ORO in Trier

Everything was very tasty, nice pizzeria. Unfortunately it is closed forever.

Were there for the first time. I was very surprised at how great it is there. Very pleasantly designed. Modern with old. Service was great. Very friendly, always a smile despite being busy. Food, what can I say. I/we were thrilled. But you have to try it yourself. Because as we all know, tastes are different 😊 We will definitely eat there more often.

Impossible procedure, changed lunchtime opening times are simply stuck on the door, there is no notice on the website...never again after many years of being guests, especially at lunchtime.

The starter was delicious, the main course, the salmon fillet, had an insect larva in the side salad. When we pointed this out to the waitress while clearing away she just said she would pass it on. When we paid we weren't asked how we found the evening/the meal. That was my first and last visit.

Team Oro needs one more star! Very friendly, always tried hard, no waiting time, the chef is Italian... definitely recommended!

How much do we love the Oro in Trier-Süd. The ambience alone invites you to sit for a long time, plus the really courteous service. And when you can watch the Italian chefs cooking with love and zest for life, your heart opens. It tastes great. The cocktails and the wine, just great!!! Please stay like this! You're doing great ♥️

The pizzas were priced higher, but the taste was nothing special and in no relation to the price. Unfortunately, the rocket we ordered was no longer available... the menu reads very well and promises a lot, but we were rather disappointed in terms of taste... the wines are very good... beer is unfortunately only available in bottles... the service was friendly and the location was nice... We were there again in 2024, everything was good...but the pepper sauce was very sweet

I was a guest with my wife. We both had pizza that was ok to just very good, but whatever, that's not what I'm talking about here. From the front: We sat in the next room and because of the large window pane we had a clear view of the kitchen, show cocking so to speak. The service was quick and friendly, everything was good! Then we waited for our food and we cheekily looked into the kitchen. The busy work is just interesting. What we saw there was sometimes disgusting, for example 3 chefs stood around a plate to serve a steak and fries, one took the fries out of a stainless steel bowl with his fingers, without gloves, and put them on the plate, the second complained Probably that they weren't seasoned yet and took them away from the plate with his bare hands, put them in the bowl where the 1st person seasoned the fries, then the 3rd person took the fries out again with his bare hands the bowl, placed it next to the steak and then, to our final disgust, picked up 2 of them and tasted them, ate them!! Didn't the three of them realize they were being watched? Didn't it matter to the three of them, without ladles, forks, etc., to put the fries from the bowl to the plate several times in their hands and then eat them with their fingers??? In every chip shop the fries are taken with a ladle or tongs from the deep fryer into the seasoning bowl and then onto the plate/bowl, but no in the ORO this is done with bare hands by 3 "cooks" One more thing, dear Oroteam, who sells their tap water is ok, but please rinse the bottles after use and change the screw caps from the sparkling water, they are extremely worn out and the seals are dirty!!!!

I ate the most delicious pizza ever there. It was very well topped with fresh ingredients, super crispy and juicy. The service was friendly and attentive and the ambience is impressive with very comfortable seating and air conditioning. The price-performance ratio is high but appropriate due to the excellent quality. We'll be back soon due to the great dining experience with a large group.

I was invited there in private company. My intolerance to gluten wasn't a problem at all, there was a gluten-free pasta dish, and I could also easily access the buffet and the appetizers. The staff was courteous, the view of the trains was also an interesting change. Even though the restaurant is located directly on the railway line, you couldn't hear or feel anything about it. Even on long freight trains.

Located very inconspicuously near the train station from the center. Once inside, a surprisingly beautiful atmosphere with tasty dishes that are prepared very transparently in an open kitchen. Service is also very good.

First of all: The food is simply a dream! Incredibly delicious! The only thing I could complain about when eating it was the creme brulee. It was delicious without question, unfortunately the caramel layer on top was heated too hot, which meant that some of the sugar on top was black and the sugar underneath was still crumbly and not caramelized. There is room for improvement there. Otherwise the service was great, individual requests were addressed without any problems. We were absolutely thrilled and have named this Italian restaurant our new favorite place!

Very nice restaurant in the beautiful building of the old Trier Südbahnhof. Super nice and attentive service. I had the truffle pasta and absolutely loved it.

Nice place! We went for lunch during the week. Lunch menu for €16.50, pizzas and pasta between €14-19 My pizza was very tasty, just like in Italy. Service was very friendly and everything went very quickly. We would come again

The restaurant is located next to the Trier Południe Railway Station. The specific atmosphere of the restaurant is noticeable immediately after entering it. Fresh and tasty meals. Very nice service. We will certainly return there again and again...

Yesterday we had dinner at ORO with 6 people and sat in a somewhat partitioned room that was beautifully harmonious and cozy. The kitchen offers traditional Italian Mediterranean dishes. Each of us had a different dish and everyone's food was delicious and the wine selection was also varied and good. Also worth mentioning was the very nice and good service. The restaurant is very stylishly designed and therefore provides the right ambience for a lovely evening. I was totally thrilled and my visit to the ORO yesterday won't be the last. I definitely recommend it.

Kein Fehler da mal essen zu gehen! Familiär moderne Atmosphäre mit qualitativ guter italienischer Küche bzw mediterran angehaucht.

The fact that you have to give your credit card when making the reservation is a deterrent to going there. It may be that some people don't keep their reservation, but I think that's cheeky.

Former old southern train station. You can still see the trains running in the restaurant above. Good for celebrations (we were here for a wedding reception).

Ambiente ist schön da in einem alten Gebäude/Bahnhof. Aber kalte, lustlosen, Bedienung. Die am Tag zuvor gemachte Reservierung und der Hinweis auf einen "Runden Geburtstag" wurde völlig ignoriert. Auf Nachfrage- als wir schon an einem kleinen Tisch saßen - konnte nicht mal eine Kerze hingestellt werden. Als wir das Restaurant betraten, war es leer, trotzdem durften wir nur zwischen zwei kleinen Tischen wählen. Alle Gäste die nach uns kamen, hatten freie Platzwahl. Was für ein unterirdisches Verhalten der Servicekraft/ Ansprechpartnerin. Deshalb keine Empfehlung, denn bessere Pizza und Freundliches Verhalten gibt es in Trier in der Neustraße

Vorab. Über die Qualität des Essens kann ich nicht urteilen es geht um die Reservierung. Habe telefonisch reserviert. Danach SMS erhalten mit link auf dem ich bestätigen soll. Ich werde auf eine dazu auch noch nach meinem Eindruck ungesicherte Seite von opentable geleitet und aufgefordert meine vollständigen Kreditkartendaten einzugeben und sodann auf "zahlungspflichtig bestellen" zu klicken. Das habe ich natürlich nicht gemacht sondern nochmal im Restaurant angerufen und es wurde mir dann mitgeteilt das sei Voraussetzung für eine Reservierung der Chef wolle das so. Geht's noch? Danke. Ohne mich

Ok, but the choice of seating - we were only allowed to choose between two tables even though the restaurant was empty when we arrived - was very cramped. The guests who came after us, also two couples, had free choice of seating at the large tables and there were no reservations. What was that about? Somehow loveless, especially compared to other restaurants/pizzerias on Neustrasse. So I tried it once and that was it. We prefer to go where we are greeted in a friendly manner and served.

Vegetarian starter plate okay, but nothing special. Salad plate max. 2 stars, completely unseasoned, when the salad dressing was reordered it was still saltless and spiceless. Service friendly. The pizza looked good, I didn't try it, but I said it tasted good. Ambience really makes you feel good.

Starter, main course, dessert simply great. Recommend to everyone! Very nice atmosphere, had a great evening there with very good food.

The Oro is very stylishly furnished in the old train station building in Trier Süd. We were lucky and were able to get a table on the third attempt by making a reservation. The service was very friendly and accommodating. About the food: The starter alone immediately convinced us! The fresh bread with tomato pesto was amazing… the pizza afterwards was just as impressive. Definitely one of the top 5 of our favorite Italian restaurants in Trier.

Italian and no Italian salad on the menu, a joke!

A great restaurant! We were here for our wedding anniversary and our wishes were taken into account and the table was nicely prepared. The large pizza oven, which is heated with gas, is very special; the pizza was very tasty and well topped! The salad (Italian salad) was also extremely good and plentiful! The food was simply of a very high standard. Price-performance is good. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back when we are in Trier again.

Wir waren das erste Mal da und sind sehr begeistert. Schönes Ambiente, das Essen war von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert sehr lecker. Und sehr freundliches Personal. Wir waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal da.

Sehr gut gemachte Pizza. Aufmerksamer und guter Service. Sehr leckerer espresso und tolles Ambiente. Preis Leistung stimmt. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Hier kann man eine ganz besondere italienische Küche genießen. Der Service ist freundlich und sehr aufmerksam, absolut Top. Das Gewölbe des ehemaligen Südbahnhofs ist sehr extravagant mit Akustikpanels gestaltet so das man sich trotz des hohen Raumes angenehm unterhalten kann.

Wir waren kürzlich zu viert hier Essen. Nach der Bestellung mussten wir mehr als eine dreiviertel Stunde warten und dann kamen auch nur 3 von 4 Gerichten. Auf Nachfrage war es von der Küche vergessen worden. Was dann kam war eine so kleine Portion, da wäre nicht einmal ein Kleinkind von satt geworden.. Hinzu kommt noch, dass das Dessert noch einmal über eine halbe Stunde auf sich warten ließ. Wir haben dann drauf verzichtet, haben gezahlt und sind gegangen. Hinzu kam, dass die Zutaten zumindest teilweise ganz sicher nicht frisch sondern aus der Dose bzw dem Tiefkühler kamen... Schade eigentlich...

Sfeervolle ruimte waar eerder een station moet hebben gezeten (Trier Süd). Heerlijk eten, ruime keuze, het was er druk (op een dinsdag) dus reserveren raad ik aan. Vriendelijke bediening en de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding was meer dan in orde. Een absolute aanrader.

Die bei weitem beste Pizza der Region! Sehr schönes Restaurant und sehr gutes Essen.

Wij waren in trier en vonden dit restaurant vlakbij ons hotel. We waren zeer aangenaam verrast, de sfeer is super, het eten was top en service ook. Erg vriendelijk personeel. De avond erop zijn we weer daar gaan eten. Echt een aanrader als je in trier bent!

Ein wunderbares Restaurant! Wir waren zu unserem Hochzeitstag hier und es wurde auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und der Tisch wurde hübsch vorbereitet. Wir haben uns riesig gefreut. Das Essen war einfach auf Top-Niveau und sehr lecker. Preis-Leistung ist unvergleichlich gut. Selbst wenn die Preise angezogen werden würden, wäre es noch passend. Wir kommen definitiv wieder, wenn wir wieder in Trier sind <3

Perfecto, bester Service, Rigatoni Funghi Pollo war Super, ebenso das Tiramisu. Hier passt alles zusammen Essen, Einrichtung und Ambiente. Eine besondere Atmosphäre schaffen die goldenen LED Tischlampen. Das Personal am Samstagabend den 4.3.2023 war super. Danke für den schönen Abend. Die Musik von Oleta Adams und den Pointers Sisters war echt toll. Wir waren heute 31.3.2023 wieder hier. Wir stellten fest, auf der Sonderkarte kostete der Aperol Spritz 60 Cent mehr. Okay auf der Rechnung stand der höhere Preis. Wir fragten freundlich nach und wurden von der eigentlich hübschen, freundlichen Bedienung angegiftet .. das sei auf der Rechnung abgezogen... okay hatten wir leider übersehen. Aber ehrlich, wir fahren nicht 50 Kilometer nach Trier um uns angiften zu lassen. Wir sind wegen der Atmosphäre gerne hierher gefahren, aber das war es jetzt...😡

Klasse, auch um kurz nach halb 10, freundlich, professionell und hilfsbereit im Haus bedient worden. Essen bestellt, eingeladen an der Theke zu Essen um noch eine nette Plauderei mit dem überaus freundlichen Team zu führen. Pizza ist Weltklasse, dafür dass wir nicht in Neapel sind. Der Teig ist göttlich. Schade, dass man keine 6 Sterne geben kann. Ganz großes Lob! So geht Gastronomie. Vielen Dank und bis bald 💚🤍❤️
