The food was absolutely amazing!! Traditional Greek dishes form the basis for a modern reinterpretation that knows how to delight. Attentive, very warm, but never intrusive staff look after the guest in an atmospheric and pleasantly amphora-free ambience. An experience!

We were here recently for a company Christmas party. We were warmly welcomed and everyone was helped with our wardrobe. There is even something cute for the children on the stairs. The ambience is rather modern, which looks very neat, but is not that appealing to me personally. I found the pictures of the owner's family all the more beautiful and honest in their external appearance. The pictures exude the pride and honor of the family, which certainly came to Wiesbaden a long time ago to start a life away from home. I think it would be nice if the entire restaurant exuded the flair that prevails in the upper staircase. We had announced/ordered the dishes in advance. Some of us had ordered an appetizer, others didn't. When asked, they said there was an appetizer on the house. The fact that this didn't happen in the end is bearable. What wasn't nice, however, was that it took time to find out and communicate this. I was hungry and wanted to order pide and tzatziki anyway. If the confusing note hadn't been there at the beginning and if the colleagues who had ordered a starter had been asked straight away whether they would like it served before or with the main course, it would have been fine. The food, however, was excellent. The tzatziki was less traditionally served with an ice cream scoop. The pide was freshly baked and extremely tasty. The amount of tzatziki was just right, we had to order pide again. The meat skewers were made from good, tender meat and were deliciously seasoned. Just like the Bifteki. You can order wine from your own estate and the water is served in your own bottle. It didn't surprise me for a moment that the restaurant was so busy. Well, the prices are in the upper middle range, but the food is worth every cent and extremely tasty. A warm greeting to the kitchen again! What surprises me, but seems to be common practice now: There is no small Uozo on the house when it comes to numbers. In general with Greeks and also with the prices quoted, I find this to be appropriate and generally a nice gesture. For a small group of the last guests there was this or an espresso on the house. The only annoying thing was that at the end there were unpaid items left over. It's not nice that this happens among colleagues. It wasn't so nice that a very dear colleague paid the remaining bill in the end. The service should have kept a better eye on this. But the service could also have acted more confidently. (e.g. to name the open items in good time to the last 10 guests before billing and, in case of doubt, to be able to take over the unpaid points yourself as a restaurant.) Well, it was a nice evening and the food was good. Thank you! efcharistó poli!

We were visiting our son in Wiesbaden and had dinner last night at Kavos. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We highly recommend Kavos and will definitely be back.

The food is absolutely amazing! The octopus was super tender and cooked to perfection. We also had the lamb skewer and pork skewer and they were both delicious, tender, and juicy. We will definitely be coming back here! The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Recently went back again and took some friends this time. They absolutely loved it! The food is soo good and the service is always top tier. Best Greek food we have had in Germany.

As a Munich resident, I've been eating here every time I'm in Wiesbaden for 8 years and it's been my favorite restaurant for 8 years! There is definitely no better Greek, not even in Munich. The cuisine has been at the highest level for 8 years and the service is also perfect 👌 It couldn't be better. Today I enjoyed the most amazing dish. Salmon was super delicioso.

We were there today with a larger group and we all loved it. The ouzo as an aperitif is not a standard ouzo but has a fine taste. The starters were just as tasty and plentiful, the prawns in tomato sauce were sensational. One of the best tomato sauce I've eaten. Very fruity in taste. The meat of the main course was fried to perfection and very juicy. The service was always very friendly and attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening. We'd love to come back.

A very nice Greek restaurant in the center of Wiesbaden. The owner Kosta is very attentive and friendly. Likewise the staff. The food is very authentic we have in Greece. You won't find gyros here. Instead, there are delicious mezethes (small dishes) such as the cold starter variation or shrimp in tomato sauce, feta saganaki and lamb chops. As a Greek myself, I can only recommend this and it is one of my favorite restaurants. The prices are slightly higher due to the location, the surrounding restaurants are also in this price range. You can sit both inside and outside. In cold days it is converted into a winter garden. Thanks to Kosta and his team.

This restaurant leaves nothing to be desired! The atmosphere and the particularly friendly staff ensure that you feel comfortable while eating and that you have a holiday feeling. The menu offers a great selection of traditional Greek dishes. The dishes are very tasty and freshly prepared. A big recommendation if you are in Wiesbaden!!!

Rarely have I experienced such a beautiful and high-quality Greek restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. The owner is always up for a nice chat. The rest of the staff were also very nice and accommodating. The food was divine. It tasted excellent. Particularly recommended is the eggplant in tahini sauce and olive oil. Great restaurant.

A little Greek gem in the heart of Wiesbaden. The food was very tasty and finally not like the "standard Greek" where everything is drowned in cheese and sauce. The portion size was just right for us. I don't need a plate full of food that would immediately make me lose my appetite. We were brought extra bread for the starter, which was not charged for. The espresso macchiato at the end also tasted very good. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive.

The boss is very arrogant, surly and behaves like “a boss”. Only he is allowed to collect and take orders. For this reason we had to wait forever until we could order or pay. The food was okay, but the prices - including for the drinks - were completely unfounded! Even for Wiesbaden standards it is simply outrageous! And the fact that you have to order bread as a side dish with a starter (and of course have to pay for it) is simply not possible!

The reserved table was not yet free, we were parked at the counter with the menus and forced to order drinks several times. After 20 minutes our table was free and after we were seated we were forced to order again. The baby calamar are squid tubes cut into strips, we know it completely differently. The gentleman at the next table was just as irritated. The bread was dry and chewy. After paying we got an ouzo on the house, unfortunately one of the glasses was cracked. As we were leaving, the boss said goodbye and he was a bit irritated that we weren't happy with our stay in the restaurant. I expect a lot more in this price range.

First night in weisbarden and wanted somewhere to eat, stumbled across Kavos. I was greeted by a smile and friendly service. I wen for the squid which was fantastic, would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a Greek dinner out.

Very nice restaurant with very nice and attentive service and, above all, very tasty food! We had garlic bread as well as bifteki and pork souvlaki, each with homemade coleslaw, tzatziki and fried potatoes. Everything was very well seasoned, finely balanced and visually very appealing. Clear recommendation!

The food is very good, but also quite expensive. However, it is worth its price. They charge 4.90 euros for tap water, which I don't think is right. The wine is already expensive enough, you should just get water with it...

Super nice, good Greek. Right in the boat. Kitchen very good, food super tasty. We're full but we make up for it with charm and elan. Service very accommodating. Food is always first class. I love going there again and again.

The ultimate Greek experience outside of Greece. New from Greece and do you miss gourmet food combined with seafood? In portions that fill you up? Satisfactory selection of seafood and meat, excellent service. Every dish is delicious, while the only thing that seems to be adapted to German standards is the tzatziki, which lacks a bit of garlic. The ouzo produced by their own distillery is also recommended. Definitely recommended. Prices apparently moderately high to high (see price list posted on the store's website).

After a short walk around the Dern grounds, we got a tip to eat at the Greek restaurant Kavos. The dishes are great. Highly recommended by us.

I made a reservation for myself and my wife a few days in advance. Worked great. Then the food and drinks were ordered from a very polite, friendly waiter who, by the way, took all the orders from all the guests and still kept an eye on when other guests had a request. Hats off...that's a rare experience. Hence the service full marks. Now to the food, I have rarely eaten such well-prepared lamb and my wife said it was the best prawns she has ever had in Germany (FYI we travel as much as possible). I won't even talk about the other food. Therefore full marks here too. Ambiance, well, made the best of the location that you can do... but we felt very comfortable. Yes, the price may be intimidating, but it is justified. We've eaten more expensively and cheaper, but it wasn't that good. 👍 I won't say anything about the price because we enjoyed it.

We had dinner there today and it was simply great! Both the waiter, the manager and the kitchen were sensational! One taste explosion followed another. Very tasty and tender lamb souvlaki, not the usual leather sole consistency. Potato chips very spicy and delicious. First class tzatziki. Shrimp meatballs top. Children's meal was fully eaten.

1 dish was good, the other bad. The quality of the pork was borderline, very dry, the potatoes were also very dry, I have never had such poor quality pork from a Greek restaurant. Completely overpriced for this dish. What bothered us most was that we were told that bread was part of the meal and we could mix 2 types. It was clear to us that it would be billed as one starter, but not that two would be billed.

Ate very tasty. 😋 A bit cramped, but great atmosphere!

For a special reason, I had reserved a very specific table very early on - and exactly that! - I was also kindly promised by email. This was already full, even though we had already reserved for 6 p.m. The boss didn't think it was necessary to apologize in a friendly (!! Greek!) way, but rather gave me the feeling several times that I was making a particularly bold demand. I can only hope for his sake that he had a particularly bad day! Otherwise, the food is good and the other staff are attentive - although once the main course has been served, no one is interested in whether drinks, dessert or coffee are wanted.

I had previously been to this place and it was good. This time I called and booked. They said they had a table in the tent. I asked if the tent had smokers and they said it was a non smoking area. When we arrived the tent was very smoky and our table was the only non smoking table with all nearby tables smoking. When we mentioned that we were told it was a non smoking table the waiter was very rude and old us that OUR table was non smoking only. His attitude with us was horrible so we decided to leave and he started moaning about us to the other guests. It was a totally inappropriate manner and unprofessional. I am an asthmatic and smoke triggers my attacks and I wasn’t going to sit there and suffer and be treated badly. I will not return.

We visited the restaurant on January 25, 2024 and unfortunately have to say: it was an evening that we will not soon forget. The visit ended in disaster. OK. - there was a lot to do that evening - but you still expect caring hospitality in a Greek restaurant. But the dining room was so cold that we put on our winter coats at the table. Our request to close the door through which the cold came in was answered twice with a sharp "Please wait a moment" - but without any consequence. I pointed this out to the boss when I was paying, who asked me: "Why don't you say anything"? When I replied that I had pointed this out to his employee twice without success, he replied: "He can't react - he doesn't understand German"! Excellent! And the fact that we were sitting at the table wearing winter jackets didn't encourage anyone in the service to ask how we were. Disaster struck when we left the restaurant: my wife fell over a high, unlit staircase in the middle of the dining room and landed unceremoniously on the floor. Swelling of the face, bleeding gums and a bruise on the shoulder were the unsightly consequences. Interestingly, if the innkeeper happened to be near guests who were approaching the step, he would warn them. Unfortunately he wasn't there for my wife... Conclusion: This evening was characterized by great indifference towards us and ended extremely painfully for my wife. Nevertheless, we give two stars for the food and wine - because they were really good.

Service war sehr gut, Essen gut. Alles ein wenig eng. Wir mussten draußen sitzen und da ist es trotz Wärmestrahler und Koldern zu kalt.

There are many nice restaurants in Wiesbaden, but Kavos is one of the best in my opinion. I love Greek food, and this place has it all! Superior service(thank you Aristotle:) ), incredible flavors! I’ma lamb lover, and my skewers were delicious, but if you go there, be sure to try moussaka(the eggplant dish). It is simply unlike anything I’ve had before. Thankful my niece was willing to share😅. I really enjoyed the the “coleslaw “, a Greek take on sauerkraut, but 1 million times better.. actually made me think of my grandmas cabbage dish. We also had fried feta salad and Fava.. I think I will try to make it at home. Dessert was simple, but also not lacking in flavor. If you like Mediterranean food, think no longer, and just try this place. I guarantee that you will return. ευχαριστώ, from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful evening.

A great quaint place for authentic Greek food and friendliness! You're immediately made to feel welcome the minute you walk in and made to feel at home. The food choices are well thought out and delicious from appetizer to entree. Unfortunately we were too full to have dessert but did find room for a final drink of Ouzo!

Das kleine Restaurant bietet Platz auf zwei Etagen (Erdgeschoss und 1. Obergeschoss) und auch einen Außenbereich. Alles sehr klein und dicht beieinander, aber gemütlich. Allerdings muss man es schon mögen, dass der fremde Tischnachbar nur sehr knapp neben einem sitzt. Das Ambiente mediterran mit einem Hauch Urlaub im Süden. Die Speisekarte klein, aber fein. Man kann zwischen kleinen Vorspeisen, Salaten und mehreren Hauptgerichten wählen. Alles ist optisch sehr ansprechend zurecht gemacht und duftet sehr gut, das Essen ist beim der irren noch sehr heiß, was ich gut fand. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe spontan da und bestellten die Speisekarte hoch und runter, alle lobten den Geschmack des bestellten. Die Portionen sind gut und ausreichend. Auch beim Dessert hat man eine kleine Auswahl. Alle, wirklich alle Desserts sind nicht nur eine Augenweide, sondern geschmacklich top. Können wir beurteilen, weil wir in der Gruppe alles verfügbare bestellt und probiert hatten, Testesser hatten wir genug 😉 Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und sorgt für eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Es war ein schöner Abend.

Sehr gutes griechisches Restaurant!

Das Essen war hier wirklich sehr köstlich. Ich hatte zwei Vorspeisen und ein Hauptgericht. Alle Portionen waren recht groß und wurden zügig serviert. Preislich hatte ich sicherlich schon günstigere, aber der Lage geschuldet, waren die umliegenden Restaurants nicht wirklich günstiger. Die Sitze im Außenbereich, so in einer Gasse, haben sicherlich ihren eigenen Charme. Ich fand es nicht schlecht. Man konnte die Menschen beobachten, die vorbei laufen und ein wenig am Stadtleben teilnehmen. Wer das nicht mag, kann sich reinsetzen. Meine Bewertung für das Ambiente bezieht sich nur auf den Außenbereich. Auch wenn ich dort recht zufrieden war, konnte ich schon in Außenbereiche sitzen, die durch ihre Lage deutlich mehr bieten konnten, weshalb ich hier maximal 3 Sterne verteilen kann. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Äußerst professionell.

Service war an sich okay. Der Kellner war sehr nett. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist eine absolute Frechheit. Zwei Personen ca. 100€ und man hat gefühlt nichts gegessen. Wir mussten danach noch den restlichen Hunger zuhause stillen.

Man fühlt sich wie im Urlaub - vom Ambiente bis zum Essen! Alles schmeckte unglaublich frisch und gut; besonders zu empfehlen wären das Knoblauchbrot und der Oktopus aber es hat wirklich alles gut geschmeckt!

Tucked away down a side-street in the centre of Wiesbaden is Kavos. And you must visit. The menu is excellent, the serving staff (some of whom speak English) are attentive but not over-powering, the food both delicious and beautifully presented, and the portion sizes spot on. With a great atmosphere this is a wonderful place to visit, either as a couple or as a group of friends - trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I will certainly dine there again. Cozy environment upstairs next to the French balcony. We ate too much from the appetizers and ended up packing most of my main course to go. Service was also perfect. 👌

Leckeres griechisches Essen. Guter Service. Schönes Ambiente. Insgesamt passt hier alles. Preis/Leistung gut, ca. 30-40 Euro pro Person. Absolut empfehlenswert.
