Always a pleasure in terms of taste, but the interior could be a bit more careful about cleanliness, for example the table runners made of fabric with the elephant pattern are always a little dirty and the large windows don't always offer a clear view. Overall, always a worthwhile visit.

The first time the food was delicious. Went there again a few weeks later. Unfortunately it was really bad that day. The breading on the chicken was very dry and crumbly, the chicken was dry, the rice was a single sticky mess and the curry was mediocre at best. You also save a lot on meat here. Unfortunately I find it very disappointing for the price you get here.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne hier, wenn wir mal in AC sind. Sehr leckere Gerichte, superberer Leute, klasse Ambiente. Alles auch mit Tofu, also für Veggies gut geeignet. Wir geben selten volle 5 Sterne - hier aber passt es absolut. Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Food was a disaster As a European you don't know what you're going to be served, which you don't necessarily know. For our evening The spring rolls were not served. There was no papaya in our papaya salad, just coleslaw (white cabbage). The sauce was sweet and sour and quite spicy. There was also sweet and sour sauce in the duck salad. Completely incomprehensible why Thai food has sweet and sour sauce in it. Usually with lemongrass and fish sauce. My steamed fish was not steamed but boiled with water and the sauce slapped on top. The discussion with the waiter led to nothing. There were only two waiters, one of whom couldn't even speak Thai and disappeared due to the rush. So we had to wait a little longer than normal for the drinks. Prices far too high and far too ambitious. Won't be visiting this place again either. Restaurant ideal for Europeans who are not familiar with Thai food. Remember, if there are no Asians in Asian restaurants, it can't be authentic.

Very big portions and tasty food. Be careful while picking the spice level. My husband loves spice but the 3. level spice was even beyond his liking. Please note that the place is closed on Wednesdays. You will never find a place to sit around/after 7pm without a reservation.

I like to eat lunch here because the lunch menu is very good value for money. It's sometimes quite busy in the restaurant and it's too restless for me in the evenings. But the food tastes really good. The staff is very friendly.

Nothing special. The sauce was low in spices and lacked the typical diverse Thai flavor. Celery was too much. The rice wasn't anything special. No basmati or jasmine. Service very nice.

There were five of us and we celebrated a birthday like the year before. The door was still locked shortly after 6 p.m. and we couldn't get in until about 10 minutes later. It was pretty cold inside all evening. We kept warm with tea and were inclined to put our jackets back on. At another table, some visitors had actually put their jackets back on. The young female waiters were apparently quite inexperienced and it took a long time for the orders to be taken. That was completely different last year. The food, however, was again TOP! Of course, no master comes from heaven, you need experience, but you shouldn't just use newcomers. So when pleasant warmth is provided and more routine develops, I'm happy to give all the stars again, because there are definitely no newbies in the kitchen.

Good Thai restaurant with nice spicy food. Compared to other Thai restaurants, there are three chili peppers on the menu that are really hot, so if you are sensitive, choose one less chili pepper. Service is nice and responds quickly. The ambience is generally nice, but it is very narrow and the acoustics are very bad. Since there are no sound-absorbing elements, it is very, very loud in a full restaurant. Therefore, one star point deducted from the overall rating.

Ein wirklich leckeres Restaurant. Immer wenn ich anderswo Thai esse denke ich, Lai Thai ist besser. Obwohl die jedes Mal eine neue Tischdeko brauchen wenn ich da war, sind sie immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

This restaurant was an amazingly pleasant surprise in Aachen. The cuisine is absolutely delicious, the authenticity of the Thai kitchen can be felt in every single bite! It feels like you’re eating at grandma’s house (even for the non-thai people, like me), the love presente in every meal is obvious. Plus, the decor is wonderful, very homey. Definitely a must visit! And one of the best comfy food places in the city! Will be returning very soon

Wir waren in einer Gruppe von Sieben Leuten hier und haben eine durchweg positive Erfahrung gemacht. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist reichhaltig, die Portionsgröße in Relation zum Preis anständig. Die Bedienung war freundlich, hat sich Zeit genommen, Fragen zu klären, war aber auch flink unterwegs. Wie authentisch es war kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich noch nie in Thailand gewesen bin. Fakt ist: es hat allen geschmeckt, alle waren satt und wir werden wieder kommen. Man sollte aber, gerade mit größeren Gruppen, einen Tisch reservieren.

Heerlijk gegeten, het was voor ons ( twee stellen) de eerste keer bij Lai Thai. Niet duur maar wel reserveren! Om 1800 uur blijkt iedereen honger te hebben en was het vol. Aardig was dat de bediening aangaf dat het wat langer kon duren voordat geserveerd kon worden ivm de drukte. Wij gaan zeker terug om ook andere gerechten van de uitgebreide kaart te proberen.

Super veel keuzes. Prijzen ook goedkoop. We hadden een 3 gangen menu gepakt

Lecker. Große Portionen. Gemütlich. Besser vorher reservieren. Sie öffnen meist in der Woche erst ab 18.00 uhr. Ist sehr gut besucht.

Hier komt men aan zijn trekken heerlijk gekruid, vers, veel groenten. Een absolute aanrader. Komen zeker terug. Gastvrije vriendelijke bediening.

Das Essen ist richtig lecker, die Portionen sind richtig gross und die Preise sehr fair. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Hi! I was traveling today around Aachen Cathedral, and I stepped into Lai Thai restaurant. I was quickly greeted by hearty hello from a very young lady. Very important that menu is translated to English. Allergens are also described in menu. Big yes for that :) Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the dish that I did order but it was fried rice with eggs, soya sauce and vegetables. Ofcourse I couldt resist to not to try Thai beer and dessert (fried banana with crumble made of coconut flakes). The dish was ready fairly quick and I really appreciate that the waiter served me the dessert after I finished. Trust me, it's very common in many restaurants that staff will serve you dessert before you finish main dish and your ice cream will be melted or you will have to ask for glass of water when ordering an espresso! There was only two weird things; One: they do not accept credit cards. Personally it's not a problem for me coz I support cash payments but restaurant is located in city center of big town in germany and we habe 21st century. Two: when I received the bill the waitress was waiting at my table with her wallet. I felt that this could he an result of waitress inexperience because it was a little awkward moment for me, or probably restaurant is facing a lot of people who don't pay for service which is really sad. Overall I give 9 out of 10! There is also nice decoration of real plants! Power to the green!

Great Thai restaurant with Mixture of different and creative food

4 of us had an amazing dinner @ Lai Thai recently. We got a nice window seat, and the general decor, cleanliness and vibe were very good. Service was excellent throughout. The food was very tasty, and you could get it authentic Thai hot. BEWARE - CASH only :(

Lecker, freundlich, gut und der Mittagstisch ist günstig und flott serviert.

Der Service war sehr gut. Das grüne Curry war leider viel zu süß. Das kenne ich aus Thailand so nicht! Das Gemüse war frisch und gut, der Schärfegrad war auch super. Der Fisch im Curry war in irgendeiner Form paniert und leider sehr aufgeweicht. Leider alles in allem nicht überzeugend.

Das Guay Tiaw Phad Kraprao mit Rindfleisch war gut. Portion echt groß, Preis Leistung super. Der Papayasalat war top, wie in Thailand. Die Jungens vom Service echt sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Grüne Curry meiner Frau leider zu süß. Und der Schärfegrad ein Bisschen zu europäisch. So ein kleines Töpfchen mit Chili am Tisch zum selber schärfen wäre super 😉. ขอบคุณสำหรับอาหารอร่อยมาก 🙏

Wow, einfach nur wow 🤩🤩 Über das Essen muss man gar nicht reden, das ist 1A mit 10 Pluspunkten, man geht satt und mit gutem Gefühl raus aus diesem Laden Und das Personal ist super vorkommend und einladend 🥰Trotz vielen Stress und vollem Laden bleibt das Personal freundlich und motiviert:)voller guter Laune und Offenheit Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen !!

Selbsterklaerte Besitzerin eine ignorante und arrogante Persönlichkeit die keine Lust hat ihren Kunden nur etwas besser zuzuhören und sich Zeit zu nehmen. Heftige Erklärung aber leider wahr. Eine von unserer 4er Gruppe hat Diabetes und wir haben das erklärt und nur gefragt ob wir Reisnudeln mit Eiernudeln austauschen dürfen (da Reis nie gut für Diabetiker). Es wäre ganz klar ganz einfach diese zwei Dinge aus gesundheits Gründen bei dem Gericht auszutauschen. Zuerst hieß es ne machen wir generell nicht. Und so total Pampige Antworten wie “ja weiß ich doch nicht was sie essen können (als Diabetiker)”. Dann am Ende nochmal haben hieß es wir hätten es ja nicht genug kommuniziert. Etc. total uneinsichtig und total unfreundlich. Es geht ja nicht mal darum dass man immer seinen Willen bekommen muss als Kunde. Wenn es wirklich stressig ist oder schwierig was zu ändern kann man uns das ja ruhig freundlich erklären. War aber wirklich gar nicht der Fall. Und es war auch Montag und total ruhig. Daher leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr leckeres Essen in großer Auswahl. Drinnen wie draußen ein angenehmes Ambiente. Die verschiedenen Schärfegrade werden in der Speisekarte bildhaft deutlich gemacht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und kompetent. Hier waren wir nicht zum letzten Mal.

Google should really consider the possibility to put 0 star. We waited almost 1 hour after the order. Nothing except the drinks was served. Also, we were seated in front of the door. We asked to change the seats as it was a bit cold with the wind blowing just towards us. They only closed the door for a while, and opened it again afterwards… We asked if we would get the dishes soon, they said to go to ask, but no reply, not before that we left anyway. So after having lost the patience, we just left the money for the drink on the table and went away… a loss of time, nothing else

Heerlijk geluncht bij dit Thais restaurant aan de rand van het winkelcentrum van Aken. Een rustige ambiance, vriendelijke bediening en een ruime kaart om uit te kiezen. We hebben genoten en gaan zeker nog een keer terug om een ander gerecht uit te proberen.

Great place for thai with a really wide variety of thai dishes. We ordered a sea bass, a chicken dish and a squid. All were good specially the fish which was so well cooked and fresh. Fur drinks we had bitter lemon (nothing to say for this one) and tea. The tea was served in a cute elephant teapot. This place is highly recommended from my side

I really liked in this place, the portions are corresponding to the price, and everything was quite tasty. A solid reccomendation.

Miss Thai food so I came here with my family. The food is delicious and very authentic. A bit sweet though. Rice is served for free and the dishes are very big. The staff are kind and helpful. It is very crowded so I think if you want to dine in, you should make a reservation in advance.

One of the best thai cuisines in Aachen with various traditional dishes. Service is great as well. I will always come back.

Gestern waren wir zum Lunch, da das Lokal am Samstag durchgehend geöffnet hatte. 2 Vorspeise 2 Hauptspeise Das PadThai war hervorragen! Ich würde sagen, der einzige Ort in Aachen, an dem man eine tolle Portion mit sehr guter Qualität erhält. Vielen Dank immer wieder gerne!

I was craving thai food and this was near. Turned the corner and smelled thai food from 100-200m away! I knew it was going to be good. Everything was great - polite waiters/manager, attentive. Pad Thai was a real deal. Authentic, came steaming hot, came with sprouts/scallions/chilli flakes/peanuts, came in nice looking plates, great noodles!!! 10/10. The spice level hits right. Huge portion. Also had the chicken satay — two large skewers with peanut sauce and pickles. Also good. Keep up the good job.

War seit Jahren hier Stammkunde .1× Wöchentlich immer. Nachdem wir in letzter Zeit öfter aufgefallen waren haben wir mal Pause gemacht und haben uns ein anderes Restaurant gesucht. Jetzt waren wir nach ca. 6 Monaten noch mal dort zum Mittagessen. Nach einer Stunde Wartezeit, andere die nach uns gekommen sind , sind schon bedient worden und hatten ihr Essen, haben wir mal höflich gefragt ob man uns vielleicht vergessen hat. Nach noch fast einer weiteren Stunde haben wir unsere Getränke bezahlt und sind gegangen . Kellner war auch sehr unhöflich. Keine Entschuldigung und nichts. Er meinte sogar das es nicht schlimm wäre wenn wir nicht mehr kämen. Dehnen geht es wahrscheinlich in der Judengasse zu gut und für uns hat sich dieses Restaurant erledigt. Schade das ich für eine Bewertung abzugeben einen Stern ankreuzen muß. Selbst dieser ist nicht mehr verdient.

Leider haben wir gestern festgestellt, dass das Restaurant zu wünschen übrig lässt! Es war so kalt dort, dass die meisten Gäste mit Wintermantel dort saßen! Das Essen war gut, aber leider fast kalt serviert, wir haben ca.eine halbe Stunde auf das erste Getränk warten müssen! Bei diesen Preisen, ça. 38 Euro pro Person, nicht akzeptabel! Wir kommen so schnell nicht mehr zurück!

Sehr lecker kann ich nur weiterempfehlen

Mal wieder sehr enttäuschen! Wir wollten dem ganzen noch mal eine Chance geben, da wir letztes Jahr an meinem Geburtstag schon mal enttäuscht wurden, aber leider wieder nur raus geschmissenes Geld! Ein Gericht hatte null Geschmack und das andere war viel zu salzig! Für mich kein typisches Thai essen (ich halb Thai und meine Freundin ganz Thai) wir kommen jedenfalls nicht wieder, sorry.

Wir waren mit mehreren Leuten dort und alle waren zufrieden. Die Hauptgerichte waren alle sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich, auch die Portionsgröße war gut. Was uns nicht gefallen hat, das war die Vorspeisenplatte. Irgendwie fehlte das Besondere und geschmacklich war es nur unterdurchschnittlich.

Pyszne jedzenie. Bardzo polecam. Lokal w centrum miasta. Niedrogo.

The interior reminds me so much of Thailand. They even have seats in the northern Thai style! The Pad Krapao duck was something I didn't expect but other than that, all tasted really good and came in big portions. The service could be improved as we had to wait for a while to get noticed by the staff even though it wasn't crowded that day.

Essen zu angemessenen Preisen. Leider war bei unserem letzten Besuch der Service katastrophal (unaufmerksam, falsche Gerichte/ Getränke, langsam) und das Essen hat auch an Qualität eingebüßt.
