I've never posted a review before, positive or negative, but I feel compelled to comment on the poor service from the staff. Making fun of the number of customers who wanted their food packed up for takeout is completely unprofessional, especially when it's done so blatantly that I witnessed it myself. The food was served before the drinks, which I find incomprehensible given the 15 people in the restaurant. This was our last visit, and we were always regulars who appreciated the place. Perhaps some customer service training would be advisable.

We had a great spot in the back of the conservatory. The pizza was fantastic, the dough was very light and airy, and the service was very attentive and courteous. The price was right, we booked online beforehand, and the kids' menus were also very reasonably priced! Highly recommended!

We ate here twice during the busy Christmas market. One time outside, one time inside. Great service and excellent food, which was also served incredibly quickly after ordering. Fantastic.

We went there today because the Extrablatt next door was full. The portions are very small, especially for the price. The taste is mediocre. Stay away from the matcha! The atmosphere is quiet and cozy.

There were several people on the café's terrace, and our experience was unfortunately very disappointing. After we sat down, a waitress approached us and informed us that the terrace was no longer available for orders. We had only been there for a few minutes and were forced to get up again. Shortly afterward, however, two other guests arrived and were able to order on the same terrace without any problems. We found this unequal treatment very rude and disrespectful. As guests, we clearly felt disadvantaged and unappreciated. It's a shame, because we had been looking forward to a pleasant visit. Based on this experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend the café.

The bread with burrata was excellent, but I need to try more to possibly give it 5 stars.

We've been participating in the Hanseatic Market for 20 years. There was always a mutually agreeable arrangement, as short trips to the restroom are difficult for the stallholders. This year, we were politely asked to leave because we weren't customers. And we're no longer customers. I hope they'll be happy with the customers the Hanseatic Market attracts.

I was at Ervin's place last night and had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was super pleasant, the food and drinks were excellent, and Ervin was, as always, a wonderful host – attentive, friendly, and in a great mood. You can just tell he loves what he does. I'll definitely be back! 😇

Both dishes were completely rushed (so much chili that you could no longer taste the fish or scampi). I politely asked the waitress if she could give the kitchen a heads-up. The answer was: We're a chain restaurant, so things like that can't be changed. As a customer, I probably wouldn't have a clue about chain restaurants. By the way, the restaurant's self-description doesn't indicate that it's a chain restaurant.

I've been coming here for years and have celebrated several of my birthdays. I even know some of the staff personally; the shop has become like a family visit to me. Any visit to the city without finishing with a drink or a meal isn't a complete day of strolling. You guys are great 💝

You feel very comfortable and are always served very well. Adrjana and Erwin are very attentive and always smiling. The food is the best of most restaurants in Dortmund. There's always a seasonally changing menu and little extras. A very nice atmosphere!! :)

This new Italian restaurant is a real asset to Dortmund's city center and a pleasant alternative to the neighboring Extrablatt. Atmospherically designed rooms, outdoor dining in the pedestrian zone or on a terrace, are designed as a bar or restaurant, with a varied menu of small and large Italian dishes, an ice cream menu, and sweets. The young, uncomplicated, and above all, very friendly staff offer a reasonable price-performance ratio. It's ideal for a stop for a drink or snack while strolling through town.

The price-performance ratio wasn't quite right here. My Caprese pizza had 5 cherry tomatoes and 6 basil leaves added later to a Margherita. I would have expected more. The other dishes weren't particularly impressive either. The service was good.

We were there at lunchtime, and it wasn't busy. There were three servers there, but unfortunately, we still waited for someone to take our order, and the drinks also took a relatively long time to arrive. The ambiance is nice, but the tables are very close together. If all the tables are occupied, it will be very crowded and probably very noisy. But it was okay for lunch.

The restaurant itself is in a good location, and the courtyard is very pleasant. The menu is very modern – we ordered one Strammer Luigi and one Spaghetti Gamberetti and were VERY disappointed. During our stay in Dortmund, we visited over 20 restaurants, but these dishes were simply disappointing – even though they were by far the most expensive dishes of our trip. The pasta was completely drenched in oil – there were only 5 prawns, and that for €18. The bread was completely unloved – two pieces of ham thrown on it, and the taste was simply unimaginative. A real shame

There was vegetarian pizza and tagliata speciale. The latter dish was good—not a revelation, just good. The carrots on the vegetarian pizza and the lack of eggplant were a bit jarring, but okay. Something different. Overall, good, four out of five stars.

I recently ate at Nonna di Mia – and it was an absolute highlight! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and you immediately feel at home. I would especially like to highlight the service: Andrijana served us with incredible warmth, attention, and professionalism. She was always there with a smile, gave great recommendations, and made our visit a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was also excellent – ​​fresh, authentic, and prepared with love. Every course was a delight! You can tell the passion the food is cooked with. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Nonna di Mia – especially when Andrijana is there to take care of you!

Lunch menu only from 1:00 p.m. Breakfast menu until 1:00 p.m. From ordering to the pizza arriving at the table, we waited about an hour. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Update: We waited an hour and 30 minutes for the pizza. When I told the server that we'd been waiting a long time and had a bad start, she replied that she didn't like my tone. The customer next door also complained. The tone was polite but assertive. Here, too, it was pointed out that servers shouldn't tolerate being shouted at. Incidentally, the food wasn't above average either. We won't be going back. We've never been treated so rudely in a restaurant. (FYI, we're adults in our mid-50s.) Many guests left the restaurant while waiting. Update 12/05 We sent an email. It went unanswered for a week. It seems no one cared... 1 star deducted...

Delicious food with friendly service. We were there twice.

We ate in the restaurant today and were very happy with the taste of the food. Unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations in any way. The waitress in charge responded to my polite request for garlic oil in an inappropriate manner, which significantly spoiled the overall impression. Additionally, the wait for our food was approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, which we found extremely unreasonable. From our point of view, it would make sense to increase the number of service staff, as they sometimes seemed overwhelmed to us. In summary, the quality of the food was convincing. Still the service was unacceptable. It was also noticeable that during our stay several guests left the restaurant early - apparently also dissatisfied with the service.

It wasn't our first time there. No matter whether at dusk or at lunchtime. The food and the ambience are really great. Directly in the city and a parking lot can also be found in the area, although there is a charge. The children's menus are plentiful, although simply made, but still tasty and delicious for the children. Food was good in terms of price-performance ratio! All in all it was great and we eat there often.

There was far too much Semola on the pizza for my taste, so for me the pizza is one of the worse Napoli-style pizzas. However, the staff were friendly and competent and the selection is very good. A nice shop with good service. The food is also delicious. We've been there several times. But: The salad with goat cheese from the additional menu in March 2025 was a real joke. For the price of 17 euros there were 2 cheese kebabs wrapped in ham and what felt like a small "side salad" consisting of lamb's lettuce, pears and a few walnuts, like you would have gotten elsewhere for 4 euros. Add 2 small strips of bread, together smaller than a piece of toast. When my friend complained about delivery and payment as to whether the quantity was a joke, the otherwise very friendly service employee only responded with "it's always like that, but I'll pass it on." It doesn't work that way! That's why I'm posting this publicly so that you can work on it. Then we'd love to come back.

I recently went to Nonna di Mia in Dortmund and had an overall nice evening. The restaurant has a stylish, cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. The menu offers a good selection of Italian classics, and my dish was freshly prepared and delicious. I especially enjoyed the pizza! The service was friendly. The prices are a bit high, but justified. Overall, a nice place for Italian food in Dortmund – I’d love to come back!

Fast service, friendly staff, food was delivered quickly even though it was relatively full, Tagliatelle Verdura was pretty tasteless and some of the vegetables were pretty roughly cut and pretty hard but I've eaten worse pasta dishes, Bolognese had almost no sauce and you had to look for the mince, but in general I celebrate the attitude of serving little meat

A very tasty restaurant with a great variety. We arrived late in the evening and were able to get a seat without a reservation, although this could be more difficult at busy times - reservations are recommended. I had the Burrata pizza, whose cheese was exceptionally tender, and my friend had the Caprese pizza. Both pizzas tasted excellent, were normal size and had a fluffy, thick crust. The service was quick, attentive and friendly, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was unique and inviting, which completed the overall experience. A visit is definitely worth it, whether for a late dinner or a cozy evening with friends or family. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Wir waren gestern zum Silvestermenü zum ersten Mal da und es war ein entspannter Abend in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Als erstes gab es einen Aperitif vom Haus und einen Gruß aus der Küche. Das Brot sieht sehr groß aus ist aber schön locker und knusprig Die Bedienungen waren durchweg sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, nie zu viel aber immer zur rechten Zeit zur Stelle. Danke Das Essen ( alle vier Gänge ) war sehr lecker und liebevoll angerichtet ! Da werden wir sicher auch die Pizza mal probieren !

Very cozy! We had a delicious meal and were served well. Friendly waitress. Everything is clean and tidy. Highly recommended! The only point why the atmosphere is 4 stars, we sat at the front of the restaurant under the glass, where we could not hear the music/radio. We will definitely come back!

We ordered 2 pizzas. These tasted pretty good. Plus a hot chocolate, which was very tasty. The service was quick and friendly and the restaurant particularly scored points with the ambience, as everything seemed very cozy and, thanks to the indirect, warm lighting, nice and dignified.

The food (pizza) was good, the cappuccino was delicious and everything was okay. Price-performance ratio okay. I like the ambience a bit better at Nonna di Mia in Lippstadt.

Everything was excellent, far beyond my expectations. I can recommend the lunch option with a minipizza+salad and a drink at a very (!) fair price. The antipasti plate and the bread+two dips were also delicious and stylishly prepared. This will become my go to place in Dortmund.

The staff are all very attentive and polite. Aperol on “Sprizzwoch” for €5 is a great offer. Our food tasted very good and was delivered to the table quite quickly. The pasta dishes are typically Italian and not that lavish, but they don't cost the world either. Completely sufficient with a salad first. Absolutely good value for money. All in all, coupled with the ambience, we would like to come back.

Wir fanden Nonna di Mia zufällig und aßen eine sehr leckere Pizza mit superfrischen Zutaten, Fior di latte - eine Art Mozzarella. Die Bedienungen waren allesamt sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Es gibt einen taghellen Wintergarten im hinteren Teil des Restaurants, jedoch auch alle anderen Sitzplätze wirken sehr einladend. Im Hintergrund läuft leise italienische Musik, interessante Schwarz-Weiß Fotos mit italienischen Orten an den Wänden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

So the ambience at the back towards the Old Market was really great. Very quiet, despite being a Friday evening. Our service was very friendly, courteous and quick. Unfortunately, the other waitresses were very unfriendly, often ignored you or sat down at a table with friends to chat, smoke, etc., which was very unusual. The food itself is very good, the only thing I have to complain about with my burrata is that when it comes to a pizza with cherry tomatoes, as it says on the menu, four cherry tomatoes on the pizza is a joke. Unfortunately, the toilets were also very dirty.
