Haus des Döners in Köln

The falafel was bitter. I think it was not fresh or something was wrong with it! Very bad! It is half an hour after eating one bite of their falafel sandwich and still feeling wired taste in my mouth. It was rotten.

Today we ordered from here for the first time via Uber Eats. The order arrived quickly. The kebab was okay. The falafel on the plate was a bit dry, which I don't think is a big deal. But unfortunately, one of the four falafel pieces was spoiled! My boyfriend took a bite and immediately spat it out. The smell test confirmed that the falafel was no longer good...after that, he lost his appetite.

Low number of visitors and therefore not fresh food, the cabbage in the kebab was dried out and ayran was watery

After using the toilet you should wash your hands before you pick up the bread. I had endless diarrhea. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and it's best to pay attention to change. It's a scam. The health department will be informed immediately!!!! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and it's very dirty behind the counter. It's best to check it out yourself. Be careful, I rarely leave comments but that's inhumane. The main thing is that the money is collected!!!

Good bread, fresh salad but the kebab meat was only semi-good

Wow. A real experience. Order a Big Dürüm - get a sad, cold roll that would pass for half a portion at most in other branches. The meat? Ice cold. Almost refreshing. And the staff? Absolutely focused – not on the customers, but on their private conversations. If you want to feel ignored, this is the place to be. Definitely not for people with hunger or expectations.

Unfortunately I have to take back my 5 star rating; as much as I used to love your kebab. How can you deteriorate so much? The last 3 times were bad. Delivered food is always ice cold. The meat only tastes salty, oily and often contains pieces of cartilage. The fries are always soggy and really not of good quality. I order a kebab with yogurt, with cheese, without onions and get without yogurt, without cheese and a whole onion. I had to do everything myself at home. Employees handle money and then prepare food. People eat in front of the customer at the checkout so that everything drips down their faces. Then they wipe their faces with their hands and then use their unwashed hands to make the customer's kebab. I observed an employee smoking and then going straight to the counter without washing his hands and then preparing food. That doesn't work at all! Unfortunately it's now too unhygienic for me. There would have to be separate employees for preparation and checkout. There are more bacteria and viruses on money than on a toilet seat. And I don't want leftover food from an employee's face in my food. Hand washing is completely neglected. Prices are getting higher and quality and hygiene are getting worse. Unfortunately I'm out as a regular customer.

The food was amazing, it’s very delicious and there’s nothing like this from where I come from. The staff are incredibly kind and they’re very accommodating. I’ll definitely keep coming here, 10/10 I recommended this place to you!

I had a kebab with veal and it was very tasty. The workers are nice and friendly. The ambience also appeals to you. I can only recommend it.

Anyone who orders a kebab here on this street (where there are so many alternatives and very good kebabs) unfortunately has no idea about kebabs. And on top of that, they're totally off the charts. They will never see me as a customer and unfortunately I cannot recommend them. 1 star is still too much, unfortunately 0 stars is not possible.

I ordered currywurst, the colleague fried a sausage in the deep fryer until it was unrecognizable ("I'll do it for you with extra love") and then didn't put any sauce on it 🤯 Of course I go back and ask where the sauce is, the guy says "most people don't want sauce" 😂 that's crazy haha ​​I've never experienced anything so cheeky, get on with your life

The guys taking my order were rude and just plain mean. I was looking at the menu for a couple minutes trying to decipher the German and one of the guys yelled at me to just make a decision! There was no one else in the store except me. And the whole time he’s making the doner he’s ogling any girl that walks bye and making snide comments to his friend. Just an unpleasant experience all around. Recommend you try any other doner spot if that’s what you’re looking for.

My bf ordered our food, then walked to where the drinks were and the two guys said something to each other turned towards my bf direction and started laughing… not knowing I was paying attention… so, the picture is the food and the guys… food is ok. Definitely do not recommend… and if you’re a part of the 🏳️‍🌈 community… don’t give them your money. We were originally going to sit any eat there… but why eat and feel uncomfortable? …this was our experience… if this review reaches anyone else in the community… that’s why I’m writing this! Do not go!

Very nice boss and very good kebab.

I don't feel like I'm taken seriously as a customer here. The salad tasted like the display case in which it was displayed all day, no dressing, no sauce, nothing on it. The ordering instructions were ignored, a kebab plate was wrong. The fries were served under the salad with the same kebab plate. Furthermore, everything was so cold that I questioned whether the food had even experienced any heat.

Super nice and friendly employee, you can tell he enjoys his job. The kebab looked great and tasted just the same. Always happy again.

The employee was completely off track. Put fake meat in it and after I asked him about it he made a fool of me. The kebab was then prepared with hatred. I just threw the kebab down and packaged it so badly that everything fell out. I would never recommend it. My visit was on November 19th, 2024 at 7 p.m. Either the owners will do what is necessary or I will never buy a kebab there again.

After a long time, I ordered a kebab again with extremely nice service... and it was 100% worth it. The kebab was excellently prepared! Vegetables so fresh, you think they come from your own garden. The bread is sauce-proof (unfortunately the picture of my partner's kebab is not included in the description)! That means at When you eat, the sauce doesn't end up dripping out onto your hands. And the most important thing, of course. The price of €10.99 is totally justified, if not asking too little for top service and top kebab. It's a shame that you can only give 5 stars, it actually deserves 6!

First Döner place in my life which charged me 1€ for each kebab sauce extra. They knew it, I knew it. Never again.

Sadly, pommes cold, salat in the Falafel Teller is really small. Falafel is quite all right. I didn’t know that you have to pay extra for getting the Soße on the side. Im very sad to get to know that just because i can’t eat the artificial product and don’t want them on my plate, i must pay extra money.

I was in this location to break my fast. We were asked to order the food 20 minutes before breaking our fast. Although we noted that we wanted the food warm, it was served 20 minutes beforehand even though the place was empty. One employee (with a hat) was nice and courteous, but the other one with a pigtail, who apparently had something to say, was the epitome of customer unfriendliness. No recommendation. Never again. Except for the measly portion of a 14€ kebab plate.

The presentation to the customer is terrible, what they say and what they do do not match, it is very disrespectful.

I am really disappointed . The bread was soggy, had hardly any sauce, and unfortunately no gloves were used. Two strangers touched my bread with their bare hands - that was really unpleasant. A pity!

So the standard is probably different in every branch, just because Weidengasse has a lot of stalls you don't have to treat customers as if you don't need it, plus the fact that the shop was empty when you entered and yet all the tables were dirty. What I still don't understand is why don't they have the delicious sauce like in the city center? In the future I will have many other shops on Weidengasse!!!!

Grad das erste Mal bei Haus des Döners in wer Weidengasse gewesen - kann man sich sparen! Der Mitarbeiter (Mitte 20, lange lockige Haare, paar Kilos zu viel drauf und kein Bock auf seine Arbeit) hört nicht genau zu und will auf ein Veggie Döner Kalbfleisch packen. "Kalb und kein" kann man missverstehen. Danach den Döner aber so scharf machen, dass er ungenießbar ist und sich arrogant zu geben, das sind Entscheidungen. Und dafür zahlt man 4,30€. Nie wieder Haus des Döners, nebenan gibt's ja genug gute Konkurrenz zB Doy Doy mit Top Service

Der Dürüm mitsamt Käse und Peperoni kostet 8,50, was für die überschaubare Größe etwas teuer ist. Geschmacklich ist er jedoch top. Die scharfe Sauce ist im Vergleich zu seinen Namensvettern anderer Läden tatsächlich pikant.

Ich möchte mich vorsichtig ausdrücken aber auch ehrlich sein dieser Döner war Ekelhaft bitte hört auf die Leute so zu blenden genau so schlimm wie Mangal. Wir waren mit 6 Leuten dar niemand hat sein Döner aufgegessen danach sind wir nebenan und haben cigköfte gegessen. Echt schade für das Geld

Ich fand den kollegen etwas unfreundlich und zu wenig belag meiner meinung nach. In rechnung bekam ich für Getränke die keinen pfand label haben nochmal pfand drauf man fühlt sich schon verarscht.

Der Geruch und die Sauberkeit waren mangelhaft. Personal unfreundlich. Für den döner was wir dort bekommen haben sind die Preise zu zu hoch.

Gestern Abend dort einen leckeren Döner gegessen. Die scharfe Soße ist der Hammer! Macht weiter so!

Etwas was mir hier am meisten gefallen hat ist definitiv die scharfe Soße. Ich habe schon viele Döner gegessen und immer mit scharfer Soße aber keine war so scharf wie die hier. Ganz klare Empfehlung. Aber bitte mit Vorsicht genießen. Wenn man die auf beide Seiten schmieren läßt, dann geht die Post ab. Ich bin durchaus jemand der viel und sehr gene scharf isst und kann deshalb durchaus zwischen bisschen scharf und sehr scharf unterscheiden. Die Pommes, die ich gegessen habe, sind eher Standard. Das Team ist sehr nett und schnell. Das Ambiente ist nicht so besonders. Für mich ein bisschen dunkel. Deshalb nur drei Sterne fürs Ambiente.

Essen an sich war lecker aber für den Preis viel zu kleine Portionen. Kenne das von anderen Dönerläden anders.
