Since my granddaughter has a gluten intolerance, it was so great that all dishes could be made gluten-free upon request; she could even have ice cream for dessert – so lovely, we'd love to come back again.

It's a lovely osteria where you're sure to find something delicious! Whether it's appetizers, pizzas/pasta/meat and fish dishes, or desserts! We received excellent advice and professional service!

Very friendly and helpful waiters, food arrived quickly and hot, and overall a nice place to eat and relax!

But otherwise, it was okay. December 21, 2025 Hello dear friends! I was there today for my personal Christmas dinner! I had "Spaghetti Carbonara"! I was very happy with it! Really delicious! And well-prepared! I was also very satisfied with my small beer and my "Jack and Coke"! I can definitely recommend this restaurant!

It's simply the best Italian restaurant in and around Freudenstadt. Not only is the food excellent, but the service is unbeatable, complete with its own unique sense of humor!

Pizza and starter very good, very busy when we were there (Saturday evening)

The food was delicious. We went there late afternoon (during the week), as we had no chance of getting in without a reservation on a Saturday night. Which is understandable, given the fantastic food and excellent service. So, it's always best to make a reservation! Our dog was also allowed in. Everything is available gluten-free (for an additional charge, which is unfortunately a disadvantage for people with intolerances, but you're lucky if you can find something gluten-free anywhere, because that's usually very difficult).

I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is fast and very friendly, the food is delicious, and the interior is cozy and clean. I had the best Italian food there in a long time.

Acqua Panna and San Pellegrinno bottles were brought to the table already opened, which is an absolute no-go. The water didn't taste like the original either, more like tap water, and charging €7.50 for it is outrageous. The pizza didn't taste fresh, more like frozen food. All in all, a bit disappointed with this shop, especially since it's run by Italians. P.S. after the owner's reply: It's obvious that I'm a bit frustrated with the water. Nevertheless, I wrote a constructive review. And to boast about having bottled the water is also shameful. The fact that the price is only €6.90 instead of €7.50 is my mistake; I must have mixed up the quantity and price.

Wow, the food was fantastic. Our waiter took great care of us. There's even a heated conservatory. It's a truly great place, and the restrooms are very clean.

We were there this evening, and the welcome was fantastic. We were seated at a great table where you can also smoke – perfect for us. The waiter immediately came over with a warm smile and kindly asked us if we needed an ashtray. Very attentive! We ordered spaghetti and risotto with Parmesan. The wait was pleasantly short, and when the food arrived, we were delighted: fresh, hot, and simply incredibly delicious 😋. We all enjoyed it wonderfully. I would especially like to emphasize the excellent service – friendly, attentive, yet pleasantly relaxed. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

We spontaneously visited this restaurant on Monday. We had called and made a reservation a short time ago, which worked out without any problems, even though it was very busy at the time. We ordered a pizza and spaghetti frutti di mare, along with a small mixed salad. The salad that came first was very good, although it could have been a bit more "mixed." Then came the pizza. We ate the pizza together, as the spaghetti was taking a while to arrive! When we were almost finished, another server appeared, and we told them we were still waiting for the spaghetti. 10 minutes later, it arrived. A quick, casual question, "Did they forget it?" was met with a curt reply, "I didn't." 😳! The best thing about this dish was that the spaghetti was "al dente." 😟. Otherwise, it was unfortunately tasteless, and the seafood flavor also left a lot to be desired. Our search for seasoning on the table was unsuccessful. Since I couldn't find any waitresses at that point, we had to go straight to the counter and get it. Conclusion: The pizza was very good and highly recommended. The Spaghetti Frutti di Mare is better than buying a ready meal at a supermarket. The prices are a bit high, in my opinion. Especially for the spaghetti and a regular 1/4 glass of red wine, which came to €9.

An absolute recommendation! The Osteria is a little gem in Freudenstadt – a beautiful ambiance, warm and attentive staff, and delightful Italian cuisine. Our first visit was rather spontaneous, but the quality of the food completely won us over. Two months later, we returned especially for the occasion – and it was worth it! Freshly prepared dishes with great attention to detail. You can feel true Italian hospitality here. We'll definitely be back!

Great, solid Italian restaurant with a typically Italian menu. My pizza was truly delicious, and the pasta carbonara was also authentic and without cream. We were satisfied and would recommend this osteria without reservation.

We have been to this restaurant three times. All three times because of the guests who came to us, because the restaurant has a nice and cozy atmosphere. The last time - five people (including two children). We waited for our order for 1 hour and 10 minutes, three dishes of which were spaghetti, not complicated. We decided to get up and leave the restaurant, paying only for our drinks. The waiters are very preoccupied with a bunch of tasks, they do not run, but fly between the tables, stress is visible in their eyes and in their attitude towards the customers. The children began to cry from the long wait. I decided to call out to the waiter, but he cut me off mid-sentence, with the word "Momento!" and ran off somewhere, without even returning to us. I wanted to ask if he could ask the kitchen if they would at least bring the children dishes. It was Saturday, their restaurant is always full. But the waiters are always under increased stress, which is reflected in a rude and indifferent attitude towards visitors. My second visit was like this: there were 4 people, girlfriends. The waiter came to us twice and said, "Have you eaten? Are you ready with your food? Should we take your plates?" Her face showed obvious nervousness. I was silent until one of my girlfriends asked us: doesn't he seem pushy to you, as if he wants to chase us away already, or is it just me? This was the second visit. I don't want to go there anymore, because of the service, the waiters and the very long wait for food. The owner of the restaurant is always nice and friendly, he stands at the cash register. And, as I said, the atmosphere, the interior is cozy. It is quite noisy or lively. Therefore, you can go with families and children.

Finally, a (good) restaurant that doesn't close before 9 p.m.! Very good food, whether it's the pizzas (Oh Julia) or the pasta (four cheese gnocchi, spaghetti carbonara). The desserts are decent, but not as good as the main courses.

On Sunday evening, four of us visited Osteria D'Orazio. The warm welcome and lively atmosphere, with Italian charm, hospitality, and the appropriate background noise, were immediately noticeable. Our outdoor table offered pleasant peace and comfort. The menu featured classic Italian cuisine, including homemade pasta, interesting pizza creations, and a small but fine selection of meat and fish dishes. The service was excellent, charming, and lively. The fact that the restaurant was almost fully booked for several hours until late in the evening underscores its popularity in Freudenstadt. An all-around positive experience.

Check your bill carefully! We went there for dinner with a business group. The staff was mostly friendly. The food orders arrived after about an hour (pizza!), and the atmosphere was decent. The pizza looked appetizing, but it was tough and difficult to cut with the house cutlery. The visit was rather tiring. There are certainly other Italian restaurants in Freudenstadt...

A very nice restaurant; you immediately smell the aromas of Italy as soon as you walk in. There's a lovely outdoor veranda, and the decor is very good. The pizza is excellent, perhaps with a bit too much mozzarella for our taste. The waiter service is exceptional; they really have a fantastic team, especially the head waiter (Accu). We wish them continued success.

A tastefully decorated restaurant, both inside and outside in the conservatory, and pleasantly quiet at the rear, away from the street. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and attentive; nothing was lacking. The menu offers something for every taste, including dishes you'd expect from an Italian restaurant, as well as some unusual options. There's also something for vegetarians. I haven't had such delicious bruschetta in a long time, and the penne arrabiata was also excellent. My partner was absolutely thrilled with the pizza. Hi I was here on June 25th and celebrated my husband's birthday with a friend.1) Our friend's glass of non-alcoholic beer was not full as it should be. Lots of foam with air. 2) The bruschetta was a bit tasteless and hard that you couldn't bite into the slice of bread and a bit burnt. Only 2 slices. Too little salad, and the garlic and parmesan cheese for the pasta were in extremely small bowls. 3) There was no condiments on the table. We said what was not ok but we were ignored. Prices have increased and the quality is decreasing day by day. 4) My husband's pizza was unseasoned. Unfortunately any complaint is not taken into account. Too bad. It could be better... The consumption was about 75 euros.

Osteria D'Orazio is located on the outskirts of Freudenstadt, heading towards Lauterbad. It's definitely worth a visit. A warm welcome, very friendly and attentive service, and delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. We had Rigatoni alla Contandina and Fettuccine Salmone. Both arrived simultaneously after just 10 minutes – the portions were very filling and tasted fantastic. We enjoyed an Alpirsbacher beer to quench our thirst and a Ramazzotti to finish. Full marks, we highly recommend it. We will definitely be back when we are in Freudenstadt.

I recently visited Osteria D'Orazio for the first time with a good friend. We arrived quite late, but were still greeted very warmly. Gluten-free tip!! The gluten-free pizzas here are second to none. Absolutely delicious. The dough is made in-house, as per the information, and tastes fantastic. Gluten-free pasta (penne) is also available.

I reserved a table online, arrived, and was shown to my table. The atmosphere was lovely. Everything was very clean. I ordered an Ohh Julia pizza. First of all: Highly recommended! We ate vitello tonnato, pizza and tiramisu. WOW was that delicious. Wine and espresso rounded off a lovely evening. Very good plate of antipasti as a starter, to share (a little expensive, €21) Then, a good pizza with grilled vegetables (thin, airy dough, well puffed edges) and very hearty and tasty porcini pasta! With two drinks, a bottle of water and a coffee, we got it for just under €80 Very responsive and smiling staff.

Pasta is al dente, seafood ingredient is so fresh and taste just right. Perfect dinner!

I was there today with a friend. The pizza was listed on the menu for €15.50. I also drank a 0.4 liter cola and paid a total of €30.40. I was amazed when the waiter only returned €19.60 out of the €50. By the way, the pizza was delicious, but I can't recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Leider war es an diesem Samstag Abend sehr voll und die Getöuschkulisse im Lokal unglaublich laut. Wir haben gegessen und sind geflüchtet. Mit gemütlich Essen gehen hat das nichts zu tun. Am Eingang standen ständig Leute die auf einen Tisch gewartet haben. Was ja vielleicht für die Qualität des Essens spricht. Wir werden zum gemütlich Essen gehen dort sicher nicht mehr hingehen.

I paid extra for arugula on my pizza...then I had to get the pizza myself...came home and noticed there was no arugula on my pizza...I didn't want to drive back but wanted to complain over the phone that I wasn't paying for anything have. I called and gave up after being on hold for 10 minutes. The pizzas are very, but can you trust the shop?! I got an apology... but somehow it doesn't sound like an apology.

Schönes Ambiente, das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, wir hatten als Vorspeise einen Antipasti Teller (siehe Bild) und zum Hauptgericht (ohne Bild) eine Pizza mit Parmaschinken Ruccula und Parmesanspäne. Die Aperitif-Empfehlung war Top (siehe Bild) Die Weinempfehlung war hervorragend (siehe Bild) Service und Freundlichkeit einmalig. Wir kommen wieder, vielen Dank an Team Osteria.
