We've been to this restaurant several times and were initially satisfied. Unfortunately, our last two visits were very disappointing. The service has noticeably declined: we had to wait 20-30 minutes for every order, and some dishes were incomplete. It was particularly problematic that several orders were brought out simultaneously shortly before the end of our meal – some even from previous rounds. This made it impossible to keep track of everything and enjoy a relaxed meal. It seemed as if this was a deliberate tactic to avoid rushing. In addition, the portions, or rather the sushi pieces, have become significantly smaller than before. Despite speaking directly to a staff member, no concrete solution was offered. Even after a second visit, there was no improvement. Overall, the experience no longer meets the expectations of a well-run sushi restaurant. We will therefore be looking for a more reliable alternative in the future.

Very good restaurant. We were a group of six – four adults and two small children – here for the first time on January 2nd, 2026, but certainly not the last. Within a two-hour time slot, you can order five small dishes per person in eight rounds, which arrive quite promptly. The selection includes sushi, meat (beef, lamb, mini schnitzels, poultry, etc.), pasta and other similar items, vegetables, fruit, cheesecake, fried bananas, and more. Everything tasted freshly prepared and delicious. Of course, the food arrives in stages and not all at once, so you can't eat completely together, but it's very sociable – like raclette or fondue. After six rounds, everyone was full, and we left after two and a half hours. Unfortunately, it wasn't always clear what exactly was being brought. However, you could usually see it anyway. The annoying thing was that although we pre-ordered (almost 30 minutes before arrival), we were only informed at the restaurant that there was only one high chair/child's chair available. The service could have been a bit smoother, but we were able to sort everything out. It's also worth noting that you order via smartphone (by scanning a barcode). The meal wasn't cheap, but we felt the price-performance ratio was reasonable.

A race against time!!! It tastes like pre-packaged sushi from the supermarket. The sushi rice is so tightly compressed in places that it tastes more like Play-Doh. I actually like the restaurant. The ambiance is lovely, and the service is exceptionally friendly. But the food has to be the focus, and unfortunately, the sushi wasn't good. Especially not at that high price. What also bothered me was the maximum number of orders allowed within a limited time frame. I felt pressured because I constantly had to check the time to see how much time we had left. Especially since it sometimes takes 15 minutes for the order to be served, and you can't place a new order until you've finished eating. It's more of a race against time than a relaxing evening. All in all, the concept and the quality need to be reconsidered.

We've never been here without a reservation. This should really be improved, as it guarantees a table and a specific time slot. The service is very friendly, even though everything is ordered via smartphone after you're assigned a table. Drinks, explanations of the ordering system, and payment are all handled quickly, despite the restaurant always being busy. You have to like the food, as it's all small bites and a wide variety of dishes, and you can eat as much as you want instead of one huge portion. We really enjoyed it here. Only one dish arrived a little late; we were already on dessert by then. Nevertheless, it's a great concept, and we'll gladly come back. The ambiance is nicely designed, but depending on your seat, the noise level can be quite high, as the tables are very close together.

Great experience at this eat-all-you-can restaurant. Our waitress, Hajar, was very welcoming, polite, and clearly explained the ordering system. The food came in small portions but was more than enough in the end everything was fresh and tasteful. Lovely atmosphere and very helpful staff. They even surprised my sister for her birthday with a song and a cocktail with candlelight, which made it extra special. Thanks again to Hajar for the excellent service!

All U Can Eat is absolutely fresh, delicious, and high-quality! You'll definitely leave full, and the price is fair. Ordering via mobile phone was seamless. The service was fine, and the staff tried their best, but the food was simply terrible. The sushi tasted cheap, was dry, not fresh, and resembled supermarket quality more than restaurant-quality. The rice fell apart, the fish had an unpleasant aftertaste, and the presentation was sloppy. Despite the friendly service, I felt like I wasted my money. I wouldn't recommend eating here to anyone.

So, what am I supposed to write now without getting blocked immediately? I was meeting a friend on Sunday who, unfortunately, uses a wheelchair due to his disability. We spontaneously decided to go out for dinner, and since we were nearby, we walked to Okinii at the Media Harbour. We couldn't even get into the restaurant with the wheelchair because you have to open two doors to get in, and the entrance is so incredibly small that it simply wasn't possible. I tried anyway and opened the first door, pushed the wheelchair through, and that was it. The wheelchair blocked the second door. It just wouldn't work. Then a waiter came to our door and seemed to want to help. That's what I thought at first, but then he asked us if we had a reservation for disabled people. I said no and explained that we were there on the spur of the moment and would like a table for two. "No, unfortunately that's not possible. Because of the wheelchair, you have to make a reservation in advance." Aha, okay!?!?!?! I went straight back out the door. I had such a bad feeling about being discriminated against. I'll never forget it. Absolutely despicable!!!!! We are simply appalled and saddened and speechless…

Unfortunately, only 1 star. The food and service are good. We used to go there regularly, but never again. At the beginning of October, we ate there and paid by card. Unfortunately, the wrong amount (€24.98 too much) wasn't debited until 10 days later. Despite repeated inquiries, the accounting department insists it's incorrect, and we submitted the relevant bank statements, etc., several times. Unfortunately, never again. Sorry, that's no way to treat customers.

The ambiance was pleasant and relaxed, we received a friendly welcome, and the service was good, but unfortunately, the food was a complete disappointment. The dishes were presented without any care, the sushi was tasteless, and the sashimi was far below the quality I'm used to. Furthermore, out of about 20 small orders, only 2-3 portions arrived at a time, spaced several minutes apart, which was incredibly stressful and made it impossible to eat together. About ten minutes after finishing the meal, I developed severe stomach cramps, which unfortunately worsened the entire experience.

A friend and I visited Okinii. Always delicious! I found the food deliveries yesterday a bit rough. The staff came past the tables with full trays and placed the bowls on the nearest accessible corner of the table without a word. Some of the bowls were even pushed/squeezed in. Some of the gray plastic bowls showed signs of wear and tear… not very attractive. Ceramic bowls are much nicer! For dessert, we opted for the black sesame ice cream (extra charge!). Unfortunately, it lacked the expected flavor. It was milk-based ice cream, and the sesame taste was barely perceptible. It used to be much better quality.

Plates are scattered all over the restaurant in complete chaos, as if nobody knows where anything goes. The absolute kicker: Our entire large group got food poisoning on November 27, 2025. Honestly: This is a case for the health department.

Went here for the first time yesterday. The sushi is very off quality, the rice is so wet like the convenience store sushi’s. Too much rice also. The grill choices were actually more acceptable and good cooked. The cocktails were pretty good. I think for the price you pay it’s okay I guess, but do not expect too much from it. It’s not so good compared being properly made by Japanese cooks in my opinion.

The service is mostly very motivated and friendly. You have to order food via an app, and it then arrives at your table at random. Basically, I'd say it's all meant for sharing. The quality of the raw fish is good, and the various sushi options are also good. However, the rest is just deep-fried and convenience food. Unfortunately, it doesn't suit my taste.

Sorry to be so straight about this but I can’t accept that! It was worse sushi i ever tried! I was there 5 years ago and we were so disappointed! Low quality food and sushis not fresh! I worked in the sushi restaurant and i make sushi at home, so i know how it should be! This year last Tuesday we gave it another try and it was just even worse! The service was terrible, had to wait there to get a place even though we reserved a table before! super unfriendly staff, late delivery and the quality was awful! No welcoming or hospitality! It was super super crowded and loud! We could barely even hear each other! I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy the food! I hope you guys reconsider your service to people! First of all, I have to say that this restaurant is truly top-notch in terms of ambiance and hospitality. Whether it's the chef or the waiter, you're warmly greeted by everyone as soon as you walk in. We were shown to our table. Since we were still waiting for two people, the waiter offered us drinks. You have to scan a barcode at the table so that time doesn't run out. You have two hours to order. We reserved a table at 7:30 p.m. so you can eat and drink in peace and quiet. There are eight rounds of 20 orders each. Sometimes we didn't even know who had ordered what or if it was even our order. Which wasn't a bad thing; everything tasted delicious. The only downside was that I ordered mussels in the last round. The mussels arrived after our dessert. After a delicious piece of cake, you don't really have an appetite for mussels anymore. We sat there almost until midnight, and we didn't feel like the waiters were trying to kick us out. We'd love to come back 🤝

There were three of us eating there on a Monday at 6 p.m. You are allowed to order five plates per person every 15 minutes and there is a two-hour time limit. The problem was that we waited 40 minutes for our first order and only received our food piece by piece. After an hour we asked what was going on and it was taking so long because we hadn't received over 50% of the items from each round. Then we discussed the new sushi chef and the kitchen being restaffed, but as a customer I'm not interested. Of course, 15 minutes later we only had the sushi we had ordered an hour ago, but hardly any of the rest was a disaster. After about an hour and a half we had had enough and asked the staff a third time if we could cancel all our orders. We would have liked to leave. We paid €122 and no one was full. Everything we ordered was cold. The breaded shrimp only tasted of oil and some of them weren't cooked through. So 0/10 recommendation 7.5€ for 0.75l water is also disrespectful since you can get much better food in 99% of the restaurants in Düsseldorf and mostly cheaper, especially there wasn't even a discount or anything like that with such bad service unbelievable just no words 0% recommendation

I haven't been to Okinii in a long time and used to be a big Okinii fan. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. The sushi still tastes just as good as it used to. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great – it wasn't the fault of the waitresses; they seemed to be trying very hard, but they were completely overwhelmed. One or two more people wouldn't have been a bad thing on a Friday evening. Orders sometimes arrived much too late – sometimes dishes from rounds 2 and 4 were served, etc., and sometimes nothing arrived at all.

The concept was nice, but it seems small at first, but then you get full. 🤣 The service was good, but some dishes are a bit of a shock when they arrive, and you might even forget what you ordered. The atmosphere was great, but it was incredibly hot inside, and we felt stifled. But everything was still great.

A wide selection (even for people who don't eat sushi, fish, etc.). Orders are placed via your phone and arrive fairly quickly. The all-you-can-eat menu leaves you feeling very full. Dirty dishes are also quickly cleared away by the wait staff.

The last time I was at Okinii at the Media Harbor in Düsseldorf was in 2019. Back then, I was very impressed by both the ambiance and the food. I returned in September 2025 and was relatively disappointed, as the quality of the food had unfortunately declined considerably. The food wasn't bad or inedible, but it wasn't good, high-quality sushi either (both the quality of the fish and the preparation of the individual sushi pieces, e.g., stale rice, carelessly arranged sashimi or skewers, etc.). Additionally, we were initially seated at a table where there were lots of small ants crawling around – very unappetizing and unhygienic! Luckily, we were moved, but this, along with the taste experience of the food, unfortunately left a very bland aftertaste. A real shame – the value for money unfortunately makes me want to go somewhere else for sushi next time.

Always worth a visit. The food is delicious and the decor looks great. The proximity to the harbor makes it possible to do even more. Unfortunately, individual rounds arrive with a delay, which can make things quite confusing for larger groups.

I ordered through Wolt. The restaurant is 140 meters away. Due to health reasons, I had to have the food delivered. The driver wasn't very friendly, and the food was cold. For a restaurant that's only 140 meters away, I expect hot food. If I weren't sick, I would have returned the food.

Delivery time was inadequate (50 minutes over the maximum time). Communication was a complete failure: no response from the online shop or chat. Even after numerous attempts, no one answered the phone at the store. I strongly advise against ordering from them. Service rating: 6! Taste: mediocre.
