Der Gyros Spieß ist optisch und geschmacklich eine 14/10. super Service und klasse Leute. Komme schon das 2 Mal aus Essen hier hin.

Bester Griecheischer Imbiss in Haltern am See! Eigentlich ist der Imbiss schon wie ein Lokal. Es ist alles Mega lecker und total sauber! Der Inhaber und sein Personal sind auch super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Ich komme immer wieder gerne dort hin.

Wir waren schon mehrfach im Grill Achilles in Haltern am See und kommen immer wieder gern zurück. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und durchweg freundlich. Man fühlt sich willkommen und gut betreut. Die Speisen sind frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich überzeugend. Die Portionen sind großzügig und stehen in einem sehr fairen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Auf der Karte findet jeder etwas Passendes, sodass wirklich keine Wünsche offenbleiben. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung und verdiente fünf Sterne.

Taxiteller (nr 25) Test bestanden. Sehr netter Service und super Jungs in der offenen Küche. Bin für Taxiteller extra aus München angereist, tip top auch die Currywurst! Danke

Tolle Bedienung und leckeres Essen!

Im Anschluss an einen Besuch im Wildtierpark-Granat, sind wir auf das Restaurant gestoßen. Uns hat ein gemütliches Ambiente und ein wirklich freundlicher Mitarbeiter erwartet. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen wieder.

Durchschnittliches Essen zu angemessenem Preis. Mit über einer Stunde Wartezeit auf das Essen nach der Bestellung eindeutig zu lang für einen Imbiss. Bis überhaupt mal unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde, dauert es schon eine Ewigkeit. Der Service war irgendwie überfordert. Für weitere Getränkewünsche hätte mal wohl zum Tresen gehen müssen. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Das Achilles in Haltern am See ist für mich das beste Restaurant in der Gegend. Perfekt auch für einen kurzen Stopp, da es nur eine Minute von der Autobahnauffahrt entfernt liegt. Besonders hervorzuheben sind der schnelle Service und das hochwertige, sehr leckere Essen. Die Portionen sind außergewöhnlich groß und das zu wirklich kleinen Preisen. Die Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Sauberkeit ist herausragend und als kleines Extra gibt es jedes Mal einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Absolute Empfehlung, für mich der beste Grieche in der Gegend und überhaupt!

Das Achilles ist eine Mischung aus Imbiss und Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist er nüchtern aber trotzdem ansprechend. Das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen, besonders die Lammkotellets und das Brot. Auch die gegrillten Peperoni, die dicken Bohnen und der gebackene Fetakäse sind sehr lecker. Alles in Allem ei Grieche zum empfehlen.

Wie immer gibt es hier ein tolles Essen und diese Erfahrung wird auch von anderen Besuchern bestätigt.

We were at the restaurant on July 11, 2025, around 7:45 p.m. We were warmly welcomed and allowed to choose one of the four available tables. The food was excellent (I haven't had such good fries in a long time), the service was super friendly, and the prices were a pleasant surprise. The rosé was also really good. It's a good thing we remembered the restaurant yesterday while we were thinking about it.

I ate there for the first time today with my wife and our little daughter. I was really pleasantly surprised. I was expecting more of a snack bar atmosphere. But it's really nice and cozy. The food (a vegetarian pita and a gyro plate) was really delicious. Everything was fresh and well-seasoned. We were served by a very friendly young lady who was really attentive and polite! We will definitely come back!

The food is delicious, the prices and size of the dishes are good. The staff was also friendly. There are seats available. The only criticism is that you have to pay at the front and don't get a receipt.

A random find on the side of the B58, delicious, cozy, nice and cheap!

We were a small group with two children. The dining room was nice and clean, and we received very friendly service. The meat on the plates was good (whether it was gyros, schnitzel, chicken, or chicken nuggets). The tzatziki was very tasty, as was the pita bread. Unfortunately, the salad under the chicken was not. The oil was completely tasteless, with hardly any vinegar – salt and pepper were also missing, but you can adjust that yourself. The coleslaw wasn't mashed enough, and the cucumber salad with cream included pickles (you have to like that). And we all passed up the rice with tomato sauce and corn. If they're going to make it with tomato sauce, then please season it better. It was pretty mush and very sour due to the passata.

I went there for the first time yesterday and ordered the Mythos plate. It's basically a gyro plate topped with two meatballs, known in the trade as "souzouki." The only myth about this dish is that you can't get full. Even this morning, 12 hours later, I'm still in a food coma...with the amount of food on my plate, I'm temporarily 25% Greek, if you know what I mean! The meat was really juicy and delicious, the souzouki was cooked to perfection, and I topped off the fries with a Metaxa sauce. Cabbage and tzatziki are a solid choice. A definite recommendation for both small and large appetites...anyone who says otherwise is lying!

Good Greek food in a pleasant atmosphere. The dishes are freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. The service is friendly, but could be a bit more attentive at times. Overall, a highly recommended place for a relaxing evening.

Super friendly and delicious dishes

The kitchen was cold today, so we went to a Greek restaurant. It was delicious, as always, at Achilles. We've been here several times. The gyros isn't dry like other places. We really like it, and the kids' plates are always empty. Parents know this, and that's important to us. 👍🏻

Nice rooms, delicious food, portion sizes and prices good. You can't expect more from a grill restaurant. Service was also extremely friendly this time. The only point of criticism. You pay at the counter and are told the price. It would be better if the customer received a receipt and could check the whole thing again.

It's more of a snack bar than a restaurant. Everything's okay. You can't go wrong either. Definitely not worth a trip there.

We spontaneously went for dinner here. Interesting concept... snack bar at the front and a nice and comfortably furnished room at the back for eating on site. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere. After the friendly reception of the order, we received our drinks straight away. Top! The food was very rich and tasty. There were 7 of us. And everyone's meat was super juicy and tzatziki with the delicious bread was also great. Compliments to the kitchen!!! We'd love to come back.

Delicious food, a great atmosphere to feel good in and a super nice boss who responds to all your special requests, loves his job and you can taste it every time you visit. Fair prices too. It's great that restaurants like this still exist. A must for every holder and all visitors to the city.

Very tasteful interior, although there is also the take away in the front area. Everything is very clean and the tables are spaced enough apart to ensure privacy. Even though the restaurant was fully booked, the background noise was very bearable. The service is friendly, polite and courteous. The portions are really very generous and we found the offering to be excellent value for money. Everything was very tasteful and balanced. We can highly recommend the restaurant.

Spontaneously had dinner here with 4 people. The atmosphere is inviting. The disadvantage is the open kitchen as you are somewhat exposed to the natural smells. The service was friendly. We had to wait a while for our food even though there were only two other people in the restaurant. What came looked very good. The gyro was fresh and surprisingly good. We had 2 taxi plates, both currywurst were cold and only served with stoker currywurst. You could tell from the taste that the sausage had been waiting for some time to be used. The Jägerschnitzel was ok. We paid €53 for 4 dishes + 3 cokes! The next setback is when paying, no card payment, which is also what it says on the door! A no go for today! Conclusion: good gyros, the rest can be improved!

I've eaten there twice now and I have to say that the gyros are tasty and just a dream, the owner is a very friendly person who knows his trade... you'll be happy to ride your bike 30 kilometers to fortify yourself. I will 100% come back

I cannot recommend food to be picked up. We had different main courses for 4 people and starters for 3 people. The starters were quite okay. But only one person liked the main course.

Huge Greek snack bar with space for about 60 people and very cozy. Food was very good.
