Döner Kebab Restaurant TERAS Berlin in Berlin

Today we went to eat döner. The person in the picture charged 38 euros to a bill that was 23 euros. When we said there was a mistake, he asked the other employee next to him if there was a mistake and said 23 euros was okay. If we hadn't told him, he would have charged 38 euros and ripped us off. He didn't even apologize and continued to smirk and act disrespectfully. The employees are sullen, always talking about customers behind their backs. We didn't like his döner either.

They made the food really delicious, the restaurant looked beautiful and very clean, and the staff were friendly. I would definitely go there again.

I don’t understand why you have in description all methods of payment,including by card, if only cash is accepted on site

I haven't been there in a while and I feel the quality has declined significantly. The Turkish pizza was barely edible – it seemed like the only vegetables were red cabbage and onions (even though I ordered it without onions). The rest was a rather soggy mess. The fries were good, though – that's why I'm giving it a second star.

Good, typical Berlin kebab, served quickly and with great flavor. The place does the job without any fuss, and the staff is efficient. The only slight downside: they only take cash, but there's an ATM about a 4-minute walk away. Overall, a good place for a quick and tasty meal.

I went to Teras Restaurant in Berlin to eat a doner kebab. The doner was okay, but overall I was rather dissatisfied. The waiters seemed odd, spoke broken German, and weren't very friendly. They don't accept credit cards, and I didn't receive a receipt, which is very unprofessional. The restaurant was cold inside; there was no proper heating. Furthermore, they advertise "Free Wi-Fi" on the windows, but the Wi-Fi didn't work at all. The owner really should be on-site, monitoring the situation, and urgently addressing these issues. Currently, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Highly recommended. I had a super delicious dürüm. I asked if it would be possible to have a little more chili on it, which was done immediately with a smile. It was the perfect amount and tasted absolutely fantastic.

Delicious kebab and friendly service. Certainly one of the best in the city center. If you want a traditional Berlin kebab, this is the place to go. It's Mrs. Merkel's favorite, as evidenced by the numerous photos with the former chancellor on the wall.

Honestly, one of the best doner kebabs I've had in a long time. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the bread toasted to perfection, and the sauce was just right – not too much, not too little. Despite the late hour, everything was fresh and tasted fantastic. Highly recommended!

Overall, the doner kebab was tasty. It could have used more sauce, otherwise it was a bit dry. And doner definitely needs to be hot; I took a bite within two minutes and even the meat was cold. So, change those two points and it will be 5 stars.

A delicious döner for a great price. The guys behind the counter are very helpful, work quickly, and are friendly and funny. Inside, there are lots of photos and newspaper clippings on the wall, a positive sign of a popular place. Apparently, it can get busy, but on a Thursday evening around 6:30 PM, it wasn't too bad. Fantastic!!

The best doner kebab I've ever eaten. I'm not usually a doner fan, but this dürüm doner kebab won me over! Very fresh ingredients – even fresh herbs! Not too much sauce, not too much garlic, but still very flavorful. The staff was very friendly and genuine. The atmosphere was pleasant; it's a place you'd happily sit down to. During my visit to Berlin, I decided to try this kebab shop, as I had heard it was supposedly one of the best in the city. I visited on Saturday, November 1, 2025, and my first impression was quite positive. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful when it came to choosing what to order. We paid in cash, and the food arrived very quickly — within just a few minutes, we were already eating. At first glance, the kebab looked great. The portion was generous, and the bread was fresh and tasty — the kind that perfectly fits this type of meal. Unfortunately, my excitement faded after the first few bites. The meat was quite dry, as if it had been spinning on the grill for too many hours, losing all its juiciness and flavor. There was also very little sauce, so most bites consisted only of dry bread and dry meat. The amount of vegetables was disappointing too — just a small handful of cabbage, barely noticeable. Overall, the kebab tasted unbalanced and rather plain. Given the reputation of this place, I would honestly rate it as average at best, maybe even below average. The negative impression continued when I visited the restroom. The smell of urine was immediately noticeable, the floor was dirty with visible puddles, and there was no soap at the sink. For a restaurant serving food, that’s a serious hygiene issue. Summary: While the staff were friendly and the service fast, the food quality and hygiene standards left a lot to be desired. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. If you’re looking for a truly good kebab in Berlin, I’d recommend trying somewhere else.

Heard about TERAS Döner Kebab from my college roommate, and I’m glad we finally made the stop. This place did not disappoint! The meat was thinly sliced, full of rich flavor, and made the meal perfectly hearty. The service was quick, and everything tasted fresh. Definitely looking forward to stopping here again on our next visit.

Having eaten Ankara döner, Istanbul döner, and other meat döner dishes in various places, I've even tried the Berlin döner, having tried it in Belgium and the Netherlands. Unfortunately, the meat döner is made of ground meat and feels like rubber. Sorry, the kebabs are fine, but döner is what you get in your country. So, no need to exaggerate; I've had it in other European countries as well. Unfortunately, it can't compare to Ankara döner. And it's unnecessarily expensive.

This is the best doner kebab I've ever had. It's huge and has a lot of meat and vegetables inside. The staff is also very pleasant.

If someone likes this "kebab," they should think twice about their taste buds, because it tastes worse than the most disgusting kebab in Poland. The meat is spongy, has a very strange taste, and the salads are partly fresh, partly you can detect an aftertaste of old age. And of course, if you don't look carefully, they won't even give you the right change.

Good kebap, hamburger is just nothing special

I don't understand the rating. I'm starting to believe the Trip Advisor reviews that say the comments are filtered... Unpleasant and rushed staff, cheeky, and very eager to get rid of you. The kebab is average, but the sauce is awful! Way too sweet... It's normal, it's completely industrial. You can find the exact same thing at Aldi. Kebab sauce... It's exactly this sauce! Which makes the kebab sweet and chemical. Too bad! The front of the shop was tempting! For the French... They're much better here, without hesitation!!!

It was decent but not amazing, sadly. I was looking for a great doner kebab and this place was extremely well rated, but that being said the food was good not great. I think the biggest issue was that the bread was just too thick which just drowned out all the other flavors. The fries were also just decent, not amazing, not bad. I think there are much better doner kebab spots but this one strongly benefits from it's location in Berlin

I had an amazing experience at TERAS Döner Kebab! Honestly, it’s one of the best kebabs I’ve ever had. The meat was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, while the fresh vegetables and sauces complemented it beautifully. Was visiting Berlin for a conference. I do not speak German the staff at this restaurant, at least the ones taking your orders. Do speak and understand English, which is nice and very helpful. It helps to have a conversation without that language barrier, so I greatly appreciate that. There’s something for everyone to eat here. There’s burgers, Doner kebabs, french fries, pizza, sandwiches. They have an outdoor seating area and it’s on a corner so there is street noise but it’s not bothersome. The servers and the cooks were very nice and attentive, lovely staff. We ordered burgers fries, Doner kebabs, soft drinks, and afterwards had a cappuccino and an espresso. Used tap to pay to pay for the meals. All were tasty and there was not too much of a wait and the food was very fresh. Definitely recommend for a quick bite or even a full on meal.

Don't compare it with Turkish doner. It's the first time I've eaten German doner. It's not like ours, it has lots of ingredients, but it's good and edible.

Overall, a good (not world-class) doner kebab, currently priced at €7.50 (card payments start at €8.50). Unfortunately, there was only one type of meat available on the doner kebab skewer. Ordering and pickup is only possible directly at the cash register. The outdoor area is located directly at the intersection of two busy streets.

This is a famous Doner restaurant. The highlight of this Doner is that the bread, which may seem thick and unappetizing on the outside, is actually incredibly rich and crunchy. Even the bottom, soaked in sauce, remains crispy until the last bite. It was a favorite of former Chancellor Angela Merkel, as several photos of Merkel and the owner hang on the walls.

I ordered two large doner kebabs, with far too little meat and salad, let alone the sauce (if they even put any sauce on it). Even though I asked for extra meat, I'm used to larger portions. To me, it was more like a mini doner with a bit more meat. I don't think it's reasonable to charge €9, especially since the salad in the doner didn't look very appetizing. In summary: little meat, almost no sauce, and the quality is also not up to scratch, as is the price. I won't be going back to that kebab shop!

I had a Doner Kebab (€7.50). The line was moving, and they were very efficient. The flavor was very good, the portions generous. The sauce was very good. Other kebabs in Berlin add potatoes and peppers to the grilled meat, but not here. A good place for a quick lunch. There are also tables for dining in.

After being very disappointed the first time (the meat was cold), I gave it another try today. However, it's still a mystery to me how it was voted the best kebab in Berlin. Even warm, the meat wasn't great, nor was the bread and salad.

Nothing special about food, sneaking tip without even disclosing for single person table, not a big deal but at the least let customer know or ask about what % they want to tip and this is for the service where you have to flag them multiple times to get the bill

Friendly servers, fast lines, good food. We came at about 10 and there were abt 5-8 groups in the restaurant. Ample seating spaces. Quick and efficient service.

TERAS Döner Kebab – Berlin Clean and delicious food with excellent late-night service. The staff are wonderful, and the food is always served with genuine kindness. Highly recommended!

Place is lowk cosy for a kebab place. Man at the cashier was very friendly and helpful. Got the Dürüm Menü, it’s like an 8/10 relatively compared to the average shawerma/gyro imo. Sandwich is stuffed full. The lamb is the most prominent flavor in the sandwich, but at the same time it doesn’t feel basic or bland. Pickled onion adds a really subtle but wonderful touch to it. Fries were a 6/10, but they weren’t bad, just very average/ok. Overall it’s honestly a vibe of a meal and pretty good for the price you’re paying. I’m giving it 5 stars purely because that dürüm made me feel good on the inside after a long, long day. Will 100% be visiting again multiple times!!!
