Aus Düsseldorf anlässlich des Geburtstags unseres in Frankfurt lebenden Sohnes gekommen. Auf der Suche nach einem "guten Griechen" auf das Omonia gestoßen. Die weite Anfahrt hat sich absolut gelohnt... Ausgezeichnetes Essen, super sympathisches Serviceteam, sehr schöne Atmosphäre draußen auf der Terrasse. Portionen groß, aber noch schaffbar. Preise etwas gehobene Kategorie, aber vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis vollkommen in Ordnung. Absolute Empfehlung. Spätestens nächstes Jahr kommen wir wieder...

Courteous service. Excellent meal on a warm summer evening. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately it was a total failure. The food (calamari) came to the table cold. Upon request, it was heated again, which resulted in it being partially burned. Unfortunately the salad was not fresh and had dark spots throughout. Finally, the waiter poured the drink onto his pants and the table. Unfortunately not recommended. Too bad.

As always, a great experience. Sometimes the service staff can be a bit grumpy, but the food is always delicious in every respect.

We arrived before 7pm. One of the waiters (who was continuously arguing) took our order but did not inform anyone else until 50 minutes later when someone else decided to check on us. Our actual waiter was doing very well, but we could see how tired he was of fighting with the other guy. Food took very long but was very tasty. A pity that the level of service does not match the prices. I have eaten here a few times and can conclude “very good food, disorganized service, not cheap”.

With the best will in the world, how can you rate this restaurant with so many stars. The entertainer in service confuses the guests when ordering. Tries to persuade the guest to place expensive orders. We felt like we were on the Reberbahn in a cheap amateur film that tried to impress its guests with cheap sayings. In addition, the chef de service sets his own tip and he rudely and directly pointed out to the guest that he didn't want to tip enough. Although the tip was already 10%. Something like that is just outrageous and stupid. We would recommend going to another Greek restaurant because that's just not possible. Visited so many restaurants...but that was a complete rip-off and audacity. Please be careful not to allow yourself to be lulled. to respond to cheap and slimy sayings. Food was ok... but prices were exorbitant.!!!!!!

The food was amazing. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers, all served fresh with authentic flavors. The grilled octopus and lamb chops were highlights, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was top-notch. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. We even got Mastika shots on the house! Overall, dining outside at Omonia is a must do. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a charming outdoor setting makes it a perfect spot for a memorable evening. Five stars, without a doubt 😊

Came here through a friend. Warmly welcomed and looked after, everyone does a great job. The food, we had plenty of it, a dream. You feel like you are in Greece. Thank you for the great evening, and the fact that we were allowed to overdo something over time was not a given. Keep it up, we'll be back!

Durch einen Freund hierher gekommen.Herzlich begrüßt und bewirtet worden, alle machen einen tollen Job. Das Essen, wir hatten davon reichlich, ein Traum. Man fühlt sich als wäre man in Griechenland. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend, auch das wir etwas überziehen durften mit der Zeit war nicht selbstverständlich. Weiter so, wir kommen wieder!

Eine köstliche Erfahrung. Originelle und sehr gute Gerichte. Ausgezeichnetes Rohmaterial, sehr gut gekocht. Sehr beschäftigtes Restaurant, aber schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

Unfortunately, a disappointing visit, in which our order was on the one hand incomplete - bread and the main course side dishes of baked potatoes, vegetables, salad were missing - and on the other hand, especially in the case of the most expensive seafood dish on the menu (plate with 3 scampi, 3 pieces of calamari, a medium-long octopus arm, for 35€) the quality wasn't right at all: the scampis tasted musty on the inside - i.e. no longer completely fresh - and the seafood had no taste at all apart from a slight grilled note. The olives we ordered were supposed to come with white bread, which was initially completely missing, then a basket of completely dried out bread was brought to us, and the freshness only improved when we asked again. The average Google rating of 4.3 cannot be understood. Price and performance are not at all balanced in this restaurant. Unfortunately, we don’t recommend it.

The food was very tasty but there were huge differences in portion sizes. The waiter's loud announcements to his staff came across as very aggressive, even if you didn't understand them. Everyone tended to be very stressed because the place was pretty full. At the table itself, all the service staff were friendly. However, we were not asked if we would like another dessert. My husband had the seat cushion taken away from him without warning while he was sitting down, quite strange. The ambience is very nice.

Nice Greek restaurant with good service and delicious food. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right at all.

There were four of us there, we shared a starter plate for two people (approx. €30), each a main course (approx. €25 pp) and two desserts as well as two bottles of white wine (approx. 2x€40) + two waters - all in approx. €250. Of course, this hefty price comes with a certain expectation, which the Omonia unfortunately could not meet. The mixed starter plate for two was standard at best. My main course: lamb chops with side dishes for €34 were really poor and a maximum of 150g of meat (unfortunately well done instead of medium) + small side dishes. When we pointed out that the dish was a bit small (absolutely untypical for a Greek), the answer was that it would be more next time. - I would also like to demonstrate this self-confidence with maximum moderate performance more often. Location is cool, typical Greek atmosphere with mediocre, overpriced cuisine. Conclusion: 3.5* we won't come by again.

Wir waren viele Jahre Stammgäste und gehen jetzt nicht mehr hin. Grund dafür ist der Service . Der Arrogante und immer laut schreiender Restaurantleiter der denkt das er Gott ist und die Gäste fast befehlt was sie essen sollen und wann. Schade aber alle hat mal ein Ende .

We have been to Omonia quite often. Not cheap, but we always liked it. Until yesterday evening: Waited almost 2 hours for the food, only after asking several times did we realize that we had obviously been forgotten. After the starter, neither the empty aperitif glasses nor the used dishes were cleared away. Waiter to reorder drinks? None. The sea bream, which was served after almost 2 hours, was really well done. Apparently spent the 2 hours in the pan. Absolutely fried. Paid almost 200 euros for three people. That's ok if everything is right, but this was an absolute failure. A complete failure for a birthday dinner.

Overcrowded, completely overwhelmed location where Greek food is served off an assembly line. We waited half an hour for a menu and an hour for food. Less would be more! Many people suffer from a lack of staff, but then perhaps the number of tables on the street should be reduced. With a service like this, no ouzo on the house is more helpful than making up for it!

Wonderful Greek, super delicious food with great service. The prices are more than fair to the quality of the food. We'll be back!

We were there last week and I must say it has changed a lot from the past. We received olives with a dead wasp inside and it’s real fortune that I saw it, otherwise I would risk severe conditions! A waiter did not listen to us, has always something negative to say, but as he was saying it with a smile I felt really confused. At some point he started to blame us for the things he did not hear well, as he was leaving our table before our reaction. Table for two is so small that food did not fit it… food was okeish, as now the restaurant is very big to fit with small tables more people, the quality was just ok. It seems to be really crowded and loud for me. Service forgot to bring us side salads. Overall it seems it lost its charm.

I love it when hosts do their job with heart. If that's what you're looking for, you've come to the right place for delicious food.

Location, service, food excellent. I was briefly in Greece.

The food is ALWAYS very good, no matter what I have chosen so far (in the last three years). It's impressive how the service manages to take care of the many guests - always friendly, mostly fast, sometimes rustic 🇬🇷, because it's just always full. That means it's sometimes louder than I'd like, but that's just wild, delicious life.

If you are looking for authentic Greek cuisine in a great atmosphere, I can highly recommend Omonia! It's a place not to be missed! Always happy ☺️

We had dinner there with 6 people in the evening. The food was very tasty, the prices were reasonable, the service was very good. Even moving to a shadier table (drinks and some appetizers were already on the table) was no problem at all. We were very satisfied and will come back. Thank you

We came with a larger group a couple of nights ago and had a lovely time sitting outside. The service was prompt & accommodating, the food fresh and rich in flavour. Good price/value. Only remark: quite limited selection (other than starters) for vegetarians. Other than that, all good!

Food is ok, but way too overpriced! We had mixed starters and a gyro plate, everything tasted good, but not a culinary highlight. The prices are quite high. The service did its duty, but often seemed annoyed because we were a larger group and had some questions about the dishes or expressed requests. The ambience itself is nice, but unfortunately it was very loud when the tables were full. We also sat quite closely between the counter, the waiters' shelf and the patio door, which unfortunately wasn't ideal. Conclusion: See and be seen more than coming here for the food.

As a starter we shared the mezze plate for one person and were able to try a little of everything. My favorite was the fava and white beans. For the main course I had the Bifteki, which was unfortunately a bit dry for my taste, but all in all we had a very nice evening at Omonia. The service is definitely worth highlighting!

Tolles Essen, tolles Ambiente. Allerdings sind die Preise wirklich zu hoch. Hier zahlt man teilweise mehr als das Doppelte im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Restaurants. Und das Essen ist wirklich gut, aber keinesfalls diesen Preis wert. Außerdem wird wirklich ALLES mit vollem Preis berechnet. Ich hatte zu meinem Hauptgericht um eine kleine Schale Tzaziki gebeten. Dafür musste ich den vollen Preis einer Vorspeise bezahlen. Kleine Zugaben sollten bei den Preisen inklusive sein, das ist das Mindeste!

The OMONIA restaurant is absolutely outstanding. Especially thanks to the fantastic lamb chops I ate. I am always amazed by the welcoming atmosphere and the attentive and friendly service. The wines are top class and a taste experience, especially in combination with the food. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned and seared to perfection, juicy and tender, with a rich, aromatic flavor. The side dishes and the presentation of the dish were also simply outstanding. The service was also excellent. The staff is always friendly and very attentive. I always enjoy coming back to Frankfurt from Wiesbaden to spend a great evening at OMONIA. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary Greek evening with excellent food and first-class service. And if you would like to enjoy a nightcap afterwards, you can enjoy it in the separate bar area; It couldn't be better!

Food very good. Service, however, was sometimes very intrusive and didactic. I wouldn't expect unpleasant comments (especially in relation to women) and cheeky answers from the waiters in a restaurant like this.

The food and service is really good, but the drinks prices are completely exorbitant! e.g. A bottle of Gerolsteiner 0.7 liters for €8.90 is significantly more than that for this type of restaurant!

Es ist schön dass manche Leute so wohlwollend und überschwenglich über dieses griechische Restaurant schreiben und offenbar jede Menge Zeit für ihren Aufenthalt gewährt bekommen. Wir jedoch bekamen schon unmittelbar nach unserer Ankunft die Ansage, dass wir ein Zeitfenster für unseren Aufenthalt von maximal 2 Stunden hätten. Das an sich ist eigentlich schon eine Frechheit und eine klare und deutliche Absage an Gastfreundlichkeit und welche die zahlende Kundschaft offenbar als Belästigung empfinden. Wenn die Bestellung dann auch noch fehlerhaft verläuft zweifelt man dann schon an der Professionalität des Personals welche scheinbar, oder besser ausgedrückt, komplett überfordert ist. Es ist einfach schrecklich 2 Stunden dort auszuhalten, zudem ist es sehr hektisch, irritierend, chaotisch und erinnert eigentlich an eine Massenabfertigung bei erschreckend unterdurchschnittlicher Qualität. Leute…das kann man sehr viel besser machen und dazu gehört nur ganz wenig. Die dort durchgeschleusten Gästen spülen vielleicht viel Geld in die Kasse und genau das wird dort dann auch ganz schnell spürbar. Ein Restaurant bei welchem der Gast zuviele Kompromisse eingehen muss, um bei dieser deutlich gehobener Preisklasse einen angenehmen und entspannten Aufenthalt zu haben, muss einfach mehr bieten als das was wir an diesem Abend erlebt haben. Fazit: Absolut enttäuschend was den Service, die Gastfreundschaft und die absolut mangelbehafteteten Künste der unbedingt verbesserungswürdigen Küche anbelangt. Jede x- beliebige Imbissbude macht fast schon mehr her!!

Omonia always works if you have the necessary change with you. The starters are awesome, the main courses are good, the desserts are very tasty. The staff is quick and very service-oriented, so in my opinion there is nothing to complain about. We've been there several times and recently had Matze as service, just a great guy. We thank him for the lovely evening.

I can say that it was the best Mediterranean cuisine I have eaten in Frankfurt. Beybi artichoke squid grit appetizer and fava grilled plates were very good. I did not like the sweet laz borek. But the food is very good, the prices are a little high but it is worth it. Congratulations.

Schönes authentisches Restaurant mit gutem Essen und Trinken. Freundlicher Service.

Ich kann die letzten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen bezüglich limitiertem Aufenthalt und Hetze. Wir konnten ganz entspannt erst einen Aperitif, dann die Vorspeise und danach die Hauptspeise wählen und haben insgesamt 4,5 Stunden im Restaurant verbracht, ohne rausgebeten zu werden. Und das an einem Samstag! Der Service war sehr nett, das Essen super lecker und die Atmosphäre auch sehr schön. Gerne wieder.

Food was good. However, at such prices I also expect authentic, nice service. The friendliness seems a bit artificial and artificial. The sayings are repeated at the tables as if you were playing a cassette over and over again. It's not mine... Maybe others like it. Because if it were real, then you would respond to the request “whether I could have an espresso instead of a shot on the house” and not dismiss the customer with a “No!!!” It does not work !! “. I found it a bit shameful. Then it's better not to offer it to the guests at all than to react so unprofessionally in such situations. There are other reviews that talk about “unpleasant nonsense”. I can also confirm this feeling.

Excellent food. Very fast service but a bit intrusive. Was there for the second time in my life, the last time was 3 years ago. But was approached as an old acquaintance and regular guest of the house. The red wine deserves 6 stars! The 0.24 l cost €9.90; But it was worth it.

We spontaneously went by on a Saturday evening and got a place for two. The waiters were super friendly and accommodating. In the photos you can see the bifteki and the chicken souvlaki. Furnishings and ambience are very nice and high quality.

We made reservations after the concert, it took a little longer until we finally arrived. Despite being off work, the chef still waited for us and offered us one of four dishes. The food was great and was very tasty. Service was very friendly. Everything was affordable in terms of price...

The service was excellent. Food and drinks were very good. And by Frankfurt standards the price was very moderate.

Although the service was fast, we were constantly asked by waiters if we are finished or not. This was really annoying. Our reservation was for 2 hours therefore they were so pushy. Food was allright, very comparable to other Greek restaurants in Frankfurt. Seafood plate was so small and overpriced. Mezes were delicious. Personally I wouldn’t recommend especially if you are planning to go on a weekend.

There are really good Greek restaurants in Frankfurt but Omonia is not one of them. The food was okay, but the waiters kept telling us we had a 2-hour reservation. They rushed us to finish the plates and tried to take them away before we finished. It was very annoying to be reminded to leave at 8pm every ten minutes even before we ordered the food. The service was very rude, I would not eat there again.

Modern, nice and loud and narrow. But also annoying and relaxing. I was constantly touched by the service manager. There's always some nonsense. Very superficial and unpleasant show. We were asked to pay offline, but of course the card worked when we had to do it quickly. We were regularly reminded how much time we still had, even though we were wearing watches. And the main seasoning of the dishes was just oil. Your own orders were constantly questioned because you had to sell something else. We've been there several times, but now it's finally enough, it doesn't get any better.

Very good food and pleasant atmosphere. Prices are slightly higher, but the service and especially the attentiveness of the staff definitely justify the prices.

We looked for a long time for a restaurant to celebrate with our friends and were happy to have chosen a Greek restaurant with excellent reviews. However, our impression was marred by the unfriendly behavior of the staff. Even though we reserved a table from 6 to 8 o'clock, the waiters constantly reminded us of the time, which created a rushed atmosphere and spoiled the whole evening. Additionally, they just rudely brought us the bill even though we didn't ask for it. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the waiters responded rudely and showed no understanding. Your unfriendly behavior towards customers leaves a lot to be desired. Not recommendable.

A very nice restaurant. Sat in a kind of side room, as the tables in the front area are very narrow and it is therefore loud. The food and service was excellent. If you're looking for classic Gyros Metaxa dishes, you've come to the wrong place. Again any time. If I understand correctly, everything is gluten-free - but you should confirm this with the restaurant in advance.

Tisch direkt am Eingang, man bekam ständig den Vorhang der rein-und rausgehenden Gäste in den Rücken. Unsere zwei Hauptgerichte wurden im Abstand von 10 min. serviert und waren nur lauwarm.

Wir waren am Valentinstag dort und gleich zu Beginn wurde uns nahegelegt schnell zu machen, da an dem Tag viel los sei und sie den Tisch noch anderweitig vergeben wollen. An sich eigentlich ok, 2h reichen uns zum Essen, aber mehrmals drauf hingewiesen zu werden hat die Stimmung schon gedrückt. Beim Bestellen der Vorspeise wurde uns nochmal gesagt, dass wir bitte gleich alles an Essen bestellen müssen, da später wirklich keine Zeit mehr sei. Das Essen kam dann auch in Rekordzeit und anschließend wurden wir aufgefordert zu zahlen. An dem Tag ist in dem Restaurant keiner normal gelaufen, alle sind gerannt. Das Essen an sich war zwar sehr lecker. Aber es hat wirklich gar keinen Spaß gemacht in dem Restaurant zu sein und so richtig genießen konnten wir den Abend auch nicht. Schade.

Wir haben nur einen Platz im Wintergarten bekommen. Das war aber kein Wintergarten sondern ein einfaches Zelt ! Das Lokal war voll und wir haben ca. 1,5 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet. Geschmacklich OK aber Preis - Leistung meines Erachtens völlig unangemessen.

2024: Amazingly, nothing has changed. Excellent service that is always warm and friendly despite the high level of professionalism. The food is really second to none. We had the loup de mer and a starter platter and were really blown away by the taste and freshness of the ingredients. I really hope I don't need another 2 years to find my way to you this time! 2022: After many good reports from friends, we were at Omonia for the first time at its current location. We cannot share the negative reviews at all. We enjoyed service that was truly unique in this price range - we have rarely experienced such attentive staff who know how to take into account the mood and needs of the table. The wine we wanted to order was no longer in stock, but we got an adequate replacement. The food was cooked to perfection and of excellent quality. Prima Services, tolle Auswahl und gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis

Das Restaurant war uns empfohlen worden, und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Alle 4 am Tisch waren sehr zufrieden mit ihrem Sonntags-Essen. Das Lammfleisch im Spies und im Salat war zart und saftig. Bifteki ein leckerer Sattmacher, Oktopus auch lecker. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service in einem vollen Restaurant.

Wie immer ein schöner Abend mit gutem Essen und Wein. Sonntags ist es immer deutlich entspannter und der Geräuschpegel ist deutlich reduziert. Ich mag das Omonia einfach gerne und komme wieder

Sehr lecker und wenn man in toller Gesellschaft ist, dann ist die Atmosphäre und alles top. Das Essen ist schon sehr teuer. Die Kellner sind gestresst und haben es sehr eilig, aber im großen und ganzen gut.
