Restaurant Yamamoto in Trier

We used to have a better experience, food wise and drinks wise. The sushi, sake and cocktails are not of the same quality anymore. Schade I guess

The food is good, but once again the service is poor. Impossible allocation of space, although there is space elsewhere. Only get a good place after discussion. But there was no service for ages. When she noticed us, there was a hello, then she was gone again. After complaining about whether there was anything, there was only a snippy answer. Service overall was not very motivated and not courteous. You feel more annoying than intentional. We left the restaurant frustrated

The sushi was absolutely outstanding – fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight! The starters were also delicious and complemented the main course perfectly. What was particularly impressive was the super friendly staff, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The service was attentive and always courteous. The location is also beautifully designed, modern and cozy at the same time, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic experience – I’ll definitely be back!

Yamomoto is an excellent Japanese restaurant with fresh, quality ingredients and an elegant atmosphere. The sushi is artfully prepared and the service is attentive and professional. Absolutely recommended for foodies!

We sat at the front by the windows. I find that very uncomfortable, a lot of traffic behind me. The food came at an unprecedented speed and was of very good quality. And just like that, the evening was over. You can't please everyone, but a cozy evening can be different.

Yamamoto is really a great restaurant! The rooms are stylishly and tastefully furnished, with decorations and lighting creating a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is also convincing: the dishes are well thought out, varied and often vegetarian or even vegan, which is why there should be something for pretty much every taste. The service should also be praised, as it was very friendly and attentive and served the food promptly, but also regularly kept an eye on empty bottles or glasses. All in all a wonderful experience - gladly again! 😊✨

The service was good. Unfortunately the bill arrived with a long delay, but otherwise everything was okay.

The food is OK, but nothing great. The sushi was good, the rest of the dishes were quite unimaginative (there were four of us and we had sushi as a starter and four different dishes). The prices are a bit high for the quantity and quality.

We were there for dinner except the sushi is not recommended. Our food didn't come at the same time so we had to eat one after the other. Then our "Mango Limo" was just mango juice mixed with water and the warm main courses were unfortunately also a failure. But as I said, the sushi was great, the only positive thing about the restaurant. We won't be coming back.

He was moved 3 times due to a very rude manager. The food is great but the little flies flying around on the tables are a surprise.

For Trier, a great Asian restaurant with first-class white wines. Whether it's the sushi or the pasta dishes, everything is great! Sure: Phad Thai for now 20 euros is already at the limit.

The sushi was good, there are no deductions. But our female waiter was a horror. Rarely seen something so unqualified and rude. We were happy not to have our plate taken away during the meal. Things were also passed over to other plates where you were eating without any consideration. Uneaten suhsi was simply thrown on the table. She didn't care whether they were just having a conversation. Just babbled it in. And I like to tip, but I took a €15 tip as a matter of course without asking if I wanted to get anything back. And then not even saying thank you. And at 150€ for 2 people I think we weren't bad customers. The sushi can be as good as it wants, but I/we will never go there again. And therefore unfortunately only one star Train your staff better.

Fine sushi, good selection even for guests who prefer something different. For me the first address in Trier. The service is great, the prices are reasonable. I will gladly come again!

Yamamoto is a fine dining Asian restaurant! The food was delicious and good portions. However the service could have been better! The place also doesn’t have kids menu but they did make a customized dish on request for the kids! Overall cozy ambience, good wine and great food! 😃 it located in the city center of Trier, so worth trying!

Great place to eat sushis, not overpriced, we took a boat for 2, came with starters also. Excellent mango limonade Only negative point was the service, even if the waiters were really friendly, it took 45 mins for starter to arrive and an hour for our main dish to arrive. Will definitely come back.

Very fresh food, ordered a boat for 2 people + a very good Riesling + sparkling water bottle, 3 adults were full. 90€ including tip and we weren't asked out after 2 hours.

We had a very nice time here. The sushi was super fresh and delicious! I also absolutely fell in love with the dessert here: baked banana! I can only recommend you! The service was extremely friendly and took great care of everything (unfortunately I'm not used to that often). The many lamps in the back of the restaurant rounded off the atmosphere today. I was very dissatisfied with this restaurant, especially because we were not allowed to eat there. How so?. It was my birthday. I love ramen and sushi. That would work here, I thought. So no! Well, I'm not from Trier and I don't have a telephone number to make a reservation. I see people working inside, so I knock on the door. No reaction. I knock again. A European lady opens the door, looking irritated. "Yes?" "It's my birthday and I would like to eat here tonight. Can I make a reservation for four people?" At that moment she looks at my kids (8 and 9) and says, "No, we're full until 9pm.", without checking anything AND slams the door in my face. Maybe this is a super funky place for a fake would-be hipster, but I wouldn't be caught dead here. I'm sure Isoroku Yamamoto is turning in his watery grave over this horrible insult to his name.

Always worth a visit when we are in Trier!

Very nice restaurant with very good understanding of guests. We went out a little later that evening and spontaneously and had already received cancellations from three restaurants. We came in and were immediately greeted in a friendly and warm manner, even though it was very busy. That's what you want (thanks to the great service). The food was awesome. Very fresh and super flavorful dishes. The ambience is top. We will become regular customers there. More experiences to follow.

A few days ago we were at Yamamoto with two adults and a three-year-old and had a very nice evening with delicious food. I particularly liked the friendly service and the thoughtfulness for the small child. Very affectionate and attentive (the little one got his food first, a biscuit, his own chair :-)). Although two questions were forgotten, they were solved quickly and charmingly. The food was very tasty. I read in the menu that the dishes contain flavor enhancers. Therefore only 4 out of 5 stars for the food. You don't need that, do you? Maybe it'll be possible without it soon :-) Thanks for a nice evening!

It was very tasty, unfortunately we always waited a long time for service. We also waited a long time for food. Since there are some good shops with sushi in Trier, Yamamoto wouldn't be my first choice. Price performance was ok.

Hier bekomme ich die leckersten Suschi in Trier. Fisch von bester Qualität für Trier. Preise sind adäquat für das Essen. Getränke finde ich extrem überteuert. Kleine Tasse Tee kostet leider an die 5 Euro, aber er schmeckt, dass muss man dazu sagen. Eine Kanne Tee für 8€ wäre fairer. Die Suschisets gibt es mit einer Misu-Suppe, Algensalat oder KimChi. Alles gut von Geschmack und Qualität. Ambiente im Lokal ist angenehm warm und ruhig. Ich würde leise, unaufdringliche Musik begrüssen. Offene Küche (was gut ist) bringt leider lautes Geschirrgeplimper als sehr störendes Element (würde die Geschirwäsche aus der iffenen Küche raus nehmen). Gäste versuchen das Geklimper zu überschreien, was das Restaurant in einen Kantinendebackel versetzt. Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. alles Top! Von mir eine Klare Empfehlung! Bin gespannt, am das in Trier noch übertrumpft. Werde ich mal suchen.

Eine Bewertung, die lange überfällig ist. Ich komme immer wieder super gerne hierhin. Das Essen enttäuscht nie, qualitativ wirklich gutes Sushi. Ja, bei den Bedingungen hapert es ab und zu mal, aber jeder hat mal nicht so gute Tage. Ich weiß, wieviel Liebe und Arbeit in dieses Restaurant fließen. Danke :)

Schönes Ambiente, nette Bedienung und leckeres Essen. Was will man mehr? Für den kleinen Geldbeutel ist's zwar nicht, wenn man sich wirklich satt essen möchte, aber dafür stimmt die Qualität. Den Preis finde ich daher angemessen.

The best sushi in half Germany country. Top quality meat and always your sushi is made at time you order. At Ms Lian your sushi is pre -pared hours ago and it is not that fresh, also the quality of the fish not good anymore. Yamamoto restaurant is a real delight my favorite

Wir sind keine häufigen Sushi-Esser, daher taten wir uns mit der Karte ein wenig schwer. Aber die freundliche Bedienung hat uns top Beraten. Schaut einfach mal auf die Bilder hier bei den Rezensionen, das Sushi sieht toll aus und schmeckt auch klasse. Wir hatten keine langen Wartezeit und haben alles gleichzeitig erhalten. Wir werden da sicher mal wieder hingehen.

Tjaaa, wo fange ich an😉. Also der Service war sehr freundlich, auch wenn er "keine" Ahnung hatte ;) Die Qualität des Essens ist auf gutem Niveau aber die Portionen... also.. nein, einfach nicht ausreichend um wirklich satt und ohne arm zu werden, nach Hause zu fahren. Das Ambiente ist liebevoll aber auch hier gibt es zwei Bereiche.. der hintere, eher ruhig und stilvoll (muss man wohl reservieren..), das Ambiente vorne in der Nähe der Küche... viel zu stressig. In summary: nicht nochmal für das Geld ohne satt zu werden. P.s. hab Zuhause für meine Frau noch eine Pizza gemacht, weil sie Hunger hatte...

La nourriture est vraiment bof. Très approximative. J'ai pris un plat avec des légumes et du bœuf. Et bah...les légumes étaient absents...bon, c'était pas dégoûtant, mais ça justifie certainement pas le prix.

Alles super, der Service und das Essen waren hervorragend und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ! :)

Wartezeit auf das Essen einfach mit 1,5 Stunden zu lang. Die Entschuldigung, dass die Küche unterbesetzt sei, kann ich nicht akzeptieren. Entweder sollte man auf die Länge der Wartezeit hingewiesen werden oder das Restaurant sollte die Kapazität auf 50 % runterfahren. Auch die Qualität der Ente und des Porks waren nicht sehr gut.
