The food is a definite highlight. The appetizers and main courses were very tasty, but the prices were "too high" (we each had a soft drink, a large bottle of water, a pizza each, and a small appetizer, and paid over €100). Unfortunately, the service was disastrous. There was no attention paid to the guests, nor were any requests handled. (We had to get the salt and pepper shakers ourselves; we had to announce twice that we wanted to pay, and the staff wasn't entirely clear on our table assignments.) The three of us were seated at a really small table (probably for two), and we were practically bumping elbows in each other's faces. The corner was also the darkest in the restaurant, with no lighting... not a pleasant place to sit. The noise level was also "quite high." I experienced a different level of service about seven weeks prior. We were a group of eight then, and I didn't notice anything negative, but the restaurant was only about a third full. Yesterday every seat was taken.....You simply need to employ more service staff or not allocate all the tables if there's a shortage.

The food was okay and something different. But it was very loud, even though not all the tables were occupied. For us, it was also a rather large, uncomfortable space, not the kind of place that comes to mind when I think of Nonna's.

The food was really delicious and the price-performance ratio was okay. Unfortunately, we had to wait about 45 minutes for our pizza. I found it disappointing that there was no attempt to win us back after this long wait. Furthermore, there was some chaos in the service – even though the restaurant wasn't full, there were problems with the order of orders: some guests who ordered later received their food much earlier.

We went there in the evening with some friends and had delicious pizza, pasta, and cocktails. It was really good. The service was very friendly, our order was taken quickly, and the food arrived incredibly fast (we were genuinely surprised by how quickly it came, even though it was very busy). The pizzas were absolutely delicious, and the pasta was fantastic too. All in all, we were very satisfied and will definitely come back!

I entered the restaurant at 8:43 p.m. I sat down and sorted my things. Then the server came and told me to quickly choose something from the menu as the kitchen was about to close. So I did, and I chose a pasta dish. It was served to me after only three minutes. Consequently, it was lukewarm. I decided not to complain, as I was hungry. The servers were sitting next to me on their break, their feet propped up on the bench. When I had finished eating, three more guests arrived. I asked the waiter if they could have something to eat. He said yes. I then pointed out that I had been rushed to order something 20 minutes earlier. How could that be? He tried to explain something to me that made absolutely no sense. I then asked for the bill. I had to pay €16.90, and I wanted to pay by card, which wasn't a problem. However, the waitress asked if she could round it up to €17. I said yes, but I didn't understand the reasoning behind it. The ambiance was also worth mentioning. The lighting was cozy, but the noise level from the other guests was so incredibly high that it was practically unbearable. In short: I won't be going there again.

A great Italian restaurant with exceptionally friendly service. The food was fantastic—especially the pizza—and as a special highlight, we were even allowed to bring our own birthday cake to enjoy there. Highly recommended!

Yeah, fine. The food is delicious. The craftsmanship is good. Price/performance ratio is okay. It's just packed on Friday nights. It's not a big deal. But the noise level with the exposed concrete ceilings, glass, and bare walls is unbearable. In another review, the owner claims it's just "livelier"... Nope. It's almost 100 dB in there. I feel sorry for the employees who have to stand there in the noise all day. Maybe the owner should get some advice from an acoustician if sound panels aren't an option. So, the food is good, but the atmosphere is more like a loud, alcohol-focused bar.

Eating at Nonna's with friends.... A friendly welcome, our order was taken quite quickly, but unfortunately, what came, or didn't come, wasn't so great. We waited over 45 minutes for two pizzas and one pasta dish. After asking, we were told, "Yes, the food is coming right away." The two pizzas did arrive, but a friend had to wait another 10 minutes for the pasta. Even when we asked, we were told, "Yes, the food is coming right away." That wasn't acceptable for us, especially since the table was reserved again from 8 p.m. The food, specifically the pizza and pasta, were very tasty... although the pasta portion was quite small. The noise level was unacceptable. Okay, a full restaurant isn't exactly quiet, but we really didn't like the fact that you can barely have a conversation, and then there's music playing that no one can understand anyway. We will, however, go back to Nonna's and look forward to more pleasant surprises....

Unfortunately, it's not an authentic pizza and it's slightly overpriced. The pizza dough should be reconsidered, as it tends to get soggy. Acoustically, the place is extremely loud at peak times, making it hard to understand the person sitting opposite you (a vicious circle: you speak louder, and the person next to you does the same). Tip: acoustic panels on the ceiling. The service was always attentive, and it was customary to be met at the door to be assigned a table and reminded of the two-hour rule. There's room for improvement—but it's also nice that there's still room to grow.

The food was good. Unfortunately, it's so loud that the neighbors can barely hear anything. The service was friendly, and reserving a table worked perfectly.

"Soul food" fits the name. Truly delicious and innovative pizzas. There are also good vegan/vegetarian options available. There are some great combinations you won't find anywhere else. The atmosphere is also very cozy, even if it was a bit warm when we were there. All in all, top-notch!

A great new discovery for me. The service was phenomenally good and very attentive. The salad was very fresh and delicious. I had spaghetti limone, which was very, very good. A wonderful evening in a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. Ate there again after 2 years. 2 out of 4 people experienced severe nausea and vomiting afterward. Be careful of the oil offered at the table. That probably caused the nausea. Unfortunately, the owner never responded to my email about the nausea caused by the oil. Paying over 8 euros for a mini slice of tiramisu, even if it was beautifully presented, is really too much for me. The pizza was still delicious. I had a tuna salad that consisted of tasteless tomatoes and a can of tuna. The onion rings were the tastiest thing, served without any dressing. Tasted awful. We were disappointed.

It's not a place where you can sit comfortably and eat and maybe have a drink afterward. We were there with 14 people, and everyone ate, some with an appetizer and a main course. Everyone had at least two drinks, some with cocktails. Nevertheless, after two hours, we were asked to leave the place so the next people could come in.

The gluten-free pizza is truly delicious. It can't be compared to the "real" pizza, which is truly amazing. The surcharge is quite steep, but still reasonable. Unfortunately, it was already uncomfortably warm inside and quite loud. The service could have asked for more orders; we certainly would have ordered a bit more. Reserving a table online was seamless. Unfortunately, they don't accept reservations on-site on weekends (the lady was really rude), but they do accept them online, which made us feel a bit fooled.

What I found strange is that if you have a reservation it is only valid for 2 hours

Please don't order salad here, it's just not good. You're welcome to eat a pasta dish (even homemade) or a pizza here; you'll be happy with that; it really tastes very good. But not with the salad. Unfortunately, there are no vegan dressings available. The vinaigrette dressing contains honey. The salt, unfortunately, isn't 100% fresh; brown spots are visible on the cut edges. (It can't be the dressing, because there wasn't any on it.) Unfortunately, there are no creative salt dressings: Man, hemp, oregano, arugula dressing, mango basil—you have so many options for making great salt dressings. Unfortunately, this opportunity is wasted here. The salad was unfortunately very dry, because, for example, the inside of the cucumber was unfortunately no longer there and had been thrown away. The mushrooms were cold, no seasoning, but at least they were fried. The server did offer to add something to the salad, which he did (cucumber and tomatoes). However, I had to pay extra for these as well. The containers with olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper were unfortunately not clean. Every salt, even in system restaurants like Dean & David, is worlds better, and they also have better dressings.

Sitting outside is nicer 😉. The restaurant is located in a square with several restaurants, making it lively. Parking in the parking garage is advisable, as the surrounding parking spaces are in high demand.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday around 12:30 p.m., shortly after opening. The ambiance is truly fantastic. It's beautifully decorated. The seating is very comfortable both inside and outside. However, the staff didn't seem quite in work mode at first. We ended up taking our own menus since no one came to us. Although there were only a few customers, we had to wait quite a while for our drinks and pizzas. The staff were friendly, but a bit disorganized. We had booked "Cityfor2" and wanted to try the restaurant. Overall, the food was okay, but the long wait times and low occupancy unfortunately somewhat dampened the positive overall impression.

Unbelievable. The first and last time. Despite having a reservation, we were told we had to wait another 10 minutes because it was too busy. The 10 minutes turned into 35 minutes. They did offer a free drink while we waited, but even that wasn't ready until we were seated. And we also had to wait for the food. A total of 50 minutes!! Oh, and they couldn't even manage to serve the pizzas at the same time. The pizzas were delicious, but the service and everything else was a complete disaster! Not recommended unless you have a lot of patience.

We went there yesterday on my daughter's recommendation and were kindly given a table for three people without a reservation. Our first impression of the place was positive, until the moment we sat down: the chairs were very uncomfortable, which I think could only be remedied with seat cushions. Conversation was difficult due to the noise. I was surprised by the variety and creativity of the dishes. We decided and ordered quite quickly. After about 10 minutes, the drinks came, and after another 10, the drinks were unfortunately incorrect. The pizzas didn't arrive for over an hour, and even then, they weren't the right ones. We declined the offer to correct it because we just wanted to eat. When we paid by card, we were only given a Visa receipt. Since the amount seemed too high, I asked for the bill, which I couldn't retrieve, but the amount was corrected. All in all, it was a very busy Saturday evening, which is forgivable, but we didn't have a pleasant experience, which certainly had something to do with our server.

So if you're really hungry, stay away from this place. If you're in a hurry, stay away from this restaurant. Everything just takes forever and drags on. The portions are small and tasteless, at least the spaghetti con Alici alla Siciliana that I ordered was.

We were here on a Monday lunchtime. It was quite empty. The weather was nice, so we sat outside. The service was very friendly. We had a spinach pizza and octopus. Both were delicious. We added the lunch special with a soft drink and coffee for €5.50. For dessert, we had tiramisu and tartufo, both also very delicious! I like the slightly different selection of pizzas offered here. I can highly recommend Nonna's - definitely stop by and pick out something delicious 😋

We went there today as a family with two children. The food was excellent! The service was just as good. I especially liked how child-friendly the owner is. He was very attentive and even "created" a booster seat for my daughter because she found her chair too low. I thought that was so great!

A tasteless experience! The bruschetta was completely flavorless, with heirloom tomatoes, crushed arugula, and sprinkles of Parmesan cheese. The apple spritzer was too watery. To pay, we had to get up twice and ask the staff for the bill, and wait a good 20 minutes! (It wasn't busy!) All good reasons not to come back!

We were there around 12 noon today, August 4, 2025, and wanted to reserve a table for next Friday for a birthday party. The lady who took the reservation said it wouldn't be possible on the weekend evening except with special requests (whatever that means). We just said that it would be difficult to invite people without a guarantee, as we have the problem that we have someone who is completely intolerant to gluten. She then said we could just come on a whim. I didn't understand the problem, that there aren't many restaurants that offer gluten-free food. It's a real shame how they treat people with disabilities, especially since they offer food for them, which is why we wanted to go there. It's a real shame ☹️ So I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. We also discovered when we got home that we could reserve a table for that evening. What an irony.

This was my first time at Nonna's and I was very pleased with my visit. I made an online reservation that same evening, and there were no problems. The service was really excellent; the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was also very tasty; the crust was nice and thin and the edges were super fluffy. The only downside was the noise level; we were seated relatively close to the center, and it was quite loud. Otherwise, a worthwhile visit. I would come back again. 😊

We ordered 5 dishes. 3 pizzas were good, 1 not so good. The carbonara was the worst we've ever had (no flavor of its own, but it tasted strongly of pepper and was very saturated with sauce). It was very, very loud, and the chairs were uncomfortable. After a long wait for the food, we ate quickly and left immediately. The atmosphere was not inviting. The tables were so large that it was difficult to have a conversation because of the noise, as you were sitting so far away from the person sitting opposite.

The evening at Nonnas started off beautifully and then, unfortunately, came to a very unpleasant and abrupt end :/ First of all, I should mention that it's a very nice, modern restaurant with an appealing menu. The food selection is diverse and not like your average Italian restaurant. I have mixed feelings about the service. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food, even though the restaurant was very busy, but I didn't find the service particularly friendly. The man who checked our reservation and assigned us a table seemed annoyed. The server was trying hard but very stressed. The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. But after I had ordered another drink a few minutes earlier and had just looked at the dessert menu, we were informed that the table would be available in 15 minutes and we would have to leave. So, after the delicious, fresh food and the great atmosphere, the evening ended up with a rather sour aftertaste :/

I've been here several times and I always enjoy coming back – the pizza is simply top-notch! You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavor is always impressive. So far, I've only tried the pizzas, but I highly recommend them all. The service is always friendly and attentive – even on busy days when things get a bit hectic, the team remains attentive and welcoming. The location is super central, but not too noisy. The interior is beautifully designed, but some more comfortable furniture outside would have been the icing on the cake. Overall, a really good Italian restaurant that I'm happy to recommend.

I recently visited this restaurant after seeing (relatively) high ratings on Google Maps (4.2/5) and another platform (4.9/5). Unfortunately, my visit was a huge disappointment, and I sincerely wonder how these ratings come about and why the restaurant and outdoor terrace were almost completely full. When I went inside and sat down at a table, I got up after about 20 seconds because the chair was so incredibly uncomfortable – I've never experienced anything like it. It almost gives you a herniated disc... unfortunately, the second/other seat was just as bad! I decided to stay anyway, as I was very hungry and had a reservation. I ordered a pizza with honey, figs, and walnuts for €16.90. The pizza was served almost cold and had too few toppings. In my opinion, there should have been at least double the toppings – especially for that price. The dough was also really bad: a high, thick crust and a thin base that was almost impossible to cut. The pizza tasted okay, though. I actually wanted to order water, but €2.90 for 0.2L was too much for me. In the end, I opted for an apple mint lemonade for €4.50 – a simple 0.33L bottle. All in all, the value for money at this "restaurant" is almost nonexistent, and this pizza is unfortunately among my top 3 worst pizzas I've ever eaten (number 3). I advise everyone to stay away from this place and will definitely not return. The service was good, though – friendly, and I was served quickly. But unfortunately, the rest of the pizza was so bad that I can't give it more than one star. I wish you all the best anyway and hope you make positive changes.

The interior was very well done, and the ambiance was just right. Unfortunately, the pasta wasn't seasoned at all and tasted rather mediocre, and quite expensive for the price. The pizza, on the other hand, was very, very tasty, and the servers were all very friendly, but sometimes a bit too much.

Saturday afternoon in the city, the sun is shining – and instead of heading into the hustle and bustle, I decided to relax at Nonna's. A quiet atmosphere away from the crowds, pleasantly chilled and relaxed. The service is friendly and attentive, and the food (especially the pizza!) is very good, even if the price is a bit "salty." Unfortunately, I lose one star for the mess tin, which isn't full or clean, and the high chair, which was dusty and dirty, which unfortunately happens quite often in most restaurants of this type. Nevertheless, overall, I absolutely recommend it for a relaxed lunch break with good pizza!

There were four of us there that evening and we had made a reservation! It was already quite full, which was a good thing! We were shown to our tables right away! Due to the many tables, the restaurant is quite cramped! There are also comfortable seats at the edges! When the restaurant is full, getting up can sometimes involve the next table 🙃 The service 💐💐 was always very friendly, even though the restaurant was full and the outdoor area was full too! The dishes were all very appetizingly presented and generously topped!👌 The pizza with Parmesan cream is incredibly delicious 😋 and worth the calories 🍀🧡 We had a lovely, relaxed evening in a young, modern restaurant! We'd love to come back!

I found the portion of pasta quite small—we could have definitely eaten more afterward. The price/performance ratio wasn't right for us...a shame, we had hoped for more.

My second visit here, this time specifically as a tester. The food (pizza) was exceptional and delicious, the pizza variations interesting, the menu small but fine with some gems. The ambiance is cozy, there's plenty of space at each table with enough space between the next. The service was attentive and unobtrusive, and the service was friendly, too; I was able to pack up the rest of my food to take home. The drinks menu is clear, fitting the theme, of course, with a wide selection of wine. The prices are okay; quality doesn't have to be expensive, but it's not cheap either, and here the value for money is absolutely fine. I'll deduct a small amount for the somewhat cool welcome, but that only came from one lady, which only slightly detracts from the overall impression. It's absolutely worth a visit; I can recommend it with a clear conscience - keep it up, Nonna's.

In terms of taste, for a Neapolitan pizza in Bielefeld, it's far from the best, like the one on August Bebel Straße. Service was unfortunately either very slow or too few staff, and the wait times were definitely far too long. It's a shame I remembered it being better.

Unfortunately, I don't know why the food at Nonna's has deteriorated so much. About a year and a half ago, the food was a dream: the salad was fresh, perfectly roasted mushrooms, and a super delicious dressing. Today, there was a salad that tasted like it came from a large bag of mushrooms that were way too big for my liking, which looked like they were boiled rather than fried. Five slices of cucumber and five walnut kernels were simply sprinkled on top, along with a few dried-out carrot slices. No tomatoes. I had chosen oil and vinegar for the dressing. The spaghetti carbonara wasn't really hot, which I complained about. The chef said the dish couldn't be served hot because the egg yolk would curdle, but it had! And the portion was tiny for €16.90!! And the salad was €15.90. Plus, the old prices are still on the website! And in the pizzeria window! The only positive thing I can say was the service staff, who were very friendly and accommodating! It's a shame that eating out is becoming less and less enjoyable. Portions are getting smaller, quality is declining, and prices are 20-30% more expensive!

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The salad wasn't fresh. But see for yourself in the photo. I still had to pay for the salad, even though I returned it. Otherwise, the restrooms smelled strongly of artificial fragrances. The staff was quite friendly, to the point of being okay, and the pasta dish was also fine. They only serve water from Italy, which isn't particularly environmentally friendly.

We went there on Sunday lunchtime right after opening and got a really good pizza! A light, thick crust and a thin base. The toppings (mortadella and burrata) made the pizza less crispy, but it was very flavorful. It's a bit pricey, but in my opinion, it's worth it for the pizza. On weekend evenings, the food and service aren't quite as great :)

The food was quite good, the waiting time was OK, the staff were nice, but I found the waitress's question "how much can I put in?" when paying by card a bit unpleasant; I've never heard that from waiters anywhere else.

The food was really great, but the service was really unmotivated, and all the employees were teasing each other pretty loudly, which is funny in itself, but it was also extremely loud and a bit disrespectful to each other... They charged us €2 for a handful of Parmesan cheese, and even though there were only two occupied tables, they swapped them around when billing. They were friendly, but they all seemed to be sleeping a bit, which could be even better :))

Very good food, good drinks. Small but fine menu. Overall, the service was very nice and friendly, but it took too long to arrive. We got the menus ourselves after 10 minutes, and we had to order the bill three times.

To give the entire composition of dough and cheese the appropriate appreciation, I've defined a few categories for my experience at Nonna's. The Restaurant My nose was already wandering down Italian paths as I walked in, awakening the desire to vacation in Bella Italia. It was modernly furnished, the restrooms were clean, the chairs were comfortable, and the tables were large enough. The open kitchen exuded the beloved aromas of my nonexistent Italian mother's kitchen. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, but kept us waiting. The Starter I had a Nonna's Bruschetta and a Neapolitan Salame. The starter was unusual, but had an interesting touch with honey and walnuts. Of course, my first bite made me drop more than half of the bread 😂 I generously shared it with my companions, and they were also very impressed by the combination! The Main Course This pizza par excellence does everything that makes a classic right. Crispy on the outside, thin on the inside. Easy to slice, full-flavored, and with a constant hunger for more! The dark spots on the outside are a common occurrence in Neapolitan food and are entirely forgivable. My tongue experienced the purest bliss of flavor without burning or unpleasant surprises on the taste buds. A delightful experience in the mouth! Conclusion Atmosphere, service, creativity, taste top-notch and top-notch. Prices were okay, but the wait was quite long. What I personally missed was the classic Italian waiter :D But the two girls were really friendly and attentive. I'd be happy to come back on my next visit to Bielefeld 😁

As someone who comes from a gastronomic family and still has a great passion for good food, I have rarely left a restaurant as excited as I was at Nonna's. As soon as you enter, you can feel the warmth and warmth that this restaurant radiates - a feeling of arrival. The host was incredibly attentive and friendly, even in the middle of the busy evening he had a smile and a kind word for us. The dishes were a real culinary experience: lovingly prepared, perfectly balanced and you could taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every bite - just like in Italy. The pizza was an absolute highlight for me - fluffy dough, wonderfully aromatic toppings, and simply made with love. I've been to many pizzerias all over Germany, but here I definitely ate one of the best pizzas of my life. The dessert menu is also impressive. The tiramisu with home-baked sponge cake in particular was a poem - light, creamy and with that certain something that you won't forget. Next time I will definitely try the lemon sorbet. For me, Nonna's is not a restaurant, but a place where you feel like you are eating with friends. I'll definitely be back - and I'll bring even more friends with me next time.

The food and cocktails were very tasty. There is a lot to choose from, including vegan dishes and gluten-free dishes for an additional charge. The service was friendly, but unfortunately very slow, so one star was deducted.

I really enjoyed this place! The food was great for gluten free and vegan and vegetarian!!! They have great pizza and pasta options my gluten free pasta was a but salty bit overall good! The atmosphere was awesome too but there was one waitress who was abit rude and didn’t know about personal space she was super close to me…. But the other waitresses were super friendly and nice!

The pizza was very close to the one I ate in Siena, Italy. Definitely the best pizza here in Bielefeld. Not only did it look simply sensational visually, it also tasted great. Gladly again 👌🏽

As always, we had a great evening at Nonnas. The food, drinks and service were top. We're always happy to come back!

Super nice service, always courteous. Pizza is a 10 out of 10. In summer you can sit comfortably outside. The owner is super funny and always up for a laugh. Would come back at any time. 👍🏻

The pizza tasted great. I had the Confusa with Parma ham, shrimp and sweet chili sauce. It was something different and really a great combination. However, I deducted the B grade because the knives were practically blunt. The pizza is super thin in the middle and has a bulging edge. However, both were practically impossible to cut with the strange knives. Unfortunately, since the location is a large room, it was very loud and you could hardly have a conversation without yelling at each other. Unfortunately the atmosphere isn't really comfortable. I also found the prices to be very official. I think 3.30 euros for a 0.2 liter cola is a bit steep. So the equivalent of 8.25 euros for a 0.5 liter cola. A bit exaggerated. Therefore only 3 stars. Taste great, dosage form rather unwieldy, tools impractical, atmosphere loud.

Great food, great location, friendly and friendly service

It used to be a really popular restaurant, but today it has unfortunately fallen into disrepair. Just way too overpriced for that. The service makes an effort, but is completely overwhelmed; the allocation within the team is simply not right. The kitchen also seems overwhelmed with a restaurant that is only half full during the week, the food doesn't come warm, not at the same time, and some of the orders are forgotten. The wine glasses seem cheap and the overall atmosphere is rather oppressive. Unfortunately, a relaxed visit to a restaurant looks different. Too bad.

The restaurant also has seating outside, so we recommend eating there even on good days. I can highly recommend the Spinaci pizza.

The pizzas there are very tasty and recommended. The portions are also very good.

Food delicious - portion too small The food tasted good, I chose spaghetti carbonara. However, the portion was not enough and was clearly too small - everything was weighed. Unfortunately, even after I spoke to him, no solution could be found - nothing was taken care of. I went home hungry.
