Nudelhaus in Göttingen

The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The drinks were at our table really quickly. Some of the dishes weren't as good as others.

I was in Göttingen for the first time on a business trip and was looking for a good restaurant. The noodle house was fabulous! The broccoli cream soup was delicious! Maybe a bit very creamy, but that's a matter of taste. And the pumpkin noodles were also delicious! In addition, the waitress was very friendly!

We actually always like to go to the Nudelhaus when we are in Göttingen. The pasta dishes and salads have always been really tasty. But the schnitzel we had today wasn't cooked through in the middle at a thickness of about 1.5 cm. Apart from the fact that the “little schnitzel” was about 2 cm thick. Probably just quickly thrown in the deep fryer. My tortellini was great, I wouldn't recommend schnitzel after today. It was also relatively cool there right at opening time.

We were there on Sunday evening at dinner time and despite the restaurant being full, we managed to get a seat for two. The food was very tasty, but I would have liked my spaghetti carbonara from a noodle house to have an "original" prepared sauce and not a cream sauce. The service was good and friendly, I will come again!

Had lunch there with my daughter yesterday. Very happy with everything. The food was delicious, the service was great and I felt comfortable too. I'll be back! 🩵

How do I start something like this?? So we were in this establishment on a relatively quiet evening, which was highly recommended to us by friends, and we waited hungrily for our food, full of anticipation. So let’s get to the lasagna… In short, disappointed. The bechamel sauce was apparently substituted with a kind of spicy cream cheese and we found mushrooms in the good piece, which, to my taste, had no place there. However, the ambience and the drinks as well as the service were very pleasant. I hope for an improved dining experience next time in Göttingen because I think “das Nudelhaus” deserves a second chance… Until then !

5 stars – An all-round perfect experience! We ate at Nudelhaus last Friday before an event in Gießen and it was the first restaurant in a long time where we felt really comfortable again. We were warmly welcomed upon entering and received excellent service throughout our stay. The entire service staff was attentive, courteous and simply friendly throughout - no trace of hectic, unfriendly or annoyed behavior, as one unfortunately experiences in many other restaurants. The food was another highlight: fresh, tasty, generous portions and, despite the quick serving time, wonderfully hot. We were more than full and enjoyed every bite. At the end, we thanked you personally at the counter for the great service and the great food - unfortunately it's far too rare to experience such positive things these days. While in many restaurants it's often all about speed and the staff seems stressed or unmotivated, the complete opposite was the case here. A big compliment to the team – we will definitely be back!

A really nice restaurant in Göttingen. I was there today to see for myself how good the noodle house is. Without a reservation, the three of us were assigned a place quite quickly. I decided on the pumpkin tagliatelle, which was in front of me pretty quickly. It really tasted very good. Unfortunately the portion was quite small, not for tall men. Unfortunately, two of us had already finished eating and the third person was still eating. Nevertheless, the two plates that were ready were taken away. I personally really didn't like that. The ambience of the store is also getting old, maybe that's how it should be, but my chair rocked and squeaked a lot, which was quite annoying. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant because the food still tasted very good.

We ate there last night. It was very tasty! The homemade ravioli with nut and cheese filling are really an absolute recommendation!! There was also delicious wine from Hesse and Italy. It is really a recommendation in Göttingen.

Das Gericht hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Wollen noch andere Gerichte probieren. Es gibt viel Auswahl.

Ambience dusty and old. The food is good for that. Price/performance ratio works. I wouldn't eat there with larger groups because it's just too small. Maximum 4 people.

It's been a long time since I've been to the noodle house. As I remembered, the food is delicious and varied. The service is friendly and attentive. The ambience hasn't changed. The furniture is older, but makes the restaurant look very rustic and cozy.

It's all great. In one week I have gone 3 times.

Popped in here without a reservation on a Saturday evening and were sat within 5 minutes. All the staff and very friendly and efficient, the service was good with very little waiting. I ordered a Pizza Gaucho with what was supposed to be seasoned beef strips. However the pizza arrived with pieces of large thinly sliced beef with very little seasoning. The pizza tasted OK but was really nothing special at all. Other than that, nice restaurant, super nice staff but the food is just OK.

Quickly popped in without a reservation and were sat in 5 minutes! All the staff are friendly and the service was good with very little waiting. Ordered the Pizza Gaucho with beef strips, paprika and mushrooms. I expected smaller strips of meat but the meat was huge on the pizza. Pizza tasted good but was nothing special as the beef wasn't very well seasoned. However, all in all, good restaurant, great food, great staff.

Old-fashioned, beautiful and inviting atmosphere in combination with friendly staff, super tasty food and relatively short waiting times, simply great!

Our daughter recommended this restaurant to us. It's probably very popular in Göttingen, at least it was very well attended both at lunchtime and in the evening. Accordingly, it was very loud. Food was a bit bland, I doubt whether the sauce was actually homemade. But the price was right. Unfortunately, my second wine order got lost in the hustle and bustle. All in all, I would say, if you want to get full, you've come to the right place.

Very nice in the garden. Food was top notch.

Once and never again, there were four of us and we got a table straight away and everything was fine. Then we had two schnitzels and both tasted and smelled like fish. We addressed it and actually got a new one. Unfortunately this was the same and also tasted like fish. Then we had something vegetarian and unfortunately there was ham in it. It's a real shame because no one even apologized for it.

Anlässlich einer Zwischenübernachtung zufällig entdeckt. Die Nudelgerichte sehr lecker, reich an Zutaten. Das Tiramisu mit 4 Sorten Obst serviert. Wirt und Service freundlich und höflich. Für unsere kleine, schwerstbehinderte Tochter im Rollstuhl sofort Platz geschaffen und ganz leise gesprochen, um sie nicht zu wecken. Wir sind sehr angetan und kommen gerne wieder.

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of indulging in a delightful meal that included pizza, pasta, and desserts. The service was impressively swift, setting the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The pizza was cooked to absolute perfection. The pasta was luxuriously creamy, and the desserts? Simply divine. The ambiance inside was equally impressive, providing a serene atmosphere that allowed for intimate conversation. It was truly a memorable dining experience.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht! Das Personal war zwar sehr freundlich, aber das Essen... Die bestellten Bruschetta wurden gar nicht serviert. Die hausgemachten Spaghetti Carbonara waren Nudeln in weißer Tütensauce. Auf Reklamation wurde mir gesagt, dass echte Carbonara zu lange dauern würde... Frechheit, der Laden war leer. Fazit: Nie wieder!!!

These were some of the tastiest noodles I have ever eaten! The whole thing in a beautifully designed courtyard under a large chestnut tree with very nice hosts. Five-star rating incoming! :)

We were here in the summer and were able to sit in the beautiful little courtyard. The service was friendly and quick and the food was delicious. We'd love to come back.

Price-performance is completely okay. Unfortunately, two meals from our group of 9 were forgotten and therefore not served with the rest. The waiter picked up all the food beforehand and wrote it down on a piece of paper. So two people had to wait for their food while the rest of the group was already ready. They apologized but with someone like that we thought we had everything on the table. I think you could offer something like a drink on the house or something like that as an apology.

Still my favourite restaurant in Göttingen after 35 years

A great restaurant! The noodles are homemade and taste fantastic! Large portions, fair prices, fast service, top quality. I always enjoy coming here when I'm in Göttingen. The beer garden in the courtyard is particularly nice in summer: you sit under an old chestnut tree, lots of flair. The only drawback: it is quite loud inside.

Quite inconspicuous from the outside, but the inner courtyard is cozy when the weather is nice. Food was very good and tasty. Service quick and friendly, what more could you want. So an absolute recommendation.

Service unprofessionell und unfreundlich. Ich habe noch nie so schlecht gegessen. Die Nudeln, zuvor schon durch den Service als " schmecken nicht" betitelt, schwammen im Pesto. Was die Karte versprach, spiegelte sich nicht im Essen wieder. Die Pizzen war TK-Waren Niveau. Auf Unzufriedenheit des Gastes wurde nicht eingegangen. Es wurde einfach ignoriert ! Das Gefühl von Egal-Haltung mit der Bemerkung Beschwerden beim Chef abzugeben, der nicht da war, wurde bestätigt. Wir kommen nicht wieder und empfehlen es nicht.

I ordered "homemade" tortellini with Gorgonzola sauce. Unfortunately, tortellini were not homemade, but a mediocre finished product. The sauce consists of cream with Gorgonzola. For around €15, that's cheeky! Two stars because the service was good.

A friendly, rustic restaurant with lots of homemade pasta and a great beer garden in the back yard. I didn't find the noodles as tasty as in other places that serve homemade noodles, but it was okay. Of course it's a matter of taste. I really liked the atmosphere and you are right in the center of Göttingen.

We ate inside due to the weather. The service is great, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is homey and cozy 😁 We were there quite early and were able to get a seat without a reservation. If you want to eat there after 6 p.m., you should definitely make a reservation. I can recommend the noodle house 100% 😍

Yet another proof that you should never trust food reviews in Germany, from the reviews it seems good, but if you are Italian do not go here, the smell of garlic was overwhelming, pasta is nothing like in Italy, we got one carbonara and one pesto rosso, carbonara was swimming in a broth made with God knows what, seemed like hollandaise sauce. Pesto rosso had so much garlic in it that eating a single bite was like eating one clove of raw garlic. Stay away from this. When we paid and left the full plate nobody asked us if something was wrong. Dinner ruined and 40€ wasted.

The ambience was great and the service was also great. Food was more than disappointing. Tomato soup tasted like canned soup with a rubbery piece of white bread. Pizza tastes like a frozen pizza. Noodles nothing special. Unfortunately no longer recommended.

They actually refused to try two white wines, which has never happened to me before. When I commented that it was bad service, I was rudely told that I should look for another restaurant. I did this.

Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants in Göttingen. Sehr leckeres Essen. Immer mal neue Gerichte. Gute Getränke und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Der Biergarten hinterm Haus ist super schön im Sommer. Am besten Reservieren, aber auch ohne haben wir nach spätestens 20 min einen Platz bekommen.
