Blue Lotus Restaurant in Aachen

Blue Lotus is actually three restaurants: Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese. The menu is correspondingly diverse. And everything is delicious. I also like the sparsely but tastefully decorated dining room with five tables. The prices are really reasonable.

Well, I don't know. I ordered peanut curry. Got something spicy that fried my mouth off. I can eat spicy food, but the sauce should at least taste like peanuts. It was a delivery, though, so I can't rate the service or the ambiance. Tofu tastes better elsewhere. Never again... 🥲

Delivery service 1 hour. Spring rolls: overcooked vegetables, no meat. Inedible. Peking soup: little flavor, probably diluted several times with water. A waste of money.

I love the food. For me, it's the best Thai restaurant in the area.

The food is delicious, but the prices are rising rapidly. For example, baked duck with curry cost 12 euros two years ago; now it's 16-17. Therefore, we haven't ordered from here for a while. It's a shame.

We visited Blue Lotus and liked the relaxed atmosphere. Parking was easy. Prices were fair, €11 for noodles with chicken, €14 with duck. The chicken had crispy skin, not breaded, which wasn’t my favorite, but maybe that’s how it’s traditionally made.

We were there on a weekday around 7 p.m. and received friendly service. The two dishes we ordered were freshly prepared and tasted very good. The Thai restaurant is mid-range in price, so the prices are absolutely reasonable. Both dishes were very generously portioned, so I ended up taking about half home with me as a doggy bag (in a Styrofoam container). Note: Most of the dishes are delivered. Highly recommended!

Super fast & friendly, the food was delicious, really good value for money, and when I picked it up, they even gave me free mini spring rolls! (I only noticed this when I unpacked it at home and was really happy about this little surprise! 😃 Thank you for that!)

Good selection of delicious food, including vegetarian options. The food always arrives within the specified time, and even soups and desserts are hot.

I just ordered 6 meals and only received 5. There was no receipt included with the delivery. Despite the missing order, the driver demanded the entire amount. The driver simply hung up during the call. After multiple complaints, the restaurant now wants to refund the amount; but this is still not acceptable.

We've been ordering there regularly for years. Super delicious and fresh food, very friendly staff, fair prices, always top-notch. Consistently good quality :-) So, I highly recommend it!! ☺️ Keep in mind: It usually takes about an hour for the food to arrive at my home. But the wait is absolutely worth it!

We had the food delivered to our home. The soups were watery and too sweet. The flesh was more cartilage than anything else. The sweet and sour sauce was spicy but neither sweet nor sour. The fried glass noodles were bland and barely seasoned. And for the price of €14, there were only 4 mini shrimps in the noodles.

I have been ordering from Blue Lotus for many years. The food is always so tasty and fresh. The portions are generous and the prices are absolutely reasonable. The service is very reliable. Thanks to the nice owners and their employees.

Great food, portion size is really good for the price. Online order is very easy and uncomplicated, delivery was exactly on requested time. Both the starters and main courses were very delicious. Overall great service. We will definitely order again.

Blue Lotus is the go-to store for pickup or delivery when it comes to Asian food. Delicious curries, good Chinese dishes and a good price-performance ratio. We usually order the day before and give a delivery time. This works brilliantly. Picking up is also great. Recommended. You can also eat on site, but you don't have to 😉

Fast delivery from very friendly staff. Delicious fried noodles with lots of fresh vegetables. The peanut sauce also tastes great. Always happy again.

The Blue Lotus Restaurant is a real insider tip for anyone who loves authentic Thai cuisine! I particularly loved the dish of baked duck with massaman curry. The duck was wonderfully crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the curry tasted heavenly with its perfectly balanced spice and creamy consistency. You can immediately tell that they cook here with fresh ingredients and a lot of attention to detail. The balance of sweet, savory and slightly spicy is typically Thai and was hit right here. The ambience is just as convincing – friendly, relaxed and with a touch of the exotic. For me, the Blue Lotus Restaurant is a place that I like to come back to again and again. Absolutely recommended!

Great, the curry soup alone is a poem

Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. €2.50 will be charged for pasta if you want it instead of rice and don't communicate. Very small portion for €14.50, you'd rather go to the Asian restaurant on Karlsgraben. Totally inedible in taste!! Ordered baked banana with honey and discovered just a hint of honey! Much better in the past. Never again!

Fried noodles and rice were good. However, the spring rolls tasted strange and were burnt. They also smelled rotten and weren't fresh. It's a shame, we used to love ordering there, but it's slowed down a lot now.

I hadn't ordered anything for a long time because the delivery times were well over 1 hour. Tested again today. The minimum order quantity is now €18, which is already plenty for one person. Then I was told the delivery time would be 40 minutes to 1 hour. Was hungry, but oh well. After 1.5 hours I asked. Should come soon... After 1 hour and 55 minutes the food came. Comment, it would be freshly made. Well, that's probably the least you can do after the waiting time. The fried noodles for €9 tasted like nothing, the curry with beef was very tasty. But I order because I want it to be quick... I would have cooked 3 times in that time...☹️

Card payment is accepted, which is a bonus. The food is great and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable. For the same quality you pay at least €5 more elsewhere

The meat is HALAL meat! Very unfortunate, this is not mentioned anywhere on the website or on the menu. I think it is important that you know where your meat comes from

Ze serveren halal vlees en geven dit nergens aan. We kwamen er pas achter nadat we hadden besteld. We zagen dat de leverancier halal vlees kwam brengen. Zelf leken ze niet bewust te zijn wat halal vlees betekent.

The price-performance ratio is unbeatable and the owners are incredibly friendly. No matter whether takeaway or eat there, we would recommend it at any time.

Ordered there for the first time today. I'm really pleasantly surprised! Delivery time was kept to the minute, very friendly delivery driver, food was very tasty, portions were more than generous and the price was really acceptable! It definitely wasn't the last time!!

We had the food delivered to us, the chicken had a lot of fat and thicker cartilage. I don't know that at all. The vegetables were crunchy, but didn't taste like anything. The sauce was supposed to be sweet and sour, but it was very sweet. The rice was delicious. Overall, the food would not be ordered again. A pity

Very tasty dishes, large portions, short processing time in the kitchen and affordable. All around very good! Since 2024, however, it has only been available for pickup or delivery, but there were a few small spring rolls for free.

Delicious, recommendable food in itself, BUT they simply don't manage to implement special requirements (e.g. no peppers). Deliveries are also often unpunctual.

Ein ganz hervorragender Lieferdienst für asiatisches Essen! Die Lieferung ist immer flott, und wenn doch mal sehr viel los ist, wird das direkt bei Bestellung schon gesagt. Bisher war jedes Gericht, das ich dort probiert habe, wirklich gut, und ich glaube ich hab die Karte bald durch :)

Tolles, ein für meinen Geschmack sehr leckeres Essen, Nr 141 Ente Chop Suey. Als Vorspeise kann ich Nr.1 Tom Kha Gai Hühnersuppe empfehlen auch die Thailändische Frühlingsrolle ist sehr schmackhaft. Öfters lasse ich mir das Essen nach Hause liefern von freundlichen Boten der Blue Lotus.

Food had great taste! We had Thom Kah Kai Soup (delicious!), Erdnuss curry with chicken & reiss (spicy, but delicious) and Green Curry with Tofu & reiss (very tastefull, little spicy). Frühlingsrolle also very nice. 5 tables, so not too crowdy. Good service. Also take away. Price= 20-30eu incl. 7 drinks.

Das Restaurant ist einfach und schlicht. Das Essen jedoch war wirklich toll. Schmackhaft und rundum lecker wie reichlich 😋. Selten so gut und vor allem so preiswert asiatische Küche genossen. Die Bedienung war nett, zuvorkommend und es ging zügig. Gerne wieder wenn ich in der Nähe bin. Absolut empfehlenswert !!!

Ich habe gerade eine Bestellung erhalten und ein Stück hartplastik in meinem essen gefunden!!!??? Letztes mal das ich dort bestellt habe, wenn ich die tage blut kotze dann weiß ich woher. 😤😡

Die Auswahl ist riesig, das Essen schmeckt vorzüglich, die Preise sind in Ordnung und die Portionen gut dimensioniert. Wir bestellen seit gefühlt 20 Jahren alle Wochen mal wieder was, und wir sind noch nie enttäuscht worden. Lieferzeiten liegen zwischen 30 und 90 Minuten, wird allerdings bei der Bestellung immer angekündigt, und bis auf einen Ausreißer hats immer gepasst. Ab und zu bestellen wir so viel, dass es ne Cola und Krabbenbrot aufs Haus gibt - nette Geste. Bild 1 ist Hühnerfleisch in Wald Curry, Bild 2 ist Chop Suey. Das sind die Klassiker, die wir neben den üblichen Gebratenen Nudeln bzw Gebratenem Reis mit Hühnerfleisch bestellen

Ich habe schon mehrfach hier Essen bestellt, die Preise sind auch über die Pandemie und Inflation fair geblieben und nicht wesentlich angestiegen. Die Lieferzeit beträgt zwischen 30 und 40 Minuten, der Fahrer hat mich benachrichtigt, als er sich Staubedingt verspätet hat. Von meiner Seite aus eine Empfehlung, das Essen war nämlich wirklich lecker und die Portion mehr als ausreichend.

Wir waren hier sonntagsabends mit der Familie essen. Es ist aufjedenfall gut, wenn man dann reserviert, weil der Laden echt klein ist und nur wenig Sitzplätze hat. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker. Die Pausen zwischen der Vor & Hauptspeise waren gut. Da das Restaurant auch einen Lieferservice anbietet, der sehr beliebt ist, hat es allerdings auch lange gedauert, bis unser Essen fertig war. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Kommen gerne wieder.

Kleines Restaurant mit leckerem Essen. Komme und hole mir oft und gerne Essen beim Blue Lotus ab. Ob die Tom Kha Gai Suppe oder die gebackene Ente mit Curry, es schmeckt eigentlich immer gut. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt auch 👍

Ich war heute das erste Mal da. Das Restaurant ist klein und sauber. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich habe eines der Mittagsmenüs probiert und war positiv überrascht. Sehr lecker und auch von der Menge so ausreichend, dass selbst ich satt geworden bin. Werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen oder uns auch beliefern lassen. Auf jeden Fall werde ich das Restaurant weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen war richtig lecker und Portionen sind großzügig bemessen. Der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich werde hier auch nochmal gerne essen gehen.

Bisher hat dass mit dem Liefern und Bestellen sehr gut geklappt. Wir bestellen öfters da, aber der Service hat sehr nachgelassen. Zuerst hieß es ca. 20 bis 30 Minuten, wir haben diesmal nur Vorspeisen bestellt. Nach einer Stunde angerufen, ich hätte mich verhört es wäre gesagt worden 1 Stunde. Es würde jetzt noch 20 Minuten dauern. Erstens ist es sehr kundenunfreundlich, dem Kunden vorzuwerfen dass er sich verhört hat (was auch nicht der Fall war!). Zweitens waren nur die Frühlingsrollen etwas warm. Der Rest war eiskalt! Als hätte man unser Essen vergessen! Drittens Zuerst heisst es 20 bis 30 Minuten, dann ein Stunde und dann auf einmal wieder 20 Minuten?! Zudem gab's bisher immer ein kleines, kostenloses Extra. Wir bestellen schon seit Jahren da, heute war nichts dabei dafür kaltes essen.

Super Portionsgröße und auch geschmacklich konnte es immer überzeugen. Eventuell die Styropor Verpackung ersetzen.

Schlichtes Ambiente mit umfangreicher Speisekarte und schmackhaften Gerichten. Preise im unteren bis mittleren Bereich. Ich war schon 2 mal dort und empfehle es gerne weiter, besonders den Patienten der Rehaklinik Rosenquelle.
