Great food, great wines. A little more expensive

It took a while before we could place our order. Only one service person could take our order. The others didn't seem to be responsible for it. The food tasted good. However, the prices were not the lowest. It was quite expensive for the not so large quantity. It was OK but not excessive. The starters are also quite expensive. In my opinion, even the price of a bottle of water is excessive. If you reorder bread, you will be charged €2.50 each time. At the end there was no ouzo. The food tasted good, but overall I didn't find this restaurant particularly convincing.

Always a short vacation, nice service, delicious food...I've been coming to the tavern for years, if not decades.

We reserved a table there for four last night. My husband specifically ordered his lamb plate “English”. It's certainly not to everyone's taste - but it's for everyone the way they like it best. The order already caused discussions and a need for explanations. "Perhaps this is the second time in 30 years that someone has ordered "English". Which countryman are you? No matter... then we waited over 1 1/2 hours for our food... it was my husband's fault with his You can't grill "English" when the grill is very full - you have to pay close attention. When the food came, the lamb plate was everything - but definitely not "English". "done" ordered... my meat was lighter inside than his. Anyway, we just wanted to have a nice evening with friends, didn't want to complain and made the best of it. My husband ate what he could... and also gave me some pieces to try. When asked if everything was good - we answered yes. Now comes the part that is completely incomprehensible - or is actually quite a disgrace. The waitress suddenly comes from the side, takes away my husband's plate without asking and, without even asking, simply puts a new one there with a lamb chop and a lamb skewer grilled "English" on it. So now he can eat, she prepared it herself! She saw for herself that he pushed the meat over to me. My husband froze...could hardly understand what had just happened, he simply replied that he couldn't eat it anymore! He didn't touch it either, because what the good lady didn't know... three of us - including my husband - have a gastric bypass that has a capacity of 60 ml... which allows a maximum food intake of 200 grams. Nevertheless, you still like to go to a restaurant every now and then and have a nice evening! You can't eat a lot of food, which makes it even more important that what you eat tastes really good and meets your needs! My husband felt really uncomfortable... patronized like a child. Just grabbed the plate, put the new one down according to the motto... eat now and don't complain! There you have your English meat! Well, what can I say? We prefer to stay with our local Greeks Mykonos in Höhscheid! Here the customer really is king.

First of all, I agree with the other 1-2 star reviews. We were there and unfortunately had to send the food back. After the salad as a starter was completely over salted and the salt grains were still chewable, the food was served after a longer than average wait and after 2 forkfuls we had to stop. The staff themselves were very friendly and helpful, but the manager treated us as if we weren't wanted - apparently because we hadn't reserved a table beforehand. When we asked the boss to pay, she just asked if we were finished eating and we then explained that we didn't like it at all. The only answer that came was “How have you not been with us yet? - “I don’t change my recipes” and then charged the full €50. No willingness to compromise and not at all accommodating. Never again! Absolutely not recommended!

A super nice restaurant that puts a lot of passion into it, all the employees are nice, the food tastes good and the vegan menu is very diverse. We would love to come back here, you feel like you are on vacation :)

The main service was very unfriendly and visibly stressed. Unfriendly comments came far too often. The ambience is very great. Great outdoor area, but... The food was a total disaster. The meat didn't taste good, whether gyros, meatballs, skewers or lamb. Salads without dressing, dry and tasteless. Potatoes were over-seasoned. Everything is way too expensive. The draft beer tasted bland and stale. Example: The rack of lamb was the size of a small meatball. Served alone and lonely without aesthetics on a large plate. Side dishes came separately. So 3 large plates on the table. Taste 0/10 - Price: 25€. Lots of potential, good location, great location with outdoor area - Absolutely no passion, no love, no taste. Never again. Very unfortunate. Probably NRW's worst Greek. With distance.

Totally unfriendly boss! She assigned us a table and later realized that she herself had missed it and wanted to accuse us of stupid things! Apparently they don't need guests anymore! It all took forever, salad was totally bland and tasteless. We didn't really feel welcome with 6 people! We will spend our money elsewhere in the future!

Paid 20 euros today for Mykonos grill plate. Very very small portion. When I said that it was very little, the only answer I received was “as always”. The atmosphere in the garden is great and the staff is friendly. Hence two stars. However, I was very disappointed in the price/quantity.

We were in the restaurant the last few days, sitting outside. To start with, there was a salad after ordering - I'm not sure if there was any dressing on this salad, completely disappointing. The main course of lamb with roasted potatoes was bland and the lamb was no longer warm. The roasted potatoes tasted like chips. In my opinion, the waiting time for the main course was significantly longer than normal. It was a complete disappointment and definitely our last visit there….

The wait was too long, the food was carelessly prepared and very manageable. Not very friendly when asked because of the long waiting time.

I was in the Mykonos tavern 10 years ago. We had a bad experience there as we waited over an hour for our food. Now we gave it another chance yesterday. Ambiance is also very nice. Service was okay this time too. Food tasted okay. The four of us ate the Mykonos grill plate and unfortunately we weren't full. This has NEVER happened to me with Greeks. Unfortunately, overall this doesn't add up to more than 2 stars...

Delicious dishes, friendly service, truly Greek atmosphere. I recommend it not only for culinary reasons, but also for those who miss the real Greek atmosphere.

Best Greek restaurant in the area, best atmosphere, friendly service, top food...

The first time we were just looking for dinner. The second time because it was so good and the third time to show our son where you can eat well in Solingen. For the third time, despite the heavy storm, we got a place outside and had a great evening there. We are already looking forward to the evenings when the weather is dry and warm... 👍 You can park in a parking lot nearby. The food was really great. The gyro was well seasoned, the potato slices were pleasantly crispy and the tzatziki came in a separate bowl. For me the best gyros I've had in a long time. I would particularly like to highlight the stuffed grape leaves. These were handmade and came in an oil and lemon sauce. So not the little tough stubs from the can that were offered in other restaurants. The service was present and attentive. The prices are adapted to the current economic situation and are appropriate. I'm looking forward to sitting there with the whole family soon in nice weather and enjoying really good food together.

It always fits. The food was delicious, the beer was tasty and the service was quick, friendly and prompt. We really enjoy being there, it's a real time out

A nice atmosphere and we felt very comfortable. The food was super tasty 😋 and the price was right, you can't complain. Super nice service 👩‍💼 I can only recommend it.

Als Nichtsolinger war ich hier zum ersten Besuch und ich kann echt behaupten, dass dieses wunderbar familiär geführte Restaurant tatsächlich den Eindruck eines kurzen Griechenland Urlaubs hinterlässt. Tolle Küche , fantastische Atmosphäre.

Erstklassiges Griechisches Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal und einem wunderschönen Ambiente. Och habe noch nirgendwo einen besseren wein getrunken und ein besseres Zaziki gegessen. Auf jeden fall immer ein Besuch wert!

Ein alteingesessener Familienbetrieb mit langer Tradition. Überaus nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Von der Bestellung des Essens bis zum Servieren dauerte es ca. 40 Minuten. Aber das liegt an der frischen Zubereitung 😉! Brot gab es reichlich und immer wieder nach! Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren Ende August da und saßen im "Innenhof". Falls ich einmal wieder in Solingen bin werde ich hier gerne wieder hingehen.

Der beste Biergarten in ganz Solingen, tolles Ambiente und super Stimmung, man fühlt sich wie in Griechenland. Große Auswahl an Gerichten, erst klassische griechische Weine und Spezialitäten. Service bei vollem Laden manchmal sehr beschäftigt aber immer aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Kann das Gastro nur empfehlen, einer der besten Griechen Solingens!

Sehr leckeres griechisches Essen. Sehr schönes Ambiente draußen wie auch drinnen.Im Innenhof habe ich mich wie auf Korfu gefühlt.Der Chef bringt zum Teil selber die Speisen als Koch aus der Küche.Weinverkauf ist hier ebenfalls möglich.

Einmal und nie wieder … Ich gehe hin und wieder gerne griechisch essen, da ich so gerne Bifteki esse. Ich kann die ganzen guten Bewertungen hier nicht ansatzweise nachvollziehen. Das Bifteki war sowohl vom Geschmack als auch von der Konsistenz her sehr abstoßend, nach der Hälfte habe ich es stehen lassen. Dazu gab es eine Feta Sauce, die ich persönlich wirklich ungenießbar fand. Das Gyros war auch komplett trocken und alles andere als schmackhaft. Da passte der verlässliche und auch nicht freundliche Service gut dazu.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und hatten einen sehr schönen Abend, fast ein kleiner Urlaub. Die Reservierung klappte prima, da die Bestätigungs-Mail nicht durchging, wurde kurzerhand angerufen. Da es recht voll war, wurden wir gebeten, kurz zu warten, bevor uns unser Tisch gezeigt wurde. Das Procedere ist in vielen Ländern üblich - vielleicht muss man in Deutschland tatsächlich noch ein Schild dazu aufstellen, damit es begiffen wird... Man sitzt im Hof, zum Teil unter einer Pergola, die über und über von einem wunderbaren alten Weinstock berankt ist. Den Service haben wir als sehr freundlich erlebt. Sehr kreativ/pragmatisch wurde es, als zwei gemischte Vorspeisenplatten plus ein 'reguläres' Hauptgericht auf dem Tisch untergebracht werden mussten...aber so hatten wir es letztes Jahr auf Santorini auch erlebt, so muss das sein! Den 'Running Gag' des Abends, dass hier nicht mal zwei Austern dazwischen gepasst hätten, werden wir wohl in die Familienhistorie aufnehmen :-) Es gibt eine schöne vegetarische Auswahl, alles sehr schmackhaft. Wer da sehr genau unterwegs ist, sollte die Tarama explizit abbestellen (sie war aber lecker). Auch vegane Optionen gibt es reichlich. Die Preise fanden wir sehr zivil. Was übrig bleibt, wird gerne eingepackt - finden wir wichtig, lasst uns Lebensmittelverschwendung vermeiden. In dem kleinen angeschlossenen Laden gab es dann noch ein wenig Mykonos für Zuhause...'leider' nötig, denn für uns ist es nicht um die Ecke ;-)

Herzliche Gastlichkeit und top Gastronomie.

Köstliche griechische Spezialitäten auf einer wunderbaren mediterranen Terrasse, guter Wein, netter Service und eine umfangreiche vegane Karte. Leider gab es keine kleinen Appetizer vor dem Essen (z.B. Brot oder Oliven) und der eigentlich obligatorische Ouzo beim Bezahlen fehlte auch. Wäre das anders gewesen, hätte ich volle 5 Punkte gegeben. Tolles Restaurant!!

Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen, mit einer Freundin zum Essen im Außenbereich gesessen. So gemütlich. Essen war auch top. Immer wieder gerne.

Was für ein schöner Abend in einer besonderen Atmosphäre und tollem Essen

Das Essen ist so schlimm und dienen dauert so lange.....

Ich hatte eine großartige Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant. Das gesamte Personal, angefangen bei der Besitzerin bis hin zu den anderen Mitarbeitern, war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir konnten uns problemlos auf Englisch verständigen, was für mich und meine Begleiter sehr angenehm war. Das Essen war hervorragend zubereitet und von hoher Qualität. Man merkte, dass viel Wert auf frische Zutaten und sorgfältige Zubereitung gelegt wurde. Es kann zu einer gewissen Wartezeit kommen, aber diese war keinesfalls länger als notwendig und das Essen war definitiv die Wartezeit wert. Die Portionen waren großzügig bemessen und haben uns alle satt gemacht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war meiner Meinung nach angemessen. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war angenehm und hat zu einem insgesamt positiven Erlebnis beigetragen. Alles in allem würde ich sagen, dass dieses Restaurant überdurchschnittlich ist, besonders in Bezug auf sein Konzept. Ich kann es definitiv empfehlen.

Eddig a legfinomabb görög étterem Németországban amiben jártunk. Szombat este voltunk ezért kicsit tovább kellett várnunk a vacsoránkra de így is megérte!
