Unfortunately, the delivered pizza can't reach us like this. With a hefty €5.99 delivery fee, that shouldn't happen, right?

Delicious food, good atmosphere

The food is, as usual, good and delicious. We'd like to come back more often, but we were hoarse after our last visit. Perhaps it was louder because we were sitting in a corner; the music was at a volume that was more than unpleasant. When a birthday song was played twice in the evening, which is a nice idea in itself, the volume was as loud as a disco. Conversation was impossible...

Since we were greeted very unfriendly at the reception and the waitress didn't even feel it necessary to greet us, we unfortunately didn't get to eat at all and left the restaurant immediately.

I enjoyed what I ate😋👍 More food to follow. I generally liked everything, but the background music was a bit distracting, and I had to fight it to continue conversations in peace. But I've experienced that in Dortmund city center before. Too bad in this case. Otherwise, it was all around nice, and the staff made an effort - even though the employee wasn't on duty at the time and, despite all the resistance, started helping out her colleagues👍👍👍‼️ Then they made my birthday even more special, as did the handball player 🤗🤗🤗‼️👍👍👍

1 star – Shrimp missing, panna cotta retired, pasta overcooked L'Osteria, what the hell was that? I order salad, pasta, shrimp, and a panna cotta to finish off sweetly – sounds like a lovely evening, right? Well. The reality: pasta so overcooked that even my fork recoils. No bite at all – more like culinary retirement savings. Shrimp? Apparently they decided they'd rather not work today. And the panna cotta? Probably in the witness protection program. In any case, the two never arrived. So I call – polite, hungry, slightly disappointed – and what do I get? A cheeky reply, as if it were my fault that the order was incomplete. And then it comes: "We'll give Leon his money back." Who's Leon?! My name isn't Leon. I ordered, I paid – Leon is welcome to have some, but I'd just like my food. Conclusion: Service that resembled a construction site, overcooked pasta, missing shrimp, and a meager dessert. For that money, I could have just cried into my pillow on an empty stomach – it would have been cheaper and probably nicer.

We were there yesterday for "Notte Italiana" and ate, drank, and listened. We also really enjoyed Riccardo Doppio's live performance; he has such a beautiful voice, and he even sang our wedding song. Mille grazie. The pizza was, as usual, delicious as always, but it felt a bit smaller (see pictures). The ambiance is modern and chic with lots of Italian, but the volume is generally a bit loud (if you like it quiet and peaceful, this might just be the wrong place). But it didn't bother us, since we were sitting right next to the live act anyway. The staff is friendly, so you can't complain. Thank you, Losteria Dortmund Europaplatz team, for the wonderful event. <3

The food is delicious. BUT, the problem is the service. Three of us went out to eat and we waited 20 minutes for our drinks, even though there were only three tables occupied. Then, eventually, the food arrived. The pizza was delicious as always. It was supposed to have garlic on it, even extra garlic, but it wasn't on it. In the end, you pay without getting a bill. You probably pay for something you didn't get, but you can't see it because there's no bill.

We easily made a reservation online for our civil wedding for 12 friends, which made things a lot easier!! The food is absolutely delicious, as always!!🧡 We even received a dessert from the house as a wedding "gift" - thank you so much for that!!🫶🏼 I/We highly recommend the restaurant and the location, thank you so much!!🧡🧡 (The only small negative point: the music is always a bit too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation with larger groups)🫶🏼

The food was great, service could have been a little quicker, but that's okay on such a warm day when the restaurant is crowded! :) Nevertheless, very competent service, you are asked whether everything is good, whether anything is missing and whether you would like dessert or coffee afterwards. :) We have visited Europaplatz several times and always thought it was great! The 4 stars are also complaints on a high level. ;)

Sowohl innen als auch außen war es proppenvoll - bei augenscheinlich zu wenig Personal. Trotzdem wurde wohl auch noch Essen ausgeliefert 😯 Wir haben fast 15 Minuten gewartet, bis wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben konnten, dann 20 Minuten auf unsere Getränke (zwei Flaschen Bier ohne Gläser, das fand ich da noch witzig) gewartet, dann nochmal 20 Minuten aufs Essen. An der Küche lag es vermutlich nicht, denn die Pizzen waren bereits nur noch lauwarm, als die am Tisch ankamen. Die standen wohl schon länger irgendwo rum. Die Bedienung war gestresst, überfordert und unhöflich, tat uns aber bei dem Arbeitspensum dort trotzdem noch leid! Anstatt gemütlich zu essen waren wir irgendwann auch nur noch genervt und froh, als es endlich vorbei war. Fazit: never ever again!!

We were there for dinner last Sunday, from the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything was delicious and the service left nothing to be desired. A great restaurant with a great ambience!

I'm actually very satisfied with L'Osteria at Europaplatz. On the one hand, I never have problems with the parking space (there is always enough), on the other hand, they never say "Sorry, we're fully booked" and if they do, we're always offered to be patient, as a table will definitely become available again. Besides, the money here is never too bad for me, considering what I get for it. Everyone strives to satisfy the customer! The facility could possibly be renewed and the staff could be increased in the evenings. However, the young staff goes out of their way to give visitors advice and help and to make them feel welcome, absolutely. I travel a lot and have appointments at the same chain, but there are still differences in the food. Whether that is Kamen, Bochum, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Gelsenkirchen, Herne etc., there are small but noticeable differences. Whether it's the warm drinks, whether it's the pasta, whether it's the pizza, I've actually sometimes noticed big differences, which is why I actually try to avoid some branches. I can only warmly recommend Europaplatz. I feel good, and so do the food and drinks. My recommendation absolutely applies to Europaplatz when it comes to L'Osteria again. So, buon appetito!

The evening itself was fun thanks to the service staff, the pizzas are very good for my taste, although in our case the half pizzas for take away were folded in the middle and then wrapped in foil. Result, everything is muddy, not edible, then disposed of, thank you very much,,,,

Absolute failure! I had dinner there yesterday with my family and I was more than disappointed, we were about to leave the restaurant. We ordered a pizza with two halves that my wife and I wanted to share and our son had a children's pizza. It took forever for the food to reach us. The waitress explained to us that it was taking so long because a lot of out-of-house orders were being processed. Since the restaurant has an open kitchen and we were sitting at a table from where we could see into the kitchen, we saw that too, but that's exactly where my understanding ends. I actually always thought that customers had priority in the restaurant. I wonder what principle is being used there. Customer satisfaction is not the top priority. My son was getting whiny because he was hungry. The waitress noticed this and brought him bread with olive oil. Thank you for that. The only positive thing about this visit was the service. She was very friendly, accommodating and, as already mentioned, she tried to keep our son happy. Otherwise I can only say it was an absolute failure because the pizzas weren't that special. They lost us as guests. Very disappointing and not recommended.

Very nice L'Osteria location! When the restaurant is busy on weekends, it is a bit noisy. However, the atmosphere is nicer than in the branch in the city center. The food is at the same good level as you would expect from this chain. The employees definitely deserve praise! Even when the store is busy, they make everything possible and are very accommodating, friendly and committed. All in all, I think this location is outstanding and I would always be happy to come back! If you are mobile, you should choose L'Osteria at Europaplatz over the other locations within reach in Dortmund city center and Kamen. The outdoor area is extremely attractive and a highlight, especially in summer. Aside from the "open-air season", this L'Osteria also invites you to linger. Top!

Wir mussten 2 Stunden und 10 Minuten warten. Keine Entschuldigung, sondern auch noch unhöflich bei der Lieferung. Das Essen war fast kalt. Wenn man kein ausreichendes Personal für Auslieferungen hat, sollte man auch keinen Liefer"service" anbieten. Und das alles für den Kurs. Nein danke. Es gibt genügend gute Restaurants.

I was recently at L’Osteria Dortmund and was really impressed - especially by the excellent service from our waiter Simon (with the long, well-groomed beard)! He was incredibly attentive, friendly and always had a smile on his face. Despite the restaurant being busy, he took the time to take our wishes into account and the food came quickly. The pizza was, as you would expect from L’Osteria, huge and delicious. An all-round successful evening – thanks to Simon and the team!

Absolute failure. We were there for lunch in a large group. It started with the fact that you couldn't collect points in your own app because we had already ordered the food when making the reservation (to save time). The food itself was okay but nothing special. However, for the price we were assuming here, it was okay. Then the shock comes when paying: The dish that was advertised as a lunch special with a drink for €10.90 suddenly cost €15 without a drink. When asked, it was explained that the branch was no longer taking part in the lunch offer. This is still not stated correctly on the website today. It is also completely incomprehensible why this was not communicated when ordering, as the dish ordered is only available on the lunch menu. The price charged is therefore not understandable since this dish does not even exist on the normal menu. Apparently someone just made up a price, because you won't find such round prices anywhere else on the menu. We felt ripped off from start to finish.

The atmosphere was simply fantastic. Finally, a place where no prudes forbid their children from being children. It was really nice. BUT there was a table for six of us, reserved for two hours. We arrived at 3 p.m. and ordered at a quarter past. The waitress came at 4:10 p.m. (for the first time after ordering) and said our pizzas would be in the oven soon. After a total of 1.5 hours, our food was brought to us. I had a pizza that was half arugula and half mushrooms. The base was completely soggy and the tomato sauce tasted suspiciously sweet/sour, like some ready-made tomato sauce from a jar. Even my son left his pizza. The base was completely soggy. The table was only cleared away after WE had put our plates and cutlery away. It's not like we didn't want to make contact a thousand times beforehand. At first, we made up all sorts of excuses ourselves to show understanding and to be good guests. We were really excited at first... But if you allow your employees to play on their phones in the guest room instead of serving customers... you can't expect much more, I guess. Definitely never again. We suspect our order was forgotten. After all, the ordering process went smoothly. We arrived with joy and appetite, we ate quite hungry, and left disappointed.

Not recommended. Table was very dirty and was only cleaned upon request. Staff was very rarely at the table. The food came very late and at long intervals, so that half of them were already finished while the others were still waiting for their food. Nothing special in terms of taste. The bruschetta was also very hard and dry. For the rest of the pizza there wasn't even a box for transport, just a paper bag, which of course got soggy.

I ate a Pizza Vegetariana today and was very disappointed with the toppings on the pizza. Absolutely minimalist, I could count peppers and zucchini. Given the size of the pizza, with a hefty price of €15.95, the rest was very manageable. It's a shame, I remembered it differently.

Das ist kein Geschäftsgebaren, wir haben den Tisch reserviert und müssen dann trotzdem noch eine Stunde warten!!! Wir haben versucht telefonisch einen Tisch zu reservieren. Man sagte uns, dass wir nur noch online einen Tisch reservieren können. Wir haben dann auch für den nächsten Tag 18:00 Uhr online reserviert, von 18:00 bis 19:30 Uhr. Als wir dann dort an dem Tag essen wollten, sagte die Bedienung, der Tisch sei in fünf Minuten fertig. Allerdings ist im Moment so viel Betrieb, dass wir 40 Minuten bis eine Stunde mit dem Essen warten müssen! Wir haben dann abgesagt und sind in Aplerbeck zum Linguini gefahren. Dort wurden wir sehr zuvorkommend bedient, und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt!

But we weren't asked if we wanted to drink something new, if it tasted good, nothing. In general the staff wasn't very attentive this time. There were two of us and a table with extended family, who arrived 30 minutes AFTER us, had their food 15 minutes BEFORE us. We had to wait over 60 minutes for 2 pizzas, which is not possible. Were only put off when asked.

My visit today was so terrible. On my birthday today I wanted to go out to eat with my pregnant girlfriend at l'osteria (at Europaplatz in Dortmund). After more than half an hour we were finally able to order. We were kindly allowed to wait 1st and 12 minutes for the “cold” food to arrive. And it only came because we asked where it was! The food on the table was cold and we had to wait another half an hour until someone finally came to pack the food for us..! To make it warm again at home... Beforehand, we had received bread on the table without any care, dry without oil etc… It was the worst visit to l'osteria I've ever had and then on my birthday!! We told the waitress in charge but it didn't change much because she said that the boss was to blame! Impossible!

My friend and I had reserved a table for 3pm this afternoon. We were escorted to the table and given the menu. After that nothing happened for 20 minutes. It wasn't until we asked a waiter if we could order that someone finally came to us after other guests who arrived later had been served. We placed our order and again it took some time for the drinks to arrive. There's no sign of our food anywhere near us. Then our bruscetta came at some point, after which nothing happened for ages. When asked several times, the only answer was that there was a lot going on. Strange that other guests who came after us got their food before us. After more than 1.5 hours our pizzas arrived... unfortunately not as ordered. No double cheese and 6 pieces of pepper, which was actually part of the pizza. And unfortunately also a very wide, dry edge. And despite me complaining that there was no double cheese on it, we were charged for it. Even the coffee on the house never arrived. It's a shame it turned out that way. We won't go there again for now.

Worst delivery service. It's just disappointing. The delivery time is stated to be 60 minutes, but in reality it takes 2 hours and the pizza is cold and poorly topped.
