurant—more like a run-of-the-mill pizza. When the waiter came to take my payment, he didn't ask if I didn't like the salad and outrageously charged me €5.50. I was charged €3.20 for a 0.4-liter glass of mineral water—extortionate. That was my first and last visit to this pizzeria. The value for money was abysmal! The service was careless, listless, and indifferent, following the motto: "eat or die."

Good spaghetti, very tasty food, initially a bit irritated by the staff, from somewhat robust posturing to very friendly, everything was there... it's fine... recommend it

I usually never write reviews. But this place can be intimidating for those coming from a big city, because it seems like a German restaurant done in Italian style, but I have to say that if any fellow countrymen pass by here they can stop for a meal. Pizza and Bolognese for the kids are ok... I have to say the pizza is delicious and doesn't linger in your stomach, the mozzarella is also good, not the usual gauda. Very kind owners with Neapolitan music in the background. Thanks.

Delicious food especially the pizza

Carmine, the owner, is an eclectic and exceptional person, who captivates you with his charm and tells you many interesting anecdotes about his life. The pizzas get an 8 (there's always room for improvement), but the vegetable soup and cannelloni with meat were 10+. Thanks also for the homemade sorbet, much appreciated!

2025 - The quality of the pizza seemed to have declined somewhat. Tables and countertops were not clean. 2023/2024 We were here for dinner. The pizza and calzone were delicious – the crust was fantastic, the salad was also delicious, and the tiramisu was also delicious. We would love to come back.

We would definitely describe this restaurant as "underrated" ☝🏼 and it deserves more stars. We had a tomato soup starter and two pizzas 🍕. All three dishes were perfect; we would order it exactly the same way again and have zero complaints. 🤤😮‍💨 The portions are large and the price is super fair. 🤝

Little food for a lot of money 😕 Among other things, we ordered a Caprese salad to go. The salad tasted okay, but not particularly good. The mini portion cost 13!!!! euros, which wouldn't even fill a child. That's about 6 slices of mozzarella and a sliced tomato on a few arugula leaves. When we asked if the price was right, we were met with a smile and the explanation that they don't set the prices. That's a rip-off and can only be done if there are enough walk-up customers. Therefore, unfortunately, only one star.

A real experience. Super nice people. The pizza chef was fun to watch, and the food was amazing.

A few meters away is another pizzeria, where we left the dining area after our drinks. Apparently, the staff weren't willing to put their cell phones on silent, which meant a film in a foreign language played throughout the entire dining area... so much for that. At Gran Sasso, we felt completely different from the moment we entered! Even though this isn't a gourmet restaurant... everyone here is a genuine Italian, and they were all friendly and accommodating. The highlight, however, is the man at the oven, who prepares the pizzas and bakes them in the open oven. Here, the dough is really turned and swirled, and the result is a huge and delicious pizza that truly deserves the label "Italian"! A great base and an excellent overall flavor. We were very pleasantly surprised, and THANK YOU for that!!!

If you want to eat a really good pizza, this is the right place. The first courses are also excellent, abundant and super delicious, the tagliatelle with seafood were a dream. Super value for money, friendly and very kind staff! I highly recommend it.

The behavior of one of the employees at this restaurant is completely inappropriate. The man, who is apparently part of the team, disrespectfully stares at every waitress's buttocks without any inhibitions. Even worse: Even my partner was subjected to unpleasant stares during our visit, even though we were clearly there as a couple. This is completely unacceptable. It's not only harassing to the employees, but also extremely unprofessional to the guests. Food and ambiance aside, if you're made to feel uncomfortable as a guest, then visiting is simply an imposition. Hopefully, this behavior will be taken seriously internally and consequences will be imposed. In any case, I won't be coming back.

Salad with fried salmon was the house recommendation. Unfortunately, the salmon was very burnt and simply inedible. There was no concession, just the statement that there had never been a complaint and it had always been delicious. This simply isn't acceptable!!! Even if you pay the full price of €17 for it! I'm sorry.

Great pizza!! It was very busy, and the atmosphere was accordingly loud and chaotic. Orders were taken multiple times by different employees. Everything seemed a bit hectic and disorganized. The pizzas were excellent, though! Thin crust, from the wood-fired oven, crispy crust, really very good!

Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't tasty at all, and it wasn't prepared with love either—a pure disappointment. And charging €15.00 for a small tuna pizza is completely unjust. I definitely don't recommend it.

Personal war eher unfreundlich und lustlos. Der bestellte Rotwein hatte die Temperatur wie ein Glühwein. Die Penne al Forno waren in der Mitte noch gefroren und außen verbrannt.Geschmack war ziemlich miess. Empfehlen kann ich den Besuch dort sicher nicht.

Good good The service is subpar

Schade. Über etwas mehr Freundlichkeit beim Betreten und beim Bedienen hätten wir uns riesig gefreut. Wir hatten den Eindruck, weder willkommen und gerne bedient zu werden. Die Terrasse war weder für eine Bewirtung vorbereitet noch wirkte sie auf uns willkommen.

We were very dissatisfied; the portions were small and the price-performance ratio was not right at all. The food was brought but there was no cutlery. We had to ask for it first, and then it was brought. The pizza was half-burned and tasteless, the fries were very dry, and no ketchup or mayo was offered. When I asked, I was told that they had run out of ketchup. The Wiener schnitzel was also small and very thin, very dry and hard, and reminded me more of a shoe sole. After complaining, I got a new one, but it wasn't much better. There was no lemon either.

It's a shame. We would have greatly appreciated a bit more friendliness upon entry and service. We felt neither welcome nor pleasantly served. The terrace was neither prepared for service nor did it feel inviting to us.

We only had a drink around lunchtime, but that was enough for us. The staff were very unfriendly. We felt like guests weren't welcome. They should probably close. We can't comment on the food.

We ate here with our two children on May 1st and were unfortunately not satisfied. Our order was taken incorrectly several times, and the food was delivered incorrectly or even swapped with other tables. The waiter spoke no German or English, and communication was accordingly very poor. One child's meal was completely forgotten... The Margherita pizza and pasta with Bolognese for the children tasted quite good. My pasta was missing saffron, even though it was listed on the menu. My husband's anchovy pizza was missing anchovies. We complained, but unfortunately, it was dismissed – no apology, etc. The portions were also too small and didn't fill us up. It's a real shame, because the ambiance itself and the restaurant are actually very nice.

Had dinner here with my family today. The pizza comes fresh from the wood-fired oven and the wait is not long. Pizza and bruschetta were the best I've eaten in a long time, really recommended. The service was very friendly and we felt comfortable on the beautiful terrace. If we didn't live so far away we would definitely come more often!!!

I got a spot spontaneously on Saturday. The pizza and cannelloni were delicious.

Cozy Italian restaurant. The pizzas were excellent. We were positively surprised by the Allgäu variant. Pizza with bacon and mountain cheese. What should be particularly positively mentioned is the way and friendliness in dealing with children. Therefore highly recommended.

Had a dinner with my daughter yesterday, food was surprisingly good in comparison with some comments here. We had simple pasta and pizza and it was delicious. We had a fortune to have a live music in a form of very Italian guy playing acoustic guitar and singing some very Italian songs but hey, what’s better to accompany nice Italian food then that. Seriously I couldn’t complain about anything, very good all around. Grazie Maestro.

I'm totally disappointed. We've had much better dishes there. Well, called shortly after opening on Sunday evening and wanted to order for pickup. The man on the phone was a bit reluctant because we couldn't tell him the number of the dish because we simply didn't have a card anymore. (What do hospital guests or holiday guests do then?) Of course you can google this, but an employee who answers the phone should actually know the dishes by name and not just by number. Well, in any case the dishes were ready for collection at the agreed time. But if I order pasta with cream sauce and an old forno dish with tomato sauce, I would also like sauce. Long story short... We won't be ordering there or going to the restaurant again!!!
