I haven't had such a delicious schnitzel in a long time, and the fried potatoes were also a dream. The portion was a decent size and definitely worth the price. The service was particularly friendly, and the ambiance was beautifully rustic and cozy.

We really enjoyed the meal. Both the Getzen and the casserole tasted great. Personally, I rarely find myself not needing salt or pepper to season. Children get something to do with a children's menu to color and crayons - a simple but great idea. Furnishings: Vintage - cozy. Staff direct and friendly. Questions will be gladly answered. I can recommend the restaurant with regard to the points mentioned. When it comes to the prices that restaurants in this region set for food, opinions differ.

On the way home from our short vacation in the Ore Mountains, we made a quick detour to the beautiful old town of Marienberg. Before continuing our journey, we fortified ourselves at "Omas Kartoffelhaus." They have a huge selection of schnitzel variations and many other dishes. We would have loved to try almost everything 😃 We had a schnitzel with garlic sauce and one with chili cheese. Both were delicious, and the potato wedges were super crispy. The restaurant is very quaint and invites you to sit for a while. The service was pleasant and friendly.

There were four of us, two adults and two children having lunch. I found it to be very nice and comfortably furnished both inside and out. The service came quickly, was very nice and friendly. The food was very tasty, especially the typical Erzgebirge buttermilk getzen. Everything was priced right and was reasonable. There were children's magazines and very nice coloring books to keep them busy, great.

You have to look for the entrance to an inconspicuous house. When you enter, you will be surprised by a lovingly compiled collection of items from the GDR and pre-GDR times. We were led to the upper floor by a cheerful employee, which is also worth seeing. Then you shouldn't expect award-winning cuisine, but extremely tasty dishes that will really make you think of grandma. We had a potato soup, a potato casserole with salmon and a potato wreath with mushrooms and turkey strips (a kind of fried potato mash with the ingredients on top). Everything was extremely tasty and so plentiful that we were able to take some home with us. Together with 2 light beers (0.4l) we paid 48.50 and it was worth every euro.

We enjoyed dinner here on two days, although on the second day we were politely ignored by the male waitress and asked at every other table about our drinks and how we were feeling. The first visit was a five star landing, the second visit was a “well”. A pity.

First the service "good". The ambience “a little too little outside area”. The food was good, the sauce was way too flat. Too little taste in terms of salt and pepper. A little more gravy would have worked wonders. Otherwise highly recommended.

We were here for lunch with 7 people. The selection is plentiful and there is something for every taste. The Buttermilk Getzen “classic” is particularly recommended - it’s really something special because you rarely find this dish on a menu. The portions are large, the prices are fair. Unfortunately there are no senior portions, but you can take the leftovers home with you. The restaurant is wonderfully rustic. For people with limited mobility, the upper floor is difficult to reach via the stairs. But if you mention this when making your reservation, you'll definitely find a place on the ground floor. Overall a good address.

Small and rustic. While having lunch with friends, I really wanted to get to know this potato house because I already know others. The menu also had “potato products”, but there were more “schnitzel products”. Changes in the size of the dishes or combinations were not possible. For example, Schobska salad was not available as a starter. You can't complain about the quality of the products. It tastes really good and it's freshly prepared too. For children there was a chair and a children's card and crayons. Unfortunately there is no changing area and it is not possible to use a space for it. Unfortunately, the entrance stairs are complicated for wheelchair users and the doors are very narrow. Toilets are located upstairs and can only be reached by stairs. For a nice evening with good food and schnitzel friends, it's really nice. The staff makes an effort.

The service was very nice, there weren't long waiting times and the food was very tasty and the portions were very large. We had schnitzel and for the veggies there was a kind of potato pancake from the pan. Very rustic atmosphere with lots of decoration. A small negative aspect, the ventilation system is weak, you smell a lot of food. If anyone is nearby, we can recommend Grandma's Potato House.
