The Z-Schnitzel is still on the menu, but I find it a bit silly that they don't change that.

Hello to all Trier restaurateurs: Please take a look at the service here! If possible, two! That's how it should be and that's how you enjoy eating out! You can't complain about the steaks anyway, they're all as they should be. Fried potatoes could be a little more as a side dish, but maybe I'm complaining at a pretty high level!

We ate ok but it was nothing out of this world. The schnitzel was a bit dry and the knuckle chewy, although the accompanying sauce was very good.

Comimos correcto pero no fue nada del otro mundo. El schnitzel algo seco y el codillo chicloso, aunque la salsa que acompaña estaba muy buena.

I can only recommend it! We had our Christmas party there. Very nice waitresses... Service: ... very attentive everyone... Ambiance "very nice and spacious"... the food was damn tasty.

In addition to typical Cologne dishes such as "Heaven and Earth", there are also well-known dishes (roast meat, steaks, various salads, these also vegetarian or with a meat side dish)) for everyone. The menu describes the dishes on offer quite precisely. Even if you know heaven and earth with black pudding AND liver pudding, the menu only says blood pudding and only blood pudding is delivered. However, that doesn't detract from the taste. My *Himmel und Äd" was really tasty. Since the "early to late" restaurant would be visited during the Christmas season, I can only say that reserving a table is recommended. I can highly recommend a visit.

Recommended if you are looking for traditional and local food. The operation is very smooth and runs like a well-oiled machine. The prices are very favorable and affordable. If you do not plan to have an extensive dinner, you do not need to make a reservation.

I am ALWAYS very satisfied here!!! I go to “Early to Late” once a week and usually really love it – be it the food, the service or the atmosphere. Unfortunately I had to deduct a point this time because the reception by a blonde-haired gentleman (presumably responsible for allocating tables) was very unfriendly. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a shake of the head, and a flippant remark like “you can choose something back there” doesn’t correspond to the store’s otherwise high standards. It's a shame, because otherwise everything here is really great! (Thursday, December 19, 2024 The two ladies and the gentleman at the counter are, as usual, at the highest level. (One lady of the two, at 16, is already much more professional than the gentleman at reception) (we found out her age after asking)

We had an excellent meal there yesterday (Saturday evening) with a group of 7 men. Myself and almost everyone else had a 300 gram steak. We found it very well prepared. The ambience is authentic and inviting. The staff is very friendly and the sanitary facilities are clean. In short, we all felt very comfortable and would love to come back! Therefore : Clear recommendation 5 stars

Yesterday I wanted to dine early until late with my colleague in the “elitist”. After we were inside, although the entrance situation from the direction of the pedestrian zone was quite confusing, we were initially reprimanded by an adolescent young lady who seemed to be in her teens. Abundant food is this typical German place, with its usual food and good beer. They have a wheel of 11 20cl beers that is very well priced. For lunch we ordered sausage, scitzel, knuckle and baked pork and everything was delicious and abundant, especially the knuckle, which was 1.3 kilos. Very friendly attention and in perfect English without problem.

Comida abundante es este local típico alemán, con su comida habitual y buena cerveza. Tienen una rueda de 11 cervezas de 20cl que sale muy bien de precio. Para comer pedimos salchicha, schitzel, codillo y cerdo al horno y estaba todo buenísimo y abundante, sobre todo el codillo que era de 1,3 kilos. Atención muy amable y en perfecto inglés sin problema.

Unfortunately, we couldn't rate the food because the entrance wasn't visible to us as guests. You are then instructed where the main entrance is and, to top it off, the colleague's sentence (where do they come from)? With the best will in the world, we didn't want to eat anything here anymore. We weren't the only guests who entered the restaurant through the wrong front door and never entered again. Sometimes and often it is due to the friendly staff.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service is friendly. We ordered a knuckle with caps and tar and a steak with fried potatoes, mushrooms and pepper cream sauce. Unfortunately, the knuckle didn't live up to my expectations: the skin was tough rather than crispy, and the meat was neither tender nor well-seasoned. The Kappesteerdich, on the other hand, was very tasty – a thumbs up for that!

It was perfect as always. Steaks to perfection as ordered. Price performance is absolutely right. Large portions and the service is outstanding here. We eat out very often - but everything is just right here - every time. The staff here are incredibly hard-working and calmly and patiently answer questions about allergens. We were there today with eight people. Reservations were easy to make online with direct reservation confirmation. Everything tasted good to us and the prices were all perfectly reasonable.

The roast beef strips were more like medallions and looked delicious - I wish I'd ordered those, although my pork knuckle was great too, especially with the accompanying potato mash/sauerkraut. It might be worth booking in advance, It's a large place, but was full on a weekday night.

The restaurant is huge so it's very likely they will be able to squeeze you in somewhere, but if you're a large group, better book a table in advance. Food is good, portions huge and it's good value for money. My companions always eat steaks, I always have to try my way through the menu because I don't like steaks^^ But unfortunately I haven't found anything yet that makes me happy. Schnitzel was okay, but I don't know. The roulades are too tough for me and there was cinnamon (?) in the red cabbage. I'll probably try the vegetarian items next time I visit. On the last visit, my companion's steaks were too cooked (and burnt) and herb butter and vegetables were forgotten. :( The service wasn't really nice either, rather bitchy and annoyed.

Cologne. Early Kölsch. That's what this inn is all about. The Köll style is cultivated and lived by the staff. The chatter at the counter between the guests and the bar staff reveals that the Köllner likes to come over and then feels at home. So I think the store can rightly call itself authentic! Tasty food with large portions: from schnitzel to rump steak to Leberkäs and heaven and Ääd you can find everything at normal prices. Good, tasty, honest.

Just called to reserve a table to eat with the family on Sunday in 7 days. The employee on the phone was totally reproachful: “You’re calling in the middle of rush hour, call again after 9.” So I’m definitely NOT calling again! I also work and can't call whenever the employee wants!
