Sorry, but you can also find this in every conventional 0815 sushi shop...if not even at the Rewe sushi counter...zero in particular!!!

Casual fine dining, that sums it up. Really tasty, really nice. The neighboring table was just too close for my taste, about a hand's width.

I had been looking forward to the sushi for a while, but unfortunately the creations didn't impress me and the service wasn't particularly great either. Was always ignored by the waitress and her attention was only focused on the man at the table. The sushi at GO is on par in terms of quality and has better creations.

An absolute culinary highlight!

The sushi was excellent, especially for our vegetarian at the table (Ono pure and Nature). My Sushi Crunchy California and Spicy Tuna Roll was fine, it came off a bit plain. Tuna truffles as a starter, tasted unique! The Yakitotri chicken skewers were also tasty, but I didn't find the sauce with them particularly exciting. We found the beef fillet too covered in sauce that tasted quite sweet, soaked in a light sauce and the meat was a bit soft and flabby. Not quite our case. There was also solid sour cream puree. The dessert, Chocolate Malheur, tasted good, with mango sorbet and cherries. There was a liquid core in the cake, as it should be. The staff are very friendly and service-oriented.

You get what you pay for. The service was great, the food was great and the whole evening was just lovely. We had the omakase menu and would do it again and again.

I've eaten at Henssler Henssler several times and I was really impressed. Since the restaurant was closed, we went to ONO. Food, tasted great as expected, but the portions were really small for the price. The service was extremely overwhelmed, but still friendly. The card was only given to us 10 minutes later after we arrived. We were told that there is usually greetings from the kitchen, which I also knew from the other restaurant, but it wasn't served either. It also took a long time to be able to order. Now about the ambience, everything was a bit tight. The tables were lined up next to each other and you couldn't really have a conversation. The toilet desperately needs a renovation, other lower priced restaurants are much cleaner and more presentable.

Such a great restaurant. The service is super friendly and accommodating. All employees provide competent information about drinks and food and, if necessary, even ask questions in the kitchen. The omakase menu is highly recommended. Price-performance ratio is more than consistent here. Super tasty and beautifully presented courses - a taste explosion. Very creative and incredibly exciting. Of course you will also be full. The ambience is quite acceptable, although the seating is a bit cramped. Definitely not the last visit there. Big compliments to the great team.

As a sushi lover you definitely shouldn't miss Ono by Steffen Henssler. The sushi is fresh and high quality, and you can feel the attention to detail in every bite. However, the price is high, and although the sushi definitely belongs in my top 5, I don't think the price-performance ratio is quite balanced. You can get sushi of this class for cheaper elsewhere Enjoy the price without paying so much for service and ambience. Overall it's a great place, but for me personally it's not a place I would eat at on a regular basis.

This is probably the best sushi I have ever eaten in Europe. It is simple sushi that is refined with some ingredient that no one knows about. It's a must for every sushi lover who lives or visits Hamburg, even if it all comes at a price. The service was very nice and attentive which led to a good overall experience. The atmosphere is very appropriate and simple, which is a sign of good quality. Highly recommended.

A few years after my first visit, the same first-class quality. The food is a delight for all the senses and the service is first class. What contributes to the feel-good factor is that although it is a nice, upscale atmosphere, you don't feel out of place (at lunch at least) even in a sightseeing look. We paid around 180 € plus tip for the sushi platter for 2 people including tempura (good filling), 2 glasses of champagne, 2 desserts (coconut parfait on passion fruit mousse with a thin layer of chocolate).

Exceptional, good cuisine! Consistently at a high level for years! The fish is fried with a sure hand! The skin is crispy and the fish flesh is still glassy! The whole thing combined with kale in whole leaves! Simply a pleasure!

The food is simply great. We have been visiting ONO for many years and the sushi is simply top. Both in terms of taste, freshness and the way it is prepared. It also just looks great. Unfortunately, the tables are still very small and sitting next to the curtain is not that nice. The placemats were stained, which shouldn't be the case given the price.

We sat on the terrace and found the atmosphere very pleasant, even if the tables were a bit narrow. The service was courteous. The food was first class, especially the sashimi. The prices are already high.

Expectations were exceeded, the omakase menu is varied, balanced and absolutely filling. The dishes were well thought out and you can taste that until the end - the last course was sushi, not a sweet dessert. The absolute taste explosion was the mango sorbet soaked in sake. A sake tasting was chosen as a companion for the evening - from very classic sake to completely new flavors! Absolute recommendation

Great atmosphere, first-class sushi, very friendly service

We reserved a table easily and at relatively short notice via OpenTable. We had a very nice evening with delicious food. The Spicy Edamame are highly recommended as a starter. For the main course we treated ourselves to the mixed sushi platter for 4 people. The sushi has a truly incredible quality and the taste was to die for. The truffle foam is also a stunner. The service can also be praised. Since the restaurant was full, our main course took about 1.5 hours to arrive. That was a bit annoying, but nothing that the service couldn't save. As others have already written, it is relatively loud in the restaurant (at least when it is full). But it didn't bother me personally.

We treated ourselves to the 3-course lunch menu. Not expensive at all, 41 euros! Water is included for free. I had a delicious, non-alcoholic spritz for 10 euros. Super tasty, stylishly prepared. Nice terrace to sit on.

Preferably even 7 stars, simply a really great restaurant with a feel-good character. The staff is first class and simply great, the food is more than perfect and leaves you completely enchanted. Thank you for this fantastic evening

Good place for dinner. It is true that when it comes to Japanese food I have higher expectations, but within the parameters it is correct. Perhaps a point to note is the price, quite high prices depending on which dishes since they lack presentation and flavor in my humble opinion.

The Ono by Steffen Henssler offers excellent service that makes the visit pleasant. Unfortunately, the food is only mediocre and the location could be more impressive. Overall, the restaurant earns four out of five stars, largely thanks to the outstanding staff.

It took me a long time to make it to “Ono”… you don’t do that every day. Ok, if you can afford it, you should do it every day. I am, or was, not a sushi fan because my first experiences with sushi were negative. What is served here is top shelf! I and all of my table guests were more than thrilled. Solid California style sushi. Good drink in advance! Not for lovers of traditional sushi cuisine. Service was excellent. Personally, I prefer the other branch. Maybe it's worth it for the menu, which will be next time, which I'm looking forward to.

The sushi is a guaranteed 10 on a scale of 1-10, the restaurant is a bit nicer, it's quiet and you can enjoy your food well, the price is clear for the quality and is fair

Lots of mayo - little fish. We had the menu, 6 courses at €80 each, wine extra. Tonna Tonnato was a very nice idea, unfortunately the yellowfin tuna drowned in mayonnaise. The same with the lettuce with 4 shrimps - sappy and salty. Very unfortunate. The good ingredients no longer come through. The sushi at the end was also covered in sweet, sticky sauce. The noble, fine quality has been lost and the price is too high. Service was nice but unremarkable.

The restaurant offers an excellent selection of delicious dishes such as sushi or a changing 6-course menu in a cozy atmosphere. The service was very friendly and very attentive, and the food was simply delicious. With a bit of luck you will also meet the boss Steffen Henssler in person, and he is a very young and likeable boss and I am happy to see that the own boss also eats at his own place because that is what they stand for. I can only highly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!"

Here you can have very good sushi at a high price. The service was quite good, but became less energetic as the evening and courses progressed. The number of tables is definitely too many for the staff and the small table size is almost uncomfortable. As soon as the room fills up, it quickly becomes quite loud. All in all good, but definitely room for improvement.

I find it remarkable that the quality has remained constant over the years (since 2014). We always enjoy coming here or picking up an ONO mix after work.

I received this trip to Hamburg as a gift for Christmas. Ono was on the agenda for today. We were completely thrilled. The food is to die for, the staff is very nice and incredibly attentive. We treated ourselves to the 6-course menu and raved about every single course. The price/performance ratio is right! And yes, it could be a little quieter. We'll definitely be back.

I had dinner there with my girlfriend today. Since I'm not a fish fan, I had the beef and my girlfriend had sushi. The food was very tasty 🤤. Meat extremely tender and with a fine sauce. The sushi was also very tasty. The service was super friendly and the food came very quickly. Can highly recommend the restaurant 👌🏻.

Starters and desserts were good, fusion cuisine and fusion sushi are good. The price-performance ratio for standard sushi doesn't match at all. The ingredients were fresh and that was the highlight. The InsideOut Rolls were poorly rolled, had little filling and were barely wrapped in rice. More than half broke when trying to eat them. For 8 rolls in Maki size, €15 is simply too much. The restaurant is modernly furnished and you can see a lot of staff who are also attentive and approachable. All in all, the visit was just “OK” for us, which is largely due to the price-performance ratio.

The food, drinks and service were really great. We had soup as a starter, sushi variations in the main course and a dessert. Stylistically upscale atmosphere inside, very cozy outside when the weather is good. The tables for 2 could be a corner larger. Staff really friendly and accommodating. No long waiting times for food or anything else. Only the audience is occasionally a bit irritating. In this price range I would actually expect that you wouldn't be able to wear flip flops and flip flops or that children would be able to display a minimum level of behavior. For vacationers or not-so-wealthy people, this could also be a special gift/experience/date and not an everyday dinner at the sushi shop around the corner. (The restaurant can't primarily do anything about it, but it could be controlled/prevented a little more actively).

There were two of us and we chose the Ono's Omakase menu (6 courses). It was excellently prepared and highly recommended in terms of taste. Great price for the quality.

The three of us had lunch at Ono Restaurant on Sunday and it was an overall good meal, with great service. Small guests are also welcome.

A recommendation for absolutely everyone! We were greeted extremely friendly with a smile at the entrance and the further service was also great. We were completely satisfied with the food and drinks, so we are already looking forward to our next visit!

The food was very tasty, but I have never seen the waitress demand such a massive tip, it was outrageous.

Booked Hamburg for the weekend, worked out in advance where we could eat gluten-free because one of us has celiac disease. Nice welcome, great location. Unfortunately, we only found out on site that sushi can contain traces of gluten, which is an absolute no-go if you have celiac disease. Unfortunately, gluten-free soy sauce is of no use at all. It's a real shame and absolutely disappointing for us. For all those affected by celiac disease, we would like such concepts to be reconsidered. Unfortunately we cannot give a review. Too bad!

Outstanding! Amazing sushi that is second to none!

One of my favorite restaurants! From the ambience to the staff to the food, everything is just right. Anyone who loves fish is definitely in the right place at Ono, the variations are amazing!

Briefly in advance: the sushi and the food in general was fantastically delicious! I have rarely eaten so well. The staff was also great: friendly, attentive and quick. The service is also 1a. BUT: unfortunately the food was no longer fresh! I hung over the toilet all night and lay flat for 3 days. I actually didn't want to write a bad review because I thought that something like that could happen (it's always hard to attribute something like that to the place) and I didn't want to write anything that would be damaging to the business. However, I have now found an article about a food inspection that recently failed catastrophically (Bremen location): dirt, mold, poor storage of the fish, ... It's best to google the article yourself (Henssler food inspection ...). With this information and my experience, this can no longer be a coincidence and it seems to be a more fundamental problem at Henssler's locations. That's why I wanted to at least warn others or inform others about it. I can only hope that they can get such problems under control. Based on my experience, I can currently only advise against visiting Henssler or Ono.

Basically everything was good but I'm unsure whether the price-performance ratio is really right. The sorbet ice cream at the end was to die for.

Food 5 stars plus Service was tried but very rushed. The 6 courses came very quickly, without asking. Maybe it was due to the form of the day or the lack of personnel. Friendly 3 stars for this. Ambience 5 stars Price/performance fits well.

We don't need to talk about the food. Delicious !!! But the restaurant doesn't work at all. It's uncomfortable, incredibly loud and impersonal! Eating and getting out is the order of the day there! A bit like being in a canteen. I will not go to the restaurant a second time and unfortunately I cannot recommend it!!!

What, I can only give 5 stars?????? I went to 'Ono' yesterday with my wife for her birthday and we literally enjoyed every moment of it! (Yes, even the moment when I had to pull out the credit card ;-) ) From the pleasant ambience, the dim lighting, the furnishings, the open kitchen to the extremely friendly and courteous service to the fantastic sushi creations, our visit to 'Ono' - as they say today - 'flashed' us! We didn't notice the supposedly annoying noise, even though the restaurant was quite full. All in all, it was a memorable evening and we will definitely be back soon. I HAVE to eat a DUCK ROLL again!!!

Forgotten food, a dish was so salty that my tongue burned afterwards, and the right drink wasn't served. Forgot more drinks. Nothing was done to the invoice amount. Too bad.

Ein toller Abend mit Freunden im ono by Steffen Henssler. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Die Sushi-Platte "New Style" für vier Personen ist variationsreich und alle Sushis waren super lecker im Geschmack. Mixed Tempura mit Trüffelponzu. Die Sauce war mein Highlight. Das Schokodessert war alles andere als ein "Malheur". Zusammengefasst kulinarisch mein bester Abend in 2023.

Tolles Essen, superfreundliche Bedienungen, aber es ist viel zu laut und die Tische sehr eng gestellt.

Das Sushi ist topp. Da gibt es nix zu meckern. Ich glaube viel mehr geht nicht. Der Service ist technisch gesehen tadellos. Es wird für alles zügig gesorgt. Das Essen kam sehr schnell, fast schon zu schnell. So, dass das Vergnügen dann ja doch recht schnell vorbei ist. Der Service wirkt für mich ein bisschen distanziert und nicht, als ob es von Herzen kommt und den Kunden in den Mittelpunkt stellt. Das geht noch besser. Das Ambiente ist ja genau wie das Essen selbst ebenfalls eine Geschmackssache. Im Vergleich zum H&H jedenfalls viel, viel gediegener. Ich find's gut. In jedem Fall ist das Ono einen Besuch wert. Komme bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder.

Wir haben unseren Hochzeitstag bei Euch genossen und es war sehr, sehr lecker! Wenn nichts dagegen spricht, würden wir gerne wieder kommen!

Mal wieder ein absolut positives Erlebnis! Phantasievolle und äußerst leckere Gerichte (z.B. offene Ravioli) und ein geradezu überbordend freundlicher Service. So macht Dinnieren auch auf höherem Preisniveau Spaß!

Sehr gutes Essen, toller Service

Tolles Restaurant mit schnellem, aufmerksamen und unaufdringlichem Service. Gute Auswahl an Speisen. Die Speisen sind alles sehr lecker. Eine kleine Reklamation wurde professionell zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit bearbeitet. Hier komme ich gerne wieder her.

Wer Sushi Fan ist und auf gute Qualität Wert legt ist hier genau richtig. Wir haben uns mit der New Style Variation überraschen lassen und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Besonders hervorzuheben war das Hamachi Sashimi und das extrem knusprige Tempura. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt ist die Lautstärke im Restaurant.

ÄäWäre es dort nicht so laut gewesen, dann würde ich die Sterne 🌟 noch erhöhen. Von der Lautstärke des Restaurants waren wir überrascht, aber von der Qualität der Speisen sehr überrascht. Wir haben uns das 4 Gänge Menü für 75 Euro pro Person erlaubt. Es war traumhaft lecker 😋, aber die Lautstärke im Restaurant hemmt es ein wenig.

Lecker, für den Preis kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. Wenn ich zu zweit 180€ bezahle möchte ich eigentlich gern satt werden. Der Tisch war zur Reservierungszeit noch nicht fertig, ungemütliches da sehe lautes Ambiente.

Aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Service, Qualität des Essens top und gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Bei größeren Gruppen kann es durchaus etwas lauter sein, aber dennoch ein super Restaurant und eine ganz klare Empfehlung!
