We were here tonight for the first time, but certainly not for the last time: the service was great: very friendly and helpful. Both the man and the woman had a nice chat. We were well advised about the food and the spiciness of it. The food was also excellent. We had a massaman and a wok dish with vegetables and duck, which was very tender. It was full except for a few places, so pleasantly busy. The toilets were also neat and clean. Recommended!!

Outrageous! Never! We wanted to reserve a table for three people for Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM. The answer: It's only available at 7:30 PM, and the table can only be occupied for 90 minutes.

We had dinner at this Thai restaurant while visiting Germany, and it was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and just the right amount of spice for those who enjoy a bit of heat. We were really impressed by the portion sizes, very generous! We actually couldn’t finish everything, which says a lot considering how tasty it all was. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dinner and we’re already looking forward to coming back on our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine!

I absolutely loved my visit to Oraya Thai Cuisine! The food was incredibly delicious – authentic, freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. I was particularly impressed by the green curry and the Pad Thai. You can simply taste that the cooking here is made with love. The service was also great: super friendly, attentive and warm. The atmosphere is stylish and cozy, you immediately feel at home. If you are looking for Thai food in Aachen, you have definitely come to the right place. I'll definitely be back!

Incredibly good food, we took over the entire restaurant and everything was still great. Parking is difficult due to the crowds, but perfect for going out for a good meal with your family and partner.

Too overcharged. 20 euros for a fried rice, where am I, in NYC?

The food was really delicious and if you like it spicy, this is the place for you. My Panäng curry had a lot of meat, but unfortunately a little too few vegetables. We ordered and unfortunately the food was cold. That was a shame, as this could be changed with a few simple steps (packaging material)

Unfortunately, I have to update my review. Recently, you can only reserve a table for 1.5 hours (previously 2 hours). I was there with a friend two weeks ago. We actually wanted to order dessert and cocktails, which we unfortunately didn't get around to. The bill was placed on the table without a word and without being prepared, and we were told we had to vacate the table. I think 1.5 hours is far too short, especially if you want to order a third course, spend a lot of money there anyway, and it's definitely not service-oriented to just have the bill handed to you. Yes - it was stated in the reservation, but since it had always been 2 hours, we didn't pay attention. The food is and remains excellent. Nevertheless, we will look elsewhere in the future. It's a shame!

Last night I went to the Oraya restaurant for the first time. We felt very comfortable. Dear people in the service team. The food was great and worth every euro. We'd love to stop by again.

We had reserved a table for 9 people. After dinner we wanted to order dessert, but unfortunately we were refused and we had to pay because the table had already been given away. At 9! I think it's absurd to want to keep people to a time quota. The food was really delicious, but the check-in afterwards shows that the owner only cares about making a lot of money quickly and not about the well-being of his customers. This concept will fall at his feet sooner or later.

The food was good, as I expected given the price. The reservation was a bit bumpy and I would have liked the communication to be more friendly. The service staff hardly spoke any German, English is no problem for us. She was very likeable but a bit awkward. The atmosphere is modern and bright.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. First the good: The food was delicious! Unfortunately, my mostly negative review comes from the fact that we were suddenly kicked out of the store after 2 hours because "that's probably what it said in the confirmation email" with the owner's absolutely cheeky comment: "Do you want to sit in a restaurant for about 3 hours or what?" - Yes, I would like to be able to do that too! Especially when we are still actively being served. And if the shop is so full that this isn't possible, you can at least let us know at the beginning and not serve tea a few minutes before the end of the "stopwatch" which, according to the owner, you can still drink at the bar..... As we were leaving we complained about the abrupt end of our time, whereupon the shop owner became loud and insisted that we had to read the confirmation email in its entirety. When booking an appointment via the Google tool, it was not mentioned that you can only stay for 2 hours. Who would expect to be informed in the confirmation email that every second counts once the appointment begins? Unfortunately, the Oraya team is not open to the feedback we have given on site and digitally, but is only looking for it It's all my fault and my friends' fault. A very disappointing behavior, which unfortunately means I won't be visiting the store again. Edit: unfortunately I have to deduct one star from my original application because the Oraya team once again failed to at least try to address the problem in their response. You MUST clearly communicate to the guests that the 2 hours are a hard limit and not just assume that everyone has studied the confirmation email in detail. In addition, the owner's cheeky comments and loud comments were not addressed.

Thai cuisine isn't actually one of my favorites, but Oraya really impressed me. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned, the atmosphere was really nice and the staff was friendly. I can definitely recommend it – even if the price is on the higher side 😊

Very tasty food! We got the pad thai and parang curry- which were both very flavorful. All their dishes can be scaled down one spice level and the add-ons are vegetarian friendly (tofu available). Unfortunately the curry was still VERY spicy, even though we asked for a mild version. The portion size is good and all dishes are plated beautifully. Highly recommend!

Actually I don't want to recommend the place. The food is so good, the service so special, that it's hard to get a table. I would therefore like to congratulate everyone who manages to get a place. Reservations are necessary - if you haven't made it yet, you could. Enjoy the food, whether lunch or dinner, and enjoy the friendly hosts.

Sorry, but waiting 2 hours for the food is not possible. A waiting time of 40 minutes was stated. Really uncool. The current prices have gone up by another 2.3 euros. The Pad Thai used to cost €14.50 with beef and now costs over €20. There have been two price increases in the last year and a half alone. That's really too much now, even if the food is very tasty. Update: now the third increase! €22.50 for Pad Thai with beef. Sorry, you don't even pay that in Berlin or Hamburg. It doesn't work at all. Customers are milked!

Excellent food, probably one of the best Thai places we've ever been to. What you could see from the utilization of the available places was probably also what other people saw. No chance without a reservation. 100 percent recommended.

I was invited to my birthday party today and had reserved a table for 5 people from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. At around 7:40 p.m. we were presented with the bill (191.60 EUR) without being asked. Ten minutes later (7:50 p.m.) we were asked to free the table for other guests. I think that's an outrage. Why do guests have to cancel the celebration 40 minutes before the time, even though they have a reservation until 8:30 p.m. I am extremely disappointed by this lousy behavior. I have never experienced anything like this. You pay for the expensive meal and are compensated. This is not Asian hospitality. The food was - with two exceptions - acceptable, but definitely not worth the money.

Food great. And I go to many Thai restaurants. Here you can taste authentic Thailand. 👌🏼 Only disadvantage. People have also discovered it and it is super busy. People are constantly waiting for a table here. So reservations are a must.

We ordered Massaman Curry and Pad See Ew with crispy chicken, they were both really delicious. The Massaman Curry was rich and flavourful, the Pad See Ew was full with charred aroma, the crispy chicken had good texture. We were very impressed and thankful for the food, and then the chef came to greet us as we were about to leave. Tasty food, friendly staff and chef, everything was very nice👏

Excellent service and dishes. We ordered Pad Siew with crispy chicken and Massaman curry with crispy chicken. They were so flavorful and the Pad Siew had nice charred 'wok hei' aroma. Would come back for sure.

Perhaps this place is great for the local crowd but the owner was quite racist ! He says you ‘have’ to wait despite a reservation !! He very kindly let others who came after us take seats(not sure if they had a reservation) We waited for 10 to 15 mins post the reservation time and left as it was quite humiliating to keep waiting there. So thank you very much for your kind hospitality!

Very aromatic and authentic cuisine. There was some attention from the chef. A rather strong broth with fresh herbs and vegetables. Delicious. We were there at lunchtime. We once had prawns with green curry. Already spicy but very good t. And once the duck with red curry. Highly recommended. It would have been nice to be able to order an extra portion of fried noodles, unfortunately you had to order a whole dish. But no reason to deduct a star because the food was simply tip top. Service is super friendly. We'll be back.

Nice place for dinner, and we had super quick service. Atmosphere was oke, simple but enough. The foods it's supposed to be so spicy... Indian food. On the chart, there are peppers to indicate how spicy it is. Took a non pepper disk, but it was too spicy for my taste ( not a fan of spicy food ) How ever iff you ignored the sensation off a burning mouth. It did taste really, really good. And if it was possible without being so spicy, I would go again for sure. Price was absolutely fine. So if you like spicy food, definitely pay them a visit

That's what I call a Thai restaurant!!! Small original family run Thai restaurant!! We were very happy with everything! The very nice conversation with the boss was also very pleasant. We have found our regular restaurant, see you soon!!! The only thing I could possibly complain about is that I could imagine a little more Thai flair in the restaurant, but that's a matter of everyone's taste.

The curry feels quite average, the fried beef river and coconut milk mango sticky rice are good, especially the latter, the mango is of very good quality and sweet.

A friend was there at 6:20 p.m. on Sunday and asked the cellar if there was a table for 4. He said yes and but he has to wait a bit. At 6:50 p.m. I asked him again and he said today the restaurant only accepts guests with reservations. It was really far away + waited an extra 30 minutes for nothing.

For me the best Thai in Aachen and the surrounding area. The cuisine is fantastic, the service is very friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. If you want to find something, it might be that it gets quite loud when it's full. It will probably be our regular Thai in Aachen!🙏🏼

We were there for the first time. Service very accommodating. Delicious cocktail (fresh up) and the Pad Thai was super good. We were really satisfied. It was very crowded, better make a reservation. Prices are not cheap but the price-performance ratio is right.

An excellent Thai restaurant in Aachen-Burtscheid. In my opinion it's number 1 in Aachen and the surrounding area at the moment. I can only recommend it. A reservation is advisable.

The Thai food is super delicious and the menu offers many different variations (including vegetarian ones with tofu). In general, the atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and you are immediately warmly welcomed and served. Always come back!

Excellent, very authentic food. Vegetable-based dishes are particularly recommended, such as: Kailan (Chinese: broccoli) and water spinach as well as the starter Oraya Wantan. We love it. The service is incredibly friendly and gives very good advice when choosing dishes.

Food is good but disgraceful service when they forgot the sticky rice on my Uber Eats. (I have to figure out how to email Uber Eats whilst my wife's food is going cold). Sure, they don't have a driver but I would have just accepted it if he was more apologetic about it and offered the rice the next time. I have never spoken to the manager of a restaurant which trivialised customer service as much as this one. I know the business, and this restaurant should not be so complacent when at the verge of tipping point to struggle (like many in Aachen).
