We arrived without a reservation. It was a Monday evening, and the restaurant was very busy. A charming, old-fashioned restaurant. What can I say? We had a wonderful meal once again. The service was very quick, and the food arrived promptly. The staff was very friendly despite the restaurant being full. My only criticism: the service could be improved. We would have almost died of thirst if we hadn't paid! Having originally worked in fine dining, I know that drinks are where the money is made. I would have appreciated a bit more attentive service at the tables. But otherwise, it was delicious once again.

Every dish is highly recommended. Excellent quality and always delicious for over 30 years.

Delicious Greek food, served with the utmost Greek culture and tradition. Very friendly service that treats each customer with special attention. A true family restaurant with a tradition dating back to 1981. I highly recommend this place; it's one of the must-sees in Solingen.

Despite making a reservation by phone, we unfortunately didn't get a table! We were told to stand to the side and wait until a table became available! What's the point of reserving a table then? We decided to eat somewhere else! Restaurant Olympia will never see us again! I've never experienced such disrespectful behavior; this is no way to treat customers! I am extremely disappointed by how we were treated. 😞

We had reserved a table for Saturday at Restaurant Olympia by phone and even received personal confirmation of the reservation on Friday. Unfortunately, we were disappointed upon our arrival on Saturday: the table we had reserved was unavailable, and we were shown to a different one. When we politely inquired, we were told that reservations generally do not guarantee a specific table – a point we hadn't been made aware of either on the phone or during our visit the day before. What was particularly disappointing, however, was the young woman at reception: her response to our inquiry was unfriendly and very assertive, making the atmosphere extremely unpleasant. For this reason, we ultimately decided to leave the restaurant without ordering anything. It's a real shame – we had been looking forward to the evening. Respectful service and transparent communication regarding reservations would definitely be appreciated. This is certainly not how one imagines a successful restaurant experience.

Hello, the ouzo plate was delicious, but I didn't really like it for 5 stars. Service was good and fast. If you like the old-school atmosphere, this is the place for you. On weekends, if you're a group (3 or more), it's best to make a reservation. Best regards.

Absolutely recommended! Greek cuisine is presented here at the highest level. Everything we had was excellent, especially the lamb couldn't have been better. The side dishes were also outstanding, better than expected, and we're already in high spirits. Very friendly restaurant, clean and tidy. It was really good value for the quality served. The food, which we waited 95 minutes for, was abysmal. Burnt meat, a steak grilled to bits, and the waiter had his fingers in my food. There were seven of us, and we'll never go there again!

Great Greek food! We were welcomed with a nice Ouzo. The service was very good and the portions were big. There was only a single English menu, but the dishes and prices differ from the German menu,but in the end all worked out well.

Meine Kinder haben abgestanden Getränke bekommen aus ner geöffneten alten Flasche.Fertig Schnitzel die in der Friteuse gemacht sind. Der Salat zum Gericht?? Krautsalat mit 1x olive und 1 x Peperoni, total mit Öl versifft. Der Koch sitzt draußen mit Kippe in der Hand.Gericht solala, kann man genauso gut in ne Pommersbude gehen. Kleine Portionen, aber Trinkgeld möchte man gerne haben.Am EC Kartengerät wird der Betrag schon offen gelassen. Der Biergarten geschlosen, obwohl es nirgends steht.Draußen wird man warten gelassen. Das Getränk ist leer und man muss betteln um was zu bekommen, wenn man gesehen wird. Das Restaurant scheint eher ein Hobby zu sein, als das man da gute Qualität bieten möchte. Ich kann nicht verstehen, dass es Leute gibt die das toll finden dort. Dann wird man gefragt, ob alles gut ist und das Essen geschmeckt hat. Was soll man da antworten.??????? Positv ist der Parkplatz, dort kann man schön Parken.

We love Greece and of course Greek food. Everything tastes very tasty. The staff is also very attentive and friendly. In the warmer seasons you can also sit outside. We always enjoy coming back. KALISPERA And YAMAS

We ate there for Easter with 12 people. The restaurant is a bit old, but well maintained. Rather home-style, not suitable for fine dining. Even though it was very busy, we were served promptly. The service was friendly and requests for changes were addressed without any problems. The food came almost at the same time for everyone. The grilled food was consistently tasty and plentiful. Only the dishes with sauce were swimming in sauce and were very rich, but some guests apparently want it that way. The side salad only consisted of coleslaw, so a mix might be nicer. Good price/performance ratio, we would love to come back. You can pack your own leftovers in the containers provided.

If you like Greek food, you're in good hands here. Especially in summer you can enjoy your meal in the beer garden.

The boss's wife was really impossible. You make reservations, they make mistakes and then become mushy. Unfortunately the equipment is pretty messed up. One gets the impression that the only thing that needs to be extracted is money. Unfortunately, tips do not go to the friendly waiters

Für meine Begriffe das BESTE Restaurant in Solingen. Das Team hat sehr viel Arbeit, trotzdem gut gelaunt und immer freundlich. Das Essen ist sensationell.

Wir haben dort am 31.12. 24 gegessen. Bei der Reservierung ( 1 Monat früher für Abendessen) hat uns niemand gesagt, dass der Tisch nur für 1 Stunde buchbar ist. Wir dürften schnell aufessen, nich mal ein zweites Getränk nachbestellen, viel bezahlen und gehen. Wir waren da zum letzten Mal. Ich glaube in egal welchen Imbis würden wir besser aufgehoben sein. Nie wieder!!

The service is professional, fast and yet always personal - you really feel welcome here as a guest. The food is high quality, freshly prepared and generously portioned. The price-performance ratio is also excellent and leaves nothing to be desired. If you want to spend a cozy evening in a warm atmosphere with delicious, authentic food, Olympia is the right place for you. A clear recommendation!

Food overall ok and tasty. However, there was too much coleslaw in the salad and appetizer plate. It was tasty, but too much of a good thing could cause major problems the following day. Salmon portion was very decent.

It's always full on weekends. This means that the staff does not have time to take care of guests very personally. You had to visit it during the week and it looked completely different. Every family celebration has been in Olympia for 34 years.

Very bad experience at this restaurant!! The staff is both slow and disinterested. We waited over half an hour for the drinks and over 1.5 hours for the food. The cherry on the cake? Lipstick was visible on my pepperoni. I guess they collect the pepperoni from the guests that weren't eaten and pass them on. An outrage!

We have been there 5 times so far and have never been disappointed. Service is very nice, despite the fact that they are always full, they are quick and quick. We always had different dishes and they were all delicious. In short, the restaurant is always a good choice.

You can sit there very well and are immediately greeted with an ouzo. Very friendly service staff. The food was delicious as always from a Greek. The chips had very little to no seasoning, but they were still tasty with tzatziki. However, they were more like fried potatoes from the deep fryer. We went out to eat here very often. Most of the time even without making a reservation in advance. There is always a lot of diarrhea, but we still tried again and again. We kept ordering meat dishes with fries and MAYO...we never got them but always paid. At some point we knew the restaurant so well that we got our own mayo. Today, August 26th, 2019, we had mold in our drink. The quality of the store has deteriorated so much that I'm letting the HEALTH OFFICE take a look. Mold doesn't appear overnight. There was no reaction to the mold in the drink with any remorse or anything like that. This is probably due to the increased alcohol consumption among employees to push. Apart from that, the plate decoration is bad. How could a restaurant like this last so long?

Leider gibt es in Schaberg nur sehr wenig Gastronomie. Nach langer Zeit sind wir zu acht in das Restaurant gegangen. Bereits die sehr umfangreiche Speisekarte ist ein Indiz dafür, dass viele Gerichte offenbar mit Tiefkühlprodukten hergestellt werden. Wir mussten relativ lange waren. Insgesamt war das Essen mäßig, das sollte man in einem großen Lokal mehr erwarten. Wir hatten auch das Gefühl, abgefertigt zu werden. Nicht das ich darauf scharf bin, aber während die Gäste an den Nachbartischen einen Ouzo zum Abschluss bekamen, hat man uns nichts dergleichen angeboten. Wenn das Lokal voll ist, dann läßt der Service schon mal sehr nach. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch nicht unbedingt. Die Vorspeisen sind zu teuer. Das Ambiente ist mehr als nur in die Jahre gekommen. Positiv ist, dass es für Kinder eine separate Spielecke gibt. Meine Empfehlung an die Inhaber/Pächter, weniger und das besser und gründlicher zubereiten. Ich werde das Lokal nach Möglichkeit meiden und lieber woanders hingehen. Es ist kein Lokal, wo man einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen kann.

Wollten mal was neues Probieren und sind dort oft vorbeigefahren. Erster Eindruck, es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Hatte nicht so dass Wohlfühl Gefühl. Die Bedienung war schnell, manchmal etwas zu schnell. Ich fühle mich etwas bedrängt. Das Essen war guter Durchschnitt, das bekommt man überall. Fazit. Man könnte muß aber nicht wieder hin.

I've been there several times but only because I was invited there. Personally, I wouldn't go there! Because it's just too loud, you feel like you're in a train station. When it comes to food, some snack bars are better in Solingen.

The food was very good, even though the portions felt smaller, it was still plenty! Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, the food order didn't come in full, the ouzo, which is actually the norm there, only came when asked, and drink orders sometimes had to be repeated, as did the request for the bill. The atmosphere is very cozy; due to the somewhat convoluted layout, the restaurant never seems as big as it actually is and therefore offers a lot of cosiness. The children's play area is particularly good!

Very friendly demeanor and before the meal there is the obligatory “welcome ouzo” The ambience is very nice and authentic inside, but not quite as nice from the outside in my opinion.
