We visited this Greek restaurant with our family and felt completely at home. The food was exceptionally delicious, freshly prepared, and authentic in flavor. I would especially like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. They were attentive, warm, and always with a smile. The ambiance is pleasant and inviting. Later in the evening, the restaurant filled up considerably, which speaks volumes about the popularity of the establishment. I would therefore definitely recommend making a reservation to ensure a table. Overall, a very pleasant evening with great food and excellent service.

With all due respect. I visited this evening on July 15th. The service didn't even have the basics down: water without glasses, cutlery only available upon request, main course arrived late or was forgotten, so I had to eat alone. When I asked about it, there was complete lack of understanding and eye-rolling. Guys, if you want to be a "place to be," the basics have to be right or you need to train your staff. Otherwise, this is a mediocre chip shop. No go! Update August 28th: ​​Apparently, the operator complained about the article via Google because it is apparently false and defamatory. As others have already described, after-sales service is apparently handled by deleting and maintaining Google posts. It's better to invest the resources in service; it will be more successful in the long run. Regards

Visited for dinner (reservation) on 13/07/2022 at 8pm. Although we arrived on time, it took ~15 minutes for a waiter to show us to our table. Two older waiters told us a big private group meant the kitchen would take about two hours to serve food, and they didn't offer an apology. Another waiter then made a comment that suggested he didn't care about our table because of the money from the group — this felt mocking, so we left after drinking wine. The younger female server was very kind and apologetic. Edited on 29/08/2025 for clarity.

We had a fantastic dinner at Omonia. The wine recommendation was spot on - perfectly complementing the meal. The seafood was impressively fresh and cooked to absolute perfection. The calamari, in particular, was a standout - tender, flavorful, and nothing like the overly chewy versions you sometimes find elsewhere. A truly enjoyable dining experience with quality food and great attention to detail. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Greek flavors done right!

The best Greek restaurant in Frankfurt, nice location, cozy place, tasty food. I like most of the meat from the grill platte, but the pork is quite dry. Baby calamari is good as always. Starter is the must order but Pita is just so so and costs extra. You better make reservation especially if you want to seat outside at the goof weather. Only downside is their slow service particularly during the weekend, because the place is huge. However, friendly and kind staffs.

There were four of us here and we had a fantastic meal. The appetizer platter was really good and the seafood was fantastic. The service was very friendly. We sat outside, which was very nice and cozy.

A lovely place to sit outside, especially in the summer. The mixed starter plate for two is the best thing on the menu. But the rest is also very good. However, Greek cuisine is often simple and hearty, and I find some of it a bit too expensive.

Very nice, sociable, and relaxed atmosphere. Some of the tables outside are too close together, so your neighbors have to cover their ears to avoid hearing anything.

The service and the restaurant are fine

Omonia is a place where you feel at home! You will be greeted with warmth and attention. The staff is not just polite - they are genuinely interested in making your evening perfect, they are happy to explain all the details of the menu and select wine. The food is delicious, each dish is prepared with love, and the wines perfectly complement the tastes. The atmosphere is special - the rooms are decorated with character, but our favorite corner is at the front of the tavern, it is the coziest. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

We went there spontaneously. After a 25-minute wait at the Italian restaurant across the street, we were warmly welcomed and a table was immediately booked for us (7 people). The service, food, and wine were all excellent. We'd be happy to come back.

Great Greek restaurant with highly hyped potential. Updated on May 16, 2025: Unfortunately, Omonia has become more of a mass-processing restaurant. We encountered unfriendly service, and everything had to be done quickly, quickly, quickly. As much as I'm sorry, I've removed Omonia from my list. Hopefully, this will change at some point.

We were there for a family celebration. The restaurant was nicely decorated. Unfortunately I didn't find the service very convincing. My drink was only brought after I asked again. Things could have also gone better in terms of attention. I do expect guests not to be left high and dry all the time. The attention then came to us in a different way. One of the employees constantly took photos of our group (without asking for our consent). We haven't experienced that yet either. Therefore only one star for the ambience. The food was ok, the portions were plentiful, but unfortunately nothing more. We won't be coming back.

Nice atmosphere and rich delicious food

Danger! Apparently the owner keeps deleting the review, even though it corresponds to the truth and actual events. That says it all about the apparently very good reviews so far. Very disappointing and expensive visit for poor quality. The pita bread was totally over salted and dripping with olive oil. The aubergines and zucchini were supposed to have been baked, but were at best steamed and not seasoned in a terribly greasy batter. The worst and hard to beat was the chicken gyro. It's audacious to release such greasy and wobbly chicken strips. And that for €23. In response to our complaint, we were offered a dessert on the house. However, we had to pay for the inedible gyro, even though it couldn't be eaten. That's actually very cheeky. Our conclusion is that this is a Greek restaurant that at first glance has an upscale atmosphere, but completely fails in terms of service and, above all, the quality of the food. I would have liked to have used the €85 differently.

We ate lunch here on a Sunday. The food was absolutely delicious, the portion sizes were perfectly adequate, and the service was very attentive. Eight people ate for €320 (excluding alcoholic beverages). It was well worth the price. Keep up the good work!

I had dinner there with two friends. We felt very comfortable and were served attentively. The food came very quickly, which in this case I found a bit of a shame because we had wanted a “starter”, a starter and a main course that we wanted to share. We had to hurry a bit so that the warm starter didn't get cold. The response to my problem with peppers in food was wonderful. I think the people at Omonia do a great job and therefore justify the high-priced food to some extent.

What was that? An absolute recommendation folks, please try the lamb, the finest Greek cuisine. Preferably 6 stars ⭐️!!!

Tasty, small and super expensive. But super nice staff. For my taste, a typical, overpriced, hip Frankfurt restaurant. Where you sit so close that you can hear your neighbor breathing.

I was sleeping on that! Really, in my opinion, the best Greek restaurant in Frankfurt and the surrounding area! Maybe even the entire world :D The ambience is simply stylish, yet pleasant to linger and talk for hours. The service is extremely fast, very friendly and funny. The individual warm starters and main courses were simply phenomenal! The food was on the table extremely quickly and you don't even feel like going home after eating! Definitely my new favorite restaurant, where I would love to become a regular customer! Jamas!

Wir waren zu sechst im Omonia. Nicht zum ersten, aber für lange Zeit zum letzten Mal. Warum? Es war unmöglich! Viel zu laut, wir saßen sehr eng, Bank unbequem, Tisch blank. Obwohl es sehr eng war, wurden Getränke und Essen angereicht. Service geht anders. Aperitif verwässert. (gestreckt!) Das Essen ist ok, Wein ebenso. Wir hatten zwei Vorspeisen, sechs mal Hauptgericht, ein Dessert. Leute, 480 EUR! 80 EUR/Person. Das ist bei dem mäßigem Service, dem geringen Aufwand, der hier betrieben wird, einfach zu viel. Der sehr laute Chef sollte leise werden und in sich gehen.

Das Essen, das Ambiente, das Team...top! Alles passend, sehr nette Tisch Nachbarn, ein gelungener Abend, sehr gerne wieder!

Eckenheimer Landstrasse, Greek restaurant Omonia, yes you can enjoy Greek dishes there. Add the right drink and the evening is okay. Service is friendly and quick at the table when something needs to be ordered. Can recommend the restaurant!

Unfortunately this place didn't meet my expectations at all! Overall, i wouldn't recommend to friends as the service is very unprofessional and the food is far from authentic. About the service: very bad & unpolite! In the beginning cultural racist jokes then women vs men jokes (all unaccepted and far away from professional). Then they asked our opinion about the food where we gave honest feedback, the waiter became ignorant, unprofessional and pissed! About the food: we ordered lamb (too much cooked) and Moussaka (too salty and far away from delicious or typical Greek Moussaka, even though the waiter told us it is the best plate they have!). Our friends had fish, it was overall good but also very very salty!

Defenitely not recommended, it was a fake Greek culinary experience. Quality price ratio very unsufficient. All the food was too much salty. The moussaká was bad and very salty. Lamb meat overcooked and mediocre quality. Waiter unprofessional and as soon as I complained about the moussaká he stopped interacting (he was trying to be friendly before) and he started being unpolite and unrespectful.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a disappointment. Why? The portions were extremely small and disproportionately expensive. We also had the impression that the dishes were not freshly prepared, but could have come from ready-made products. --> just our impression, not a claim! As a starter we chose pepperoni, which was served dripping wet. When I bit into it, the juice literally ran out - an experience that reminds us of supermarket products. The baked feta cheese, on the other hand, was reminiscent of a standard Camembert in both appearance and taste. A particular highlight was the grill plate - but in a rather questionable way. For the hefty price of a grill plate for two people, we received six tiny pieces of meat: a skewer, a small chicken fillet, a meatball (which was definitely not a bifteki) and other little things. If we had actually shared this platter, each of us would have only had three pieces of meat. My main course, a lamb stew, also disappointed me. I didn't feel like it was actually lamb. As a lover of Greek cuisine, which we often drive for miles to get to, I can say with conviction that it tastes much better elsewhere - and at a fraction of the price. The food here was a disappointment both in terms of price and quality. I find it particularly unfortunate that tips are expected as a matter of course, even if the quality is not right. We still gave something, but we didn't even get a “thank you” in return. The friendly and fast service as well as the appealing ambience should be positively mentioned. But overall, the negative aspects outweigh the negative aspects. The restaurant is far too expensive for the poor quality of the food. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it. It's a shame that nowadays there seems to be less and less emphasis on quality. It's best to see for yourself - anyone who knows and appreciates Greek cuisine will definitely be able to taste the differences in quality, regardless of how the restaurant responds to this criticism. Cozy and stylish. The menu is typically Greek, as are the portions (a bit much). Quality of the food is first class!!! The service was super authentic. Extremely attentive at the beginning, extremely absent at the end. Tried to order a second drink 3 times, 3 times they forgot me.

Atmosphere is very cool, inside it’s very bar-like and the outside area is heated so you don’t necessarily have to wear a jacket. The Gyros Plate is not as big as ones I’ve had before but the quality is great, it’ll definetly fill you up, especially with the salad you get as the appetizer (included in the price). If you’re looking for for an „authentic“ Greek experience idk if this is the perfect match but it’s definetly Greek, maybe just a tad bit modern.

We often drive from Darmstadt to Frankfurt/Main to eat at Omonia. We think the Greek food is excellent. The service is excellent, asks for satisfaction and is very attentive. The place is very well organized. In addition, you can sit in a pleasant atmosphere indoors and in the cold season you can also sit in the closed outdoor area with heating. Simply highly recommended. Perfect meatballs, the octopus was excellent (side dish was a normal salad, I would have expected something different, but it was good) and the eggplant was very tasty. Highly recommended.
