Always a pleasure. The chef knows what he is doing and the service staff is very accommodating. Our favorite thing to eat is the kimchi, you can tell that it is homemade. Just like the sushi.

War sehr lecker. Mussten zwar 1 Stunde auf das Essen warten. Aber hat sich gelohnt. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Kommen nochmal wieder👍🏼

The Osaka Sushi was a shot in the dark for me. All I can say is it was a direct hit. I had edamame as a starter and the summer special for the main course, which consisted of mango salmon uramaki, avocado maki and oshinoko maki. The edamame were a bit salty but exactly to my taste. All sushi was very well crafted, well presented and the proportions of the components were harmonious. The salmon was great, fresh and tasty. Ginger and wasabi aromatic, the ginger fresh. The ambience is very good for a Japanese restaurant in the Ruhr area. You can see that the owner wants to keep it original Japanese but in my opinion can take a lot more risk. For me, Osaka Sushi is an absolute recommendation. Based on a recommendation, I asked for a baked Futo Maki. This is also an absolute pleasure.

A good sushi shop in itself if it weren't for the fact that the Maguro sashimi tasted stringy, old and inferior for the second time and was therefore basically inedible. After eating one or two pieces, we threw them in the trash can, also out of caution not to upset our stomachs When I made my first complaint, the service staff only shrugged their shoulders at it; when I made my second complaint, I literally had to beg for a replacement next time - we go there at least 2-3 times a month and take goods away from home . After a long discussion between the service staff and the kitchen, I was graciously offered half a portion of Maguro Sashimi next time. It couldn't be more small-minded - especially for regular customers, we leave around €600.00 - €700.00 a year there. Annoying and unfortunate! Conclusion: Be careful when ordering Maguro Sashimi: In addition to a bland taste, it could be old and not edible!

An für sich ein guter Sushi Laden wenn da nicht schon zum 2. mal der Maguro Sashimi faserig, alt und minderwertig geschmeckt hätte und daher im Grunde genommen nicht essbar war. Wir haben dann nach dem Verzehr von ein, zwei Stücken diese in der Mülltonne entsorgt, auch aus Vorsicht sich nicht den Magen zu verderben Bei meiner ersten Beschwerde wurde diese vom Servicepersonal nur achselzuckend zur Kenntnis genommen, bei meiner zweiten Beschwerde mußte ich regelrecht darum betteln, dass ich - wir sind dort mindestens 2-3 mal im Monat und nehmen ausser Haus Ware mit - beim nächsten mal einen Ersatz bekomme. Nach längeren diskutieren der Servicekraft mit der Küche wurde mir dann gnädiger weise eine halbe Portion Maguro Sashimi beim nächsten mal angeboten. Kleinkarierter - gerade für Stammkunden, wir lassen im Jahr bestimmt 600,00 - 700,00 € dort - geht es wohl kaum. Ärgerlich und schade! Fazit: Achtung bei einer Bestellung von Maguro Sashimi: Diese könnte neben einem faden Geschmack, alt und nicht verzehrbar sein!

The starters were delicious, the sushi was also good. For dessert we had the rolls - I haven't eaten something so delicious in a long time. Happy to come back!

Went to Osaka Sushi for the first time. Before, we only ever got sushi to go. - Wherever we were always very satisfied. From the outside the restaurant is very inconspicuous and you wouldn't expect such a top restaurant given the location...but- The atmosphere is very cozy. The waiter was very child friendly. There were children's dishes and at the end even ice cream for my little son. The sushi is one of the best sushi in the valley in my opinion. We will come back in any case!

Osaka Sushi doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside, so we went in skeptical. Inside it was a little nicer. But what ultimately convinced us was the very nice and friendly service and, above all, the well-prepared and tasty sushi. I especially enjoyed the fried gyoza, the spicy tuna and the cheese beef. I just love trying little things from a lot of things and here I get my money's worth. Thank you for a very delicious evening.

Best sushi in Wuppertal. Always fresh, but there is a slightly longer wait for the food. It's worth waiting for! Take away or enjoy on site.

We are totally excited. What a nice little restaurant with super good sushi. It was really very tasty.

The food is top class. There is no skimping on the ingredients here. Very nicely presented, enough selection on the menu and good service. Unfortunately, there are deductions in the ambience, as there is a bit of a train station atmosphere. All in all, worth a visit.

Been going to Osaka for years. And it is and remains simply the best sushi we have ever had! Even if you go to an expensive hip star restaurant on vacation, you'll always be disappointed that it doesn't get any better than what the Osaka team conjures up on the sushi plate. Only waited about 20 minutes for drinks. Then the food comes gradually, without being asked if you want something more to drink, etc.? We waited almost an hour for the food. It doesn't work at all! If there are no staff available, you should just keep the shop closed before annoying guests.

I'm just excited. I've been there several times with my partner and the sushi is amazing 🥰 My absolute favorite food there is the gyoza 🥟 just a recommendation, sooo soooo delicious! I'm always happy to be there and there's also a cool manga design and nice quiet music in the background.

I had one of the menus (108 maybe) the Lachs inside and out. It was excellent. Very fresh and didn't have a bunch of sesame seeds on it. Also, I very much enjoyed the Gyoza appetizer. Absolutely fantastic! By far, some of the best chicken dumplings I've ever had. Nice place with friendly staff. Prices more than fair. Will happily go again when in Wuppertal. Sorry, no photos. I forgot.

Sagenhaft gutes Sushi! Perfekter Reis und qualitativ hochwertiger Tunfisch. Kann man nur empfehlen. Auch die Pokebowl und das Kimchi sind mega lecker. Zudem guter Service und freundliches Personal. Ich gehe immer gern hier her, wenn es mich nach Wuppertal verschlägt.

Einfach nur sehr, sehr lecker!!! Die angegebene Abholzeit stimmt fast immer. Die Optik ist auch sehr hübsch. Mich persönlich würde es nicht in das Restaurant ziehen. Die Lage des Restaurants ist nicht die schönste und das Ambiente holt mich auch nicht ab. Dennoch ist es für uns das leckerste Sushirestaurant!!! Macht weiter so!!!

Super authentisches japanisches Sushi. Nette Bedienung und gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Vorweg: das Sushi war fantastisch! Ich hatte jedoch auch eine Bowl und die war wirklich sehr trocken. Ich habe sie nur halb gegessen (das Hühnchen war wiederum sehr gut) und das auch beim Kellner bemängelt. Als Antwort bekam ich nur ein kurzes „gebe ich an die Küche“ und dann wurde komplett berechnet. Ich bin eine Woche hier in der Nähe und wäre definitiv noch ein paar mal zum essen gekommen, so werde ich das leider nicht tun.

Osaka Sushi ist immer meine erste Anlaufstelle, wenn ich Lust auf Sushi & Co. habe! Alles, was ich bisher bestellt habe, war super lecker und habe ich nirgendwo sonst so gegessen. Ich hab schon in sehr vielen Sushi-Restaurants gegessen, aber dieses Lokal ist mit Abstand mein Favorit. Sehr guter Service und die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist sehr traditionell, ruhig und entspannend. Das Sushi ist ebenfalls Klasse und schmeckt mir persönlich sehr. Verdiente 5 Sterne!

Mit Abstand das leckerste Sushi in Wuppertal. Bestellen da sehr oft und sind immer sehr sehr zufrieden. Früher haben wir immer bei Sakura Sushi bestellt und dann einmal zur Probe mal bei Osaka. Das war die beste Entscheidung. Sehr sehr lecker, frisch und der Service ist top. Weiter so 👍👍👍

Es war so köstlich. Alles super frisch, das gebackene Hühnerfleisch war super knusprig, fluffig und saftig. Selten so gutes Fleisch gegessen. Das Sushi auch super lecker.

Für mich weit und breit das beste Sushi!

Der Sushi-Reis (und damit das Sushi) hat leider nach nichts geschmeckt. Der Rest war in Ordnung. Das Personal ist zwar sehr freundlich, aber bei über einer Stunde Wartezeit tröstet das nur wenig. Leider stark abgebaut.

War ein super schöner abend. Das essen war frisch und sehr lecker und die preise sind mehr als angemessen. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder :)

Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend und ist trotzdem nicht teuer. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Ausstattung ist eher rustikal und einfach gehalten. Dafür ist das Restaurant sauber und liebevoll mit japanischer Deko verschönert.

Meist lassen wir uns Sushi liefern oder holen es ab. Alles geht sehr zügig, auch wenn man im Restaurant ist und die Qualität des Sushis ist ausgezeichnet. Dazu wird man immer sehr, sehr freundlich bedient.

Wir waren hier zu viert essen. Das Ambiente ist ok, das Essen allerdings top! Alles war sehr lecker und wurde von einem netten Service serviert. Preislich für dieses Lokal vollkommen in Ordnung. Endlich auch Mal ein Restaurant im Osten von Wuppertal in das man gut gehen kann. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Nicht von der Lage und dem Äußeren abschrecken lassen, es lohnt sich!!!! Wir waren zufällig in Wuppertal und haben uns von TripAdvisor zu Osaka Sushi inspirieren lassen. Kein Fehltritt unglaublich lecker! Mein Favorit waren die Crispy‘s. Yummyyyyy!

What makes sushi great is the simplicity of the food and complexity of the flavour. If you like sushi you have to visit Osaka Sushi.

I had read that this was a great sushi restaurant. The food quality which is obviously the most important was very good. However mis en place of the restaurant, (unironed tablecloths under plastic toppers), a very uninspiring dining room, old toilets) as well as how my food was presented; quite honestly I have never been to a proper Japanese and had such badly presented food!! Real shame as simply for example slicing the special rolls into same size pieces cannot be that hard.. I would come again but next time would order only for example the menu of the month which sounded good at Euro 14.50 with free tap water instead of a full menu including two glasses of wine and a glass of mineral water at Euro 40. Shame....

This used to be a very decent Chinese restaurant, until the family decided to go with more trendy sushi. This works as well and we found the sushi tasty and fresh. Unfortunately the place is often very empty and seems to work mostly as take away. We were, on the other hand, a bit disappointed with the take away. Everything felt slightly warm. Definitely prefer to eat on site.
