Very nice atmosphere and good service, good selection and delicious food, just a bit noisy.

The location and the ambience are still TOP! As always, the food was good and delivered quickly. Deductions this time, however: The price level that has now been reached does not necessarily match the ENTIRE package! There used to be a greeting from the kitchen (we didn't have one) and I expect a friendly greeting! Hectic looks and the annoyed question “did you make a reservation” as first contact should not occur in the league (4 tables were occupied!)

We have reserved a table. That worked fine. An employee walked us to our table. Received at the same time the drinks and menu. The menu is not as diverse as in, for example a pizzeria. Nevertheless, the dishes are tastefully put together. The Employees are very friendly, attentive and empathetic. Our food was brought to the table after a short time. Unfortunately I have two negative points: - The starter (soup) was only lukewarm But we didn't report them. - Unfortunately the restaurant got very full quickly what the volume of the conversations lifted. This made it normal Entertainment not possible. Nevertheless, I really like this restaurant recommend and we certainly will come back. A big thank you to the team and the kitchen!!!🌻

The harbor house has a very good location on the outskirts of Oldenburg. The atmosphere is very nice, located directly at the lock and a good meeting point after walking tours or runs on the Hunte. The staff are very friendly, good lunch at fair prices. Great brunch, early registration is recommended.

Great place, nice cozy atmosphere, with a very committed team. There is even a lift for wheelchairs that leads to the toilets in the basement.

I had the pork schnitzel from the young bull with hash browns. The meat was very good, only the breading tasted like burnt fat. Instead of the crabs, which tasted like nothing, a small salad, which is served with it in other restaurants, would have been a better alternative. The service is very attentive and friendly and the decor is very nice.

Delicious and large breakfast buffet

After a long and beautiful walk along the Achterdiek, we had a wonderful, extremely delicious dinner outside. We were also spoiled with plenty of sun and several locks during our 2-hour stay. It's just a great spot in the middle of Oldenburg. The staff was very friendly, if a bit inattentive. The drink replenishment only worked with intensive personal initiative. Nevertheless, a favorite place and always recommended!

This is how gastronomy should be! We were warmly welcomed by the service and looked after attentively throughout the evening. Contrary to some reviews, food portions are not too small at all, this is not a discount temple. There is craftsmanship and specialist staff at work here, prices as they should be. It's subjective, but we enjoyed both the food and the drinks. Nice to mention, there is a children's play area one floor up (not looked at). If you want to complain, you can go to Café del Sol with two adults. Easily start with 50€, I'd rather spend a little more, but have a much higher quality standard! Gained new regulars

We were there for breakfast. Unfortunately everything inside was reserved and we could only sit outside. Since it was a bit cold, we were immediately offered blankets. The service in general was very attentive. Drinks were brought very quickly after ordering, even though it was quite busy. The ambience is fantastic. It is located at a small lock, just outside the city. You can observe a lot, depending on your choice of seating... The breakfast buffet has everything you need. Whether scrambled eggs, yoghurt, muesli, or simply cold cuts. There is even a variety of fish on offer. The only drawback is the parking situation... although... after a hearty breakfast you can also walk a bit. 😉

We were in the harbor house for the first time. I had the harbor burger. When I ordered I was asked whether it should be medium or well done. To be clear: I didn't have what I ordered. The food was still good, but the side dishes were very limited. My husband wasn't full. Price-performance ratio is therefore rather unsatisfactory. The wine and beer, however, were delicious. The service was friendly and the food came very quickly. There are no dedicated parking spaces. There you park on the gravel shoulder.

The ambience is particularly appealing when the weather is good because of the terrace, and the service is without exception courteous and quick. Unfortunately, the food is significantly inferior to the ambience and service. The expectation aroused by the price is not fulfilled by the food, in my case Oldenburger Pannfisch. The taste was rather boring, the fish was too dry and, apart from the salmon, couldn't be assigned to its species, the mashed potatoes were mushy, the mustard foam only corresponded to the name in color and the cucumber salad was missing the advertised dill. The second dish, Matjestopf Hafenhaus, was the better choice but without setting a special accent. Conclusion: Anyone who pays €50 for two simple dishes should be convincing and do better craftsmanship.

If you can get a spot outside by the canal, this place to stay in Oldenburg can't be beat! The food is good, as is the breakfast buffet and the cake. However, the prices are tough! Therefore only four stars!

Leider unter aller Kanone. Mehr als 1,5 Stunden warten auf Mittagstisch. Geschnetzeltes war keins sondern hauchdünn geschnittene Scheiben von irgendwas, Rotbarschfilet ca. 0,5 cm hoch in der Größe eines 5 €-Scheins, ein Röschen Brokkoli. Ausrede auf Nachfrage war ein "großer Tisch" aber dort saßen nur 7 Leute. Herausforderung? Mein Fazit: ihr könnt ohne uns

Overall a very nice restaurant. You can look at the menu in advance on the homepage and make a reservation. Still a rarity in 2024. The staff is very present and also very nice. The food came very quickly (reserved at 6 p.m., finished eating at 6:35 p.m.). The only thing that can be improved in my opinion is the price-performance ratio. Either too expensive for too little food or too little food for too much money. Apart from that, in terms of taste, everything I've eaten so far is A1. This includes bread, spinach dumplings and two types of burgers. Overall, definitely recommended. Update: Went there again 2 months later. The menu was changed and this time there was a pinsa with ham. Basically, like a giant bruschetta. The dough was very tasty and not too hard. To drink a harbor spritzer. Everything tasted very good. Even though it was very busy, the food came again after 30 minutes (4 portions). For dessert there was a cookie cup. The ice cream also tastes good. So good, but not very good (yet). But that's just my opinion. What's also worth mentioning: Both times so far there has been a “greeting from the kitchen” in the form of bread, salt and olive oil. Very delicious!

Unfortunately, the selection of vegetarian dishes was not that large and my choice was not available. Otherwise, the cocktails had too much sugar and the portion of pasta was very manageable. We've had better experiences. Maybe the cuisine has changed? It's a shame because you can sit there very well by the water.

It bothered me that the warm food was left open while the cold cuts were in the boxes where food is kept warm. Otherwise there is a diverse selection and very tasty.

We were guests with two dogs for late lunch. The waitress immediately brought a bowl of fresh water for the dogs. Our food was very good! As a surprise, there was a “sweet greeting from the kitchen” as dessert. This is how you make two women happy :-) The service was present and very nice! The tables on the terrace are arranged so generously that two medium-sized dogs do not disturb them. We would like to come again!!!

The ambience and service were very good. We were there for dinner and got the vegan burger with fries twice. The patty from Beyond Meat was definitely a big plus. Otherwise the burger consisted of dry buns, a (!) leaf of iceberg lettuce and a slice of tomato. In addition, everything was clear except the fries. The whole thing for just under €20. I'll come back for breakfast, but not dinner.

The restaurant is beautifully located on the water and has an appealing ambience. The catering concept is ambitious, but the prices are a bit too expensive and the menu promises more than the dishes actually deliver. Attentive service.

Very nice restaurant - in a fantastic location - when it's summer in OL. Nice service, the food was very tasty. The portions could be a little bigger or the food could be a little cheaper. All in all, very nice and you pay a fiver more for the location. The Chanpagner dessert is worth every penny.

We were there twice. Firstly last night and then again this morning for breakfast!! Sensationally good. The ambience - right on the canal, quiet and cozy. The food - especially the breakfast buffet this morning - left nothing to be desired. Not only was the variety very good - the fresh food was also exemplary. The service worked very well - despite there being a lot of guests there was nothing to complain about. A big THANK YOU to the team at the Hafenhaus in Oldenburg. By the way - the prices were good. You pay more for less quality elsewhere.

A really great and chic restoration furnished with attention to detail. We were here with several people and had a separate corner for ourselves. So we had to ourselves and didn't feel disturbed by other guests.

Delicious food in standard portions, but increased prices. When there are a lot of visitors, the building is very noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation.

Buffet has something for everyone, salty, sweet, fish, meat, cheese, sausage, muesli, cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, Nuremberg cheese, tomato mozzarella, yoghurt, quark, Flamkuchen, eggs, wraps, bread, rolls, Kaiserschmarrn, donats, foam kisses, ice cream... . If you don't find anything there, it's your own fault. Price per person 17 euros plus warm drinks.

Beautifully located in the countryside by the water with nice outdoor spaces. The group enjoyed the food overall, but there was room for improvement: no truffle taste in the truffle fries and sauce, the meat could be more tender. Staff friendly and committed.

After all these years, the breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired this time at Pentecost - the salmon was so overcooked and only after repeated requests was the buffet finally refilled at 10:30🤷‍♀️

We had a table where there were white flowers close to it, which I personally didn't like the smell of. I think they were lilies or something, they definitely weren't that pretty. Otherwise everything was great and we will definitely come back again!

Tippi Toppi! Very maritime inspired. Breakfast is a bank! But you can also enjoy a wonderful feast here at any time of the day. With a view that invites you to linger, it is a place to relax and feel good. The homemade special cocktails and the homemade pizza rolls are highly recommended. It's like the dog in the pan goes crazy. Luckily the dog stays outside the pan here. Only excellent food goes on your plate! If you don't eat here, you either haven't read this review or are just stupid! P.S.: Unfortunately, reservations are only possible indoors and not outdoors :(

Wir haben über eine Stunde auf das Essen (Spargelmenue) warten müssen, bis jemand vom Service kam und mitteilte, dass die Suppe vergessen worden sei, jetzt aber nachgekocht würde, der Hauptgang sei ja schon fertig. Nach einer weiteren halben Stunde kam die Spargelsuppe mit Fettaugen und fast rohen Spargelstückchen…geschmacklich unmöglich. Der Hauptgang - Spargel mit entweder Lachs, Schinken oder Schnitzel - kam pünktlich nach der Suppe: Spargel halbroh, Kartoffeln abgestanden, Lachs trocken, Sauce Hollandaise kalt, zerlassene Butter war anscheinend Bratenfett oder Öl. Die Portionen waren zu klein. Das Dessert ging gerade noch durch. Nie wieder!!

We imagined our wedding day differently... Mistakes can happen, but dealing with them wasn't very convincing. The portions are too small for the price. Four small potatoes with asparagus? A pity!

Great ambience, great location as the name suggests on the harbor. Ice cream parlor flop. Today is a hot day and what would be more perfect than an ice cream parlor? So I ordered one right away at the beautiful harbor. After 10 minutes a cold coffee with a milky surface arrived, which was probably my scoop of ice cream that had melted in the fridge. For €6 you could think about serving the customer a real iced latte. So unfortunately only 3 stars for the ambience. I'm happy to give you a second chance

I found this place a gem close to the artificial canal. Service if kind and friendly and the food I ordered was tasty. I recommend the hausgemachter Hafen Schnitzel and the Vitello Tonnato served as starters.

Great ambience with a nice place right at the lock. Attentive service and good food. Been there again and everything was great, except for the extremely high price, not just here. I understand that everything is becoming more expensive and VAT has been increased again. But my pain threshold is €15 for a breakfast buffet. But the €17 plus the cost of the drink now charged is no longer affordable. Unfortunately, I will have to miss out on some really nice times in the future.

We had a company party there today with 20 people and first had coffee and cake there and then in the early evening we were there again and had a warm meal. The ambience was great. The ladies at the service were also very nice, but unfortunately not all of them. At dinner it was a blast. We have already pre-ordered everyone so that everyone could prepare for it. There was such a nice gentleman handing it out that we thought we were at the station grill. Cheeky comments, stupid sayings and he was so annoyed, unbelievable. About the food: The asparagus was partly woody at the end, bitter and overall much too firm. The schnitzels were so small for the price. So I won't be seen there again.

Wonderful place to have fresh high quality seafood in an upscale restaurant by the canal. The lunch deal was amazingly cheap considering the portion of great fish we had with quinoa and yoghurt sauce. Coffee tasted wonderful too. Staff were nice. We will come back again for sure. The fish dishes we ordered were totally impressive due to the portion, taste and quality. The meat was juicy, tender and naturally delicious. We also had blueberry cheesecake that added a perfect end to the meal for two. Parking is available along the road in the front of restaurant so you have to depend on your luck to get a spot as it’s quite packed all the time.

The ambience was great but 3 of us ate the burger cold, which is why it only got 3 stars. Waiter was in a great mood
