We didn't have to wait long, our food was absolutely delicious (schnitzel with camembert gratin and schnitzel with chanterelles). The service was very friendly! We can't judge the ambience, we sat outside on the small terrace.

Good restaurant with cozy interior and good food. Customer service is okay, but it depends on the operation. We enjoyed dinner here on two days, although on the second day we were politely ignored by the male waitress and asked at every other table about our drinks and how we were feeling. The first visit was a five star landing, the second visit was a “well”. A pity.

Want to have a delicious meal in the middle of the town center of Marienberg? Grandma's Karoffenhaus is definitely a recommendation! Delicious food, generous portions at fair prices. I recommend the “Bernese style” schnitzel. Sooo delicious!

First the service "good". The ambience “a little too little outside area”. The food was good, the sauce was way too flat. Too little taste in terms of salt and pepper. A little more gravy would have worked wonders. Otherwise highly recommended.

We were here for lunch with 7 people. The selection is plentiful and there is something for every taste. The Buttermilk Getzen “classic” is particularly recommended - it’s really something special because you rarely find this dish on a menu. The portions are large, the prices are fair. Unfortunately there are no senior portions, but you can take the leftovers home with you. The restaurant is wonderfully rustic. For people with limited mobility, the upper floor is difficult to reach via the stairs. But if you mention this when making your reservation, you'll definitely find a place on the ground floor. Overall a good address.

Super delicious food! Were served food even after 8 p.m. on weekdays. Large selection of schnitzels, fresh ingredients! Given the freshness of the ingredients, the wait for the food is perfectly fine! The prices are great. Two adults and one child with main courses and drinks for €60; where else can you find this in this quality?! Highly Recommended!

Small and rustic. While having lunch with friends, I really wanted to get to know this potato house because I already know others. The menu also had “potato products”, but there were more “schnitzel products”. Changes in the size of the dishes or combinations were not possible. For example, Schobska salad was not available as a starter. You can't complain about the quality of the products. It tastes really good and it's freshly prepared too. For children there was a chair and a children's card and crayons. Unfortunately there is no changing area and it is not possible to use a space for it. Unfortunately, the entrance stairs are complicated for wheelchair users and the doors are very narrow. Toilets are located upstairs and can only be reached by stairs. For a nice evening with good food and schnitzel friends, it's really nice. The staff makes an effort.

Luckily we spontaneously got a special table for Friday evening. There were three of us and we sat in an old horse-drawn carriage. The service was very nice, there weren't long waiting times and the food was very tasty and the portions were very large. We had schnitzel and for the veggies there was a kind of potato pancake from the pan. Very rustic atmosphere with lots of decoration. A small negative aspect, the ventilation system is weak, you smell a lot of food. If anyone is nearby, we can recommend Grandma's Potato House.

Sehr schönes uriges Ambiente, und sehr leckeres Essen.

Gutes Essen ist ein Schnitzelhaus also viele Varianten von Schnitzeln. Die Einrichtung ist auf Alt gemacht.

Gemütliche Gaststätte in der Altstadt von Marienberg. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind an der Stadthalle vorhanden. Umfangreiche Karte, in der jeder etwas finden sollte. Auf Sonderwünsche würde freundlich reagiert und diese erfüllt. Kinderstühle sind vorhanden, leider keine Wickelgelegenheit. Preis - Leistung ok. Die Portionen sind nicht ganz so groß. Da bleibt noch die Gelegenheit für einen leckeren Nachtisch. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Also, wer rustikale Einrichtung liebt ist hier super aufgehoben. Das Essen war super und obwohl man eigentlich einen Tisch reservieren muss, hatten wir Glück einen Tisch zu ergattern. Ein sehr gelungener Abend. Kleiner Hinweis für blinde Menschen: Die Toilette im Obergeschoss ist nur schwer zu erreichen.

Das Essen war ganz lecker, allerdings nur 3 Sterne von mir, da die Wirtin es für wichtiger gehalten hat mit einem bekannten unten zu quatschen anstatt zu fragen ob man evtl noch was zu trinken möchte. Bleibt für mich als Gast nur ein Eindruck leider hängen -> denen geht es zu gut und brauchen keinen Umsatz. Schade!!!

Zwischen den Tagen doch einen schönen Tisch"ergattert". Sehr liebes flottes und kompetentes Inhaberpaar. Die Küchenmitarbeiter natürlich auch, da das Essen einfach sehr gut ist. Kleine Gaststätte, super Essen, nette Bedienung. Da hat alles gepasst, sogar die Einrichtung urig. Wir waren kurzfristig hier und man hat uns gleich einen Tisch fertig gemacht. Die Portionen war wirklich sehr gut, man wird richtig satt. Da kann man nur den Hit ziehen. Wir kommen gerne wieder, konnten nicht alles probieren.

Sehr netter Service mit freundlichen Bedienungen. Urige Einrichtung, viel anzuschauen. Vielfältige Karte mit auch lokalen Spezialitäten. Kartoffel und Schnitzelgerichte. Reichliche Portionen. Kartoffelkränze, Buttermilchgetzen mit unterschiedlichen Beilagen.

Waren am WE hier in Marienberg zum Essen im Kartoffelhaus. Das Essen kam schnell, war wirklich genug auf dem Teller und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Alles in allem eine perfektes Mittagessen. Die Auswahl an Essen war sehr viel und für jeden was dabei. Ich würde gerne wieder herkommen. Über die Reservierung kann ich nix sagen, bei uns war alles leer.

Wir reservierten 1 Stunde vorher einen Tisch für 4 Personen im Innbereich persönlichen vor Ort. Als wir kamen waren alle Tische belegt. Keine Entschuldigung von der Chefin. Ein no go!!!

Das Erzgebirge hat ja allerlei zu bieten, hierzu gehört Marienberg, ein bezaubernder Ort mit alter Stadtmauer. Man schlendert durch das alte Tor hinein und rechts in der gepflegten Straße liegt Oma' s Kartoffelhaus. Innen urig und sehr gepflegt, aussen befindet sich eine kleine Terrasse, die wir zu viert okkupierten. Die Karte weist unzählige Kartoffelgerichte aus, so dass bereits beim Lesen das Wasser im Munde zusammenlief. Dann wurde serviert. Ansehnlich angerichtet und reichlich. Davon wird selbst der hungrigste Gast satt. Geschmacklich und kochkünstlerisch einfach superlecker. Der Wirt gab auf Befragen gerne Tips und erklärte einige Gerichte, was wir als sehr angenehmen Service wertschätzten. Gepflegte Getränke rundeten das Ganze ab. Wir waren nudel- ähh kartoffelsatt und sehr zufrieden. Für einen sehr angemessenen Preis viel und sehr lecker gespeist. Danke dafür. Da wir oft im Erzgebirge sind, wird das nicht unser letzter Genuss dort gewesen sein. Danke.
