Were there again for the first time after leaving Lüdo and I have to say the food and the service were very good. We'd love to come back. I can recommend it to everyone.

A big compliment for the food but ultimately the guest would also like to enjoy a drink with their food! The sad fact that there is only one type of beer on site, which certainly doesn't appeal to everyone, and €5 for a half-filled glass of wine is definitely too high! Ergo: a good restaurant needs at least 3 types of beer to give the guest a free choice!

Went to Ola Kala for the first time and loved it! The portions are very good and the price-performance ratio is right. The staff is very attentive and friendly. You can sit outside and inside - very cozy, pleasant atmosphere! I had ordered a plate (I think it was the Rhodes plate) with gyros and souvlaki and I bow to the gyros: such a great gyro, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and perfectly seasoned - it was a real joy to eat may. But the souvlaki was also great, but the gyros, man, I'm still dreaming about it today. So, if you're in Haltern and like Greek cuisine, I unreservedly recommend Ola Kala

Here you will always receive very friendly service and you will feel like you are on holiday in Greece. The food is very tasty and of good quality, we are particularly impressed by the warm feta and the lamb fillet. We eat at Ola Kala regularly and would love to come back! Today we visited the Greek restaurant in the pedestrian arcade on a sunny Sunday. We were traveling with four people and were happy about the central, yet surprisingly quiet location of the restaurant. The atmosphere in the pedestrian zone was pleasant and we were able to relax and enjoy our meal without being disturbed by the usual hustle and bustle. Let's get to the food: As a starter we chose the olive and pepperoni platter with bread. We really liked this choice. The pepperoni was excellently prepared, with a mild yet spicy note that suited every taste. The olives, although larger than expected, impressed with their fresh and pleasant taste. Personally I prefer smaller olives, but in this case I was okay with the size as they were good quality. The bread served with it was freshly baked, very soft and tasted excellent. For a price of 5 euros, this starter was a real highlight and offered very good value for money. For the main course I chose the liver gyros platter, which is listed on the menu under the name “Delphi platter”. I have to say that the liver was very well prepared - tender, juicy and with a perfectly balanced seasoning. The taste was balanced and showed that the kitchen values ​​quality and freshness. What is particularly positive is that all dishes were served hot, which is unfortunately not always a given in many restaurants. This shows that the dishes are freshly prepared and brought to the table without delay - a clear sign of good organization in the kitchen. Unfortunately, there are also a few points that were less convincing to us. The gyros, which was also part of my main course, had a high fat content, which somewhat diminished the enjoyment for me. Although fat is part of the gyro, in this case there was just too much and it negatively affected the taste and mouthfeel. The tzatziki, although intense in taste, seemed more like a ready-made product and not homemade. For an authentic Greek restaurant this is a bit disappointing as I would have expected more freshness and individuality here. In total, the bill for four people was around 100 euros, which can be seen as fair given the central location and the quality of the food on offer. Despite the criticisms, our visit was overall satisfactory and we enjoyed our stay. That's why I give it a solid 3 stars. It was a good, average experience with some ups and few downs, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially in the preparation of the gyro and the choice of side dishes.

My family's favorite restaurant. A little Greek break with cheerful & attentive staff and delicious food. My highlight 'Moussaka'. The whole family enjoys it, regardless of whether it's gyros or a vegetarian dish. The restaurant is located in the pedestrian zone and can easily be combined with a short stroll through the city.

I wanted to buy a voucher. The first thing the operator said to me was “the voucher is only valid for 6 months”. I felt a little offended. Especially since it is not correct according to German law. According to the law, a restaurant can decide for itself, but it must be a reasonable amount of time and that would be from 1 year. I found it very unfortunate how I was spoken to.

As a Greek, I am always very skeptical of other Greeks. We were welcomed and served very nicely. The food was very authentic and extremely tasty. Gyros in particular are often heavily seasoned as if they had something to hide. But here the gyros was extremely tasty, juicy and not spicy. The same applies to the souvlakia. My wife had pork tenderloin, a poem. All in all, a very tasty meal with very nice people. My skepticism vanished. Can you please move to my village or open a branch..? ☺️

We drove from Dortmund to Haltern and were unfortunately disappointed. After ordering we had to wait 80 minutes for our food because our order disappeared on the way to the kitchen. Then what we ordered wasn't brought, but at least it tasted very good. As compensation we got an ouzo, which everyone gets for free after the meal anyway. Well, there probably won't be a special trip to Haltern anymore. 😒

Had a very good, traditional Greek meal there last night. After a long search, we finally found a Greek guy who really cooks Greek and we immediately felt like we were on vacation.

Sehr leckeres 😋 griechische Restaurant. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Freundliche und zügige Bedienung. Das Essen hat uns allen (5 Pers.) gut geschmeckt. Der Preis war gut (unsere Gerichte alle noch unter 20 €). Zum Schluss gab es noch einen Ouzo. Das Lokal ist wohl sehr beliebt. Selbst in der Woche (Dienstag früher Abend) war es gut besucht. Wir hatten Glück, noch einen Tisch zu bekommen. Beim nächsten Mal reservieren wir vorsichtshalber vorher.

Wir waren mit 10 Personen dort. Das Essen kam für alle schnell und war sehr lecker. Die Portionen sind wirklich reichlich. Besondere Mühe gab man sich, als ich, ein paar Tage vorher, die leckere, vegetarische Lasagne als laktosefreies Gericht (sie ist übrigens auch glutenfrei) angefragt habe. Mit Bechamelsoße und Käse schon sehr aufwendig, aber sie haben sie, genauso lecker und pünktlich auf den Tisch gebracht. Ohne Aufpreis! Ein super Service, für den ich noch einmal recht herzlich Danke.

Wir waren heute dort essen und ich kann sagen, ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so gut griechisch gegessen. Vom Salat bis zum Fleisch war alles super lecker. Sehr gut war auch die Metaxa Soße. Der Service war super und alle waren sehr nett. Für uns war es ein spontaner Besuch der sich sehr gelohnt hat. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen

Nettes Personal, gutes Essen, alles super! Man darf den Hund mit ins Lokal nehmen. So leckere Gyros hatten wir schon lange nicht mehr.

Wir haben mehrmals dort mittags im Außenbereich gegessen. Preiswertes und ordentliches Essen. Freundliche Bedienung. Wir kommen wieder!

Mittagessen war sehr lecker. Wir wurden freundlich bedient und haben draußen gesessen da das Wetter noch dazu eingeladen hat. Preis Leistung stimmt hier auf jeden Fall. Unter 50,-€ komplett für 2 Erwachsene Personen das ist gut. 1 Vorspeise, 2 Hauptspeisen, 3 Getränke. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, gerne wieder.

Die gegrillte Forelle ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir kommen immer sehr gerne ins Ola Kala. Das Essen schmeckt immer lecker, der Service ist top und unser Hund ist auch immer willkommen und wird immer direkt mit Wasser versorgt.

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub dort. Die Mitarbeiter waren trotz vollem Haus sehr freundlich und sehr schnell. Wir haben eine 2 Personenplatte und Getränke bestellt. Die Getränke wurden nach gefühlt 2 min. gebracht und der Beilagensalat hat auch nicht viel länger gedauert. Bei dem Salat fanden wir den sehr sehr fein geschnittenen Krautsalat besonders lecker. Das Hauptgericht kam auch in kürzester Zeit. Wir hatten eine zwei Personenplatte mit gefüllten Bifteki, Gyros, Hähnchensteak und Souflaki. Letzteres war sehr gut zubereitet und absolut zart. Eines der besten die wir bis jetzt gegessen haben. Die Platte war schön angerichtet allerdings ohne Salat oder Gemüsedeko, was mir persönlich gut gefallen hat. Alles in allem ein schöner Abend und für 2 Personen mit 50 Euro auch noch sehr günstig. Sollten wir nochmal in Haltern vorbei kommen, dann wissen wir wo wir Essen gehen.

Durchschnittliches Griechisches Restaurant, leicht über Pommesbudenniveau, aber auch nicht mehr, siehe Foto Grillteller für 2 Personen, Fleisch, Pommes: das war’s. Kein Krautsalat, Irgendwie eine Olive/Peperoni (zumindest auf dem Tzatziki), Salat sehr einfach mit billiger Coktail Sauce. Das „panierte Pfannenschnitzel“ war einfach aus der Fritteuse. Vorspeise „Dreierlei aus dem Meer“ auch auf ähnlichem Niveau, ja, kann man Essen, aber mehr auch nicht. Service war übrigens das Highlight 👌
