Yesterday I drank coffee and ate cake in the Hafenhaus again for ten years. The cake was delicious but it was a very small piece. But the coffee topped everything. Super tasty. Then I treated myself to a second cup. The employees greeted us all as if we were their friends. As the Terminator so beautifully said? "I'll be back:!

Whether I can recommend this place...!!!!!! But so much!!!!!! As a wedding party, starters, main course platters and then coffee cake... unbeatably delicious and what our family unanimously said... the plates were very generously laid out and there was something for every taste. Vegans are even taken into consideration and planned for...great service

We had reserved a table on the occasion of my birthday and also asked that the table be decorated a little more stylishly. We arrived...no fancy table...no interest in congratulating us. When we bring this up, we are forced to apologize and an hour later, after we raise it again, a candle is put down. Prosecco ordered...is served arbitrarily with ice and mint (unfortunately unwashed and Prosecco contaminated with sand) STEAK FATTY AND GREASY 40e. There is no request for additional drinks or dessert... customers are not interested at all... tables are only being prepared for the next day. This staff is also ZERO interested in apologizing or something similar

First visit in transit. It was definitely worth it. Not for those on a tight budget or for short stays. Here you should take time to enjoy the food, ambience and view and learn to appreciate calm, always friendly service.

We were there this afternoon. Everything was very nicely prepared and very tasty.

As a vegan, I had great doubts as to whether I would have been able to eat anything other than rolls at the family brunch there. Of course, it has to be said that vegetarians and especially omnivores will find plenty of options there. Nevertheless, I had some vegan sausage and vegan cheese. There were also fried mushrooms, pineapple, melons, juice, margarine. The prices are not exactly low. A pot of coffee costs 12 euros. But I was really full and the shop is really pleasant. However, the owners should renew the website. There is nothing about the vegan offering there and you get a much less positive impression of the store than it is on site.

Unfortunately disappointing - a total failure, especially with dessert. We had dinner at the Hafenhaus in Oldenburg today - and to be honest, I expected a lot more given the prices. It started with my husband's salad: There was a piece of plastic in it with the word "OPEN" written on it, like you see on packaging. This immediately destroyed my trust. Something like this simply shouldn't happen - especially not in a restaurant in this price range. I had the truffle pasta. The portion was tiny, the noodles stuck together and there was hardly any taste of the truffle. Overall, very bland and loveless – far from what I was hoping for given the price. The waitress was at least friendly and brought a new salad after our complaint - that was fine. But then dessert came – and I was honestly at a loss for words. My son and I shared the dessert variation, and it was a complete failure: -The crème brûlée had absolutely no taste – zero sweetness, rather salty. -The pistachio ice cream tasted artificial - why they don't work with the ice cream manufacturer here is a mystery to me. -The coffee cream was just bitter coffee in cream form. Without sweetness, without sophistication. -The mascarpone cream was thick, buttery and tasted of nothing. My son said: “Like butter”. And unfortunately he was right. I addressed all the points - but the full price was still charged. No accommodation. Conclusion: If you are not served anything sweet for dessert but rather tasteless masses, something is fundamentally wrong. And if plastic ends up in the food, you can no longer ignore the lack of quality.

Three of us were there for breakfast today. A super tasty buffet with a lot of different dishes using fresh local products. We will definitely come again. Nothing could be said about the price of 19 euros per person either

Although it is a little embarrassing to admit it, it was GPT chat who recommended the site to us. On the way by train we looked for "vegan places with views to eat well" and, among others, that was the one he recommended to us. It is about 20 minutes walking from the center (castle) but it is really worth it, both for the walk and for the stay itself. We were very lucky, but it is advisable to book. Correct, we were very lucky because the sun came out and we were able to eat on the terrace, in the sun, next to the river... Suffering! We are in asparagus season so they had several specials on the menu that we couldn't not try... And the asparagus salad with strawberries was to die for, what a contrast of textures and flavors please! And then the desserts were to lick the plate too. Nothing, one hundred percent recommended. 1.- Seasonal asparagus salad, with strawberries, pickled vinaigrette and arugula. 2.- Carbonara pasta with cherry tomato and truffle. 3.- Extra pike (with a touch of lemon). 4.- Serving of homemade bread with salted asparagus butter. 5.- not so bad. 6.- Chocolate ice cream with cookies and chocolate. 7.- Plum cake. 8.- wheat beer. 9.- Letter.

Swiss prices A salad with chicken breast 28 euros. My congratulations to the operators, you obviously manage to charge Swiss prices. But wait, you earn three times as much there as in Aside Germany...

Very nice restaurant - in a fantastic location - when it's summer in OL. Nice service, the food was very tasty. The portions could be a little bigger or the food could be a little cheaper. All in all, very nice and you pay a fiver more for the location. The champagne dessert is worth every penny.

Chic, modern restaurant right on the water, with outdoor seating. The food was really tasty, something different than just burgers etc. The staff was also very friendly, the only small but... no one came to the table in between and asked for new drinks, etc. And there wasn't much going on that evening. Otherwise everything was great and recommended.

The Hafenhaus in Oldenburg is a truly wonderful location that invites you to linger. From the moment you enter, you feel welcomed by the warm welcome and the super friendly service. Particularly noteworthy is the fast service and the personalized attention, with requests being addressed immediately. The drinks are excellent, and the food is simply delicious. The cozy outdoor area also offers a beautiful view of the lock and contributes to the relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the Hafenhaus and am already looking forward to returning!

The Oldenburg harbor house is always suitable for a visit. Especially when the weather is good, you can sit outside and watch the ships come in and out of the lock. The service works very well, the iced wine glasses are great. The lunch dishes are fair portions at a good price. The evening menu is very varied and also has vegan and vegetarian options. Overall, a recommendation at any time.

We took a coffee break in the harbor house this afternoon. The cake was thawed and served with cream that didn't deserve its name. The large cappuccino had nothing to do with it. It was more of a coffee and milk mixture. The service staff were pretty headless. We waited 15 minutes for the waiter to arrive were served. Fine dining looks different to me. Only the prices were higher.

A very nice place to have breakfast. Great location at the Oldenburg lock. The breakfast buffet was rich and always well topped up. Nice staff who are very friendly. The only criticism: there are no signs at the buffet about what is offered in the pots, etc.

Pizza Pisa was delicious. Unfortunately, the jacket potatoes for the main course were soggy and had been in the water for too long. In relation to the high price, I found the food to be mediocre.

We were registered for breakfast with 20 people. A beautifully and lovingly set breakfast table awaited us, the breakfast was excellent and we were looked after intensively by the ladies in the service staff despite the many other breakfast guests. Thank you for everything!

Since I didn't get to eat because of the abysmal service, I can't comment on it at all, but I would like to expressly complain. My friend reserved a table for us for our anniversary because the ambience looked great in the photos. Even while waiting we were put off for a moment because the table still had to be cleaned. After studying the menu, the waitress came to take the order and my friend pointed to the menu what kind of wine he would like and said he would like that one. The waitress just responded with a grumpy “What’s that name?” Completely inappropriate. Before I could place my order, she simply left and said "I'll come back soon" to collect another table. We then left. I have never experienced such bad service. It should be said that the restaurant was not particularly full and three people worked in service. This outrageous behavior was not due to stress.

Nice location for a breakfast brunch. I particularly liked the tarte flambée and the whole salmon. I also like the fact that you can watch the scrambled eggs being prepared directly behind the counter. Nice place by the window to “watch the ships” right at the lock

For the last 3 years, my colleagues and I have always had dinner together at the Hafenhaus at Christmas time. Unfortunately, the food served was not convincing this time. The veggie burgers and the fish dish were not culinary convincing. The fish and the side dish (30€) were "swimming" in oil and the expected taste experience, as the menu had suggested, unfortunately did not materialize and only an oily/greasy taste dominated. The veggie burger patties were more cold inside than hot and the burgers overall lacked sophistication. The note to the operator was only acknowledged with a "...it's a shame"...(). Unfortunately, the promised appetizer at the start didn't come. The restaurant was only about half full at the time. Our conclusion in my group is that in previous years the cuisine was much better...whatever the reason, we will no longer order warm food in the Hafenhaus until further notice. I hope the kitchen returns to its former strength in the future... PS: Creme Brulee was the only culinary bright spot that evening😉

Nice atmosphere right at the lock. In summer you can look at the ships passing through the lock in the beer garden. The breakfast buffet during the week was very good and plentiful. The price/performance ratio was completely ok. Hot drinks have to be paid extra. The service was friendly.

Yesterday we were at the Hafenhaus Oldenburg with 4 people. Reserve conveniently via the website. I was surprised to see that after making the reservation, an extra page opened and offered a white-covered table for 3.50 per person. I didn't think so, but later saw that a table next to us was actually set up. Strange for me in the overall appearance of the restaurant. More on that later. The service was quick and very friendly. So we were able to place our order. The prices are already increased, hardly a dish is under 20 euros, many are over 30 euros. 0.5 liters of beer for 6.90, even if it's a special beer from a small brewery, people please take a look at a colleague, e.g. B. in Bremen, that can be done better. Well, we know about the challenges of the catering industry. The food came after a very short time, but the restaurant was very poorly attended. So you can't evaluate what it would have been like if the restaurant had been booked in the beginning. The portions are minimalist, that's what I can say in conclusion. With a zander for over 30 euros, there were two narrow pieces of fillet about 10 cm long on the plate, unfortunately cooked to death, which is very difficult to avoid with such small pieces. My son is an athlete. He had a starter, main course and dessert and in the end I felt sorry for him because he probably left the table hungry. I was thinking about ordering another meal, but that wouldn't have been great for the rest of us at the table. Unfortunately, our dessert, a variation of the house, was almost sugary. Sugar is the poison of our time, I know. But if I consciously treat myself to a dessert variation on the occasion of a special evening, I leave it alone. Except for the crème brulée, where a little flavor came through from the caramelized sugar, the coffee mousse tasted like coffee, but unfortunately nothing else. This also applied to the other variants. Conclusion: Spending 190 euros for 4 people is not really an issue in upscale restaurants with 3 starters, 3 main courses and two desserts and drinks, it can be much more expensive. But the calculations here are clearly too high and the food was without the character that I would like to go back immediately. No taste experience. The high-quality ambience undoubtedly costs a lot of money, but here standards do not match reality, or, and this could also be the case, our taste standards do not match the owner's gastronomic concept. It's a shame, because I'm still looking for a permanent place to go in Oldenburg, but based on the points I've listed, it's not it and the additional option of a white set table for 3.50 per person mentioned in the above section once again illustrates the business model: Make money, make more money.

We waited forever for the dishes we ordered, when they were served two dishes were wrong and the cocoa was totally watery... after we commented on this, it was snidely taken back and it took forever again until the cake was served..... Absolutely disappointing for us as we like to enjoy coffee and cake here. Unfortunately, the farewell was also very snippy and condescending.... Service 6-

A very nice restaurant at the lock. A bit of maritime decor, the decoration is particularly noteworthy. Halloween is over, but the spider webs inside and outside are in no way inferior. Despite everything, the food is very tasty 😋 I think we'll try it again in the summer, on the terrace with a view of the water.

We had the breakfast buffet today. The two little ones were immediately provided with painting supplies, and the older ones were given coffee and other drinks. The service is very polite and accommodating. After a small mishap on our part, the friendly lady helped us immediately and got rid of everything, and with a friendliness - really great. The buffet not only looked great, it tasted very tasty, which was noticeable on much too full bellies. We were asked again and again if we needed anything else, but not in an intrusive manner, but consistently friendly and funny. Thank you for the morning 😀

You can easily combine an afternoon walk between Hunte and the coastal canal with a visit. Plenty and good selection of hot drinks and various cakes. In the afternoon the service is also very good and attentive. In the evening you should have a table reservation. It is very busy and the staff seemed overwhelmed during our visit. Unfortunately, there was no obvious responsibility for serving the tables, so there were misunderstandings, double inquiries or even no attention at all. The food served was presented very differently. One dish was excellent (flambée) and the second was soggy and cold and we complained (a burger). The staff apologized and immediately came to meet us. At the next table, the same dish ordered was placed on the plates in different quantities and served differently, which led to irritation. We had to wait over 30 minutes for the dessert we ordered later. Because there were also problems with the transmission device to the kitchen that evening, the staff apologized again. The conclusion for us is that the Hafenhaus definitely stands out in a great ambience in a special location! In the afternoon it was cozy and very enjoyable. In the evenings, however, it seemed confusing and tended to overwhelm the staff. The food could not be enjoyed and there was a lack of polite, reliable attention from the staff at the table.

Deductions this time, however: The price level that has now been reached does not necessarily match the ENTIRE package! There used to be a greeting from the kitchen (we didn't have one) and I expect a friendly greeting! Hectic looks and the annoyed question “did you make a reservation” as first contact should not occur in the league (4 tables were occupied!)

We have reserved a table. That worked fine. An employee walked us to our table. Received at the same time the drinks and menu. The menu is not as diverse as in, for example a pizzeria. Nevertheless, the dishes are tastefully put together. The Employees are very friendly, attentive and empathetic. Our food was brought to the table after a short time. Unfortunately I have two negative points: - The starter (soup) was only lukewarm But we didn't report them. - Unfortunately the restaurant got very full quickly what the volume of the conversations lifted. This made it normal Entertainment not possible. Nevertheless, I really like this restaurant recommend and we certainly will come back. A big thank you to the team and the kitchen!!!🌻

The harbor house has a very good location on the outskirts of Oldenburg. The atmosphere is very nice, located directly at the lock and a good meeting point after walking tours or runs on the Hunte. The staff are very friendly, good lunch at fair prices. Great brunch, early registration is recommended.

I had the pork schnitzel from the young bull with hash browns. The meat was very good, only the breading tasted like burnt fat. Instead of the crabs, which tasted like nothing, a small salad, which is served with it in other restaurants, would have been a better alternative. The service is very attentive and friendly and the decor is very nice.

After a long and beautiful walk along the Achterdiek, we had a wonderful, extremely delicious dinner outside. We were also spoiled with plenty of sun and several locks during our 2-hour stay. It's just a great spot in the middle of Oldenburg. The staff was very friendly, if a bit inattentive. The drink replenishment only worked with intensive personal initiative. Nevertheless, a favorite place and always recommended!

This is how gastronomy should be! We were warmly welcomed by the service and looked after attentively throughout the evening. Contrary to some reviews, food portions are not too small at all, this is not a discount temple. There is craftsmanship and specialist staff at work here, prices as they should be. It's subjective, but we enjoyed both the food and the drinks. Nice to mention, there is a children's play area one floor up (not looked at). If you want to complain, you can go to Café del Sol with two adults. Easily start with 50€, I'd rather spend a little more, but have a much higher quality standard! Gained new regulars

We were there for breakfast. Unfortunately everything inside was reserved and we could only sit outside. Since it was a bit cold, we were immediately offered blankets. The service in general was very attentive. Drinks were brought very quickly after ordering, even though it was quite busy. The ambience is fantastic. It is located at a small lock, just outside the city. You can observe a lot, depending on your choice of seating... The breakfast buffet has everything you need. Whether scrambled eggs, yoghurt, muesli, or simply cold cuts. There is even a variety of fish on offer. The only drawback is the parking situation... although... after a hearty breakfast you can also walk a bit. 😉

We were in the harbor house for the first time. I had the harbor burger. When I ordered I was asked whether it should be medium or well done. To be clear: I didn't have what I ordered. The food was still good, but the side dishes were very limited. My husband wasn't full. Price-performance ratio is therefore rather unsatisfactory. The wine and beer, however, were delicious. The service was friendly and the food came very quickly. There are no dedicated parking spaces. There you park on the gravel shoulder.

The ambience is particularly appealing when the weather is good because of the terrace, and the service is without exception courteous and quick. Unfortunately, the food is significantly inferior to the ambience and service. The expectation aroused by the price is not fulfilled by the food, in my case Oldenburger Pannfisch. The taste was rather boring, the fish was too dry and, apart from the salmon, couldn't be assigned to its species, the mashed potatoes were mushy, the mustard foam only corresponded to the name in color and the cucumber salad was missing the advertised dill. The second dish, Matjestopf Hafenhaus, was the better choice but without setting a special accent. Conclusion: Anyone who pays €50 for two simple dishes should be convincing and do better craftsmanship.

Geschnetzeltes war keins sondern hauchdünn geschnittene Scheiben von irgendwas, Rotbarschfilet ca. 0,5 cm hoch in der Größe eines 5 €-Scheins, ein Röschen Brokkoli. Ausrede auf Nachfrage war ein "großer Tisch" aber dort saßen nur 7 Leute. Herausforderung? Mein Fazit: ihr könnt ohne uns

Overall a very nice restaurant. You can look at the menu in advance on the homepage and make a reservation. Still a rarity in 2024. The staff is very present and also very nice. The food came very quickly (reserved at 6 p.m., finished eating at 6:35 p.m.). The only thing that can be improved in my opinion is the price-performance ratio. Either too expensive for too little food or too little food for too much money. Apart from that, in terms of taste, everything I've eaten so far is A1. This includes bread, spinach dumplings and two types of burgers. Overall, definitely recommended. Update: Went there again 2 months later. The menu was changed and this time there was a pinsa with ham. Basically, like a giant bruschetta. The dough was very tasty and not too hard. To drink a harbor spritzer. Everything tasted very good. Even though it was very busy, the food came again after 30 minutes (4 portions). For dessert there was a cookie cup. The ice cream also tastes good. So good, but not very good (yet). But that's just my opinion. What's also worth mentioning: Both times so far there has been a “greeting from the kitchen” in the form of bread, salt and olive oil. Very delicious!
