I have been going to Okinii regularly for ten years and can still recommend it. Okinii was one of the first in Germany when it comes to all-you-can-eat sushi. Food is fresh and top quality! Atmosphere always nice I would particularly like to highlight the Vietnamese lady who acts as the restaurant/service manager in the restaurant. Very nice and courteous service, so that you feel in good hands even as a young family with a baby. Keep it up and big praise for this!

Very unfriendly. They kick you out. You can't have a conversation with a friend. Once your order time is done they will aggressively tell you to leave.

We visit this Onkinii regularly and are generally enthusiastic about the concept. Unfortunately, the experience has diminished in the last two years. The waiting times for certain dishes - especially gyoza and fried meat - lasted over an hour during our visit on Sunday evening and required repeated requests. In addition, the portion size varies throughout the evening; sometimes two portions are packed on one plate, sometimes served separately. The service staff was very attentive and found the situation unpleasant - we felt valued as guests and it defused the displeasure. It's a shame - because the food is very tasty and there are also great homemade lemonades and cocktails. But if I spend around €60 per person, I don't want to ask repeatedly where the food is. Especially with a concept where there is a time limit and you only want to order what you eat.

Exactly what has been mentioned here many times: Nice staff, okay food but poor organization in the service. Big chaos. We won't be coming back, it's not a relaxing way to eat and it's too expensive.

Wrong choice to eat here in a street where there are so many nice authentic Japanese restaurants!🙈 This is not authentic, not well prepared, and “ all you can eat” is not a good way to enjoy your food.

We waited a very long time for our orders, half an hour - almost three quarters of an hour for our first drinks. Orders were missing and that was probably the case at the other tables too, as I noticed. Maybe a few fewer tables would be a solution, because you could really see and notice the stress and the unpleasant atmosphere. My son was laughed at by the waitress when he asked for ketchup, even though ketchup is ubiquitous in Japanese cuisine. And the Okinii calls itself a Japanese restaurant. Maybe it's better at lunchtime, but in the evening when the house is full, the place is really not recommended... unless you're not very hungry and like to wait. We definitely didn't get full and in the end we had neither the time nor the nerves.

The staff will not help you from the first time, you have to go to them like 3 times to get heard! Every thing I asked for I didn’t got, I ordered 3 cola with ice and lemon and only got one! And also you can’t see the menu before you get a code for your table and that code means that you opened the table and you have to pay for it even though you didn’t eat!

We already had the food while the drinks weren't there yet. Also not surprising as we only saw one person serving drinks. The food was also not what we were used to. Thick pieces of fish while sashimi, for example, had to be sliced ​​thin, it was now a large piece of fish. The grilled fish and sushi rice was dry. There was also poor clearing, resulting in empty plates being left for a long time. At a certain point, guests had paid but the tables were still full of bowls, plates and glasses, so the desire to eat quickly disappeared. The staff were friendly and polite. They could also do nothing about the fact that there was simply too little service. I would advise eating elsewhere. The entire street is full of authentic Japanese restaurants, but you must reserve in advance. Because we had not done this, we ended up in this restaurant. In retrospect, it's a shame that we ended up here.

I've rarely eaten so badly. This has hardly anything to do with Japanese cuisine. The fish was quite ok and there is also a good selection at the bar. The waiting times are long and you can't check what you've already ordered.

Went into the restaurant and immediately noticed a very intrusive toilet smell. Sat down and realized that most of the staff is not Japanese. Food and food are also not typically Japanese. Downstairs before you went into one of the toilets the floor smelled of urine (as did the whole restaurant up to the table where you eat). Then in the men's toilet two urinals were blocked and an employee sprayed the entire can with scented spray. We all got up and were glad we didn't eat there.

Have been here several times in the past and have been very satisfied so far. Unfortunately, today the expectations have not been confirmed. The food was tasty, the rice a bit mushy. No sushi rice as you are used to in the Netherlands. Lost a lot of money (always with sushi). Wine is expensive by Dutch standards (9€ for half a bell). Ordering is done via scanning a QR code on your phone, so you can order X dishes per person at a time. There is a waste policy.

For a Monday, the restaurant was already full at 6:30 p.m. and we were lucky to get a seat without a reservation. We were greeted particularly friendly and helpful by our “waiter” Raul and introduced to the all-you-can-eat system. Even in between times he was always there for us. We personally give him 5 stars. The service was deducted 1 star for the sometimes late deliveries of individual orders, for example the broccoli was only delivered with the dessert. The food itself is very good for a restaurant of this type. More quality is always possible, but the price-performance ratio is right here. When it comes to the ambience, we would have liked a little more distance between the tables and decorations on the tables. All in all, a very successful evening with full bellies.

Very long waiting times, some of the food was undercooked or very watery. The “spicy” dishes tasted almost sweet. We were able to order 4 rounds in 2 hours and were just about full. Says online it closes at 14:30, wouldn’t let us seat at 1:40 as was ‘closed’. But didn’t tell us that until waiting for 10 minutes as no one there. Don’t think they like people who aren’t German it seems as the rude woman at the front desk made us feel exceptionally unwelcome. Probably for the best as was hugely dated looking - so we took our €200 over the road and had a much better time

Four of us were at the Okinii on a Saturday evening. You pay a flat rate and can order an order of 5 small dishes every 15 minutes. This runs on your own cell phone, very practical. This restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat sushi and Asian tapas concept. For two hours, you can order up to five dishes per round across eight rounds, allowing you to sample a wide variety of dishes. Having been to several similar restaurants, I found the sushi here to be not as good as at other places, and the warm dishes were sometimes a bit bland. Despite these shortcomings, the food was still decent, and we had an enjoyable evening. However, with a price tag of 35 euros (excluding drinks), it feels like an expensive option.

Unfortunately a complete tourist trap. Probably the worst quality restaurant on Immermannstrasse, but really expensive. There is a strange pressure when ordering via cell phone, not very relaxed...things that were ordered are not brought and then again 6 makis came even though there are only 3 on the menu, which can be disastrous when you consider that for Every single sushi that is not eaten is charged 1 euro. Individual things like the wakame salad are good, but the sushi is really bad, especially compared to the restaurants across the street. Apart from that, the toilets were not maintained and it smelled pretty bad. The waitress was very nice!

Today's disappointment. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who explained how thing's worked and things were promising. We had the drinks and did the first order. Simple things like wagame came quickly and then part of the order. Some of the order never came until we complained and then it was still mixed up. We did order some deserts but left before it came, no one was in the mood any longer to sit there. For this price I would expect better service. Waiter blamed it on busy Monday. So if you go, don't go on an Monday.

Our visit was very disappointing! When we entered the restaurant we were met with an acrid “toilet smell”. Although almost every seat would have been free at 12:00 p.m., we got a walk-through seat right next to the kitchen. Cellars or other visitors constantly had to pass this. The distance of 2 meters from the kitchen was probably too far to serve our food warm at the table. The fried salmon was even offered half raw. In addition, not all selected dishes were brought or were not available. Finally, the waitress complained about the amount of the tip. Impudence! We will avoid the “Okinii” restaurant in the city in the future.

If you're addicted to adrenaline and looking for a completely new eating experience - this is the right place for you! Because here you have the opportunity to experience food in a different way than relaxed, enjoyable and chilled out. I'll start with positive: - it's clean - Service staff is friendly And continue with the negative: - you have 2 (!) hours to eat - all-you-can-eat: order 5 items per 15 minutes. You spend all your time with time, as stupid as it sounds. Not relaxation, more of a race. Since 2 hours isn't enough, you start thinking about what you're going to order next while you're eating. And on the cell phone... - I would have to wait 45-60 minutes for my orders. With the time restrictions that this restaurant has, something like that shouldn't happen. I wouldn't recommend Okinii.

Best sushi I've ever eaten at all-you-can-eat

The quality of the food as a whole has decreased dramatically. On the penultimate visit in October 2023, the food was okay, but sometimes not edible. Here we blamed it on the rush, as the restaurant was extremely full at the time. During our last visit on June 27th, 2024 we were in the restaurant for the last time and no one will be following us again. Some of the chicken skewers were still raw and there was a lot of cartilage. The sushi was soggy and inedible and some of the fish had a strange taste. The "clean" dishes were sometimes sticky and the tables weren't particularly clean either. When the food was served, the vouchers kept falling into the food and we had already lost our appetite. The price/performance ratio has not been justified here for a long time and the quality has deteriorated extremely over the years. We actually enjoyed eating there. For the €150 we paid, next time we'd rather go a few meters further to Kushi-Tei.

We informed several employees about the rodent infestation in the dining room. There was sufficient time between the notification and the day of the inspection by the city of Düsseldorf to correct this and other deficiencies. Best teriyaki chicken I have ever had in my life!!! We paid ~€17 per person for the lunchtime menu and additionally for drinks. (1L of water is €7.20, and if you don't specify, they will bring sparkling. That was my mistake, this is the norm in Germany!) Each person gets to order 8 things per round, and for this price you get 12 rounds. The food you choose comes in small plate portions but remember, the more you order, the more you must eat! Any food you do not finish costs extra. Love the noodles, sushi, fried rice and again, the teriyaki chicken is the best I've ever had, I think about it at least once a day almost a week later. Brilliant food, really hope to return soon and pace myself better to enjoy more teriyaki chicken 🤣🤩

It was my first time at Okinii for lunch and me and my sister really enjoyed it. The products were made as they appear on the menu. The fish and seafood were fresh and delicious. The tables were clean. The welcome and service was always friendly and helpful, so you know Japanese hospitality. The order can be placed relatively quickly, even when there is heavy traffic in the kitchen. You order by scanning a QR code at the respective table, then you are redirected to a website where you can select the dishes. Don't worry if you no longer have any data volume, you can connect to the guest WIFI. The sanitary facilities were all clean and had soap. As a suggestion for improvement, I advise Okinii to put less ice in the cocktails and more juice instead. 4.90 for half ice is steep. We would be happy to come back🤗 It was the first time me and my sister ate lunch at Okinii and we liked it. The products were served as advertised on the menu card. The fish and sea food were fresh and tasty. Tables were clean. The salutation and service was throughout friendly and helpful, just as the Japanese hospitality is known. Our orders came quickly despite the high traffic in the kitchen. Ordering is done by firstly scanning the QR Code on the table, which redirects you to a website where you can choose the foods. But the sushi I ordered was always forgotten and not brought to the table. I had to complain again and again and laboriously go through the long list of my orders with the waitress and point out what was still missing. Instead of a relaxing evening with Japanese delicacies, it was two hours of stress. I kept having to ask myself whether the orders would still come or whether I should complain. I didn't even get the last round I ordered. I have the feeling that my sushi was prepared in a timely manner, but simply not brought to me, because after my complaints, the sushi I ordered was brought quickly and the fish was no longer cool - so they were left lying around somewhere. Regarding the quality of the food: hot dishes were sometimes great (e.g. Kohitsuji), sometimes so-so (totally overcooked edamame). Sushi was uninteresting - little fish, lots of rice, on the level of a Chinese buffet. This was my 3rd visit to this restaurant. I wasn't really satisfied with any of the visits. Never again!

I also find it quite surprising that tips are not shown on the hospitality receipt... where can you find something like that? Suggestion Please give the customer the piece of paper with the product that was literally thrown on the table so that they can understand what I'm getting. And compares this with the system so that the customer can see what has already been delivered. Would also help enormously in larger groups to distinguish who owns what and, if necessary, to make it easier to reorder if it was tasty. Or is the opacity and confusion intentional to some extent? Under the circumstances, we definitely won't be coming back again.

I was there with a few friends at the time of Dokomi and spontaneously got a table thanks to the extremely nice and courteous hostess. We ordered the all-you-can-eat similar menu. The food was excellent and we all enjoyed it. There were brief delays, but that was completely understandable considering the workload :) We ordered several drinks. I ordered the Solero based on the recommendations of the super friendly girls next to me and thought it was brilliant. The ambience itself was also very good and the service even more so. (PS: to the girls next to us with the Luffy and Ace costumes and the other two, I thought the cosplays were great 🔛🔝)

It was 5 stars for the previous times. But on _ 25.02.2023, foods and services were not good. _ 02.07.2024, ...were better...

This Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurant is particularly affordable for weekday lunches. Instead of a buffet, you simply choose what you want using your cell phone and the food is freshly prepared. The variety of food is impressive and ranges from sushi to edamame to various hot dishes. The option to order directly at the table using your smartphone is particularly practical, making the service efficient and convenient. The value for money is excellent, especially for the weekday lunch specials. You really get a lot for your money here. The ambience is modern, pleasant and inviting. Overall, in my opinion, this Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurant is the best of its kind in Düsseldorf. Ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy a wide selection of Japanese dishes at a fair price.

Why is this restaurant so overrated? The staff were absolutely rude and unfriendly to me!! Each sushi roll I ordered included only 2 sushis and they were not fresh at all and not even various in the buffet for which I paid almost 23€!!! For 23€ I expected a variety of high quality sushis but I only received stiff, low-quality and very small portion sushi instead!!! Each round I ordered something they missed one of the items and I had to call the waiter again and ask for it!!! And the price is very high for this very low and unprofessional quality. Will NEVER go there again and would never recommend anybody to go there.

Caution! If you want to wait a total of over two hours for your orders, of which over 2/3 are missing, this is the right place for you. The service staff is very nice and well aware of the problems. They try to keep track, but it still seems extremely chaotic in the kitchen. After 2.5 hours on site we left, although many things were still missing from our order. Absolutely underground system that is almost criminal in my opinion. I recommend visiting one of the other numerous restaurants in Düsseldorf.

I am very disappointed!!! Rice used to make sushi It is like spoiled rice, very mushy and mushy. There were a lot of dishes that you couldn't eat. I don't recommend it for €34 per person without a drink. I think it's too expensive if the quality isn't right.

There are a lot of people, there are few waiters, and they are not friendly. I sat down at the table, and they brought you a tablet with a power bank, and told you to wait, but what exactly to wait for? Sea weather? We will never come again, and we will not recommend this place.

Unfriendly service, my drink was taken away without my consent even though there was still about 1/3 of it inside. When I asked my questions, I only got a no. I doubt that my drink ran away.

I wanted to celebrate my GB there with a small group, I had reserved a table. We arrived about 4 minutes late and our table was given to someone else. When I asked to take another look, the waitress behaved in a very condescending and unfriendly manner and was also used to using first language. We then looked online and were able to make a spontaneous reservation. Went back in, the waiter just yelled at us and then directed us to a table. When we arrived, we waited 20 minutes for the waitress to order drinks, and then another eternity for the iPads. It was 60 minutes before we could order food, both my guests and I were annoyed and the waitress ignored us. (Even after asking several times, we were assured that someone would come immediately, but no one ever came.) We waited really patiently and friendly, but that really didn't work at all. Me and my friends are big fans of Asian cuisine, but the food disappointed us. The rice was very dry, the vegetables were already partly brown and I won't even start with the fish/meat. Drinks were good, although the wait was very long. For all the fun I was able to pay almost €400 including a tip. I'm more than disappointed and can't really recommend this restaurant to anyone. A pity.

The food is just awesome. Best Japanese restaurant!
