We had a lovely evening on a Wednesday. We chose the Italian evening menu and were not disappointed. Everything was delicious :) beautifully presented, and the food was seasonal. It leaves you feeling very full. They even refilled our wine. We would recommend it and will be back. You feel very comfortable there, with a very elegant atmosphere. It's the best Italian restaurant I've tried here in Hanover.

The food and ingredients were of the absolute highest quality. the dishes were also creative with an authentic Italian flair. The service was equally incredible, both the waiter and owner made us all feel at home and were friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!

There aren't enough stars to judge the level of kindness and attentiveness of the staff. The same goes for the flavor and creativity of the recipes. Authentic, local, niche, refined, yet typically Italian food. One of the best clam pastas ever, with just three ingredients. Simplicity and full flavor, nothing else needed. The most authentic Italian restaurant we've ever tried in Germany. We'll definitely be back next time.

Very friendly service, superb Italian food! Bright and pleasantly decorated! Unfortunately, parking is difficult. But it can't be helped! You have to get there early enough to get one or take public transport! We went there with a voucher, but we'll definitely book a table again!

The exclusive steak tasting is something very special and certainly not an everyday occurrence. The entire evening was accompanied by music; the selection was very pleasant, and the singer had a wonderful voice and was very personable. The service at la Forchetta is always very commendable; always attentive and always on the lookout for guests. The food was very varied, and you could try different types of meat that you wouldn't normally eat. All in all, a very successful evening.

We ate at the restaurant "La Focetta" today. The starters, such as the beef carpaccio and the bruschetta, were truly excellent. We haven't had anything of this quality in a long time. Unfortunately, the main courses (spaghetti vongole and sea bass) were somewhat lackluster in flavor and a bit bland. Furthermore, we were mistakenly served spaghetti vongole instead of the spaghetti carbonara we ordered. Since I hate waste and they initially looked really good, I wanted to try it. The service was excellent at first, but then unfortunately patchy. In the end, I was very disappointed; while other guests were allowed to pay at the table, I was asked to go to the counter. This seemed a bit inappropriate and unfortunately spoiled the overall impression quite a bit. Overall, it was okay, but definitely not worthy of 5 stars.

We ate here for our wedding anniversary. First, we were treated to a delicious welcome from the kitchen. Our appetizer was the real culinary highlight! Octopus and porcini mushrooms on polenta with a surprising orange flavor 🐙🍊 briefly smoked under a cloche 🛎 and only opened at the table, so we could still smell and see the smoke. The pasta, second courses, and desserts were also delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. If you visit on a sunny Saturday evening, be sure to allow plenty of time, as the restaurant can get quite busy. We highly recommend La Forchetta!

Although I've lived just around the corner for years, a few weeks ago, following a recommendation, I visited La Forchetta for the first time. My first impression was absolutely wonderful, so I've been there twice since then and can now say: I've really been missing out these past few years! The service is so warm and attentive, the ambiance is upscale, yet there's no lack of comfort and a feel-good atmosphere, and the food is simply fantastic! I'm already looking forward to my next visit and, until then, I'll continue to dream about the delicious truffle pasta 😊

This is a recommended Italian restaurant in Hannover. The pizza, available only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, is also very delicious! The staff and chef are very friendly.

The location is good. It's a great place to have a chat. It's not on a busy street. The food is high quality, and the lamb was excellent! The ice cream was also delicious. Very friendly. The prices are absolutely reasonable.

Since La Forchetta deleted my husband's very honest review for "defamation," here are my impressions of the visit: I visited La Forchetta again after a long time and noticed that the restaurant's concept has changed. They no longer serve pizza, the prices have increased, and the portion sizes seem smaller than before. During our visit, we ordered two pasta dishes, each costing around €20. The portions seemed rather small to me; the dishes were okay in terms of taste, but not outstanding. The bruschetta, for just under €7, tasted good, but also quite small. During our stay, I noticed that there were loud (arguments) between employees both in the kitchen and in the guest area. In addition, the fire alarm went off twice during the live cooking session, which somewhat spoiled the atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, which I would like to emphasize as a very positive aspect. Overall, I regret the changes to the concept, as I really appreciated the previous offerings and ambiance. I also regret that La Forchetta deletes reviews that don't fit the concept instead of engaging with the critics. In my opinion, the 4.8 stars are now only of limited significance.

It was a wonderful evening. The menu offers a rich and delicious selection, even for vegetarians. We had a starter, main course, and dessert. The asparagus risotto and lemon sorbet are particularly noteworthy.

A feast for the palate with Italian cuisine. The menu features classics and interesting combinations, and various set menus are available. The service and quality are top-notch, and we felt at home. The flavors were well-rounded, from the wine to the tiramisu. If you're looking for something more than pizza or pasta al pomodoro, this is the place to be. Compliments!

Thank you for a successful company event We recently celebrated our corporate event at La Forchetta – and it was a great experience. The food, drinks and service were excellent and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed a delicious buffet, including vegan ravioli and lasagne, sea bream and a selection of antipasti. The desserts – panna cotta and tiramisu – were also a real highlight. A special thank you to Chef Marco and waiter Nino for their professionalism, friendliness and great support throughout the evening. You played a key role in making our event a complete success.

We went to this restaurant on Valentine's Day and had a wonderful evening. In addition to the cozy atmosphere, the excellent food and the warm service, the team even fulfilled a special wish of my partner: He had asked to organize a rose for me as a surprise - and the staff implemented this with a lot of love and attention. You can immediately feel that this restaurant is run with passion. The atmosphere is familiar and guests are welcomed with great warmth. It was a magical evening and I can fully recommend the restaurant!

It was our first time at La Forchetta and we had a great evening. The atmosphere is harmonious, the hosts are very attentive, accommodating and warm. We chose the 4-course menu a la carte and were extremely satisfied with every course: very tasty, visually appealing and absolutely satisfying 😀. Highly recommended for an evening for two, please plan your time accordingly (>3 hours for the 4 courses). Top!

Wow! A great restaurant experience! We were there on a Wednesday evening and opted for the four-course menu 'Italian Evening'. Very attentive service, high quality food, tasteful. Wine was always refilled. This menu was good value for money.

First visit to the restaurant, chosen because of the good reviews and the advertised Valentine's Day menu, which was delicious to read. The reservation worked wonderfully. The welcome was friendly and the drinks were very good. The Valentine's Day menu was ok, but it didn't taste great for the money per person. The roulade was simply too dry and the side dish of eggplant puree, which was not listed on the menu, was neither a hit in terms of appearance nor taste. This side dish was left on the plates by some guests. But the dessert made it. We will come back again and try the cuisine ala cart. Let's see if it tastes better then.

We visited the restaurant and enjoyed a fantastic crustacean menu 🦞. The service was very attentive, friendly and accommodating, so you immediately felt at home. The food was puristically reduced to the main ingredients, really tasty and beautifully presented. The boss/cook was also at the table and joined the crowd after the menu was over. Overall, an evening that couldn't have been better. The restaurant offers a large selection of wine and grappa. The evening was accompanied by a singer who sang mostly Italian music as accompaniment. We will be happy to come back.

More appearance than reality Overpriced and mediocre food. We were there as a family and just wanted to order the gnocchi for our 2 year old son, which was served as a side dish with the fish. With the request that we only get the gnocchi as a small portion, which of course we would have paid for. It wasn't possible, we had to order and pay for the entire dish at an overpriced price and the worst thing is, the fish didn't even taste good. Greed is probably more important than the customer. The boss apparently, I think Marco, also seemed very arrogant.

Disappointing Valentine's menu - unfortunately not a recommendation Dear La Forchetta team, We were with you last night and were looking forward to a special Valentine's menu. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. The menu at €79 per person was disappointing, particularly the dry beef roulades. The wine accompaniment for €39 per person also consisted of rather ordinary table wines that were not well matched to the food. The ambience and the stylish table linen were positive, but the service sometimes seemed stressed and disorganized. Overall, the price-performance ratio was unfortunately not convincing. Very unfortunate.

Everything in the restaurant is much nicer than it appears on the internet. That's why we almost didn't go. But the recommendation was a hit!! Luckily the portions are larger than shown online. Excellent food. Creative, great taste, well prepared. We were very pleasantly surprised!!; In addition, a non-arrogant, almost familiar boss and a lot of attentive staff. Above all, finally old school service again!!!! All that was missing was the white glove :) You could still offer one to three dishes in the middle segment for Südstadt residents. Basics, like veal schnitzel for the little man, without the courage to be extravagant. And of course the children's menu and the extra menu for the summer terrace... Highly recommended for a successful evening!

Neither of us liked the food and it was simply not worth the price. I left my tongue ragout after five bites and my friend left half the naval soup. In the end going out for that and four drinks for €70 is definitely not worth it.

There was live music, incredibly well sung, you can't have a better holiday in Hanover's Italy on a Saturday evening!

Very tasty food, nice atmosphere, 5 stars for that. We didn't expect such bad service: there was almost no dessert available and we weren't even offered espresso. 30 minutes from the end, the kitchen was cleaned with chemicals so much that the dining room smelled bad, the waiter was very annoyed, indirectly indicated that we had to leave, please, 10 minutes from the end he was standing in front of the door with my jacket, even though I didn't ask him to. 3 stars deducted for the service

We are from Berlin and visiting Hanover to visit the Christmas market and found out about it online and reserved a table from home. It was the best decision we could have made to start our trip this way. It tasted damn good and the service was a dream. The ambience is just right. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. Leave everything as it is, it's excellent. We promise we'll be back. Stay healthy everyone and Merry Christmas.

Every course was perfectly seasoned and we didn't have a course that we didn't like. Everything was prepared with love. We ordered wine and just let ourselves be surprised and were not disappointed here either. Almost got better and but liked the service. Very accommodating and friendly and we felt super comfortable! I had planned a special evening and was unfortunately very disappointed. The reception was nice. We each put together a 3-course meal. Everything was good for my partner, hence the 3 star rating. I was served a completely different dish for the main course than what I ordered. I mentioned this and the waiter was initially completely overwhelmed and couldn't find a solution. Then I thought I didn't want to wait so long again for my actual dish while my partner already had his pasta in front of him and I said that it would definitely take some time until my course arrived and otherwise I would end up with the wrong dish, Although I don't like it, I can eat it because I didn't want to inconvenience it, but given the price, that was a big mistake. So I had a carbonara with bacon on it, which I don't like, and I collected the bacon from the pasta with the waiter. Unfortunately, the taste was so intense (very salty and smoky) that I could only eat a few noodles. I then ate my fill of bread with olive oil (which was excellent). When I reported that I didn't like it, there wasn't even a proper apology. I think the restaurant owner didn't even notice this and the waiter didn't communicate his mistake. At the beginning he was at another table and had an argument with the waiter because something was wrong there too. For dessert there was a tiramisu, which was okay but not outstanding, but way too much so I only managed half of it. As an apology, the waiter wanted to offer me something on the house afterwards, even though I had already said that I was completely full. I would have liked the price to be more accommodating and I even gave a tip because that's just how it should be... I was really very sad after the evening because I paid so much money for poor service and the atmosphere that followed could no longer cheer me up as the evening progressed.

I don't think I've ever had such good truffle tagliatelle! I've tried almost everything and found it to be good without exception. Very nice and fast service. I'd love to come back

Four of us ate at this restaurant and we all loved it! I can't even put my euphoria into words! The food was incredibly tasty, I have rarely eaten so well in my life (and believe me I have eaten in many countries, places, restaurants) the quality of the food, the way it was prepared and presented was really top! You can tell on the plate that everything is cooked with heart in the kitchen. The service is very attentive and friendly, even though the shop was full, we always had wine by the glass and there was really nothing missing at our table! Big praise also to the live singer! At first I thought Hmm... ok live music might be a bit overpowering but no, it was really subtle and not disturbing at all! Ultimately all I can say is: You have to eat here! You have to have been here! Thank you for the unforgettable evening We will definitely come back!

The food was exquisite and extremely tasty. In terms of price, quality and quantity were in a perfect ratio. The waiters are very friendly and very accommodating. The truffle pasta is highly recommended.

A real Italian, not cheap but good

The visit left me with mixed feelings: the quality of the rack of lamb was excellent; the meat was tender and tasty, and the preparation was convincing. However, the portion consisted of just five small pieces of meat, accompanied by a modest amount of mashed potatoes. The price of 31 euros seemed a bit excessive to me. The service was polite and attentive, but the overall impression of the evening was marred by the unfavorable price-performance ratio. Despite the high quality of the food, I would have liked a larger portion or a more reasonable price.

Before Corona, we often ate at La Forchetta. During Corona, the whole thing was somehow forgotten. By chance we became aware of a special offer, in this case it was a crustacean dinner and because we had been wanting to try crustaceans for a long time, we reserved a table and went. My wife has some specific allergies and has had some bad experiences with them. Either they couldn't tell her what was in the dishes or they ignored the questions. Not so at La Forchetta, we already stated our allergies when making the reservation and were then asked about them directly when greeting us. Not only that, to be on the safe side, the chef came to us and asked us again exactly what the allergies were like. Enough digression, the food was really delicious. We felt very comfortable and well looked after. The restaurant makes a well-kept and inviting impression. We will definitely be going back to La Forchetta more often from now on.

During a promotional period it was possible to have Neapolitan pizza baked in an oven right outside the restaurant and take it away. It was quick and easy to order, the staff was friendly and you could watch the preparation and cooking process. The pizza was crispy and juicy on the inside, but the dough was a bit too salty. The price for a Margherita was not cheap at around €14, but still ok.

Italian food at its best with great attention to detail is how I would describe our visit. Four of us were spontaneously and for the first time at La Forchetta and were immediately taken by the pleasant service in the well-kept atmosphere. The starters were perfectly prepared and also a visual highlight. The focus here was on balanced flavors that are otherwise so often missing from antipasti. Plus a cool white wine, what more could you want. Then pasta with parmesan truffles... Oh yes, food can be so beautiful. Many thanks to the team for this special piece of Italy.

Everything is very good here, the reception, the furnishings, the service and even the location. Nice outside in the summer too. The food was first class all around and the chef regularly confirmed this by asking questions at the table. If you just want a quick pizza in the evening, this is the wrong place. We were there with friends and had to dig a little deeper. The selection of South Tyrolean wines is worth mentioning; you don't have that often.
