The dishes were average and nothing special. The service was quite slow, and the portions were very small, almost like tapas portions in Berlin. The prices were also high for that small portions. Overall, I don’t think you get enough value for what you’re paying.

The food was delicious, and the service was very, very good. But it's a restaurant I've actually been to once, and I'll probably keep going. I don't know why; perhaps it didn't completely convince me personally. I'd still recommend it for Turkish cuisine in Prenzlauer Berg, as it's a rarity in the area.

The ambiance is cozy and full of character. Unfortunately, I have to say that I find the food overpriced. It was tasty, but very limited for the price, and the ingredients didn't convince us that it justified the price. We're happy to pay a higher price for a meal that makes us feel special, but unfortunately, that wasn't what we experienced. This was our second time at Osman's Daughters, and unfortunately, we won't try it again.

The food was excellent, but I have to deduct something for the service. The restaurant was very busy, so the staff probably wasn't up to scratch. However, they were friendly and competent. The ambiance was just too rustic for me. But that's just an aesthetic issue.

We happened to be in the area on a whim and managed to get a table. A great atmosphere, a very warm and attentive team, and the mezze was exceptionally delicious! Thank you for this lovely evening, and we'd love to come back.

Really delicious food in a lovely setting. We ate here with the family and really enjoyed it. The staff were extremely friendly and explained everything to us and also gave us food recommendations. Everything we had was delicious. The ambiance was also nice. We especially liked that there wasn't any loud music. Otherwise, it would quickly become uncomfortably loud inside. The only thing we all found quite high was the drink prices. We thought twice about whether we wanted another drink.

Nice restaurant with good food and chill vibes. Service is slow and we had to ask the server for glasses, spoons and everything one by one. The dishes are tapas style and can be shared with the table. Drinks were ok, bread was fresh and soft. The pomegranate salad turned out to be the best of all. Hummus was good but not the best as I have had better. The goat cheese dish was average, squash chips were cold. We were charged for tap water that was a surprise and I was asked to tip which is a new thing for me in Germany. Overall it is fine but not the best.

I've been there twice and have to say, for all the hype, it's a bit of a mixed bag. There are some dishes, like the goat cheese with onions, the stuffed vine leaves, or the desserts, that are truly phenomenal. Then there are some real letdowns, like the vegetarian kofte, the cauliflower, or the beetroot, which are absolutely not worth the price. Unfortunately, I don't think the restaurant delivers consistent service, so I won't go there anymore. It's a real shame when you first go with friends and have luck with everything, then arrange to meet up with colleagues and have bad luck with almost every dish. It's embarrassing when it comes to recommendations.

It was good but a bit pricey for the service it offers and lacks the hospitality of a Turkish place.

We were really looking forward to this restaurant visit and had high expectations given the mostly positive reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed: high prices for small portions, drinks also too expensive, and the atmosphere was not very relaxed. We felt like we should vacate the table quickly because the next guests were waiting... (we had only been sitting at the table for an hour). The food was tasty, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough for a pleasant evening.

My girlfriend and I visited here for the first time on Wednesday evening. The name always intrigued me, and I'd heard a lot about Osman's Daughters. The team is very friendly and accommodating. Warm but not intrusive, which is the perfect combination for me. The food was good; we had grilled eggplant and kofte. The tea was strong but not too strong :) There are no pictures; we chatted too much and enjoyed the evening too much. To the gentleman who served us: Thank you for your pleasant manner (and the bandage!)

I've been coming regularly to this place since ten years and it seems that the quality slowly decreases. The octopus was always my favourite and it is now lacking the "special touch" that it used to have, with little sauce and a bread quite dry. Quite disappointing for 19 eur. Unfortunately the service was not especially warm and friendly as we could expect for this price range.

Osmans Töchter is by far the best Turkish restaurant, the food is just amazing and authentic. Make sure you taste the dolmadakia, the taramas and aubergine salad together with and their raki! Service was top and the atmosphere really cozy and warm. Highly recommended!

Smooth service and delicious traditional food with pure ingredients and diverse flavors

We had a wonderful evening at Osman's Daughters. The selection of cold and warm meze was varied, finely balanced, and consistently prepared to a high standard. I was particularly impressed by the smoked eggplant with tahini, the goat cheese with caramelized onions, the lentil balls, the crispy anchovies, and the traditional dish "The Imam Fainted." The cherry-stuffed vine leaves were an exciting combination, but they didn't quite suit my taste. The hummus was creamy; next time, however, I would ask for a squeeze of lemon to further emphasize the freshness. The two desserts, "Halva Parfait" and "Osman's Sweet Angel," were real highlights: aromatic, with a pleasantly mild sweetness, and a perfect all-around success. The service was excellent: unfussy, warm, and pleasantly present, without being intrusive. The ambiance: rustic, bright, and inviting, with a charming character. All in all, a great restaurant, a definite recommendation.

Super cute restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg, good selection of vegetarian and vegan options—they could add a few more vegan dishes! The food was delicious, especially the fried pastry rolls and the fava bean puree! The drinks are also delicious, though relatively expensive (€7.50 for a soda...). Especially great in a larger group, so you can try more! Make a reservation, though, as it gets very crowded. :)

A truly fantastic Turkish restaurant – one of the few truly good ones in Berlin! The food was incredibly delicious, simple and authentic without being over the top. It's exactly how I like it: well-seasoned, harmoniously balanced, and served in a comfortable portion. The homemade lemonade is especially recommended – simply delicious! We'd definitely be happy to come back. Absolutely recommended, but please make a reservation, of course.

The food is highly recommended. The main course came shortly after the appetizer. The appetizer plate had to be reused for the main course. The Turkish mocha was excellent. We'll be back.

We followed the waitress's recommendation, and the food was just right. The portions were generous, and we were able to feast on a wide selection of starters and main courses. Nice authentic food, very good service - horribly noisy. Someone next to me repeated a word three times and the other person an arm-length away still didn't understand. Would recommend rugs (kilims) on the walls to aid the acoustics, don't have to be patterned but can be white or cream-coloured to suit the large portion of people who are afraid of colours.

Bursting restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg. Very nice choice of mezze, cold and warm. Fennel salad was also good but missing some oranges in my opinion. Removing 1 star because I didn't like sitting in the draught the whole evening (they had opened a couple of doors at the back for smokers to have access to a small courtyard...).

very nicely furnished little restaurant with small plates of modern middle eastern foods to share among friends and family. the restaurant was deserted when we arrived around 6:30pm, but filled up quickly around an hour later. the service was still quite fast, though. a few more vegetarian options as well as a larger dessert menu would have been great, but everything we had was very tasty.

Even on a cold midweek night this place was packed, and without a reservation there was still room for us in the annex out the back. The food was excellent, came out fast, staff spoke very good English, and had no problems coping with our queries about gluten free food. An excellent start to our first visit to Berlin!

We arrived with a very favorable (perhaps too much) preconception based on the review in the Guide du Routard, which rarely disappoints us. The mezze cuisine, to be shared, is okay, but not great, and the quantities are a bit tight for the price. Nothing serious, in short, but "could do better," as we used to find in the report cards 😉

Hmmm. I was “dragged” here by friends. I thought the food was OK with a few highlights. The dessert was very tasty. (And no, I don't expect a fast food kebab) That's what really bothered me, like other people. The price/quantity ratio. Also with the drinks prices. 5.50 euros for 0.7L of water?!? I would describe the audience as hip.

The food looks like Turkish traditional food but the taste is very different. Too much spice and unbalanced (I was tasting the cumin in the dishes we have ordered). The portions are small, I mean really small. They're similar in size to a Spanish tapas bar but at least twice the price. The atmosphere is nothing special, it is a bit overcrowded and it feels cheap. There are restaurants can be defined as cozy and warm but this was not like that. However the biggest issue was the service they provided. They're rude and definitely not customer friendly. I'm not an entitled person but after charging twice for two dishes for a group of 8 people, when asked for the receipt to correct it they only brought one receipt and it's not possible to bring all receipts as we paid separately. I'm there trying to help them to figure out their mistake and the waiter condescendingly said he can't bring the basic receipt and it is rare that people pay separately (and this is a restaurant in Berlin, Germany). When we asked the manager hoping they'd correct their mistake, he upped the disrespect and said in their system nothing can be wrong (yes I'm lying) and we need to come to the register. In short, yes their system was not fool proof and the waiter actually messed things up and forgot to register one of the payments and charged everything else to the person paid last. Even after their total screw up manager/owner didn't say even a sorry and mumbled something about paying separately and blamed me for being a little stressed and aggressive. Yes I'm going to be a little aggressive when you accuse me of lying. In short don't go there, they're hyped by social media and couldn't scale up and become professionals. The food isn't worth the price and spare yourself from a possibility of ending an enjoyable dinner by ending up stressed and upset.

Great food, especially the halva dessert is the best I've tasted. The halva, which is usually oversweetened, was completely subdued by a fatter mousse, the halva's delicious taste of sesame penetrated nicely, it was topped with pickled blackcurrants on a small crispy base of baklava.

The food was good, the service was a bit lackluster. Reminds me of a canteen, narrow and loud.

I've known the restaurant since it opened. Food is good, many Turkish dishes are in a modified form. What bothers me at the moment is the crampedness, heat and noise in the restaurant. I can really recommend sitting outside. Or the owner needs to expand. Speaks for the restaurant. If you want to go with a larger group, you should definitely make a reservation. Basically, Osman's Daughters is a nice restaurant. The food is good, but not exceptional, price/performance is okay. I can't quite understand the hype. The manti at the Schlesisches Tor, for example, taste at least as good, if not better. The ambience is nice, but the noise level is sometimes quite high. The service is attentive and friendly. The negative thing to note is that you only have a time slot of 2 hours, which is NOT mentioned when making the reservation. You can't sit for a long time, you're asked to walk, so feed yourself and say goodbye. Doesn't work for me at all, therefore only 3 stars overall.

Very nice dinner. Cozy space but comfortable. We listened to the waiter’s suggestions and ordered a bunch of different plates to share. Can’t think of one that people didn’t enjoy. All around success.

Unfortunately, we cannot understand the good reviews. The portions are far too small and the prices are therefore too expensive. In addition, the warm meze were lukewarm and got cold very quickly. We also found that the food lacked that certain something in terms of taste - it was simply bland. Potatoes were cold and old, there was a lot of quark but far too little bread or anything else for dipping. The pieces of meat in the manti seemed to have been placed with the tweezers, into something the size of the head of a pin. We know generosity from Turkish cuisine differently. Water was poured into a fancy looking bottle. The only thing that tasted good were the kofta. Overall, you got far too little for the price. Nice vibe, very friendly service as the only advantage. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, I can't report much euphoria about the experiences we had at dinner here. The stay was ok, you got food, that's it. The dishes had no particular kick and, in my opinion, the warm mezze were rather lukewarm. The table wasn't available at the time we reserved, we had to wait about 10 minutes, which in itself isn't a catastrophe, but they didn't make any effort with us - we more or less stood around in the middle of the restaurant and only when we asked were we given the table.

An absolutely exceptional restaurant! The combination of innovative, Mediterranean and Ottoman cuisine is simply brilliant. I was particularly impressed by Ceviche à la Turca, lamb ragout with figs and halwa parfait - a true feast for the senses! Every bite was a delight. This will be my first stop on my next visit to Berlin. I can't wait to try the other meze!

Well, the food was very good, I have nothing to say about it, but the prices are very high compared to the portions of the food, I paid 100€ for 2 people and I was not satisfied. Also, when you go to a Turkish restaurant, is your only expectation for food? Do the employees take care of you? 0 interest, and there wasn't even one interested person in the restaurant who spoke Turkish, and the person bringing the food couldn't even pronounce it correctly. I won't come again.

The food here is absolutely incredible. We loved the manti, shrimp, lamb and truffle hummus in particular, but it seems like you can't go wrong here. We were very disappointed with the level of service, though. While the waiter who took our order was kind and helpful, the one who came by at the end of the meal was shockingly rude. Two instances in particular stood out. First, we asked to order dessert (around 10pm -- two hours before close) and were informed that the kitchen had closed. When we asked why he hadn't given us the opportunity to order before then, the waiter indignantly said we had been eating. Very odd and disappointing. Second, he offered a bag for our leftovers and several minutes later as we got up to leave hadn't brought one by. When we politely asked if it was possible to have a bag, he rudely informed us they were out. Overall, it felt like the waiter made every interaction unnecessarily unpleasant. In short: go here for the food, but don't expect good service.

It's a great restaurant, with delicious food and excellent service. The only disadvantage is that it's not suitable for having a quiet conversation... The tables are too close together for that.

Super dinner at Osmans Tochter restaurant ! Nice food and super nice guys to serve you

Unfortunately our visit did not live up to expectations. Even when making the reservation there were a few points that left a slightly negative aftertaste. You will be informed in advance that a credit card must be provided, that if you cancel outside of the deadline, €15 per person will be charged and that the tables are occupied twice. Of course, it's good that all of this is communicated transparently, and in a city like Berlin you can understand such measures. Nevertheless, it creates a rather relaxed feeling right from the start - especially if you go out to eat for a higher price and just want to feel comfortable without pressure and time limits. The portions are extremely small and are disproportionate to the high prices. Turkish cuisine is actually known for its generosity - here the opposite was the case. A dollop on your plate just isn't enough, especially if you come hungry. A small flatbread was included for free, but since meze are traditionally eaten with a lot of bread, you could have been more generous here - especially if you're dining for two. So of course we reordered here several times. I am German with Turkish roots and I am aware that many Turkish dishes are very time-consuming to prepare - like the main course 'İçli Köfte', which we ordered to share. But I found paying €12 for two rather narrow İçli Köfte to be overly expensive. Especially since I know the purchase price of the ingredients for it. Another questionable detail: we ordered still water to share, but only received one glass. After we kindly reminded the waiter, he divided it into two small glasses - tap water, mind you, for which we were charged €1.50. If it had been at least a carafe of tap water, I would have been okay with the €1.50. For the price and the concept, we would have liked much more hospitality and generosity, what a shame! I was hoping for a new local bar. We won't be coming back.

It's a place with a wonderful atmosphere, it even has a risk, and the appetizers are amazing. I definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with the service, even by Berlin standards: unmotivated, inattentive (one in particular was completely incompetent), rude and arrogant. We spent around €150 for 5 people

It is very practical to make a reservation on the website and change the reservation later. The environment is very nice and the staff is very friendly. I took my guest and they were very polite. The food is a little expensive, but some of the dishes are very oily rather than the price. Especially the crispy zucchini was so oily I couldn't finish it. But overall I was satisfied and would like to come again. With the advice to pay attention to the fat content🙏🏻

A restaurant that looks inconspicuous from the outside, but is very good in all respects. Although it was well attended, everything went very calmly and without any hectic pace. A very well-coordinated team.

We had a very bad experience there, unfriendly service and we had the feeling to be treated badly just because we didn’t spend as much money as other tables perhaps (even though it was still 25 per person) or I don’t know for which reason. Tap water was refused by one waiter, even though the next one gave us tap water and the other tables received it as well. I cannot recommend this place and I will not come back.

The food is absolutely wonderful, the staff is very nice. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the noise level in the restaurant. Not sure what is up with the acoustics there but even when there were no guests but us and one other table it was so incredibly loud in there I couldn't hear myself think. I will definitely come back, but only in summer when I can sit outside 😅

Loved this place! Such amazing food, lovely low-lit vibes and the customer service was outstanding.

We were at a team event. (Menu, drinks flat rate plus service fee?) Chairs were way too close. You could only eat with one hand + you had to have someone open the food for you. I found it much too dark there. When you try new things, I also like to see what I eat. The desserts were amazing and the bottles of white wine were very good. After 3 hours there was the possibility of extending the event for €10 per person (our bottles we had paid for had not yet been drunk), but instead we were asked to leave as the table had been reserved again for other guests. 😲 That's not possible. The predetermined tip is not ok at all! So the nice atmosphere was over 😖

A so-called scene restaurant. Spent 2.5 hours there. The volume reached a maximum of 94 dB (due to the guests present). The menu didn't make sense to us. Cold dishes, warm dishes. Everything should be ordered at once. Otherwise you'll be full. The crispy sprats I ordered came after 30 minutes and were quite large and dry. We would eat something like that. Take it with you on your next visit.

The restaurant is busy, you should go to Mglk. reserve in advance. The offer includes many different warm and cold mezzes. It is recommended to order 2 mezzes/person. The portions are nicely prepared, but very small. You get one mini flatbread, if you want more, you'll have to pay €2.2 each. A glass of wine costs around €8. Highly recommended for a nice, perhaps special evening. Service and ambience are good. Overall, however, the prices are too high for someone to “come by every now and then”.

A touch of Istanbul in Prenzlauer Berg In the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, the restaurant Osman's Daughters offers a culinary short trip to Turkey. If you want to stop by in the evening, you should definitely make a reservation, as the restaurant is busy and the tables are close together. This creates a sociable atmosphere, but it can also get louder at times. Osman's Daughters is priced in the middle segment and offers a variety of “mezes” that are divided into cold and warm dishes. We chose various meze highlights such as goat cheese for around 10 euros, crispy zucchini chips for 8.50 euros, fried sardines for 13.50 euros and manti, filled dumplings with beef, for 15 euros. The portion sizes were manageable but sufficient, and we recommend two dishes per person. With two glasses of wine per person, the two of us came to around 90 euros, which doesn't make the restaurant cheap, but seemed reasonable for the quality and experience. The service was consistently attentive and friendly, which further enriched the evening. However, we had the feeling that the prices were slightly high compared to the portion size. Anyone who values ​​a relaxed, lively atmosphere and enjoys fine Turkish meze will feel at home at Osman's Daughters.

What was annoying was the (filtered) tap water (which was not sold cheaply as still water), there was space right at the door and therefore full on the train (although I had to hang up my jacket immediately because of the possibility of passage), but the service was very friendly somewhat forgetful. Overall, it was clearly too tight and I felt pretty ripped off as a guest (with a voucher).
