OH, PANAMA in Berlin

Unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations. Large dining room - small tables - not very comfortable chairs. You sit close to the other guests. Hansi's menu - 8 courses to share. Most of it was OK in terms of taste and visually appealing - but it wasn't a particularly exciting experience and the taste was mostly inconsequential. Everything is a bit “coarse” and portions are much too big - even for the relatively small tables - but the wine accompaniment is homeopathic. The service was rather boring and sometimes overwhelmed. The shop was full on Saturday evening - 2 larger groups in need of communication and loud, sometimes very "weird" music - unfortunately it had nothing to do with relaxed enjoyment. The whole thing doesn't match the price level (~120 EUR per person). We were a little happy when we were finally finished. No recommendation.

My company choose there for the Christmas party and WHAT A TREAT! Staff is incredible and treated us like kings. Always pouring, cleaning and smile. 10/10 Food was great as well! A little bit more salt on the fish and would be perfect.

Very modernly interpreted, extremely tasty dishes, humorously prepared and perfectly served. The service was very helpful and courteous and gave very good recommendations. The atmosphere is modern and simple! It's a shame that this concept is no longer being pursued!

My last dinner in Berlin was in Oh, Panama and sadly it wasn't such a great experience. The value for money was very low, the prices are expensive and the dishes are very small. 1 piece of bread with butter for 3.5 € I ordered 3 different dishes other than bread and the only good dish was the Saddleback pig croquettes with beetroot. The main course of Brill, buttermilk garum, radish was good in size but I didn't enjoy the fish or the taste of the dish in general. I skipped dessert because I didn't feel like spending more money or time on food I didn't enjoy.

Five of us visited here on a Friday evening in mid-November. Reception and orientation was relaxed. The ambience for sitting (on the bench) was really appealing. The service staff (actually there were two) weren't particularly attentive. We had ordered Hansi's menu, the dishes were put down once without any comment or explanation, and for the second and third courses the explanation was more than careless. Sometimes we sat with completely empty glasses and no bottle of water, ordering drinks took a long time and an espresso didn't make it to the table. In general, we felt the service that evening needed to be greatly improved. The food was "okay". Delicious, of course, but when you dine in this price segment, you also have to meet certain expectations. Everything was perfect in terms of craftsmanship and taste. We weren't impressed with the proportions on the plates, the creativity and ultimately the price/performance. In the end we had a nice evening in a nice upscale Berlin restaurant. But we wouldn't visit Oh Panama again.

Splendid. Wonderful, atmospheric space, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable waiting staff and of course the food was excellent - we especially enjoyed the beef cheeks. The paired beers were really good. Highly recommended.

Great location, friendly staff and great food

I love this place. I think it's a shame that the "ground floor" is no longer "open" or is separated off for a separately bookable room and therefore a little atmosphere and soul is missing as soon as you come in.. the bar is therefore not really in operation either.. It seems like a hotel lobby and not like a place where you can be among yourself but also meet others casually. I really hope that they will completely open this floor again and allow the terrace, bar and... Restaurant to one Nice flow comes... but the food, the ambience on the 1st floor, the super nice and natural service team and the Tiger Bar were, as always, a real treat for the eyes, stomach and also for the ears... very nice playlist..

Beautiful restaurant with very creative German cuisine. It feels a bit like grandma's on the dining table but with modern influences. We had a wonderful evening with excellent service. We had a wonderful evening at Oh Panama. I can highly recommend the Hansi's Surprise 5 Course Menu To Share and it is plentiful. We were particularly enthusiastic about the wine pairing. Any time.

Dinner was brilliant, we where lucky enough to book the night there new menu started. The wine pairing with hansis extended menu was perfect.

A wonderful and very special evening. The 6 course menu for 2 people with wine accompaniment was simply fantastic. Incredible taste experiences and explosive moments in the mouth. Chic shop. However, the menu is a bit too expensive. Instagrammable food. If you're really hungry, you won't get enough. Service is generally attentive, but you're not always sure what's on the drinks menu.

Enjoyed the expanded set menu with both wine and beer pairing. Staff was wonderful and the careful thought and delicious execution of the courses made the experience exceed expectations. Based on traditional German dishes, bold flavors and commitment to elevating the quality of every ingredient shines through the meal.

Unique experience in Berlin - had the larger tasting menu and it was too much food (large portions even though they were shared by couple) for a tasting menu, so I would stick with the 3 course or ordering off the menu. Reasonably priced & very friendly staff.

We ordered an extended shared menu for three people, one cocktail, and two bottles of wine. Each meal is delicate and balanced. It is highly recommended.

We had a delicious wood grilled perch with aubergine and beef cheeks with beet root salad. Excellent service. Beautiful patio for dining and late night hangout. Also excellent bar inside if the weather is a little cool.

It was a good visit. Unfortunately, the service is not up to the price level of the restaurant. The food was good.

Had dinner here for my partner’s birthday, it was a great experience. The staff was lovely and helped plan a surprise dessert with candle. We sat outside, which was nice. The food was delicious.

Simply great food, pleasant atmosphere, nice to sit outside, especially in summer. In terms of price it is a bit higher but it is justified for the quality 😉👍.

A secluded place, very well decorated with lots of vegetation and quiet. The dishes were all delicious and the service was spectacular. Everyone was very attentive and very friendly. An experience that is worth it. The truth is, the first time I ate Pork Tartare, I was pleasantly surprised.

The food is excellent. Unfortunately, something is served carelessly. There is little or no clear explanation of what exactly is being served to everyone at the table. But that would be very important with Hansi's surprise menu.

I love the cozy, easy going atmosphere. Food was good. Service was good as well. I think some people need time to get one waitress's character. since It can be too cold for someone, but it goes better by time. since she is nice. Wine pairing choice was perfect. the portion was good for me as well. I just didn't like the dessert. It was unbalanced mixture, in my point of view. Generally I think it's good location to hang out with friends and family.

The Oh Panama convinced us on every level. Service was great, the atmosphere was great and the food was simply a dream! As soon as you step into the backyard from the lively Potsdamer Str., you feel like you're on vacation. Simply wonderful! The cocktails also taste great and are ideal for getting in the mood for the evening as well as for ending it.

It's good, but unfortunately not anymore during my visit. We had the 4-course menu, everything was perfectly fine, but no dish remains in the back of our minds. Service was OK, but completely emotionless.

We had a three course menu that was absolutely delicious. Clean and fresh flavors that were well balanced in a relaxed atmosphere added to the relaxed vibe. This is a place that does not compromise quality of food and executes it with the perfect balance.

I went to this restaurant because of the good reviews and the experience was great. Very friendly staff, nice terrace and atmosphere and the dood was delicious! Also, because I came early I got a discount (whithout knowing it, so a nice surprise).

Unfortunately you can't add any more stars, this restaurant deserves it. Potsdamer Straße, somewhat hidden in a backyard, welcomes you to an incredible culinary temple. We had top-class service. But from what I could see, everyone was on their toes. The food...a poem on several levels. All around the best in Berlin for a long time - keep it up. We will be back.

A magnificent restaurant in a sublime alley. The food is very good but the quantities are small. The service is not pleasant at all, the mood of the waitress and the fact that we seem to be disturbing. Fortunately a boy was friendly, which saved the evening. Go there just for the food and the setting.

The food and interior styling is very good but VERY overpriced for the dishes. It has the pricing of a fine dining restaurant without providing the complexity I’d expect of fine finding. I wouldn’t return, but I also would not discourage someone from trying it out for themselves.

Nice spot on a summer's evening. Really fantastic cocktails, nice wine by the glass, great service. My main course was a bit average (oversalted and tasted only of very concentrated tomato instead of the promised mushroom, plus the salad leaves had not been dried properly after washing) but everything else was extremely good, especially the smoked fish with potato cake and dill. Amazing innovative food, interesting new tastes to experience. The green tomato sorbet was a superb surprise. Pleasant service. We will recommend this place and come back.

Maybe we were unlucky with our waiters, who changed a total of four times during the meal and were actually all unfriendly and even arrogant. When I asked whether Hackepeter was raw meat, the answer was, Hackepeter. The waiter who brought the food didn't know who had ordered which dish and then became almost annoyed when we told him who was getting which plate. Our neighboring table had chosen the wine accompaniment and a very nice rose in the glass. When I asked if the waitress could recommend a bottle of this wine for our meal selection, she simply said, yes, it is on the menu. It was an organic rose from the plant, which was actually very good, but needed some explanation. Overall, we didn't feel comfortable with this treatment. The portions are actually manageable and the compositions are not particularly original, but they are good to eat. The ambience is so làlà, definitely not sophisticated in any way. We sat on the first floor in front of the open kitchen.

A couple of just ok dishes (taco and char) but some major fails ( the super recommended cauliflower, the empanadas, the salad) left us bewildered. Nice decor, good service. .

We love Oh, Panama for the food, attentiveness, casual vibe, and lovely summer location (winter is great, too, but the courtyard is special!!). But the highlight is the fact that kids are treated as the gourmet guests that they are - a rare find at this level of hospitality. Thank you!

No, absolutely no changes in terms of wine or food cause any confusion, everything is uncomplicated and therefore so beautiful. And now for food; Starting with "celery cheese with strudel leaves and camelina", a very, very light, extremely tasty celery salad with a kind of nan on top, which is "pasted" with linseed, WOW! with local bread, nice and crispy from the wood-fired oven, with butter, oh so delicious, I only know it from GO..."Stern" around the corner ;-). Then followed by "glazed beef cheeks with mashed potatoes and parsley gremolata", whereby the "sauces" merge into one another in such a way that when mixed with the meat, which is so tender and with the dissolved marbled one, it increases the taste in a way that is anything but To call it absolutely perfect would be presumptuous. And for dessert, the absolute highlight! Buchteln or here as “tube noodles with vanilla sauce”! I'm speechless, the hammer, so fluffy, so light, the filling, unobtrusive, yes, only there as a hint, yet so indispensable to the whole thing! Chapeaux! And of course, after this completely normal ;-) dinner, an espresso, just the way I like it! Mild, soft, chocolaty, little acid. Simply divine! Well, now that's the end of the ultimate adulation (©Room free!). We will be back! Thank you very much and a happy “God bless you!” and thank you many times

Oh, Panama! A different kind of German cuisine. The food was delicious, the service was great and the cocktails were something different. The menu is varied, they seem to change it every few weeks. We were satisfied, especially the service was great. Unfortunately you can't choose whether you want to sit inside or outside, that apparently depends on the weather, it wasn't that bad, but I would still have preferred inside because of the ambience. The best thing was the bedside table, pasta dough filled with berries (hot) and vanilla sauce! The price is a bit excessive but the taste is excellent.

Top! Modern kitchen. Fine dining concept. We were there spontaneously after an exhibition. The welcome was super warm! I recommend the three-course menu to everyone here. The individual courses are cleverly designed and absolutely delicious. You can simply sit in the courtyard with a glass of wine 🍷! You spend more money on the evening here, but you invest in an all-round great evening! Clear recommendation! PS: The service was very good! After we received a very warm welcome, the employee at our table was, in contrast, very introverted. Now that's really complaining at the highest level.

We had an amazing time at Oh, Panama! Food was outstanding, wine pairing also. But special mention to the wonderful staff and to the non alcoholic pairing which was one of the most surprising and interesting pairing I ever had. Fantastic place to have a great dinner with friends!

It was good food...but it was very noisy there

I just to a Gandalf and followd my nose. Food was some of the best i got in Berlin. They a fantastic beer menu and beer sommelier. I came a scepti and left with a smile 😊😁

We went to Oh Panama tonight because it is in Michelin’s sélection. We were really disappointed. The service is so un-professional that it made us laugh. The « So called » chef’s 3 dishes menu is very basic. The meat was greasy And the desert tasteless ! At 68€ the menu with meat, they could have done far better. The day before, we went to Crackers And for the same price, it is beyond compare !

Just wow. Chosen by the guide Michlien, it turned out to be a great evening. A super great staff. The food, yes it gets difficult, here you were served such a great selection of ingredients, preparation methods, spices and everything that was just a dream.

A beautifully located restaurant in the back yard with a Kafkaesque concept: Nobody knows whether you're sitting in the Oh, Panama or the Tigerbar - obviously not even the staff. The food and drinks that were served to us (by which I imply that not everything that we were inclined to order necessarily reached our table) were of good quality, although definitely debatable in terms of price/quantity ratio. However, when I go to a high-quality restaurant where I am willing to pay higher prices, I also expect the corresponding service. Maybe it's part of the concept here to serve haute cuisine in a Berliner unfriendly and extremely reluctant manner, maybe we caught a day when the numerous staff had a bad day, but I was rarely able to enjoy such subterranean service. Not only did we stare at our empty plates with empty glasses for at least 30 minutes after our meal (a situation we ended by leaving), we also took on the task of separating our group order ourselves and explaining what to the waiter we have to pay. I am aware that one of the unpleasant peculiarities of the Germans is that everyone pays for their order individually, but c'est la vie. The fact that they didn't have any change left me with the impression of professional amateurism. I was here for the first and last time.

This was a memorable culinary and dining experience. The dishes and wine pairing were creative, fresh, savory and presented with care. The floor hosts catered to guests needs with thoughtfulness, diligence, and attention to particular pleasures or wishes. Thank you to the staff of Oh Panama! for a wonderful dining experience.

Fantastic food that more than justifies the high prices given the small portions. This is how I imagine modern ones. fine cuisine! In addition, friendly, attentive and at the same time unobtrusive staff. Overall, a recommendation for anyone who wants to experience what German cuisine can do these days.

Oustanding evening. Super-friendly staff - all of them! Starters: Latke with eel a highlight. Mains: delicious beef cheek. Dessert: both were amazing - sheep's milk ice cream w rhubarb / crumble paired with a creamy sake! And plum dumpling with vanilla sauce amazing. Potato and white choc petit fours was crazily good. My friend and I went here for dinner pre-Philharmonie and the food and cocktails were not only the best I had while staying in Berlin, but the waitstaff made sure our courses came out in time to make it to the concert. Not pictured: sheep's milk ice cream with rhubarb and an almond crumble, because it disappeared before I could take a photo.
