Okiko in Trier is definitely worth a visit for lovers of Asian cuisine! Food: The quality of the food is truly outstanding. Everything tastes fresh, is attractively prepared, and tastes top-notch. Whether it's sushi, hot dishes, or other specialties, the food is impressive across the board. Service and atmosphere: The service is always very friendly and attentive. Even when we were there with a larger group, everything always ran smoothly and the staff had everything under control – it's truly professional. You feel very welcome as a guest. Value for money (the only minor criticism): While the prices are appropriate for the high quality, it would be desirable if they were a little lower. This would make the visit even more attractive and make it easier to decide to eat there more often.

I love Okikos. The Sushi is fresh and i love the vegan and vegetarian options. They have soup, salad, tofu and much more. Sometimes there‘s a robot who brings the food. Thats funny .

We were here for the first time – just to have a quiet meal before going to the movies. Unfortunately, we weren't entirely impressed by the experience. The restaurant doesn't seem particularly clean overall: surfaces, window sills, and window frames are dirty, and the floor was sticky, presumably because the robot cleaner wobbles on the uneven natural stone floor, spilling drinks. This doesn't really leave a well-maintained impression. We also had trouble getting our bearings, as there were little to no explanations – you feel a bit left out. The quality of the food was generally decent; we ate à la carte, but we lacked traditional dishes in regular portion sizes. The small bowls and plates felt more like snacks than main courses. Overall, it was okay, but we didn't really feel comfortable and would probably choose a different restaurant next time.

The food was okay. There were some highs and lows with the various dishes. I wouldn't recommend the duck to anyone. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Being served by an AI was something new. The fact that this AI even sang a birthday song for my wife was a great touch.

This was a godsend as I was craving Asian food whilst holidaying Europe. At a cost of 31.90 euros (drinks not included, I was able to eat a wide range of hot and cold dishes, meat, seafood n vegetables. No pics as i forgot my mobile phone. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!

The food there was really delicious. When it comes to service, I don't know where to start. The staff was very unfriendly, and it was clear that everyone wanted to take a break, even though the place had been open for almost an hour. They advertise an all-you-can-eat menu via email with a €10 voucher, but you can only redeem one voucher for three people on site. So next time, just sit at three tables next to each other 🤦. Rip-off!!!

We were passing through town and decided to go to the restaurant with a group. The food was good, with very large sushi pieces. The ice cream desserts were delicious. They didn't serve house water because the manager didn't authorize it, which forces you to buy it at the restaurant itself.

We arrived after 14:00 and were still able to get a good table outside with a view of the city street, and still plenty of time for a good meal! The service was extremely friendly and the food was brought to the table quickly. A really good variety for the lunch buffet, especially with such an affordable price. We will definitely come back when visiting Trier!

I've been here several times. Unfortunately, I have to say that there are more and more complaints each time. The food itself has always been delicious. Sometimes something doesn't arrive, and sometimes something we didn't order or didn't match the pictures in the tab. Unfortunately, a "catbot" now also delivers the food. I wouldn't do that, especially with hot dishes. Also, if there are several people, their orders are brought together. Understandable, but that doesn't exactly help the hot dishes stay hot. So go in pairs...or send smaller orders. Conclusion: The price is rising...the quality has remained the same...the service (if you can call it that) is getting worse.

After a day in Trier ended up here and that turned out to be a good choice. Good food, friendly and respectful service and a general good atmosphere. Definitely want to come back here!

Relaxing place with accommodation outside during warmer days. Staff is friendly and passionate. Food that won’t disappoint and a vibe to relax and dine for all ages. I’d def recommend! Okiko restaurant is a very nice restaurant. First of all, the staff and the owner are really kind and welcomed me warmly even when I visited for the first time. The cozy atmosphere allows you to relax and enjoy your meal. The food is also very delicious and you can tell it is carefully prepared. The menu has a wide range of options, and it is a nice point that it is something that people of all ages can enjoy. You can easily visit with your family, friends, or even alone. It is a place that I would like to wholeheartedly recommend as a homely restaurant that anyone can enjoy regardless of age. I would definitely like to visit again.

I went for lunch today with my boyfriend and we had a very bad experience. A bottle of water costs €5.80, there was very little choice on the menu and we didn't like the dishes. The meat was full of oil and fat, the sushi rice was rubbery, seemed overcooked and the food had no defined flavor. Also, there was quite a wait to receive what we ordered.

I've been loving eating at Okiko every few months for what feels like 10 years, but today I was so disappointed... Getting microwaved food for around €32 is totally outrageous... The "fried" noodles and rice tasted absolutely disgusting, like Maggi and old grease... The shrimp skewers tasted so disgusting I had to spit them out... And I don't even want to describe how the spring rolls smelled... It's so sad that you pay more and get less quality. The sushi was also completely different than usual... such a shame.

Qualitativ war das Essen gut. Die Bilder der Speisekarte täuschen leider, optisch kommt das Sushi lieblos daher. Leider stimmten die Preise nicht. Wir hatten zwei Speisekarten mit unterschiedlichen Preisen, die Bedienung hatte uns auf eine Preisänderung bei einer Sushiplatte (Mehrpreis 2 Euro) hingewiesen. Dass sich jedoch die anderen Preise auch geändert hatten, wurde verschwiegen. Mit der Rechnung hatte ich darauf hingewiesen, da bekam ich nur die Antwort es sind ja nur 30 Cent (allerdings pro Getränk)! Es passt halt einfach vom Service nicht. Der Laden kann sicherlich so nicht mehr lange existieren.

Dinner all-in was good but nothing special. Okiko in Düsseldorf had offered more for the same price, for example, and the meat wasn't overcooked either. There were several varieties of sushi, etc... However, service was very friendly to us and accommodated birthday requests.

Our underage daughter had dinner with you last night. Although she wanted to eat a la carte, she was forced to order an all you can eat. Simply outrageous.

This place advertises an "all-you-can-eat" menu, but it comes with a nasty surprise. At the end of our meal, they tried to charge us 1 euro per uneaten sushi piece, something that was never clearly communicated and is completely illegal under consumer protection laws. We argued and the waiter was saying I cannot do anything I just work here. We asked to talk to the manager because this is illegal. A few minutes later the waiter came back saying he could make an exception for us. Big scam. I will never go there again.

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes for a free table. The food and drink was great, always warm and everything tasted good. Service was very, very polite and attentive. The fact that several drinks were later listed on the bill that we didn't drink and that we were charged for four meals instead of two was no problem and was corrected without any problem. We waited 1 hour for our ordered drinks and then after 1 1/2 hours we got half of our 2nd round, although the 1st round never arrived. The quality of the sushi is okay. After asking several times, we were told that there was nothing they could do about the situation and we had to pay the full price, despite the eternal waiting time and the food we ordered never/partially arrived. Ultimately, after the 4th round, only the fried food and not the sushi arrived, we left hungry because the shop then closed. We weren't the only ones who did it that day, there were also other customers from whom we heard it. I understand when you wait a long time for your food and it's just stressful and the kitchen can't keep up. However, it is absolutely not acceptable not to blame yourself, not to apologize and to use the excuse “there is nothing you can do”. Unfortunately, we, who have been customers for years, will no longer be coming back…

Uncomfortable lighting, bad, overpriced food and unpleasant service round off an overall unpleasant experience

The first impression of the restaurant was good, and some of the food was too, but the quality of the meat was subpar and the beef was not edible. None of the dishes looked remotely as advertised. Carelessly done and the conditions didn't say a word to us. As a guest you felt like a nuisance. The toilets smelled extremely unpleasant, and you would have liked to turn back as soon as you went down the stairs. The small service robot gets the point when it comes to service. He was the only one who always smiled kindly at us.

Sushi restaurant where you can order sushi or other meat or vegetarian dishes with a tablet. I don't really understand the other reviews that many dishes did not arrive, but in our case all dishes were served (fairly quickly). They also used heavy dough for the fried snacks, which made everything taste like oliebollen. If you are really looking for quality food, this is not the place for you. Wij bestelde gefrituurde garnaal en toen sneden we hem open en zagen alle poep zitten. We gaven dit aan bij de bediening en die gaf aan dat ze geen tijd hadden gehad om het schoon te maken🤮 Mijn dochter bestelde een grote liptonice sparkle en kreeg zonder prik. Hij werd met een hoop boos gedrag meegenomen en daarna kregen we hetzelfde glas terug met wat spa rood er bijgegoten😱 Gefrituurde sushi werd koud bezorgd. Alles wat we probeerde was 1 grote teleurstelling, bespaar jezelf een hoop geld en blijf hier weg!

I absolutely cannot confirm the negative reviews. We've been there twice this year and there were no complaints both times. The food was great, the service was very friendly and quick and the atmosphere was nice. Price-performance ratio is right in terms of the selection and quality of the food. We'll be back.

Nach einer lieblosen Begrüßung wurde uns ein Tisch zugewiesen und ein Tablet in die Hand gedrückt. Die Bedienung des Tablets war relativ selbsterklärend. Das Essen kam schnell und leere Teller wurden (ohne eine Erwiderung auf unsere Dankeschön) auch zügig wieder abgeräumt. Die Karte bietet eigentlich genug Auswahl. Das war es dann auch an „Positivem“. Der Sashimisalat sah mehr nach „Fischresten“ aus, die nicht mehr in Rollen gepasst haben. Die frittierten Maki Sushi waren kalt. Die Tempura Teiggarnelen und die Frühlingsrollen waren maximal lauwarm und bestanden mehr aus vollgesogener Panade als aus geschmackvoller Füllung. Die gebratenen Nudeln wurden offensichtlich in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt und schmeckten nach Vortag. Der Pakchoi war das einzigste frisch in der Pfanne zubereitete. Leider war diese Pfanne wohl nicht wirklich sauber sondern mit altem ranzigen Fett befüllt. So schmeckte dann auch der Pakchoi. Schade! Dafür war die Ente wieder nur lauwarm und richtig schön trocken. Pro bestelltem Teller bekommt man immer 2-3 Maki oder 1-2 Nigiri die offensichtlich nicht frisch zubereitet sind sondern aus dem Kühlschrank kommen. Das Reis Fisch Verhältnis ist natürlich bescheiden. Der Reis ist komplett geschmacklos (Vllt auch kältebedingt) und der Fisch, egal ob Lachs, Thunfisch oder Garnele machte nicht den frischesten Eindruck und konnte dementsprechend auch kaum geschmacklich punkten. Nur ihr „scharfes Tartar“ konnte bei mir punkten, das aber auch nur, weil ich Siracha liebe. Alles in allem können wir dieses Restaurant absolut nicht weiter empfehlen. Meine Partnerin war wohl vor knapp 7 Jahren mal hier und wir wollten dem Laden nochmal eine Chance geben. Für ca 70 €, die wir hier bezahlt haben, bekommt man bei der Konkurrenz (Petrisberg, Ms Liam oder Kazumi) das deutlich bessere Essen. Für mich unverständlich wie dieser Laden überhaupt noch existieren kann oder warum man hier Essen gehen sollte. Hoffentlich war es nur ein sehr sehr schlechter Tag. War ja auch Freitag der 13. Ein frohes Magengrummeln allen Besuchern.

The Okiko with the system that allows you to order smaller dishes in several courses using a tablet. I like that, but you tend to eat a little more😂 which of course has something to do with the fact that everything is really tasty. The service is OK but could be improved. What's cool is the service robot😊 it should drive a lot more. The ambience isn't great... plus it was extremely warm inside that day. An attempt was made to change this with fans, but without success.

Every dish we ordered from the tray could NOT be rated in terms of taste. Either it drowned in fat and that too without any trace of spices, or it tasted strange. The food is weak. Complete lack of any seasoning what so ever. Lots of the dishes on the menu are actually something else. Like takoyaki (fried octopus balls) were actually fried fishcakes. Thr gyoza was fully fried, while you steam and fry them on 1 side in a pan. Everything is just wrong or minimal effort. They can fry really well though, but somehow mess up everything else? Why?!

Nice place for all you can eat buffet. The way you order on the tablet and have some time in between your meals is great, and also you do not need to stand up every time you want to eat more, they deliver to your table! Food was good!

I cannot understand the negative reviews of the restaurant. It was my first time there and I was concerned about my gluten intolerance. It worked great because all dishes are labeled with the numbers of the allergens. The food was very tasty, the fried salmon was slightly cross on the outside and tender on the inside, perfect! Of course the sushi etc. also taste very good! The things we ordered came quickly, even though the restaurant was busy on Sunday lunchtime. The waitresses were polite and attentive, used plates were cleared away promptly. Unfortunately, the cute robot cat didn't serve us, but we were able to admire it at the neighboring table. 😁 From me, or from us, there is a very clear recommendation for the beautiful restaurant! 👍

And I really understand a lot of things and actually don't like to complain. But everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong here. Sushi and other hot dishes were quite okay. But the service isn't great, after I asked several times about wasabi they didn't respond. Also the spring rolls were not fresh and cold.

Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated significantly (!) in the last few months. The selection has been reduced, which is still okay given the price. But the quality of the food has actually deteriorated in the meantime. During our meal, various things (fish, chicken, duck) were not fried enough. Plus dry noodles that were very firm to the bite. After many years there, we probably won't eat at this restaurant again for a long time.

Service friendly. Unfortunately the quality is no longer what it used to be. Sushi was ok, the rest was unfortunately mostly far too greasy and the selection at AYCE was also significantly reduced (lunch €19.90 per person). The ice cream at the end was the last thing... all flavors tasted the same... what a shame.

Hello, five of us ate here and were very disappointed: We ordered "all-you-can-eat" via iPads ("all-you-can-eat" in quotes because you can only order a limited number of rounds, so not actually "all-you-can-eat" ). About the food: A lot of things weren't seasoned enough, even the lightest dishes were bland and had no taste. But the worst thing was probably that when you order sushi you almost only get rice and in comparison only a small piece of fish. One thing to keep in mind is that the portions are small, especially compared to the only five portions per round you can order, with a maximum of 10 rounds. Service: Yes, there are robots that bring food to the table, but a single one of them has to serve up to 25 tables, so the food is often brought by a waiter. However, the staff themselves were very friendly. You also pay 17 euros at lunchtime and 32 euros in the evening. For almost double the price, you hardly get anything special to compensate for in the “Dinner Only” section.

I love sushi and when I was in Trier, my son invited me to "All you can eat" because he himself loved the restaurant. And I have to say I have been one ever since. Excellent sushi cuisine, for great culinary delights, nice atmosphere and friendly service. There is even a robot to operate it. I will definitely go here more often.

We were there for lunch on Sunday with friends and children. We had pre-booked the table for 4 people. The reception was friendly. Selection of dishes etc. is done via tablet, serving either by staff or a robot. Unfortunately, sometimes you don't know who has what or what exactly it is. We missed a changing room or something similar for the little ones.

I was a guest again. The food has always been very good. I have nothing to complain about there. However, the service wasn't so good this time. We were served quickly. But the young lady didn't show much motivation and the food was pushed onto the table rather listlessly, to put it mildly. Attention should also be paid to the clothing of the staff. For me personally, leggings with not-so-fresh sneakers don't make a good impression in a restaurant. As a customer, I would like this to be improved. It detracts from the overall impression and remains firmly in the memory. But I can really recommend the food.

Yesterday we visited your “restaurant”. It was terrible, we have never eaten such terrible sushi. I came across a small piece in one of the sushis that almost broke my tooth. Kimchi is disgusting. The staff is not friendly at all. Waste of money. I will never come back here again

Great concept, somewhat justified in terms of price,

Did the lunch buffet. Did not expect the food to be as good as it was. One can order up to 50 portions (personal experience, may change over time). Knowing that, I did not expect the portion size that was served. Barely got 20 portions in before calling it quits. Great food. Great atmosphere and fast service. Would highly recommend.

Best sushi from Trier! Everything fresh and homemade, good price-performance ratio. Only the service staff could be friendlier but maybe the Japanese are like that. Definitely a big recommendation.
