The service is really nice and fast. The food was good, but little expensive.

It's delicious and the staff is friendly. The only regret is that I ordered a T-bone steak, but it came out boneless, so I couldn't tell if it was a T-bone steak. The medium was overcooked 😅. I think the other dishes are really delicious, except for the steak. The lunch menu prices are reasonable compared to the prices in Stuttgart. I recommend it.

This Place is really amazing! I tried the Knuc Sepp, which was really amazing! I especially into its pasta. Their Texture and flavor were on point. I also tried the super bowl but Not that impressive to me. The Portion was at the right size to make you full. And the service is nice! Note: the Price is currently 30% more expansive than the Menu here

The boss, with her gray-to-white hair, treats regulars like a piece of wood that can be moved around at will. My husband goes outside to smoke, but she didn't like it because she supposedly needed the table immediately for other guests, and he should leave. What kind of treatment is that? We don't need Michelin-starred cuisine, but you're treated much better there. You really have to think twice about subjecting yourself to the way you're treated "at Willi's" again.

There is a lot of it!! Share it with two or three people. And the shell smells a bit and it was hard to eat.

The food was abysmal and overpriced; the chef must have forgotten the cheese spaetzle full of butter and cheese. The only positive thing is the service and the atmosphere.

I had dinner here on a Sunday evening with 2 others. It is a nice and especially cozy restaurant, typically German. The meat of the unlimited spareribs arrangement is not that tasty. There is little meat on it. Service is super friendly and helpful. All in all; definitely recommended for those who want to eat out in Stuttgart.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, I reserved a table with you to celebrate my birthday with family. The table setting was comfortable. The food was delicious and served with a quick bite. I liked this place. But I left disappointed! I wrote that I was celebrating my birthday, but I didn't hear a single kind word from my side. Many companies and organizations offered discounts and small gifts on that day. I chose your restaurant on such a festive day and made a mistake. The feeling of fun is gone. Service extraordinary bad. We asked for bill for check out. Total 4 of staffs pretend busy and looking for new customer order instead of handing and assist your bill payment . Finally, I waited for 25 minutes to settle my bill. Terrible service experience in such popular restaurant in Stuttgart. NOT recommend in this restaurant

The food is exceptional. Especially the Crispy pork knuckle and pork rib. Overall food are awesome. Service is slow due to not enough staffs.

We were there over Ascension Day. It was very nice, and the ambiance was phenomenal. The service was also very friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn't really impress us. The steak didn't really taste like the fillet we ordered, and it was well done instead of medium. It was also quite fatty. Nevertheless, we'd love to come back when we're in Stuttgart!

A great place featuring Swabian atmosphere and food, everything was very tasty... Went there twice during our short stay!

The restaurant is a highly standardized, yet nevertheless worthwhile institution. As for the food: the traditional, home-style menu leaves nothing to be desired. From the traditional schnitzel to the salad plate to the Swabian specialty plate: it has everything a culinary heart desires, especially for tourists. This is why it is undoubtedly a popular location for foreign tourists as well. The service is first-class. The quaint but friendly lady served our group just as it should: she shared a few jokes, acted like a buddy at times, was in a good mood, listened to our special requests and even fulfilled some of them, and said goodbye with a smile (also because we left a generous tip, of course). The ambiance is quite acceptable. I particularly recommend making a reservation in the gallery: it's a bit quieter and more private there, creating a cozy atmosphere. All in all, a restaurant that is absolutely recommended for tourists. It is important to reserve in advance so that you can also enjoy the tables in the gallery.

The food is ok but the service is too bad. Don’t count on them especially when you are a foreigner. The pork elbow is good value for money But the service staff is really bad Pushing to order No free water The pork elbow is big enough for two people to share But if two people only order one main course, they have to pay an extra table fee I saw others say that they will charge a 10% service fee, remember to refuse it

Not going back anytime soon. We remembered the restaurant differently. Things can change in a year... The onion roast beef for that price was bordering on a rip-off. The Zurich-style fillet tips were cold. After complaining, they were brought back somewhat warm, but the cream on the garnish had run. A side salad we ordered in advance from the buffet wasn't even brought and was then canceled. Only the pork knuckle with fries and coleslaw was very good, and good value for money.

Das Ochs‘n Willi ist einfach toll. Nirgendwo findet man so tolle Kellner, die unfassbar schnell (was auch an der top organisierten Küche liegt!) und gleichzeitig witzig und fröhlich sind. Man fühlt sich willkommen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Die Portionen riesig (kommt bloss hungrig…) und sehr sehr lecker. Wenn ich von Auswärts Besuch bekomme ist das OchsnWilli immer meine erste Wahl. Jeder meiner Besucher war begeistert. Ausländischen Freunden/Familie bestelle ich die Schweinshaxe. Ist jedes mal aufs Neue ein voller Erfolg.

This is one of the best places to eat meat in Stuttgart. I don't know much about other places, I am a tourist, but I do know lot for meat 🍖 and this place is worth visiting. Order the knuckle!!!

Characteristic place in the center of Stuttgart from the castle square. Inside furnished as a typical beer house. Large salad bar and excellent tasty typical local dishes and a selection of city beers. Also outdoor tables in the summer. Attentive, kind and helpful staff. I always feel good.

We were lucky enough to be able to sit in one of the barrels. Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service regularly took good care of us. Unfortunately I didn't like the spaetzle with my meal, too creamy, too runny. The lamb was good. Unfortunately the portions were too big for us. We would have loved to try the Kaiserschmarrn😀

5 stars - for the most absurd service experience of my life! The waiter completely reinterpreted the concept of 'hospitality': 10% mandatory tip, otherwise 'no card payment possible' - a claim that I have never heard even in Michelin restaurants. The highlight was his racist comedy when he made questionable political jokes based on my Asian appearance while smiling and making discriminatory comments. When we refused to tip, further pressure and harassment followed. After many years in Germany and traveling halfway around the world, I have to admit: I have never experienced such a perfect combination of blackmail, racism and bad service in any country. A truly memorable low point in German gastronomy.

Super delicious food!!!! I'm really happy that despite all the annoying kebab, Asian and pizza shops, there are still restaurants with traditional rural cuisine. I ordered a huge knuckle with homemade bread dumplings and a very good gravy. Of course it's a little more expensive but the portions are more than enough!!!! I can only recommend it!!!!!

I have always loved this restaurant and was therefore even more disappointed when I was there a few days ago. I was there for lunch with a friend. After a long wait a young waiter came - I think he was new. In the end, my friend finished her meal (ready-made spring rolls?) before we had the drinks and I had my meal. The young waiter at least apologized nicely for a "missing" drinks list. However, my Schwabentellet was out of the question, especially for the price. A tiny piece of thin roast, fried to the sole of a shoe, the roast pork is only half as big as it used to be, the Maultaschen was ok. Plus lots of spaetzle (. cheap) with a cream sauce that tasted like a bland finished product. It almost hurts me, but that was probably my last time at Ochs'n Willi.

The Grillpfändle was absolutely great! Staff and service really good and all in all just a big tip. No reservation necessary. It has a lot of tables. The food came pretty quickly too. Absolutely satisfied!

Ordered Swabian plates, and when you looked into the kitchen, the meat was simply put on the plates with your hands, so every plate was contaminated instead of putting on gloves, hygiene wasn't a priority there, the cutlery I got had a stick of herbs stuck on it. I know it was Easter and it was busy and the service was very stressed, but please people, you can't touch the meat with your hands like that. Please ask the Indian helpers in the kitchen to explain the hygiene measures. Spaetzle were cooked too soft and inedible. Too bad, that was my last visit.

Almost a year after coming to Germany, I ate Haksen with a friend who came to visit from Korea. The portion was huge... I ate like that and spent about 33 euros per person, including tip...! Haksen is so-so... salad is so-so... that's right... I can see that the store has already been taken over by Koreans as the staff greets them in Korean 🤣🤣

Traditional, Swabian, home-style food in a nice atmosphere right in the center of Stuttgart. Hosts who know how gastronomy works. Sufficient staff, qualified, friendly, fast. Food was served super quickly. Best potato salad ever. Many regular guests also speak for themselves. I was also impressed by the nicely designed outdoor smoking area, protected from the rain and equipped with patio heaters. The mini huts for eating in front of them are also very nice. Very good value for money. Hospitality is still very important here. Thanks for that!

We found it after visiting a beautiful square, it is very close. They have typical dishes from the area, the food is very good and at an affordable price, it is a good choice. You can eat in some barrels that they have outside, which as a curious thing is fine.

I was here with my family. There are five of us and we quickly found a place. The food came to the table super quickly, everything was fresh and very tasty. I can definitely recommend it.

A very cool cafe in the center of Stuttgart, near the square with fountains and the large palace. Nearby there is simply a gorgeous museum with treasures (royal 👑, scepter, two queen crowns, a collection of coins, jewelry and other interesting things). It takes at least two hours to get around everything, and then you need to refresh yourself somewhere. This cafe is a very suitable place. I have never had such a delicious non-alcoholic beer with a corn flavor. I recommend it. This was my first time eating soup with liver. Very tasty, light soup. Also here you can try traditional soup with dumplings (maultation). I also liked the lamb meat, and the broccoli with sauce was even tastier than the meat, due to the indescribably delicious sauce.

Ate there last Sunday. The fries were good, the rump steak I ordered was the worst I've ever been served. Very flat, not medium as ordered, but fully cooked, hard and dry. And this quality for 32 euros is annoying. Actually, I should have returned it. Too bad!

My kids chose this restaurant because of its funny name and we were not disappointed. Very child-friendly with its own children's map to color in. I personally found the prices for children to be very reasonable. Overall, the food was very tasty and definitely worth the price. A clear recommendation

Yesterday I went to Ochs'n Willi with friends for the very first time and since then I've been wondering why I've never been here before. Wow, I missed a lot! The food was very tasty, but what really stands out is the incredibly friendly service and treatment that I was able to experience last night. I have never felt more comfortable in a restaurant :) P.S.: Greetings to Hannes… I will definitely come back!

Were honestly disappointed today!! Staff: demotivated, female waiter, blonde had her mouth full while serving and was chewing!! The other was picking his teeth in public! Etc. Are you crazy?? They were also more concerned with themselves than with the guests! Openly read about colleagues and guests!! Sorry, it just doesn't work!! Who knows what will happen in secret!!!

On a Saturday evening we got a table even without a reservation. Our special requests were responded to in a friendly manner. The food came quickly even though it was busy. The salad bar is always delicious...especially the potato salad. The meat was good. The spaetzle was a bit bland and unfortunately had little bite.

The best and crispiest knuckle of my life!!! I was alone and was welcomed with open arms by the nice lady, on a Saturday evening. I felt like I was at home. Delicious food and good heart. I had the feeling that the guest here was one of them.

My family and I are from Brazil and, on a short trip to Stuttgart, we discovered this restaurant looking for typical German food and I highly recommend it! We loved it, the dishes were super well served and delicious!

The onion roast was rather disappointing despite costing around €33. The meat was in a sauce that reminded me more of soup. The spaetzle was watery and not a hit in terms of taste. However, our operation and overall service was excellent. The ambience is also good. It wasn't too loud, although it was busy at times.

The absolute tourist rip-off, you don't notice anything about Swabian cuisine here - it's more like "Bavarian warm-up cuisine". Saturday March 22, 2025 The taste of the food was okay 3.4 out of 5 stars. The ambience outside deserves 2 out of 5 stars, there is still room for improvement here. The service actually deserves 0 stars, but I still gave it 1 star. Starting with an eternal wait until someone came, even though the server was walking around outside several times (and not serving any guests). Then the unfriendliness personified. I haven't experienced something like that in a long time. As a customer, I expect to be served in a friendly manner. That's the least you can expect. The drinks took a full 10 minutes with little or hardly any activity. Then the food came to the table cold. At least the roast pork and fries should have been warm. Half was forgotten. As a host, you earn the most with drinks... When the drinks are empty, as a good waitress, you ask the guest if you can bring anything else. Error display. The crowning finale... We wanted to take the generous portion of salad with us. We were also given a mini plastic bowl, which was just enough for half of the leftover salad. A 2nd bowl was provided for an additional €1.50. On the one hand, we both know that leftovers in the kitchen are repackaged accordingly and you don't let the guest do this. To charge €3.00 for two mini plastic bowls is outrageous, both together cost €0.15. There was no tip for this overall service and that means something to me. The last time this negative record occurred was over 10 years ago. So definitely not a recommendation.

Very tasty food, nice service, not the last time

On Saturday evening after the CMT trade fair we drove into the city and were very happy to be able to get a place here. The service was extremely friendly and very quick despite the packed hut. We chose local food and were rewarded with a very tasty meal. The only thing that can be debated is whether the Dinkelacker beer is tasty or not.

The restaurant is located right in the city center and is rustically furnished. One point is deducted for the many plastic flowers. It's just not for me and rarely looks good. The service was good: nice, polite service. The quick service time is also great; there is very little time between ordering and food delivery. The food was okay, but not necessarily great for the prices. I had a salad plate with strips of knuckle and was only partially satisfied. The salad consisted of potato salad, lamb's lettuce, cress and iceberg lettuce with a few corn kernels. I would have liked a wider variety (coleslaw, pasta salad) since these are available in the salad bar. The sauce was ok, a bit too little for me. But then I was allowed to get more sauce from the salad bar. :) Cheese spaetzle were also ok, but not super good. The taste is very similar to Emmental. All in all, it's a nice, solid restaurant with a lot of choice, but in the end we weren't really convinced. It's a shame that you have to pay extra for a plastic take-away bowl.
