L'Osteria Dortmund Europaplatz in Dortmund

We went to L'Osteria Dortmund for dinner. The food was good, the service was friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was really great. Had a lovely evening there and can only recommend L'Osteria.

Unfortunately, this is the second time I've had a very bad experience with the service. Waited again for a waiter for 20 minutes, unfortunately in vain... Even after drawing attention to yourself, there was still no reaction. Very, very unfortunate.

Very nice service. The Cip & Ciop pizza could have been a little spicier for my taste. Otherwise everything was great! If you like Amaretto, you should definitely try the 'Mafioso'! 😉🙂

very noisy atmosphere, difficult to entertain, and if you sit upstairs you should have a fan. Food was good, pizza size huge but paper thin. Difficult to cut these on the much smaller plate. Pasta dish was also ok...a bit small portion for my opinion. Staff top and very attentive.

Perfect restaurant, good food, good prices

A very big Italian restaurant on a big square. This is a very Lively restaurant and known forctheir very big Italian pizza. Got for myself an lasagne. That was tasty. There are also salade and other dishes to choose from. You have to get an reservation in the weekend. All dishes will be fresly made.

I've been there twice now with my employer and wouldn't go to the restaurant privately. Positive: The drinks and food arrived quickly and the service was friendly. I found the volume of the music negative, my disco and club days are over and in a restaurant the volume of the music should at best be subtle, no dance music at concert volume. How are you supposed to converse in a group at a large table? I also found it too dark, more of a pub than a restaurant. The pizza was okay, very big, but that's no art when half is just dough. Everything is okay in terms of price.

We were lucky enough to meet a great team when we made our spontaneous decision. Especially Mr. M-Sakvan, who took excellent care of our 5-year-old. He motivated her to eat her food, kept his word and made her really happy with a little surprise for her birthday. The only complaint I would like to make is that the music is too loud; you can hardly have a conversation. But we'll be back ♡

Today we wanted some delicious food at l'osteria at the end of a shopping tour. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table at the back. We knew very quickly what we wanted to order. But unfortunately no service person came. They kept walking past us but no one asked if we wanted to order. After about 30 minutes a couple came and sat down 2 tables away. They had their drinks after about 2 minutes. After another 2 minutes the Parmesan was brought. Still no one paid any attention to us. We then decided to leave the restaurant and eat next door. It's a shame that you treat guests like that.

My girlfriend and I wanted to eat there for our anniversary. Service is unusually unfriendly. Despite a reservation we got a table in the corner. In addition, we were not noticed or served for 30 minutes. The pizza was missing cheese and the pizza was cold. Better buy a frozen pizza!!

On Saturday September 14th we, eight people, were at L’Osteria Europaplatz. One of the friends invited was a chef from Bavaria. He and his wife had ordered risotto, which he thought was overcooked white rice, but not risotto. I was just ashamed. Too bad.

L'Osteria Dortmund offers an authentic Italian dining experience with delicious dishes and generous portions. Their pizza is huge and very tasty, but at this location, the ham on the Prosciuto e Funghi was not quite up to par. I say this because I have eaten this pizza and another 5 l'osteria locations in Germany. Either way, the friendly atmosphere and modern decor add to the charm, and the service was prompt and courteous. Perfect for an outing with friends or family...

I only use the restaurant during my lunch break and can only rate daytime operations here. There is a small all-rounder of Italian cuisine and it is also well prepared - if you give criticism, it is taken seriously. I usually eat the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio here. The wine is ok, the coffee is very good! The employees are always trying hard, but they are not trained professionals, but that is not the aim here.

Too bad! We were at Losteria again and were really looking forward to the large pizza, which is enough for two people if we're moderately hungry, but unfortunately we were disappointed. My pizza arrived at the table with what I now consider to be a very large and dry crust, even by Losteria standards. And there was a lot of topping missing. Since the topping is really crucial for the full Losteria experience, the pizza is of course not convincing. But you should do this for a full €16, otherwise you won't feel the desire to be a guest at Losteria again. Of course, we didn't want to judge too quickly and asked the waiter about the toppings and crust problem. Astonished by the answer, I am now writing this review. The waiter told us: 'The fact that there are so few toppings on the pizzas is completely normal because everything is weighed and there are always some dishes in every restaurant that are much more expensive than they are worth. You shouldn't let this put you off and just avoid these dishes the next time you visit and choose something else instead.' Losteria, it's always been a pleasure, I had my first pizza when I was 16! Now I'm 21. Unfortunately, I can't come anymore because the concept of “Losteria”: big pizza, thin crust, reasonable price, no longer exists. Photos attached.

Top pizza and attentive service. The decor is very stylish, but when there's a lot going on, it can be quite loud. Just like in a train station hall. Overall, an unreserved recommendation.

There were two of us. For the starter, Brucetta, 3 of 4 pieces of bread were not crispy but burnt. The noodles were too salty, which was dismissed with an “oh, I’ll pass it on.” And when we paid, the waitress asked if we would still like to give a tip despite the bad food. You can't beat it when it comes to cheekiness.

Stopped for dinner here our first night in Dortmund. Nice large patio. Portions were large and tasty. Service with the drinks was a little slow.

We ordered food. The chicken was forgotten in the salads and the pasta was completely forgotten. Unfortunately, even after calling, the restaurant didn't want to provide anything because it was too late. Instead, the money should be given back in the form of a voucher. This is still missing. No more answers, not even to my email. At least a friendly driver.

The food and drinks are okay. You know what to expect. But the service is bad. We waited over 10 minutes to get the menu cards. Then another 30 minutes until we could order the drinks. Had to go to the front of the counter. The drinks came relatively quickly. However, paying took time again. When I complained about the service there wasn't even an apology. It wasn't because there weren't enough employees in the store, but rather the employees chatted among themselves and simply didn't pay attention to the guests.

It was very good. There were 4 of us. We ordered 2 pizzas for lunch. It was plenty.

The food and service were completely OK, the 1* rating is there for another reason: purchased vouchers from 2023 can no longer be used. Although the credit has not expired, it can no longer be redeemed in the restaurant. If you read on the L'Osteria website, you have to ask the partner bank at the time for a payment, including scanning your ID document, etc. Very poor customer service. As a L'Osteria customer, what do I have to do with their bank? Exactly, nothing at all. Another solution definitely had to be found.

I think the Losteria in Bochum is better in terms of food, but the service was bomb. There was an employee at the exit of the Losteria who said goodbye to us in a friendly manner and wished us a nice evening. The man is extremely likeable and would come back just for that reason!

Ordered food twice and it wasn't finished twice. Real dump. Is the health department turning a blind eye? Wait times from hell.

Catastrophe! We were at this restaurant on Sunday (July 28th) and will definitely not be back. Drink order was taken but was lost. Waited 30 minutes for drinks, waited 1 hour for food. Lettuce leaves were definitely not fresh, noodles were so hard that it had nothing to do with al dente. They couldn't even be skewered on a fork, and they were cold. Order more drinks? Not possible, no one from the staff felt responsible. Dessert again 30 minutes waiting time. The spaghetti ice cream arrived at the table melted and no longer had the consistency of an egg. So it must have been sitting in the kitchen ready to be picked up for ages. The store was well attended, but there were enough staff there and as a trained hotel manager I can judge that very well. There is a lot of room for improvement in this branch and with this team. There needs to be better training and planning there.

We were there on July 16th. We ate there with our entire team (13 people) and were very positively surprised. The service was great, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. He always kept an eye on us and immediately provided supplies if something was missing. The food came for everyone at the same time and was very tasty. Huge portions 😄. Price performance was also good. We can't say anything negative about the Losteria at Europaplatz. Everything worked out to our complete satisfaction. We'll be happy to come back 👍 Thanks again and big praise to your team and especially to our waiter 😉

Well, L'osteria. Yes, the pizzas are mega big. But does it have to be that the edge extends 10 cm over the edge of the plate? I do not know. It's good that you can share the pizza and have it served half/half. But let's be honest, that works elsewhere too. I think it's nice to sit outside and inside and that's definitely the biggest advantage compared to other Italians. Outside you sit next to olive and lemon trees. Very nice. Prices are okay.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant Every time I'm there I wait 2 hours for the pizza. They don't ask for a second drink either. I would understand if the store was packed - but no. Always chaotic

I really enjoy going to L'osteria on Europaplatz again and again. The food and especially the service is great. I would like to give special praise to the managing director Emre, who always makes a visit very pleasant. You are always welcomed very warmly and the employees are very accommodating. We recommend! :)

Where do I start... the pasta was NOT that good... but the pizza, a little more cheese would have been better... the waiting time was an absolute disaster.. the store wasn't full, very manageable.. but still waited for a good 1 hour a pizza and a plate of pasta.. The Cola is sold as Cola.. Unfortunately no Coca Cola... tastes absolutely like Afri Coce.. well. Been here for the first and last time✌🏽

Man oh man, what's going on with L'Osteria Europlatz!!!! We haven't eaten such bad pizza in a long time. A disaster both visually and taste-wise. I don't know if we ate the box, but that's what the pizza tasted like. Price goes up, taste and quality way down. Is this the new direction of L'Osteria????

The L'Osteria at Europaplatz is very nice. Our waiter was great, I think his name was Venlon. He served us really well and also got the drinks, because unfortunately, after a long wait and even though the starter was already at the table, the drinks were still not with us. He was really great and we hope that something like that will be registered. The food was also very good. We were able to spend a very nice evening there

Too loud....it's not that loud in Kamen and downtown Dortmund

L'Osteria's huge pizzas are simply good. Above all, it's good to know that you can split the toppings half/half, meaning you can practically order two different pizzas in one. Personally, it's sometimes too loud for me and conversations aren't really possible. Some soundproofing measures would certainly be appropriate here. Otherwise very nice staff and personal approach. In that respect, great.

The staff always strives to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay and is happy to answer any questions or special requests. I can highly recommend L'Osteria to everyone. It is particularly nice when the restaurant is not overcrowded, as you can then enjoy the relaxed atmosphere even better. Definitely worth a visit!

Incredible taste experience I ate an avocado and shrimp salad. Incredibly delicious, I definitely have to go there again. My colleagues were also super satisfied. Absolutely beautiful ambience and delicious food - a little piece of Italy 🇮🇹 in Dortmund 🤩 Rating: RECOMMENDED!!!

The two of us got a nice table without a reservation during the week. The food was delicious so far, unfortunately my pizza was way too spicy (can't remember if there was a note on the menu?!). Unfortunately, I couldn't eat my pizza, which cost almost €18. Otherwise the ambience was nice, I will go again.

I've been there several times and it's actually quite good. The pizzas are super tasty and look great. However, the tortelloni were not good. They were quite cold and still very hard. In addition, the pasta was brought to us 20 minutes before the pizzas, which of course wasn't nice since we all wanted to eat together. At least they could have brought the side salad. Drinks were delicious and the nice man who served us was friendly and competent. It is sometimes very loud in the restaurant and it is difficult to have a conversation. Birthday surprise with tiramisu was a success :)

Nice local with a cozy outdoor area. Staff is super friendly and they were able to confidently answer questions about my choice from the menu. I chose the Orecchiette di Manzo al Limone and it was really delicious, although the dish wasn't really spicy even though it was labeled with a chili. The peppers were a little spicier, but not really hot. The local is located directly on the Stadtkrone and is therefore perfectly connected to the B1.

Dry pasta and hair in the food. In addition, an extremely unfriendly waiter who doesn't listen with a BVB tattoo on his calf, who forgets drinks and complains when you laugh, even though it wasn't even directed at the waiter. We won't be coming back!!!

Das Essen war durchschnittlich, aber Service einfach unterirdisch. Wie die Bedienung mit Gästen umgegangen ist, besonders mit Touristen, war mir selbst irgendwie peinlich. Ich kann verstehen dass jemand einen schlechten Tag hat oder einfach keinen Bock auf die Arbeit, aber man kann das trotzdem überspielen. Schließlich kommt man ins Restaurant um schöne Zeit zu verbringen und erwartet zumindest als Gast, und als Mensch behandelt zu werden. Jetzt verstehe ich die schlechte Bewertungen hier.
