Not rated for food, as we didn't eat anything. However, the 4 stars for service and atmosphere are more than appropriate. Plus 5 stars for the beer selection. 👍

Cool atmosphere, really good food, the breakfast buffet is highly recommended. The schnitzel was also very tasty. Beer lovers will definitely get their money's worth – highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, friendly service, and the draft beer selection is fantastic. Finally, no more bottled beer! 😁 Today I had kale, which was delicious. The only downside... the end piece of the Kasseler pork seemed like leftovers. But everything was tasty, and I absolutely love this selection of draft beers! 👍

Beer drinkers are spoiled for choice here! The food offers both vegetarian and meat options. The location by the harbor is sure to be fantastic in the summer! The service staff was very friendly, but didn't visit our table very often. There are many stairs, so people with mobility issues should reserve a suitable table in advance. It was a pleasant evening.

Yesterday morning, four of us went to the so-called brunch. Although we had a reservation, we were seated outside in the drafty winter garden. Everything in the restaurant was empty, and there were no reserved signs on the tables. Even though it was already 10:30 a.m., the cleaning ladies completely soaked the entire buffet/entrance area without drying it again. Walking was a real nuisance. But the worst and most annoying thing was the buffet and the price, which listed eel and other various types of fish. There was none of it. When I asked the waitress about it, the answer was: "Oh, we were wondering why there was so much space on the buffet." I think there were clear instructions not to serve any of it. 20 euros per person without drinks (not even orange juice). A disgrace!!!! Never again!!!!

We visited Ols on a Saturday afternoon/evening and had a fantastic time! The selection of beers and other drinks is inviting, and there's no chance of getting bored. The food was delicious. And all at reasonable prices. 👍 Our dog was also well looked after, with water and a few snacks. It's an absolute safe space for us with our dog! Kadir and his colleagues were very friendly and looked after us well. We'd love to come back. 😊

We were at Ol's on a Monday evening in October at 9:05 p.m., found a nice seat in the conservatory, and were greeted by the waitress five minutes later, who told us we'd sneaked in. She also informed us that the last order had been announced 15 minutes earlier. The restaurant is theoretically open until 11:00 p.m. We just wanted a beer and nothing to eat, but she remained relentless and unfriendly. What a disappointing visit to Ol's...

Very tasty, very friendly & competent, very rustic

This was our first time here. As fans of draft beer, we were thrilled with the selection, which, in addition to the house brand, offers more than just the usual standard beer from Jever to Krombacher. The fries were excellent, and the service was very friendly and prompt. We particularly noticed that in the evening, every table was asked if they wanted anything else to eat before the kitchen closed. For us, this is what gastronomy is all about, with the customer. The ambiance is great, the service is okay, the menu is okay, and the drinks are okay. But then... the restrooms are very dirty, there's toilet paper all over the floor. Everything is sticky. You don't want to touch anything. On the stairs down to the restroom, you can almost smell the restrooms nearby. It's a shame, it's a great place to sit.

We had a company event at Ols. There was a delicious kale buffet with everything your heart could desire. The service was super friendly, and the beer was also delicious. Coupled with the pleasant atmosphere by the harbor, it's highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I don't like this place at all. We were there with a larger group and there were QR codes on the tables everywhere for ordering drinks - no sooner said than done... then they accosted us, telling us to order directly from the waiter... The drinks are good and the prices are great... The food arrived extremely late despite pre-ordering, and when the schnitzel with hollandaise arrived, I was very disappointed. The hollandaise tasted like mayo, and the fried potatoes tasted like old fat and weren't seasoned at all. The restrooms are unfortunately very dirty and unhygienic... it stinks, and the floor is sticky...

Since we were not served despite waiting a long time and asking, I cannot give a proper review.

Me: 2 large pilsners and 2 large shandys, please. Server: I don't have any large glasses, you can have small ones!!! Ridiculous! There were 10 large beer glasses at the bar, and the old lady was too lazy to wash them.

The beer is delicious! Depending on the number of guests, it may take a while to get your order. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the food.

They serve gluten-free beer, but unfortunately, I couldn't order gluten-free food here because, according to the staff, the kitchen isn't equipped for it. It's a shame. The food looked great, though, and I'm grateful for the honest advice.

The truly charming and very friendly service was at odds with the rest of the menu. The food was simply fast food, convenience foods that were prepared without any fuss. The salads had barely any dressing, which we had to reorder; the chicken on the salad were pre-breaded strips that were deep-fried and so hard you could hardly bite into them. The pulled pork was completely overseasoned and inedible. Unfortunately, the kitchen also completely ignored the lovely staff's efforts to put together a gluten-free menu, even putting it in writing. The restrooms were filthy, and there was no paper to wipe your hands with. A shame for a restaurant in such a prime location right on the harbor. We unfortunately won't be coming back.

There's a great selection of beer here, all in a lovely atmosphere...my Helles Ols was delicious, as was my herring fillet...thanks again to Stefanie for the great service ✌️

My wife and I, after we'd already eaten at least six of them with our two remaining, each ordered a tasting board! Let's just say, it was really good! 6 out of 6 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ we would order it again! The food still needs to arrive! But it's pretty busy. Okay, the food arrived! Spinach dumplings and a beef burger! Both very 😋 tasty. I found it a little low in salt, but Lolle liked it. 👍

The only reason the service deducted one star was because, with the place full and staffing shortages, they were able to accommodate more of my orders. The atmosphere was also great, but the Huntestau was quite smelly. Top-notch beers, top-notch food.

Bad. I wanted to go to dinner here with my nephews. The waitress didn't even come. When we asked, we were told they hadn't seen us and that a colleague would be there soon. But we could stand around and chat. We weren't hidden, and we made eye contact several times...while chatting. We left. It's perfectly fine if they don't want to serve us; everyone is free to do what they want.

My tarte flambée was delicious. A nice way to just sit down and let the evening fade away.

They also offer a variety of beers, a good selection of food, and homemade ice cream. Depending on the weather, you can sit inside, in the conservatory, or outside by the canal. The service is excellent!

At times, the service staff were rude and rude. Payment at the pavilion, outside the service area, was by card only. 👎🏻

I expected much more than I got. We sat outside at first, but after 10 minutes we went inside because no one came. There were three waiters behind the counter, but none of them were there straight away. The beer also took a while to arrive 😒... Our burgers were amazing the first day, but our dinner on the second day was nothing special. I only had a schnitzel with fried potatoes, but I'd rather not know what they cooked it on... I'll never go back there again...

Fantastic service, great beers, delicious food – and service dog friendly! We had a wonderful experience here. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, the selection of beers was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. On top of that, it was such a relief to find a place that is friendly and accommodating toward service dogs. Highly recommended!

The waitress, Isi, served us very well. There were four of us and we had a lovely seat in the winter garden. The food was fantastic, especially the schnitzel. The value for money was also incredible. Another little tip is the old house schnapps.

The home-brewed beer is okay, I'd say. The service was very friendly. But the food has declined significantly in recent years. The fried potatoes were the worst I've ever had. Inedible.

Nice service, but the lunch buffet was abysmal. The salad looked like it had been cut two days ago, the schnitzels (vegan and meaty) were simply frozen, and the vegetables were completely overcooked and tasteless. Too bad, it used to be better...

Surprisingly unfriendly and unprofessional. If you criticize directly, i.e., address specific deficiencies, the staff will give you contemptuous looks. You learn very clearly that as a guest you just have to accept the situation and, as someone who is ignorant, you should keep quiet. What was criticized? The quality and taste of the food, the long waiting times, and the quality of the drinks service. This was the second visit in a row because our guests found the location so wonderful. But location alone isn't enough. There are alternatives for discerning hospitality.

A beautiful summer evening can end in disappointment here. Long waits. Salads aren't fresh (prepared for a long time and stale). Prices are completely inflated. A cocktail here is distinguished only by its sweetness. It seems hastily and inexpertly thrown together. A combination of flavors, high-quality ingredients, and a harmonious texture – that's probably unknown there. They even skimped on the ice. The brewery thrives on its convenient location and foot traffic. The restaurant industry in Germany is in troubled waters, and such poor service and lack of it is contributing to its decline. It's simply a shame.

A little insider tip at Oldenburg's tiny harbor. Perfect for a spontaneous stop with excellent food and drinks after a movie or an excursion. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Delicious beer, delicious food. My favorite beers: Kellerbier and Black Betty. The brewery schnitzel with beer gravy and fried potatoes was the perfect amount to fill you up. The portion of beer gravy could be larger. The service was a bit choppy at first. I'll definitely be back.

I don't know when I last ate so badly. The salad was dried out, the vegetables with the meat were from a frozen bag – really, really awful. The fried potatoes didn't deserve the name, they were so pale, and lukewarm to boot. Even worse was the walk to the restroom: Even the walk there was dangerous, as the floor and steps were covered in a film of grease, so you had to hold on to avoid falling. The restroom itself was also really dirty. I wouldn't even drink a bottled beer here again. What a shame about the beautiful location by the harbor...

We were there today and were really disappointed by the brewery... At first, we were barely noticed. A loud humming sounded from the kitchen inside, so we sat outside. And then the food arrived... Schnitzel with fried potatoes and beer sauce and the sliced ​​meat with hash browns... and I have to say, it was consistently bad. They only used ready-made products, there was no seasoning, the meat was limp (from the deep fryer), nothing crispy... simply a shame and sad for the "brewery" location. We had the food returned...

Unfortunately, it wasn't the pleasant end to the day that it should have been. The wait for the food was almost 1.5 hours, which was hardly tolerable. Especially since the time it took to take our orders had already dragged on despite actively requesting it. It certainly would have helped if we had been informed in advance about this unreasonable wait, then we could have decided whether simple brewery fare was worth it. As it was, it only led to a lot of dissatisfaction, which even a small discount couldn't offset. The food tasted okay. It's too loud for conversations beyond the immediate neighbors. The restrooms are located in the basement and were not in good condition during our visit, and this didn't change even after we pointed this out.

The servers were polite and quick. The beer selection is great! The food was tasty but cold, but we mentioned that when we arrived. Update: The food has gone downhill considerably. The food was completely pre-prepared (fish and dippers). It was well prepared but still too expensive for what you get. The beer is top-notch, nothing to complain about.

Generally, the staff were very helpful, but we felt they were understaffed. Our food was ready for the waiters to pick up when my friend went to the restroom. When she was finished, it was still there, and we had to wait another five minutes. The food itself was delicious, but the wait was clearly noticeable in the dippers. The men's restrooms unfortunately smelled very strongly of urine. A great restaurant in itself, but they urgently need more staff to relieve the pressure on the employees.

In the end, our visit was perhaps even a bit disappointing. The best beer and one of the most beautiful locations in the city, but I unfortunately have to agree with the criticisms in the reviews. The kitchen can't adequately serve the seating, and there are long waits for the food to arrive. For me, the company already has a solution, but it hasn't fully implemented it. Why don't I push the "Pickup from here from the pavilion/Service without food" sign farther towards the restaurant until I can serve the influx of visitors? The burger itself was good, and the fries were sensational when the food arrived an hour later. The service was busy in the weather, but was always courteous and friendly.

Friendly service! Food was reheated (hot on the outside, cold on the inside). Both dishes (goulash and roulade) were dry and poorly presented. Cucumber salad was missing from the goulash, but I was given a mixed salad upon request. The beer was flat.

Today was our second time at Ols Brauhaus. The first time, despite having made a reservation, we were seated at a high table where my parents, who are over 80, could barely sit. The staff were unwilling to swap tables. Nevertheless, we gave the restaurant a second chance today. The table was okay this time. We ordered Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes. Initially, the food took a very long time to arrive. When it finally arrived, the fried potatoes were almost cold and half of them were charred black. Almost like briquettes. Inedible in no way. When we spoke to the server about it, she said she was sorry and that she heard similar criticisms from other guests too. But she couldn't change it. Sorry, but I've rarely experienced such service. We won't be going to Ols again anytime soon.
