The X-Berg Duck menu is legendary, well-thought-out, and the individual components are perfected! After a rather lackluster Michelin-starred marathon through Berlin, Mr. Vogel's cuisine was truly the savior of the week! I'd happily go back anytime, and chapeau!

We were in the restaurant for an anniversary and somehow expected a special experience. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. First we were taken to a kind of waiting area, where people repeatedly tried to force us to have an aperitif. After 30 minutes, despite a reservation, we were brought to our table upon request and decided on the x-mountain duck menu. For a restaurant that prides itself on this level, the cutlery was literally thrown down, plates were passed across the table and questions were answered snippily. Unfortunately, that was very uncharming and ultimately disproportionate to the money. The food was okay if not impressive. To put it bluntly, I would get more flavor from a good Asian dish. The atmosphere is overall very nice and, above all, the young service staff seemed competent, charming and had a nice sense of humor! :) We are still disappointed with this evening, which unfortunately brought one mistake or disappointment after another. Unfortunately we cannot recommend it and will not be coming back.

An evening in the Orania.Restaurant feels like a visit to a luxurious living room - cozy, stylish and full of enjoyment. Particularly impressive: the open kitchen as the heart of the room! ✨ The absolute highlight was the X-Berg Duck, a modern interpretation of Peking duck – crispy skin, perfectly balanced flavors and pure sophistication on the plate. 🦆🔥 There is also a creative alternative for vegans with the “VUCK”. Food was nice and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great with the live band. However, the service from the staff was lacking due to hygiene issues. First was one of the staff tried to remove my bread (half eaten) without asking me if I was done. We were only on the first course and she had touched my buttered bread with her bare hands. When I told her I am still eating it, she just left the bread on my table and left without replacing it. I immediately asked another staff for a fresh bread which they have forgotten to replace. Next part was while eating the pancakes with the duck skin, I found a piece of plastic foil with the pancake while chewing. Although the waitress apologised and said that the foil was used to cover up the pancakes before serving, this hygiene of the food is not up to the standards of paying 95€ for a set meat. I have given the restaurant 3 stars as the staff were friendly and the food was nice but more work needs to be done in terms of hygiene.

The Peking duck menu was great. There is an open kitchen and incredibly friendly chefs who were much better at the guest than the service itself. Unfortunately, halfway through the meal, a band was playing in the open restaurant, which I personally didn't like because it was too loud.

Stylish dining room with an open kitchen, friendly but slightly hectic service. Only the Xberg Duck menu didn't quite meet our expectations: In the first course, the skin of a whole duck is carved for two people, which gives the impression that you will be served the WHOLE duck as the menu progresses - however, at the end of all the courses you realize that for two people you only eat half a maximum Duck has been given in various dosage forms. Because per person there is a total of 1 dumpling filled with duck meat, 1/4 duck breast with sauce and a tablespoon of leg meat mixed with vegetables. Not only did we find this misleading, but the portions were also a bit meager. Furthermore, it tasted good, but we would have expected more sophistication. Overall, an averagely good meal without any particular highlights, but that doesn't justify the price. However, the signature cocktails after dinner at the hotel bar are awesome!

Very nice atmosphere and great service but I haven't had such a bad breakfast in a long time. Price performance is not right at all. Partly dried out and inedible. But the location is very nice.

An all-round successful evening. We ate excellent à la carte in a stylish atmosphere. Very friendly and considerate service. I would also like to mention the integrated stylish bar area. Always my pleasure.

Duck good, all good. I'll never want duck any other way. Both dashi and breast a poem. The crispy duck skin knocks the bird out. Price/performance ratio unbeatable...worthy of a star!!

Sensationelle Ente und erstklassiges Service! Gern wieder…

We had the famous X-Berg Duck Menu. Quite passable, but I think you can get the individual courses better elsewhere. But the overall experience is still nice, the atmosphere is great and there was live music from 9am. And the food and drinks are not bad at all.

Huge respect goes out to the kitchen and the culinary experience. I don't usually write reviews. But maybe you should just be a little more open with reviews because if you just have the feeling that the service was mediocre even if there wasn't a lot going on at the time I think that something like this should be avoided in conjunction with naturally good food at fair but high prices. If I as a guest notice that you are not being looked after properly or half-heartedly, you should not try to defend yourself with justification but simply accept it. And if I pay a bill and the waitress opens the card and says that the bill amount is €270 and there are €300 in it, then that's fine, right? I don't know the amount. Collect the remaining money back then the customer can decide for themselves whether to tip and how much. Restaurant is recommended, but the service doesn't quite match the good quality of the cuisine.

Unfortunately very disappointing. The food wasn't convincing and unfortunately the service wasn't attentive either. After each course we were never asked if everything was OK or if we would like something to drink. Everything was just dulled away.

The establishment is good, although a little expensive. Interesting selection of cocktails, beautiful presentation. But I was upset that they refused to play the piano, although I was sober, polite and warned about my musical education and performance experience. This spoiled the impression a little.

The atmosphere is the best. Really cozy and intimate. Just right in the gray winter. You don't notice the hustle and bustle that exists in many breakfast restaurants. The food is very tasty. It's not cheap in terms of price, but it's just as expensive elsewhere now. But I have the best toilet in Berlin here. If you want it to be special, then this is a good choice.

We ordered the full program (Peking duck) 5 times. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was very nice but the service was unfortunately unsympathetic. We didn't really feel picked up and we thought that was a shame.

Ein toller Abend in Kreuzberg, dass X Duck Menü ist schon etwas ganz besonderes. Die einzelnen Gänge sind bestens abgestimmt, Freude pur auch bei dem Service. Beim Dessert gab es noch eine extra Zugabe fürs Geburtstagskind, dass hinterlässt ganz großen Eindruck ❤️🥰📍 Lieber Phillip beim nächsten treffen mit Tim Mälzer kannst du ihm gerne zeigen wer der wahre Champion ist 😉, ganz liebe Grüße aus Wittstock. Tolle Atmosphäre und sehr aufmerksamer Service. Wir hatten Pekingente und das war ein echtes Highlight. So hatten wir noch nie Ente gegessen.

Wir hatten zu zweit ohne drum zu bitten einen hervorragenden Tisch mit aussicht auf die Küche. Das Ambiente und das Servicepersonal war sehr ungezwungen und authentisch, wodurch wir uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Als Aperitif hatten wir pinot & poire und den alkoholfreien Gentian sour, der uns extremst begeistert hat. Für 12€ der preiswerteste Drink, den ich seit langem probiert hatte. Wir hatten die X Berg Duck bestellt und trotz hoher Erwartungen wurden wir überrascht. Besonders der zweite Gang hat texturell und Geschmacklich alles perfekt angesprochen und war ein Erlebnis, dass ich so schnell nicht vergessen werde.

Das Xberg Duck Menü war hervorragend. Bei der OpenTable Tischreservierung haben wir vermerkt, dass es ein Geburtagsessen ist. Was leider sehr schade war, dass es nicht im Restaurant berücksichtigt wurde.

Es war ein sehr toller, langer und unvergesslicher Abend. Das Personal war super freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen war perfekt und am Abend wurde dann auch noch Livemusik gespielt. Sehr zu empfehlen!

The tall, geeky bartender was very rude and ignorant to only me. He was not professional in any way shape or form and I will not return because of it. His behaviour towards me was discrimination pure and simple and there are laws against this in Germany! If you are black or brown and you simply want to sit and have a drink alone at this bar simply because you feel like it and can afford it, you are made to feel as though you are committing a crime. Discrimination is a crime and I will not tolerate this kind of behaviour !

We stayed just at the bar. To my surprise it is part of Schloss Elmau chain (spot the elephants), so you get the luxurious vibe. Live music. Good drinks, but pricey (approx 16-18€ per drink). Will gladly come back.

Quite often there is something delicious to drink here, whether cold or delicious wine...The atmosphere is very nice, in the middle of Kreuzberg...I really like drinking lime ginger tea here, it's so delicious... If you're looking for something nice, you've come to the right place. There's always live music on weekends :-) Very nice employees… But the best thing here is, my dog ​​loves coming here so much, we baked gourmet cookies especially for the dogs so sweet 💜💜Thank you, you are simply the best 💜💜💜

Es war insgesamt ein schöner und leckerer Abend. Wir wurden auch insgesamt sehr umsorgt und regelmäßig gefragt ob noch alles in Ordnung ist. Die Infos zum Essen waren sehr gut und interresant aber auch sehr viel. Die Cocktail/Longdrink/Barkarte leider etwas zu intellekuell und dadurch zu komplex um einen schnellen Überblick zu haben. Kurze Beschreibungen wären ihr praktisch. Die Idee mit dem Farbcode ist gut gemeint aber etwas zu komplex. Der Hauptgrund für nur 4 Sterne war am Ende vorallem die Präsentation des Schnaps. Guter Schnaps kostet Geld das ist mir bewusst aber es wäre dann zumindest nett das man die Preise auch vor dem auschenken erfährt und diese in seine Entscheidung mit einfließen kann. Untermstrich bleibt aber ein schöner Abend mit tollen Essen und einem guten Service. Eine Erfahrung die man machen sollte wenn man gutes Essen mag.

Der Empfang und das Essen waren sehr gut. Beim Service sollte man noch nachsteuern. Man wurde zwar nach unverträglichkeiten und Allergien gefragt aber leider wurde das dann nicht beim Service beachtet und man musste bei jedem Gang extra nachfragen was die Inhaltsstoffe sind! Es wurde etwas serviert was der Gast nicht essen durfte. Auch mußte man nach Besteck fragen , den das Essen kam aber man hatte kein Besteck. Auch die Getränke kamen erst auf nachfrage für alle an den Tisch. das kann man durchaus verbessern.

We had a fantastic evening in the bar. We have been here several times because of the pleasant atmosphere, the delicious cocktails, the quality service and the live music. By chance we saw the cocktails being prepared and stuff like that discovered a shared love for taste experiences with the bartenders. This much can be said: the cocktails are an experience. If you would like to find out more, you should not miss a tasting and recommendation of the house.

In short: a very pleasant visit and the Xberg Duck menu is undoubtedly very delicious. Service and ambience were also impeccable throughout the entire visit. We really enjoyed being guests here. Oh yes: and possibly the tastiest fortune cookies we've ever had.

Der Abend war insgesamt sehr schön und das Essen wirklich lecker. Allerdings sind die Preise – besonders für die Ente pro Person – meiner Meinung nach nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Portionen sind sehr klein und eher übersichtlich, was angesichts des hohen Preises enttäuschend war. Geschmack und Ambiente haben überzeugt, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider nicht.

Ein Besuch, der sich gelohnt hat und unvergessen bleibt. Wir kommen wieder!

Very nice atmosphere with a cozy salon on the 5th floor and delicious food.

Service unfriendly at times, insincere at others; no conversation when the question of a bottle of wine was asked … sourdough bread and whipped brown butter was nice. Grainy filled dumpling in the soup. Duck Skin wasn’t crispy and under seasoned with the thick, egg tasting pancakes. Overcooked, slightly shrivelled breast with vinegary pac Choi. Then a small bowl of fried rice. What happened to the glorious bird that was presented to us at the start of the meal. The most satisfying mouthfuls came from the umami broth and a palette cleansing sorbet with citrus’.

Tolle Idee der Abwandlung einer Peking Ente! Das Menü war absolut köstlich von der Pelle bis zum Keulchen! Tausend Dank für die Geschmacks-Explosionen!!

Ein rundum perfektes Dinner in einer tollen Location mit super Service. Die Ente ist ein Muss!

NOT Traditional Peking Duck Unfortunately our expectations were not met. I came with my wife to eat authentic Peking duck. After a few recommendations, we didn't realize that we wouldn't find it here. When we arrived we first had to look for contact. Small aperitif for 17 euros, which unfortunately didn't appeal to me at all and just wasn't a good combination overall. Flavor explosion in the other direction. When we moved to the table, I stuck with the beer because the cocktail menu also just seemed a bit off. In other words, a normal, well-known cocktail was actually nowhere to be found. I just want to say one thing about food: It was good, but not what I expect from a Peking duck. The bird definitely came from a combi steamer or something similar and not a traditional oven. You can just see it! It is not evenly browned. The skin was transshiped and served to us with pancakes. But the skin didn't taste like anything! The side dishes were all much more present in each course than the main course itself. Duck breast and leg meat dumpling as well as the broth were top, the rest not so much. Sorry, but for over €300 that's just far too little for me. We won't come back and will book with the Asian next time

2024-11-30: We were here for the 5th time. This Peking duck is simply life-changing. Thanks to Philipp Vogel and especially to his employees. This time a charming young French lady accompanied us through the pleasant evening and recommended a wine that went well with the meal, the last three bottles of which we were able to enjoy alongside the delicious ducks. 2023-07-16: feasted on my birthday here. It was pure enjoyment again. A special greeting goes to the bar, who looked after us very carefully and for a long time. 😍 2023-03 and 2023-06 (2x 😘): We got to know and love this place through “Kitchen impossible”. The chef Philipp Lang was challenged by the Hamburg kitchen bull. He called Philipp a roast duck and that the Peking duck offered here was quite tasty. As the show progressed, Philipp Lang's likeable nature as well as the way he cooks and what is important to him made us curious. So I quickly booked a room in his hotel on one of our very rare free weekends in 2023 and a table for Saturday. In short: that was simply great, great, super, delicious! We quickly decided to repeat the whole thing at least once a year. In summary it should be noted: Hotel, room, bathroom: 5 out of 5 🌟 Restaurant, ambience: 5 out of 5 🌟 Staff and boss: 6 out of 5 🌟 Bar and bartender: 5 out of 5 🌟 Food (Peking duck): 7 out of 5 🌟 Breakfast: 5 out of 5 🌟 The fun doesn't come cheap. But we think it's definitely worth the price. As I said: we will definitely be back!

Wir waren das 5te Mal hier. Diese Pekingente ist einfach lebensverändernd. Danke an Philipp Vogel und erst recht an seine Mitarbeiter. Dieses Mal hat uns eine charmante junge französische Dame durch den an nehme Abend begleitet und uns einen hervorragend zum Essen passenden Wein empfohlen, dessen 3 letzte Flaschen wir neben den wieder überaus leckeren Enten genießen konnten.

Es ist weniger als es verspricht. Die super Bewertungen die es im Netz gibt, sind nicht nachvollziehbar. Bewertungen die eher im Bereich 3 liegen, spiegeln das ganze gut. Wer schon mal in Richtung Stern gegessen hat, wird sicher nicht schreiben, es war hervorragend. Das Peraonal ist zwar nett und freundlich aber nicht wirklich auf Service geschult. Die Livemusik war sehr gut aber auch sehr laut. Über den gesamten Abend gesehen, von uns eine klare nicht Empfehlung zu dem Preis.

Wir waren begeistert. Die XBergDuck hielt was sie versprach und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Der Service war super, leider war auf Grund der Lautstärke im Restaurant nicht jedes Wort der Servicekräfte zu verstehen. Die Weinempfehlungen des Hauses waren ebenfalls hervorragend. Demnach scheuen sie nicht, das Personal nach Rat bei der Getränkewahl zu fragen.

The Orania has a restaurant, lounge and bar area. We reserved a place in the restaurant months ago and were given a very friendly welcome. We were seated in the lounge area, which was largely covered. We ordered the X-Berg Duck Menu, which is why we came from Cologne. We really enjoyed the food, especially the skin course. Unfortunately we can only give three stars as there were a few aspects that made our stay less pleasant. The “sitting” in the lounge area was completely inappropriate for a longer dinner stay. After a while I couldn't for the life of me know how to sit down comfortably. The area is suitable for having a drink, but not at all for a longer meal. A highlight of Orania is the open kitchen, unfortunately I only saw it when entering and leaving. What we also didn't like was that we were seated directly at the cash register, which added little to the atmosphere and often distracted us. We were also repeatedly offered additional drinks or food to go with meals between meals - but for an extra charge. We found this intrusive and disturbing. In the end we left €290 in the Orania, but too many aspects didn't quite fit. We cannot therefore unreservedly recommend the Orania.

Our visit to the Orania restaurant in Berlin left mixed impressions. The menu itself was successful and showed a high quality of craftsmanship. Particularly noteworthy was the duck breast, which was really excellently prepared - juicy, aromatic and perfectly cooked. The taste of the skin was also very good, although a little too greasy for my taste. A weak point was the dumpling: the dough was extremely thin, tore quickly and didn't leave the best impression. I would have liked more classic soup dumplings here, which provide more substance and bite. Unfortunately the atmosphere left something to be desired. We sat in the lounge area on very uncomfortable seats, right next to the cash register, which was always a distraction. It was a shame for us that we were assigned this place, especially since we had reserved months in advance and traveled especially from Cologne. Another point of criticism was the additional offers during the meal. Between or with the courses we were offered caviar or additional drinks at an additional cost, which I found to be intrusive. Combined with the final bill of 290 euros, the visit felt unjustified in terms of price, especially compared to the expectations raised by the Orania's reputation. The service should be highlighted positively: The employees were always nice and courteous, which made the evening pleasant despite the weaknesses mentioned. Overall, the experience wasn't quite what I was hoping for. For the level and the prices, the Orania seems a bit overrated to me.

What a great bar. Live music and great drinks. Everyone is welcome. Simply Berlin from its beautiful side. Like it.

As is well known, where there is a lot of light, there is a lot of shadow. Broth, skin and pizza were very good, the fried rice as the last dish was unfortunately completely disappointing. The ambience, the very attentive service and the selection of Spiritus Rex brandies (warning, EXPENSIVE!) should be highlighted.

Great experience to celebrate a special occasion. Wonderful service and food. The decor of the place is very random though, a little old fashioned and unrelated to the marketing style of the xberg duck menu.

I was finally in Berlin with another person and we were able to order the duck. I'll keep it short and sweet: it was crazy. Every course was so hearty, one better than the other, you didn't want to miss any of them and it was really exciting how different a duck can be prepared. It's not classic fine dining, which of course you already know. Each dish hit you right in the heart and soul, which is why you would probably have eaten 20 of these plates at home. But I think it would be unfair to say that the portions were too small. I probably just eat too much. The dessert that was offered there is actually very worth mentioning. It completely amazed me. I've eaten a lot, often in restaurants where desserts play a big role, but the dessert there is on another level. This meant we could also take advantage (at least for us as guests) of sitting directly at the kitchen counter. We had to tell the patissière straight away our complete enthusiasm. We'll definitely be back!

A fantastic evening in Kreuzberg with the XBergDuckMenue. Unfortunately I wasn't warned about the coriander. That deducts one point. Otherwise, a pleasant atmosphere, relaxed service and good breaks between each course.

We treated ourselves to the Peking duck here. The food was outstanding! The service too, with a note: We had the menu, which included a sorbet, which we were offered to spice up with vodka or champagne. We only found out on the RG that alcohol wasn't included. A note on the menu or from the service staff would have been nice, for a shot glass of alcohol over the sorbet at least €8 - even if you think that it no longer plays a role at the price level (it's not mentioned for the caviar either, but in my opinion it is). logical). But in my opinion it should still be mentioned. The discovery of 2 hairs in one of the dishes was also only noted. I also don't think that the duck for 3 people offers as much more meat/skin as the duck for 2. But the price per person remains the same. So we found it rather disproportionate/outrageous. What was very nice at the end was the opportunity to go into the kitchen and get more information and see the special oven.

Im Großen und Ganzen ein schöner Abend. Jedoch muss man sagen das ab dem zweiten Gang der Service was Wein nachschenken angeht und mal fragen ob noch ein Flasche Wasser sein darf massiv nachgelassen hat. Aber dem Reis faktisch gar kein Service mehr. Ente als Hauptgang war von der Qualität des Produktes sehr gut , jedoch im verglich von der kreativen und geschmacklichen Seite uns zu simple , fehlte einfach das gewisse etwas. Aber ein schöner Laden mit guten Prudukten. Alles Gute

Haben uns hier die Pekingente gegönnt. Das Essen war hervorragend! Der Service auch, mit einer Anmerkung: Wir hatten das Menü, enthalten war ein Sorbet, das man uns anbot mit Wodka oder Champagner etwas aufzupeppen. Das der Alkohol nicht incl war, erfuhren wir erst auf der RG. Ein Hinweis in der Karte oder des Servicepersonals wäre nett gewesen, für ein Schnapsglas Alkohol über dem Sorbet immerhin 8€ - auch wenn man meint das in dem preislichen Niveau es keine Rolle mehr spielt (Wird beim Kaviar auch nicht erwähnt, da ist es aber mE logisch). Sollte aber m.E. trotzdem erwähnt werden. Auch glaube ich nicht, dass die Ente für 3 Personen soviel mehr an Fleisch/Haut bietet wie die Ente für 2. Der Preis pP bleibt aber der gleiche. So empfanden wir es eher als unverhältnismäßig/unverschämt. Sehr nett war hingegen am Schluss die Möglichkeit in die Küche zu gehen und noch mehr Info zu erhalten und den speziellen Ofen zu sehen.

Hervorragendes Entenmenü. Sehr netter Service. Als es voll wurde kamen sie leider nicht mehr so hinterher. 1-2 Leute mehr würden sicher helfen. Die Tische stehen etwas eng beieinander, aber insgesamt sehr ansprechend eingerichtet.

Meine Freundin und ich haben einen sehr schönen Abend im Restaurant verbracht. Mit einem tollen Pianisten war das Ambiente wirklich atemberaubend. Das Servicepersonal hat die einzelnen Gänge bestens beschrieben, damit die Gäste einen Überblick bekommen, was sie final serviert bekommen. Persönliche Wünsche werden vom Haus entgegen genommen. Es war eine sehr tolle Erfahrung das Pekingenten Menü zu kosten und es ist sicher, dass wir wieder kommen werden.

Transparente Spitzenküche, alles hat gestimmt. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, was für frische Zutaten und Qualität spricht. Wir entschieden uns für den Renner des Hauses, das Entenmenü, und wurden bei keinem Gang enttäuscht. Eine echte Empfehlung und ein Highlight in Kreuzberg.

Das Essen war hervorragend und der Serviece waren ausgesucht freundlich. Insgesamt ein wundervoller Abend.

Es ist uns ein Rätsel, wie ein 3-Sterne-Koch (Christian Bau) die Pekingente im Orania als "Deutschlands beste Pekingente" bezeichnen kann (WamS, 23.07.2024). Allenthalben Mittelmaß. Dazu ein unprofessionelles, nur mäßig freundliches Personal. Und warum für ein Sorbet, das als Teil der Menüfolge auf der Karte steht, schwuppdiwupp nochmal jeweils 8 Euro berechnet werden (dies ohne vorherige Ankündigung; erst der Blick auf die Rechnung offenbarte dies), erschließt sich wohl niemandem. Die Kellnerin antwortete dann auf unseren Hinweis, dass wir diesen Posten der Rechnung nicht würden bezahlen wollen, "Dann nehmen wir das wieder raus, wenn wir Sie damit glücklich machen" - in einer derart schnippischen, frechen Art und Weise, dass man die Geschäftsführung eigentlich hätte rufen müssen. Wir sagten uns, raus hier, ein mehr als enttäuschender Abend - für immerhin knapp 300 Euro für zwei Personen. Nie wieder!

The ambience, atmosphere, service, food and cocktails created a wonderful overall picture. It was a really great experience and almost perfect except for a few little things. I'll definitely stop by again for a few drinks (although €18 isn't for those on a tight budget) and the music. I particularly liked the fact that even when I looked closely, nothing seemed cheap.

I had the pleasure of dining at Orania Berlin and it was simply amazing! The duck in particular was excellent – ​​perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was absolutely top – 10 out of 10! The staff was friendly, attentive and made sure we felt completely comfortable. All in all, a wonderful experience that I can fully recommend. If you're looking for a great restaurant in Berlin, you've come to the right place!

Asking for credit card details over the phone is dubious. Especially for a same day booking in 2 hours. Previously, additional data was queried without indicating what else is being queried. It's about a visit to a restaurant and not about a loan agreement. Come on.

We enjoyed our first visit at Orania tremendously. The staff was super attentive and quick.

The food was incredibly delicious, each course had its own charm and made the experience even more special. The complimentary chocolate finish was the perfect finale and rounded off the menu brilliantly. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We were there with our toddler and the treatment was simply fantastic. A lot of patience and understanding was shown, even toys were provided. When our child became restless, he was allowed to look behind the scenes in the kitchen - an incredibly nice gesture! The wine selection was also first class. Overall, a wonderful stay with a great offer and a wonderful team. We would love to come back!

We had to ask if we could order drinks and we also had to ask several times about the wine list Then a sorbet was brought to the table without mentioning that there was an extra charge, but with the statement that it was a greeting from the kitchen, and then we were charged €8 per person for it, even though we had never ordered it.

Orania is a special place. I almost don’t want to post this, Because it is my special place… and I would love if there was always room for me at the bar. But credit is due, so here I go! From its exterior, a beautiful building with a fancy hotel inside. Both true, but often that is it… Orania is so much more! In the morning It’s a great breakfast and quality cappuccino, in the evening it’s an excellent restaurant, and one of the most perfect bars I have ever experienced. I have been to many beautiful hotels, with quality ingredients, but the Orania team really takes it to the next level. Special thanks to Julian and Jacob, who are just the most charming and professional bartenders. And dear Kitchen, this is the best Caesar salad I have had since I can remember! Can I add sliced grilled X-Berg duck breast?! Bravo to the live musicians! 👏🫶

Das Menü ist großartig. Peking Ente erfolgreich übersetzt nach Berlin. Wir haben alles genossen, lediglich bei der Anzahl der Pfannkuchen im Verhältnis zur Hautmenge könnte man etwas nachjustieren. Der Service war Klasse. Besonders positiv erwähnen will ich hier das konsequente Branding mit Witz und Stil. Besonders im Fall des Weins (Dreissigacker Weißburgunder X-Berg Duck) wurde der perfekte Begleiter stilecht mit der eigenen Marke verbunden. Ganz großes Kompliment. Wir kommen gerne jederzeit wieder.

I applied to the restaurant as a trainee, unfortunately the HR manager was very unfriendly and canceled me for next year, without an offer to try out work or a personal invitation. If every company treats interested trainees like this, the catering industry will die, which is a shame.

I was lucky enough to be able to try the Peking duck or the x duck menu. The atmosphere and the service were sensational. The trainees who accompanied us throughout the evening were also excellent. I actually have no objections to the food, but I still only give it 4 stars because the second course overshadowed all the other courses to the maximum. The skin wrapped in crepes with ginger, hoisin, sugar were just wow! It's worth coming to Berlin for the experience.

We have wanted to eat duck here for a long time and were not disappointed. The food was excellent with surprising and exciting moments. Here you are in the upper price segment and get a wonderful taste experience in a very nice ambience with very courteous service. Four of us ate Peking duck. We also have fantastically good desserts had. We were able to spend an evening here that met all of our expectations. Thank you for that, we'll be happy to come back!

Service freundlich aber zu langsam. Peking-Ente wurde nicht bis zum Gast angeboten, leider nur ca. 150 Gramm pro Person bei einer 3Kg Ente??? Speisen waren kalt ( Pfannkuchen, Entenhaut...) Preis - Leistung ist nicht i.O. Schade. Trinkgeld gab es trotzdem 30,-€. Ihr könnt es besser ....

Ein unglaubliches Erlebnis. Vom Service bis zum Essen, einfach alles hat gestimmt! Wir hatten einen ausgezeichneten Abend und kommen absolut gerne wieder. Solch ein gutes Essen und tollen Service erlebt man nicht alle Tage. Von der Bedienung über die KöchInnen bis zum Chef leisten super Arbeit und sind unsagbar herzlich. Hier kann man dem stressigen Alltag super entkommen und puren Genuss erleben. Danke für den tollen Abend.

We had a wonderful evening in the restaurant with our #xbergduck. Brilliant menu, highly recommended and super friendly service. We are thrilled and will be back.
