Really good cocktails and delicious burgers, very centrally located at Johannes Markt. Fast service staff and helpful. There was only a small aftertaste on the bill. There are different prices on the cards as are stored in the Kadsen system... Not exactly fair and can really spoil the great visit. Too bad

In terms of decor, it's just a pub - I like it a lot. The drink selection is limited but very good. The location is excellent because the pub is adjacent to the shopping mile at the beginning of the old town. We were very positively surprised by the quality of the food: we had fish & chips and it tasted extremely good. The cod in beer batter easily rivals that on the Dutch coast. The quantity was huge, even though I'm a really good eater, I unfortunately had to leave a few fries left over.

Great service. In the middle of the old town. You can also sit comfortably outside. The toilets are a disaster

Only when they add up on some nice music, than they will have the 5 stars, on top the food was not hot enough. but the taste was good and the service was perfect. in total a very nice experience and i will definately go again!

Normally we always go to the pub, for about 6 months we have often paid double or triple and often had discussions because the employees don't seem to understand the cash register system, so we are now at the point where we would rather look for something else. A pity. The pub has always been a place to feel good, but since I've been confronted with unfriendliness and ignorance it's more of a second choice.

Great location right on the St. Johanner Markt, the food and drink selection are also good. However, the toilets are pretty dirty and the prices for Guinness are way too high.

We went for drinks, the atmosphere was very pleasant despite it being full, our drinks were served very quickly. And they were really delicious. The servers were friendly and kind. There was even a cigarette dispenser inside, which definitely gave me 90's vibes. Overall, it is a great spot for students.

Da hat sich der alte Murphy ein schönes Plätzchen für einen "irischen" Pub ausgesucht. Typisch irisch: die Bedienungen tragen Guinness-T-Shirts, die Gäste auch. Draußen sitzend kann das wilde Treiben auf dem Johanni, wie der Saarbrückenener den St. Johanner Markt liebevoll nennt, beobachtet werden.

Gutes Lokal, gute Stimmung, komme gerne her. Man sollte nur etwas auf das Trinkgeld achten. Wenn man betrunken ist fragt der ein oder andere auch mal nach 10€ anstatt 5€ Trinkgeld. Was vielleicht etwas forsch wirkt, aber im ganzen nicht so schlimm ist, da man guten Service bekommt und nicht lange warten muss🍻

Der Burger sind echt nicht gut, man sollte hier besser nur der Getränke wegen herkommen. Außerdem sind die Toiletten echt dreckig.

Gute Auswahl an Getränke und der Karaoke-Abend am Donnerstag ist immer ein Besuch wert!

Schönes Pub mit guter Bierauswahl. Essen ist auch ganz gut. Es ist allerdings ein bisschen teuer.

Gut gelegener Pub, freundliches Personal und eine gute Getränkeauswahl. Ich würde mir aber mehr Auswahl an Craft Beer wünschen, zumal der Hop Shop dazu gehört. Die Burger waren in Ordnung, das Patty war aber Fabrikware, so sticht man nicht aus der Masse heraus.

Ich finde es insgesamt solide, aber mir fehlt doch etwas der irische Flair. Das Essen überzeugt leider nicht und der Service war nicht so aufmerksam, aber es sind ständig coole Events und insgesamt ist es ganz nice dort.

Super pub Gehen den Wünschen der Besucher nach Auch nach einem Wunschlied (last Christmas) und das im Sommer wurde nachgegangen "Junggesellenabschied"

Besuch an einem sonnigen Tag. Der grosse Aussenbereich war gut besucht. Servicekräfte waren flott und freundlich unterwegs und auch immer bei den Kunden. Recht hohe Preise, kleines Guinness z.B. 4,70 Euro. Toiletten (Herren) bei meiner Bewertung total durchgefallen! Unsauber und ein kaum aushaltbarer Uringeruch...

Gute Auswahl an Essen und Trinken. Sehr zentral in der Innenstadt

Haben hier nur etwas getrunken somit kann ich das Essen nicht bewerten. Ein cocktail in einem kleinen Glas servieren und über 8€ verlangen finde ich schon sehr teuer. Das Wasser mit über 6€ naja.

Weitaus bester Irish Pub in der Umgebung. Nach Pubtour in Saarbrücken definitiv das Highlight der Irish Pubs. Getränke, sowie Essen und Service ist top. Einfach nach Hugo fragen.. Nur zu empfehlen.

Situé sur la place, pub avec une bonne ambiance. Le personnel y est très sympathique. Pour ceux qui recherchent que des bières allemande à boire...il ne faut pas oublier que c'est un pub irlandais....

Der Salat war sandig, also zu wenig gewaschen und es gab sehr wenig Salatdressing. Wir können die Salatteller nicht weiterempfehlen. Die Toilette ist heruntergekommen und auch nicht sehr sauber.

Angenehmes Ambiente auf einem schönen Platz mitten in Saarbrücken. Essen und Trinken ist super. Wir waren mehrmals mit einer grosser Gruppe (+15) dort. Dies hatte längere Wartezeiten zur folge. Auf meinen Burger habe ich schlussendlich 40 Minuten gewartet.

We sat on their terrace during an evening. There was a bit of people, not packed thought. We ordered drinks and nachos. Nachos never came in. After a while, we realised that all the tables around were also waiting for food. Since the time of our train was approaching, we asked to cancel the nachos and pay for our drinks. No apologize. Average service, quite expensive. Will probably go somewhere else next time.

Ich besuche das old Murphy's gerne und regelmäßig. Die Athmosphäre ist toll, vor allem bei Livemusik. Der Dublinburger schmeckt super und der Preis ist bei der Portion auch okay.

Ordered a couple of hamburgers. All buns was cold on the bottom!? I was really disappointed because place seemed quite nice. Another problem was that they did not take credit cards. Kinda strange in this day and age.

My gold standard for an "Irish" pub is the ability to properly pour and serve a Black & Tan. The bartender at this place didn't even attempt to do a proper pour. She just slammed the pint glass under the Killians tap and after it was about 2/3ds full finished it off with the Guiness just as sloppily drawn. She slammed the glass down in front of me with a look that pretty much said - "here's your *$#@(&^% black and tan". As for the atmosphere I felt I was in more of a punk nightclub than an Irish styled pub. I say 'styled' because this place is in Germany. I didn't get the try any food as the kitchen was under renovation. Bottom line is there are lots of other choices for food and drink.

It's worth mentioning that one of Old Murphy's go-to formulas is the Irish Car Bomb, (which is, for the uninitiated, a great way to get some quick bang for your buck. I mean get drunk). Combined with great music and kick##s staff, I'd recommend it to anyone (except the faint of heart, the grouchy lost souls, the lacking in understanding, the totally deaf, the tee-totallers, the very high-class, the overly high-class, the wolves, and the saucers of milk)

Wenn das Service und die Atmosphäre stimmen , erwarten wir auch dass die produkte auch schmecken , und nicht ausgetrocknet serviert werden . Das Angus Fleisch ist einfach zu fein gehackt und komplett durchgebraten , damit kein Aroma und Gecshmack mehr present sind . Stark enttäuscht . Insbesondere auch vom Preis her . Hat mit Burger nicht mehr mit den jenigen aus Schottland , Irland , USA und sogar aus Frnkreich zu tun . Dort kann man die Atmosphäre und ein schönes Bier geniessen , aber kein Burger essen . Tut mir leid .

Das Urige Ambiente, die nahezu tägliche Livemusik, das gute Essen sowie die schnelle und freundliche Bedienung lassen keinen Wunsch offen. Besuche dieses Lokal regelmäßig und kann es, mit Ausnahme für Rollstuhlfahrer (ist recht eng, hat 2 Etagen und keinen Fahrstuhl) wo ich es nur bedingt empfehle, jedem nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben hier nur etwas getrunken, waren aber rundum zufrieden. Freundlicher Service. Anständige Getränke. So muss das sein!

The title says it all. In a city of great pubs and restaurants, Old Murphy's stands out. Not my first visit and certainly not my last.

Die Burger im Old Murphy´s sind wirklich sehr gut. Einer der besten Burger der Stadt. Leider sind die Preise mittlerweile kräftig angezogen. Die Atmosphäre ist ganz Ok. Besser ist es im Sommer draußen zu sitzen. Was mich Hauptsächlich im Innenraum stört ist die viel zu laute Musik. Für eine Disco OK, aber nicht für ein Pub. Davon mal abgesehen ein schöner Laden mit gutem Essen.

Das Old Murphies ist natürlich kein Gourmet-Restaurant. Wer gemütlich ein Bier trinken will, ist hier richtig. Essen würde ich hier nicht mehr gehen.
