The food itself is okay by fast-food standards. But the service is terrible. I don't expect to be treated with kid gloves, but a certain level of friendliness or professionalism would be appreciated. First, I waited ten minutes behind another person in the lunchtime line just to have my order taken. The employee reacted to my simple order of a salmon burger meal with complete annoyance and a sense of being overwhelmed. The burger patty was then handled without gloves, which is absolutely unhygienic. "Get your drink back there!" Even at the register, the tone was unfriendly and brusque. I almost apologized for seeming to be a nuisance as a customer. Overall, the atmosphere among the staff seems very poor, as the employees were constantly shouting and complaining at each other. They really need some communication training.

20251125_At the Nordsee restaurant in the Viktualienmarkt, there is an additional area for well-to-do customers with sparkling wine and oysters. Otherwise, the standard offerings are available; due to space requirements, there are two counters and two bread roll sales areas.

Unfortunately, not recommended. Upon entering the restaurant, we had the impression that the staff was very tired and unmotivated. The service seemed rather indifferent, so we briefly considered leaving. However, out of politeness, we didn't want to cancel our order. While seated at the table, we continued to feel uncomfortable. The waiter, moving around the room, cleared the tables in a somewhat rough and careless manner. This unfortunately contributed to an unpleasant atmosphere. For a restaurant in such a central location, I would have expected significantly more professionalism and attention. I personally will not be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend it. A real shame.

It can be said that this is a small restaurant with a buffet counter, each person will take a tray and go to the counter to show the staff to get the dishes they like. This tray will be placed on a sliding bar, after taking the food, they will slide along this bar to get water and go to the payment counter. The banyan trees here are arranged in the form of long tables, so whenever there is an empty space, they can sit down. After finishing the meal, everyone will clean their own tray and keep the place clean, so it is very convenient, there are almost no staff outside. This is a model that would be very suitable if brought back to Vietnam.

An excellent option for quality food in the heart of Munich. With quality food, prepared right in front of you, and impeccable service, we had one of the best experiences in the city.

Ordered a Bismarck herring baguette yesterday. The baguette roll was probably from the day before. It was very hard and dry. Terrible quality for almost 6 euros! Never again!

I regularly buy food both at the store and order it at the "bar". I really like that it's always fresh (I even saw how they check and control the fish quality and freshness!The only big problem that prevents me from going there more often is the personnel - specifically the "chef" who is extremely loud and behaves like he's doing everybody a favor (doesn't matter what you're asking for you'll always get "no" from him as a first response). Also young lady at the fish counter (Anna) behaved quite obnoxiously today. Was very slow (took her 5 minutes to pack sth. into a plastic bag), and then when my turn came, I asked to weigh some shrimps for me. When I saw her yaking a plastic bag to put them inside, I asked her not to use it and make it packed in a box. She pretended that she doesn't hear me and still was wrapping them in this soft bag. When I finally raised my voice and asked to transfer it to a bag, she just threw them in it and left with really annoyed face at me! I consider such service unacceptable and will not come back again there

You can grab fast-food style fish and chips, or tasty seafood baguettes, all for a very reasonable price. We loved our meals so much that we went back two days in a row with our kids and everyone enjoyed it. It's a great place for a delicious and well-priced seafood meal. The good thing is you can sit in the restaurant and eat food from the takeaway!

Always fresh and delicious. Only open until 8:00 PM. It's a kind of cafeteria with live cooking. I love this place and go there often with friends and family.

The market is really great and beautiful. But the food at Nordsee wasn't exactly great. The staff was unfortunately very unfriendly. I'll be back once, but I won't be going again.

The location isn't exactly ideal for a nice view... The food was cold, warm, and the service consisted of a lady who gives you a fish sandwich or something else.

My wife was poisoned by the fried fish she ate on September 2nd. She couldn't leave her hotel room for three days. I bought 100 grams of fish in ice. My wife bought the fried fish, which was still warm in the glass display case. She bought a menu.

Very busy, especially on Fridays and weekends. Service is slow, long lines, but I got in line relatively quickly. The crab and fish were really good, better than other places.

If you like fish and seafood, this is the place for you. The lunch specials are great, as are the regular items. Your palate will be happy. The service is friendly and offers good advice on the selection of dishes and drinks. The beautiful, simple ambiance rounds out the visit. You'll definitely want to stop by again.

Food was not terrible but not special. Shrimp was dry, salmon had a lot of little fishbones. But most of all, the blonde lady at the counter was very brusque and clearly not happy to be there. We also observed her being borderline rude with other customers who didn't speak German. The other guy at the counter was nicer and more patient.

Very good and fresh fish. A bit more expensive, especially the drinks, but still very tasty. The fish sandwiches are particularly good.

Unfortunately, the employee isn't trained in using the cash register, or the cash register system is too complicated. Everything else is pretty slow, too. The line is long, but serving a single customer takes forever, even if they're just buying a single fish sandwich. Advice to management: If you want sales, change this.

Fried fish.....to kill the worm, nothing more.

Went to Nordsee today. Tried the paella – honestly a 2/10. It didn’t resemble paella at all. It felt more like a seafood/fish soup with rice than an actual paella. The oysters were about a 6/10 – not bad, but definitely not as fresh as expected. The octopus, though, was a solid 10/10 – super tasty and cooked really well. The chef was nice and helpful, especially since we don’t speak German – he gave us some good advice in English. At times, he came off as a bit sharp or arrogant, but overall he was okay. If we were to go back, it would be only for the octopus. As for the place itself – it’s decent for a street market in the city center, but honestly, a bit overpriced.

There are so many fish products that it can drive fish lovers like me crazy. I had a salmon burger, it was legendary. The price is reasonable.

Third visit to Munich, again a long layover. I took the opportunity to stroll around and eat at the market again. This time I went to the fish restaurant, the largest stall in the market. It's open very early, so it's no problem going at practically any time. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and fish dishes, and there are two areas to order. I chose the Bisckmark sandwich, Chancellor Otto's favorite. It has Sauerlappen herring, onion, pickle, and parsley. The herring was delicious; I'm quite a fan of herring; it goes wonderfully with other items. The baguette was fine, although since it's kept in a cold storage room, it loses a bit. If they made it fresh, the sandwich would be better on bread. The size is about 15 cm. Summary: For something other than meat. Price: €7.23 with a small bottle of water. Rating: 6.7

The giant plaice for 18 euros was completely burnt on the underside. The taste of coal lingered in my mouth for hours. The fries were so dry, you could only eat the middle. I had to leave half because I couldn't even put a fork in it.

There are many types of fresh fish and seafood available. If you wish, you can buy it and take it home, or you can cook it and eat it. I think what I ate was fresh and delicious, especially the octopus bug was very good.

We were at North Sea a few minutes ago and unfortunately we weren't happy. Even though we had been waiting for a few minutes, the gentleman did not serve us. Instead he served a lady who would have been next to us. When we asked him about it, he treated us rudely. This was very disappointing and had a very negative impact on our visit. Left immediately.

Unfortunately, employee Sherzad is not great at serving customers in the right order. We stood there for a few minutes until he came out of the kitchen relaxed. Basically it wouldn't be a problem if he didn't first serve the girls who came after us. We told him we've been waiting a lot longer. Then he says we have to wait because he has to get the girls drinks before we order our food. That means we have to wait for half a dozen people who came after us. Absolute nonsense...we left

It used to be my favorite seafood in Germany but the quality went really bad. I am not going back again unfortunately.

I don't speak German and thus simply ordered by pointing. The lady was very helpful and process was efficient. I got an excellent piece of fried fish, potato chips and spargel I think it's called; looks like white asparagus in a creamy sauce. Awesome food! Sorry I forgot to take photos.

É uma comida leve e num preço bom pra um ponto turístico. Dá pra fazer um rango rápido pq é uma espécie de fast food. O pint de cerveja tava 4.79. Não estava muito cheio.

It's a light meal at a good price (14.79 combo with a coke) for a tourist spot. You can get a quick bite to eat because it's a kind of fast food. So, take it as such. A pint of beer was 4.79. It wasn't very crowded.

It is a chain fish restaurant with a clean dining environment and a good atmosphere. The meals are also quite delicious. You can choose main dishes and side dishes. Although the price is really sky-high compared to Taiwan, it is still acceptable in Germany. A meal for four people costs more than 60 euros, especially a drink which seems to cost 2 or 3 euros.

The service provided by the lady is terrible. The only saving grace is the different food. But I won't be back to receive such bad service.

Can you save food cold unfriendly service

Unfortunately, the newly offered salmon burger is ice cold and therefore hardly edible. At the checkout it appears €4.79 for a baguette, but the correct price was €7.99. Someone is lining their own pockets here.

Fish and potatoes are oily zero zero zero

In this North Sea there is also a part of the room where there is more exclusive food. I ate the new salmon burger in the normal North Sea section as a menu for €12. The guacamole and vegetables were very fresh. The salmon patty was really a whole piece of salmon, I was very pleasantly surprised. All in all the burger was good.

Wir waren noch nie essen und haBen ein solches arrogantes und unfreundliches Personal erlebt. Wir wollten mit 9 Personen essen und es kam schon bei der Speisenauswahl zum Eklat. Ein Gast sagte uns schon, dass die Kellner nicht gut drauf seien. Dies hat sich mehr als bestätigt! Die Kellner sind uns beide ungebührlich angegangen sodass wir sofort das Lokal verlassen haben.

The smaller branch of the "Nordsee Fischhalle", later just North Sea, opened in 1898, of the "Deutsche Dampffischerei-Gesellschaft Nordsee", founded in Bremen in 1896. There are three much better fishmongers at Viktualienmarkt than the North Sea. So go here to eat something on site? Not really either. The fish dishes on offer are no longer worth their significantly increased price. Things were different a good 10 years ago.

Ordered fish & chips. The fries are not tasty but the fish is good. Service: I ordered via Uber Eats and the lady from the new federal states simply canceled my order for no reason and dismissed me with a “bye bye”. This flippant and disrespectful behavior cannot be tolerated.

Since the other two fish shops on the Viktualienmarkt were full, I thought I would try a fish soup at the North Sea. The soup was rather tasteless and not very hot. I expected more. The ambience is familiar, like a kind of fast food restaurant. The service wasn't unfriendly, but it wasn't very engaging. Shopping for something is ok, but not eating there. There are better alternatives.

One of the reasons I come to Munich is to eat here. The bar was closed this evening. We couldn't drink champagne. Tomorrow is my luck. Everyone who loves seafood should definitely come here.

Horrible and worst customer service in Germany ever! A tall guy with black hair waiter was extremely rude and bad! He was inside that round counter with drinks inside the counter. We a family of 4 people ordered three meals as one of us not wanting to eat, we tried to grab 4 chairs to sit together, he was kind of shouting: "why took all his chairs?!" I asked if he was not together with the restaurant, he said yes, they were same restaurant but we ordered three meals we should take three chairs! What a joke! He was not in the right mind and should be fired with this kind of thinking and attitude to customers! A nice day ruined by that black hair tall waiter!!

War schlecht, unappetitlich und unfreundlich. Unhygienisch bis oben, Taube hat keinen Angestellten interessiert bis eine Kundin darauf angesprochen hat. Im Endeffekt hat die Kundin selbst den größten Einsatz gezeigt die Taube zu entfernen.

excellently prepared fish and side dishes

Me and my parents ate at this restaurant around 7pm when we were in vacation in Munich. A lot of the local eateries had already closed around this time, so we were glad to see this place still open. We ordered a salmon with rice pilaf combo that was pretty good. We also had a variety of drinks to choose from. Overall it was a good place to eat around the late hours.

We got a cone of fish and chips here. There was a slight queue, they only give you three small pieces of fish which I think was a little unfair and an okay portion of chips, the price is okay however considering the portion size you should get more. This isn’t ’proper fish and chips’ like they do in the Uk.. the chips aren’t the same! Was slightly put off that it was all sitting under a hot plate, but it still tasted good.

Great atmosphere. Fresh and tasty fish with side dish. Fast service. But there are lots of dirty dishes from previous visitors on the tables. I had to find a table. There are no napkins on the tables. And of course I would like to receive a receipt for my lunch I paid around 16 euros for lunch
