Delicious doner kebab, but expensive. Also, the distribution of meat, sauce, and salad on the bread isn't good.

Unfortunately, the meat was very dry and there was very little salad in the doner kebab. Overall, rather disappointing.

Lots of kebabs, meat, and vegetarian dishes. Friendly and fast staff. Reasonable prices. They don't serve alcohol, but they do have a nice tea to finish. Excellent restaurant.

Worst döner ever!!! The "flatbread" for the dürüm is a supermarket wrap. Meat/falafel, salad, cabbage, disgusting sauce. Never again. Even with alcohol, it's awful!!

The first thing you notice are the three enormous skewers, which always look fantastic. The quality of the meat is very good, and the dürüm was very generously filled. The sandwich bread was okay, but nothing special. Visually, the plates of the guests eating in looked particularly appealing and appetizing.

It was really bad. The meat was small, like minced meat, and completely dry. The dürüm bread tasted like something from Aldi and was also very dry and mealy. I couldn't finish it because my mouth was so dry. The prices were okay, but that doesn't make it worthwhile.

Extremely unfriendly, unpleasant, slow employees waited 20 minutes for a kebab and there were no customers in the shop. They only heard them talking to an older lady in an extremely rude manner because she spoke unclearly/quietly or wanted to order. The employee seemed to be very tired with extremely red eyes or he had a pull over. Don't come here anymore.

Perfect for a quick dinner! To our surprise, they offer bread and two dips, and we were offered tea several times after our meal. The service was super friendly. Everything was great!

Unfortunately, the kebab wasn't very convincing. The bread fell apart, and the sauces weren't particularly convincing either.

The food was fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, too, as the portions are large and filling. If I ever go to Cologne, this is definitely one of the places I'll visit.

We went for dinner on August 9th. The food was delicious. We ordered Adana and Kuşbaşı Pide. The Adana arrived just as we wanted and was good. The Pide looked very nice, but the chef had overcooked it a bit and the bottom was burnt. The young waiter politely apologized and replaced it with something else we ordered. The chef at the stove brought a new one and apologized. He was very polite and nice. It could have been a momentary distraction that caused it to burn, but the sincerity and approach were very important, and they did it with great care. I would like to thank the young waiter and the chef at the stove. However, there was another employee on the bill. He was acting like he was serving, going from front to back as if he was serving. He didn't touch anything, didn't pick up an empty plate, didn't wipe the table. His current position was like a waiter, maybe he could have been the owner, but his demeanor was not good at all. Our plates were empty. We waited at the table for 10 minutes, and 10 times he passed by empty plates, but it never occurred to him to take them. The young guy was running all these errands. It seems like it's an old place, but the cleaning is a bit lacking, the reason is obvious. If the white-haired service staff worked a little harder, everywhere would be cleaner, for example, the olive oil and vinegar bottles on the table are awful/dirty.

The waiter is a 10/10. So sweet and kind🥰

A clean and generously portioned restaurant where you can find delicious Turkish food in Cologne. The white-haired waiter, in particular, deserves 5 stars for his attentiveness, hospitality, and engaging conversation.

It was okay. If you like meat, it's amazing. I'm a fan of salad and tasty meat combined. Unfortunately, the bottom dish was all meat. The chicken was so-so. Oh well, you can handle it; it won't give you food poisoning, but it won't be a real treat either.

The three Jehovah's Witnesses thank you for kindly allowing them to use the restroom. Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the delicious-looking food due to time constraints, but the cold water from the refrigerator is highly recommended. Thank you so much!

We were there after Rose Monday. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. Firstly, the prices were probably raised for Carnival. You could tell because they were working more poorly than well with tape and permanent marker. Oh well, what the heck, it's Carnival and everyone should make a profit. They worked quickly to ensure the turnover was right. That meant nothing was heated; the meat was already lying there and was therefore cold. With some salad, cabbage, and sauce, the price came to 8 euros. The kebab wasn't worth 2 euros. It's a shame.

This was by far the worst thing my family and I have ever eaten. My son threw up several times... The rest of the family is struggling with themselves and the toilet on vacation...wow, I don't understand all these positive reviews here. This restaurant should get 0 stars.

The prizes are rolled I got a Dürüm that cost a total of eight euros (with cheese and jalapeño). A week later the same thing was ten euros with the reason that the cheese and jalapeños each cost €0.80 extra. How you get to ten euros couldn't be explained to me even when I asked.

The food was tasty. It’s just a shame that when you come here to eat at night, they assume everyone is drunk and don’t charge correctly. Unfortunately, they charged €57.50 for 3 durum döner with a bit of fries inside and 3 soups. Way too expensive! This shouldn’t cost more than €30.

Unfortunately disappointing Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was not convincing. The chicken dürüm was of poor quality - the pieces of meat were far too large, tough and not cooked properly, even pink on the inside. The sauce was simply poured on top in large quantities so that the entire dürüm was soggy. The salad portion was minimal and of poor quality. The fries also seemed pre-fried and were correspondingly soggy. Unfortunately there is little to highlight positively - apart from the fact that the mayonnaise was tasty. While the staff was friendly, the overall experience was disappointing and I would like to see a significant improvement in the food quality.

First of all, the Iskender I ate at this restaurant, which I went to based on recommendations and comments, was terrible. Also, I didn't like it and told Adana about it, I think it was done on purpose, it was incredibly salty. I asked for tea and I received a dirty glass. If we say something to you, the waiters walk away without listening. A waste of money, neither taste nor service..

Doner kebab consisted only of bread, meat, cabbage and sauce. No tomato, cucumber or 'love'. Get more money than usual due to carnival. Eating on site is not allowed because the purchase value is too low. Next time another store.

The fries were not fresh, most likely pre-fried and stored somewhere. This meant they were correspondingly dry. The falafel were also very dry and the prices were way too high. Apart from the fact that it's cheeky to increase the prices for the carnival season, five euros for a portion of fries with ketchup that taste so bad... no go! In addition, there was only seating for those who ordered the plates that cost over €20, although there were also tables in the front area that were stacked on top of each other. A few places could definitely have been offered for those who eat fries, kebabs or falafel. But the fries were so incredibly dry and... I can't find the words. Maybe the operators are simply still in learning mode. Did I mention that the fries and falafel were terribly dry?

I had a mixed meat kebab. So I can't say anything about other dishes, except that most of them looked very tasty. Unfortunately, meat was 2/5, veal was a sticky mass and chicken was mushy Amount at 7€ but really 5/5 Bread 4.5/5, really delicious Salad 3/5, a bit little, otherwise average Sauce also too little and not well distributed 2.5/5 Service short but fast 4/5 Overall it's ok, if you're hungry, but there are actually better alternatives in the area.

On 17.10.2024, I went in to have dinner with my son and left with my hands shaking. I ordered wings for my son and alinazik for myself. Less than 2 minutes after the food arrived, I saw a huge hair on my plate. I called the waiter and showed him my fork and asked if he could please change my plate. I was ashamed and didn't mention it to other customers. What happened? What's there? He started to raise his voice because he couldn't see. I said there is hair, what don't you see? Maybe you threw it, he said directly? I am 40 years old and I have never encountered such treatment in my life. He talked non-stop, saying, "You screwed me over so you don't have to pay the bill." Finally, he blew me up. Sir, the owner of the place, please do not employ people who do not like their job. Your employee cannot treat anyone this way. You cannot put everyone in the same category for the problems you face as a tradesman, we take care of the food we eat, hygiene and good manners. With all my kindness, everything is for people, it shouldn't be, but it happened, but I still didn't get beaten by your waiter, even though I asked him to change my plate. Now, your other employees who do their job properly or you, the business owner, are all evaluated in the same light. "If I had said, "I ate the food and there was a hair on it, I don't want to remove it," yes, he might have doubted it, but he wouldn't have been able to exhibit that attitude again. Last week my family and I had an unforgettable dining experience at Lalezar Turkish Restaurant. I've tried Turkish food in many places in Germany, but the lamb skewer I had here was by far the best. The meat was incredibly tender, flavorful and grilled to perfection. Before the main course, delicious Turkish meze was served along with warm, fresh bread, which was a nice touch from the start. The service was also excellent, especially Ali Bey, who made the evening even better for us with his warm and friendly manner. He was both attentive and quick, and his humorous comments created a pleasant atmosphere. Every detail is taken care of in this restaurant, making you feel at home. The food, atmosphere and service all deserve five stars. If you are looking for a true Turkish cuisine experience, Lalezar Turkish Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back!

It was our first family trip to Cologne and our first visit to Lalezar. I found this location on Google Maps prior to the trip. By luck our hotel was nearby so we could just walk to our dinner location. The restaurant is located quite centrally in the southern old town of Cologne. The interior is pretty big and spacious. The first thing that you notice is the authentic smell from the charcoal grill. The staff welcomed us friendly and took care of our wishes during the whole evening. I also got food recommendations which were spot on. We had lentil soup, a pide with cheese, some grilled köfte and lamb skewers along with some salads and mezes. The amount of food was too much of course. But it's typical Turkish hospitality. The taste of the food was outstanding and the meat was really tender. The soup was delicious and served as a large portion. We loved to listen to the nostalgic 90 Turkish songs and later to the traditional songs. The restaurant has an accessibility friendly entrance however I do not know how the wash room doors are. Would I visit this place again? Definitely yes. If you like food from various parts in Turkey, I strongly recommend this place.

We used to order here more often and really enjoyed it - the food was always very tasty. Something has changed in the last few weeks. The meat has bits of cartilage/bone in it, the salad doesn't have any dressing like it used to and the yogurt dip tastes kind of old. For the price, everything is a no-go. Unfortunately we will no longer be ordering here.

Such a nice and courteous staff, delicious food, quick and well prepared, everything can be observed and is fresh. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness towards our kids...always happy.

Hello, For the first time with family in the restaurant since the change of ownership. Visually very appealing. Table stuck. Disgusting! Cards were brought, sticky! Disgusting. Menus were very minimalistic. Taste mediocre. When the children received packaged ketchup and it had mold stains on the outside... We paid and left the restaurant immediately.,,., Never again. Just disgusting. Hygiene standards poor...

I have eaten there several times and have been satisfied overall each time. I recently had dinner there with my husband and everything was good, quick and tasty. The only negative thing we noticed was a loud argument between two employees. Things calmed down quickly, but only because colleagues intervened. Southern temperament is one thing... But unfortunately it's not possible in front of customers who pay money to eat in peace. We will still come back 😌

Food poisoning from bulgur I'll never come here again

My aubergine köfte wasn’t nice at all. The aubergine was still hard and the köfte , ( minced meat) was raw , even after sending it back to get cooked a bit more it still came back raw. I could not eat it. My ayran , ( yogurt drink) had no froth which it was meant to have as I had ordered the original version, the froth is the tradition. After I complained I was only told that I shouldn’t order that dish next time I come. What a joke. I will never go there again.

It was okay, cleanliness could be better, plastic menu cards could be wiped down every day without much effort.

My wife and I visited this restaurant because we love Turkish food, but unfortunately the waiter made our date so complicated and stressful that it ruined the entire atmosphere. For us the most important thing is the atmosphere and it made everything else seem rude and unfriendly. For us this is the worst Turkish restaurant we have ever been to. We arrived and really liked the vibes of the place and were very excited about the food. The waiter brought us two types of spreads and warm bread, and we were initially thrilled because everything looked so delicious. Then he came to us, we ordered and he took the bread away again and left only the sauces, which was very rude to us. He also told us to go to the checkout to order and pay. After this experience we no longer had any appetite. I told the waiter that I wanted to take my food to go, but my wife wanted to eat there since we had already ordered drinks. While she was eating, the waiter looked at us very unfriendly, as if we had done something wrong. The food wasn't particularly good either, or maybe it was because of the strange atmosphere. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and we definitely won't be returning.

No love for the product… Last night we got a kebab with veal, unfortunately it wasn't good. Cartilage and bones in the meat… hardly any sauce in the kebab and the bread was half grilled so that it fell apart halfway through the kebab. For €7.80 I expected something different from a shop that advertises its charcoal grill... A pity

I always visit Turkish restaurants with my Kurdish colleague during seminars because we like to avoid hotel meals. I can only recommend Lalezar's, but you have to be hungry, the portions are not small. Doner is not Turkish, but Lalezar!

Ate very tasty kofta... the garlic yoghurt was also very successful. Köfte fresh from the grill with a successful salad and bulgur.. All highly recommended!!!

The best waiter there is Ali Hikmet, always a friendly smile and service is simply perfect, he knows his job, keep it up. So everyone come eat here, have good service from him and don't come away with empty margins.

It used to be one of the best kebab shops in Cologne. What is being served today is a real meat mixture that you wouldn't serve to a dog. Very disappointing development.

The world is generally a better place after a meal at Lalezar. I like to come here to treat myself to a little break from everyday life. I love the mixed house dishes that vary every time. Add the fluffy flatbread, homemade ayran and finally a Turkish tea and I'm happy. Sometimes it's just the little things that make life more beautiful. ❤️
