Hamburger very tasty Pizza unfortunately not enough topping

We wanted to have a nice, relaxed meal for two, but unfortunately that didn't happen. The restaurant was quite full and we were able to order quickly, which was fine. But that was it, unfortunately. After waiting for 40 minutes, I simply wanted to ask how much longer it would take, but after asking "how long..." I was immediately interrupted and only received the comment "it's just taking longer today." We accepted it because there was nothing more to say anyway, as the waiter left after saying this without even giving us a chance to reply. In the meantime, we noticed that at least three tables (large groups of people) who had ordered long after us had already received their food. We were pretty annoyed having to watch as pizzas kept going to other tables, even though we thought "that's how it must be." After a total of 70 minutes, I wanted to ask again. The waiter saw my annoyed look and told a presumably part-time worker to ask about our pizzas. He just gave me a look along the lines of "that was really stupid..." and left. After 10 minutes, I caught up with the part-time worker and asked how things were going. She brushed me off, saying something about a receipt and they had to go to their colleague. After a few minutes, the waiter came over to me and said they'd forgotten our receipt, whereupon I just wanted the bill, as the pizzas weren't in the oven yet. He took this with "complete understanding." However, he didn't come back for about 10 minutes and said that the pizzas were now in the oven, whereupon he asked for the bill. He came back and said that management thought we only had to pay for the pizzas because they were ready. Absolute cheek. Presumably they were rushing the pizzas so we'd have to pay for them, even though we wanted the bill. I went to the management, who didn't even want to listen to me properly and just talked about wasting food the whole time. In the end, one pizza was deducted from our bill. We ate it (it wasn't even 100% cooked), and because of the long wait of 1 hour 30 minutes, we obviously needed a drink with our food, which meant the bill was similar to what it should have been originally. I understand that it can be stressful when the place is busy and things can go wrong, but not even taking care of it properly after repeated requests and treating it with such indifference is unacceptable. Above all, somehow forcing the customer to pay is a disgrace. The location is actually quite nice, but for such service and a really ordinary, unspecial pizza, we won't be coming back. I can't recommend anyone go to the trouble of eating somewhere on days when it's supposedly busier. It's not worth it. The other tables also waited quite a long time, but what happened to us was unacceptable.

Delicious food, the Phoenix salad is highly recommended. Regarding the pizza dough, I wouldn't say it's the best in Dortmund, but the pizzas are large, generously topped, and prepared and served fairly quickly. In my opinion, the dessert selection is perhaps too small. The service was very good, and I can't understand the negative reviews in this regard.

A disastrous pizza and the waitress so unfriendly that you just wanted to leave immediately. A complete waste of time and money!

We're regulars. The food was usually decent. Tonight was truly terrible: the pizza from the kebab shop downstairs was better. The crust was missing, the Taggiasca olives were gone, and the arugula was leftover from 10 days ago (and I'm talking about an €18 pizza, not just any old pizza). I won't say a word about the service. You can't call that service. I'll just say that after about an hour, when the other guests at the table had finished their meals, they deigned to bring me the pasta.

I really enjoyed it. I can only recommend it.

Pizzas were okay, very empty there

The wait was a bit long... Very good hamburger...excellent chicken and rosemary pasta...the only downside was the black olives...they weren't the kind of olives worthy of an Italian...a shame

We had two truffle tagliatelle dishes, which unfortunately weren't very seasoned. For dessert, we each ordered two tiramisu dishes. Mine was very good, but my companion's tasted more like egg than anything else. The service, while very friendly, was very slow and unattentive, despite the small number of guests. When serving our drinks, one of the waiters apparently didn't know the names of the drinks and simply said, "The one with the Red Bull." I work in the restaurant industry myself, and I have to say it could definitely be better. The ambiance is excellent. The restaurant is stylishly decorated, creating a lovely atmosphere. I was a bit disappointed that the candles on the tables weren't lit even though it was already dark. (We lit ours ourselves, and it looked much nicer.)

The pizza was burnt and tasted bad. The service was slow and unfriendly. Plus, the people in the kitchen were constantly talking loudly, which was totally unprofessional. I definitely won't be back.

The pizza was okay, but given the current seasonal vegetables, I would have expected a bit more than a few pieces of peppers and zucchini... So, I wouldn't recommend Vegetariana Pizza. The service was super friendly, the atmosphere was nice, but it was way too loud.

We were there today at lunchtime and chose from the lunch menu. What can I say: There's nothing to complain about! ...more than adequate portions, pizza with excellent dough and plenty of toppings, all served quickly, by super friendly staff, and at a good price-performance ratio... We had a super nice waitress who catered to our individual needs and gave us great advice on the appetizer platter. Drinks and food were delivered quickly and were delicious! The mango caipirinha and pineapple mojito are highly recommended!

BOCCA Pizza Napoletana is simply fantastic! The appetizer was absolutely delicious, and the pizza that followed was simply dreamy. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail. The food arrived lightning fast, and the service was super friendly and attentive. Everything is just perfect here – a clear 5 stars and an absolute recommendation!

I wasn't really impressed. Although they offered a pizza with cooked ham, I couldn't order it as an extra topping. The waiter said the amount of cooked ham was limited for one type of pizza, and therefore I couldn't order it. I've never experienced that before. The pizza tasted good, but there was very little tuna on my pizza. The ambiance also didn't impress me.

Finally after all visiting various spots that serve "Neapolitan pizza" in Ruhr region we came here before leaving for the airport. We read the reviews before entering and were quite afraid of the waiting times, however even though we came on Sunday afternoon there weren't that many people and everything went smoothly. The pizzas were there after 15 minutes, finally proper Neapolitan. The only thing that I could find fault with was in diavola the salami on the side got a bit burned, probably moved during inserting to the oven, however I am willing to ignore it as a one time coincidence looking at the pizza overall. Definitely recommend and making on my list.

I've been a regular customer here for four years, but the last three times I've been there, it's been nothing. The pizza? It used to be really delicious, but now it's completely off: soggy dough, the toppings taste like nothing, and as if that wasn't enough, the pizza has gotten smaller too. And then raise the prices? Sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. Quality down, price up – it doesn't make sense. It's a real shame, it used to be my favorite place. But like this? Never again, hey. Bocca is over for me. Never again! Two of us went there yesterday and ordered two pizzas with shrimp and spinach. They simply charged an extra €10 for the shrimp and spinach. So the pizza came to about €22. Nothing but a rip-off! Never again!!

The food was okay. The service could be improved. You can only pay by card, which isn't a problem in principle. However, the only condition was that the terrace was full.

I was at this restaurant today and I'm honestly shocked. As a true Italian, I can say quite clearly: This pizza has nothing to do with a true Neapolitan pizza! It's immediately obvious that the pizza makers aren't Italian. The pizza was poorly made and tasted absolutely nothing. I advise everyone not to eat there. I think Italian food is pure Southwestern, but I'm stunned as I like the real Neapolitan pizza.

Very good, well-organized selection of Italian dishes. A little bit of everything. Everyone will be happy! We ate on the terrace in the early afternoon on a holiday and were served very quickly and friendly by two employees. The Penne Arrabiata and Insalato con Pollo were fresh and attractively presented. We were very satisfied with both the quality and quantity! Delicious and generous portions. Plus, the beautiful view of the small marina at Hörder Burg with lots of people on the promenade. Price and performance are definitely okay!

The pizza is delicious, but the girls aren't friendly at all—they don't even say hello when we leave. The pizza deserves 5 stars, but unfortunately, I have to give it only one star because of the service—not because of the new employees, but mainly because of the ones who have been there for a long time.

The food was okay, but there are better options. We ordered and didn't get our drinks until 40 minutes later. It wasn't particularly busy, and to top it off, the latte was already cold. The food came 30 minutes later, which was way too long.

Making a reservation isn't necessary, as the receptionist will tell you, "We always try to make it work, but if it doesn't work, it doesn't work." So what do you reserve for? 😁 Regarding the food: Pasta and gnocchi are okay, but nothing more. You can live without them. Maybe the pizza is better?! Service in the evening: Staff are extremely loud behind the bar. So if you sit in the corner, it's pointless. It's a shame. The place is nice, the location is great. But you can skip the food.

I ordered "The Grinch" pizza. The ingredients listed on the menu are vegetarian. When the pizza was brought from the table with the other orders, it suddenly had ground beef on it. Upon inquiry, it was explained that the pizza always comes with ground beef and that new menus had already been ordered, where this was also stated. The pizza was brought out without any problems—without meat. It's still a shame about food waste. It would be great if the servers could point out that the pizza is made with ground beef when ordering. Otherwise, the pizza was really unusual and delicious, and the service was very attentive. The location, right on Phoenix Lake, is really great.

The service was very friendly, but they initially overlooked us. The Margherita pizza was a bit bland; the crust was paper-thin. The Black Angus steak was 10/10.

This was our first time here and we have to say we were satisfied with the kitchen's performance. The spinach was a bit salty, but otherwise the food was of good quality and very tasty. The kitchen didn't take long to arrive, and the food was brought to our table quickly after ordering. The service, unfortunately, wasn't to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, we were simply forgotten after our starter, and we had to wait a good 20 minutes for our main course. Unfortunately, no one came to our table during our meal to ask if everything was to our satisfaction or if we had any other requests. We would have liked to order more, but we found the extended wait for the staff quite outrageous, considering that the business was fairly manageable at the time and the staff were well-organized. The reason we were so dissatisfied with the service staff (cashier) is unfortunately a conversation we involuntarily overheard between her and a table near us. It was apparently because another table was quite dissatisfied with their order and thought the food would have tasted different otherwise. The waitress was just upset with these guests and apparently found it ridiculous that they hadn't tipped. We come from the industry ourselves and, based on the conversation we overheard, didn't want to tip ourselves because it's a no-go to have such conversations in front of guests; it's very unprofessional behavior. A quick note about the conversation we overheard: Just because someone is a waiter themselves and knows how difficult or unpleasant the job can sometimes be is no reason to tip someone. Tipping is a way of showing appreciation for good and attentive service. ☝️

The food was excellent, although the pizza was a bit burnt. The service left a lot to be desired. The tray with the glasses and drinks was simply handed out, and everyone had to get their own things.

It used to be really good – but unfortunately, everything has changed for the worse. Pizza today has no soul. Sad ingredients, carelessly topped, and a disappointment in taste. It's a shame what it's become.

We went to Bocca in Dortmund and unfortunately didn't have a great experience. Although the pizza was really delicious, the service was disappointing. We had to call the waitress several times before our order was even taken, and even that took far too long. Because of this poor service experience, we decided not to tip. Unfortunately, we received an annoyed look from the blonde waitress, which further tarnished the overall impression. It's a shame, because the food actually had a lot of potential.

The way the waiters treat you is unbelievably rude. While you’re simply asking if there’s an available table, other waiters push past you from behind and rudely demand you to move—actually, not even asking, but forcefully making their way through. When you ask if it’s possible to combine tables, they respond again with a rude and mocking tone, saying, “Of course not.” I used to go to this place for the good food, but I’ll never go back again. God keep me away from it.

The food was good as always. Unfortunately, it was not possible to order a small margherita listed in the menu IN ADDITION to the two main courses.

We queued outside the cafe and the waiter who greeted us was possibly the rudest person in the world. We were prepared to wait for a table for six, but his rude manner robbed us of any desire to eat. I certainly won't eat there again. The rude employee even waved his finger at us and yelled at us that we were blocking the path. In such circumstances, just because it was a hot and crowded day, you don't have to put up with it. If this continues, you will lose a lot of customers. I won't recommend it to anyone!

Super tasty pizza. Great dough and good fresh taste. Service was quick, unfortunately we didn't get a nice seat despite having a reservation.

We would prefer not to give a star. We were there with 5 people to eat and after we unfortunately only checked the bill later, we noticed that the prices for some dishes differed from those on the menu and online. We tried to call several times and were always put off. Someone was also on site and wanted to discuss this. The waitress admitted that there was a mistake, but she couldn't decide anything and the boss would get in touch. But she never answered and even after calling several times, nothing happened, no call back. I find it a disgrace. We will never eat there again.

The food is really delicious, you don't wait too long, the staff is very friendly. The ambience is very nice, we personally were missing a little music in the background, but that's a matter of taste and has nothing to do with the rating of the restaurant! Very tasty pizza. Service was friendly and quite quick.

We were there with a few friends and overall satisfied. The service staff were friendly, but unfortunately not very attentive and not exactly quick - it took quite a while before we could place our orders. The drinks came relatively quickly. We waited a total of 1 hour for the pizzas and pasta dishes. However, we didn't find the restaurant to be crowded at that time, which would have justified the long waiting time. The pizzas were delicious, the pasta too, and the truffle burger was recommended. However, parmesan was only served with the pasta upon request. It's actually not bad, but if you take prices like that, then the service should be good too. It's also a shame that the food is carelessly prepared. As is well known, the eye also eats. The cocktails were well mixed and worth the money. Compliments to the bartender. Overall, the price-performance ratio isn't quite right.

The salad was very tasty, the cocktail was just average, the Tartufo ice cream was very puny. Overall, unfortunately, a mixed experience!

Location & Atmosphere: The Bocca is in a beautiful location directly on Lake Phönix - ideal for combining a visit to the restaurant with a walk, which we did again this time. The location is really great, but parking in the area is rather difficult. If you come by car, you should allow some time. Starters & other dishes: As a starter we had a mixed sausage and cheese platter, which was of high quality and tasted very good. However, you should like spicier cheese - you won't find milder varieties like Gouda here. Instead, cheese with character is served, which I personally found very exciting. I haven't tried pasta dishes myself, but there was only positive feedback from our group. Everyone was very satisfied - even special requests were implemented in a friendly and problem-free manner. The serving times were absolutely fine: the starter and main course were brought at a comfortable interval - neither too fast nor too long of a wait. Pizza: The pizza is a real highlight for me: thin, crispy base and a voluminous, fluffy edge – exactly my thing. I usually leave the edge or give it away because it's too dry or hard for me. Here it was so delicious that I ate it all. The taste is simply great! Price & Payment: The Bocca is certainly not a bargain in terms of price - but in my opinion the price-performance ratio is right. The quality of the ingredients and the special nature of the dishes justify the price. Important to know: Only card payment is possible - but this is clearly communicated on both the website and the menu, so it's not a surprising negative point. Service & dogs: Dogs are welcome - there were a few in the restaurant and everything was relaxed and problem-free. A nice extra for dog owners! Unfortunately I have to deduct one star for the service: We had reserved a table for 5:30 p.m. and before we were even properly greeted we were told that we had to vacate the table at 7:15 p.m. The information itself is completely legitimate, but the tone made the difference here - friendly and confident would have been completely sufficient. Unfortunately, the waiter seemed very stressed and hectic throughout the evening, which was transferred to the service. The later request to pay and leave was also rather rude and abrupt - a shame, because that somewhat spoiled the otherwise positive impression. Conclusion: It wasn't my first time here - and I'm happy to come back despite the service being expandable. The cuisine is creative, high quality and an exciting alternative to the classic Italian. If you're looking for new combinations, real Neapolitan cuisine and a beautiful ambience, this is the place for you. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

But the real highlight was the pasta: it was cooked perfectly al dente and was dipped in a creamy, velvety white sauce that gave it a luxurious touch. The prawns were fresh, perfectly cooked and tender - they literally melted in the mouth and harmonized wonderfully with the creamy sauce. Each spoonful offered a delicious combination of flavor and texture – an unforgettable experience for pasta and seafood lovers! The service was also excellent - the staff were extremely friendly, attentive and made sure we felt completely at home. The warm and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant made the entire experience even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back - an absolute recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food and a great atmosphere!"

Best gnocchi I have had in a while

We were at this restaurant with 10 people for pizza and we have to give the chef a big compliment: the food was really excellent, beautifully prepared and very tasty. Unfortunately the service was a disaster because a waitress with black hair was extremely rude and not friendly at all. Such behavior ruins the experience for guests and one would expect more knowledgeable and polite staff in an establishment of this caliber. I hope management takes action because with service that lives up to the food it would be a perfect place! I don't usually write reviews but this was the first time.

A must in Hörde if you love pizza. Great location on Lake Phönix, with a great ambience and very good food. If you love hamburgers, you won't miss out.

A modern and smartly decorated restaurant in a good location, with average food and unfriendly staff. The restaurant is modern and well furnished and looks very well maintained and is located in the immediate vicinity of the lake. The food is very nicely prepared, but the taste is rather average and a bit too expensive. Unfortunately, the staff had a bad day because we were insulted several times.

We were really looking forward to it, but were left sitting there for quite a while with our stomachs full of hunger (the waitress was on video chat). Unfortunately, the food wasn't as expected; one pasta dish was too watery, the truffle pasta was tasteless and definitely not in the butter and sage cream as promised. And it was even more expensive than the menu displayed online...

His pizza used to be very good, but now it has definitely deteriorated. The dough is rubbery and not cooked enough, the tomato sauce is too acidic and the mozzarella is of poor quality.. They don't seem to take as much care in their preparations as they used to. The service has also deteriorated. The staff is disorganized and not interested in solving problems. It was once a restaurant that I loved, but now it has turned into a big disappointment. I don't think I will come again..

There was good Neapolitan pizza here two years ago. Unfortunately not anymore, Italian pizza makers have probably turned away. The dough hardly differs from German snack pizza; it is a far cry from Neapolitan dough. The sauce is unseasoned, as is the dough, and it also has a strange aftertaste that is not normal. A very bland, disappointing experience. And the worst of all: half of the pizzas have PARSLEY on them! Dio mio! In very small snippets, unpulpable, unannounced, inedible. No Italian would do that. Very, very unfortunate. We drove 200 km for free and didn't even want to eat half of it. The hair on the pizza no longer surprised me

Pizzeria Urban Style, the place is beautiful and well-kept and the informal atmosphere makes everyone feel comfortable. The pizza is Neapolitan style, baked in a gas oven. There are some classic pizzas, but also others that are more special. I took one of “The Grinch” and didn’t regret it, it was very good! The dough is well leavened and light. The service was very quick, also because the place wasn't very busy when we were there. Overall I was more than satisfied, I will definitely come back to try the other things on the menu and they looked very interesting!

It used to be good, but today it's not at all Italian or even Neapolitan. There is a lack of salt, ingredients not of high quality, dough, tomato sauce and cheese with a strange aftertaste, more like bagged cheese than fior di latte. And you just don't put parsley on pizza. That was... Terrible.

We had food via a delivery service Ordered. The driver also came in the specified time. The friendliness of the driver would have been a close 2 in terms of stars. The food was delicious and there was hardly anything to complain about in terms of appearance. Unfortunately the portions were relatively small and barely warm. Are for over 40 euros with two people Not full. Hence 2/5

I had had pizza. It was very tasty, nothing to complain about. Only card payment possible!!! Ambience is a matter of taste, it is a large room and therefore the background noise is appropriate.

A very nice location. From the ambience to the old service and food, absolutely recommended. The service staff are very attentive, the pizza in this case was very tasty and tasted completely Neapolitan. We were there on Saturday evening, although it was quite busy. No long waiting times either for a table or for the food. Absolutely recommended. We will come back.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and gives you a wonderful feeling of just sitting in Naples, overlooking the water and feasting on a pizza. The pasta dishes are also very tasty and the steaks and the choice of meat leave nothing to be desired. On busy evenings, you can't blame the staff for having fewer people at the table, but otherwise very, very nice people who listen and are friendly. Dessert was excellent

Napo Pizza was OK, but nothing special. Pricewise upper league, but probably suitable for Phoenixsee. Servcie was completely hectic, almost running through the store, that was simply not enough staff (2 waiters for the fully occupied store). We won't be coming back for the reasons mentioned. The most important thing in food is the taste and unfortunately that was completely missing here, because with a pizza and especially with a Neapolitan pizza, it is the dough. And unfortunately the dough here was almost tasteless, relatively tough on the outside (you could also tell that from the other guests, they bit into it relatively hard, with appropriate facial expressions) and too soft/flaky in the middle, perhaps because the topping was a bit too rich. That's just the problem if the dough isn't good, because that's what Napo Pizza depends on, then all the flavor has to come from the toppings and then you need more.

Mega tasty and super unusual pizzas!

We were seated by the restaurant manager at the last table on the gallery directly next to the kitchen (apparently there is no other option with a dog). The table was almost directly next to the toilets and therefore all guests always had to walk right past this table. There was also a ventilation directly above the table that was so loud that you could hardly hold a conversation. After half an hour, a door was opened at the back of the aisle to ventilate the entire restaurant. We were cold all the time and it was only when we asked the service person that the door was closed later. After leaving the restaurant, our things smelled as if we had been working on the deep fryer in the kitchen. When we asked, they didn't even try to assign us another table at the end. It's really a shame to even offer this table to guests. For a Valentine's Day and a bill of over 120 euros for two people, it was a big disappointment. Nevertheless, I would like to say that the food and our waiter were really good.

The restaurant is nice, good location, very nicely decorated. Unfortunately I have to say that the pasta is not really convincing (calling it Italian cuisine is too far-fetched, sorry 👎🏽). The pizza was also small and burnt black

Excellent pizza, the tiramisu was also delicious. I'd love to come back.

I was at Bocca today. It started with the greeting; Instead of feeling welcome, it was more like being eaten off for breakfast. Then the order came. Since I knew that the pizzas were good, I wanted to try the pasta - said and done. When the noodles came, I was disappointed. Do you know that feeling when you heat up pasta and you're at the end of it and there's still some leftover pasta in the pot? That's exactly how they tasted. Nice with a harder edge, partly etc. So bad. I did finish it because you don't throw food away, but that kind of quality is even less acceptable in a restaurant. So my conclusion: Yes, you can make pizza, but definitely not pasta. Sad but true, I expected more. You're lucky I was even willing to pay the normal price for it.

The food was not tasty and the pizza had a strange taste... The menu looks bad, there are not many options to eat... There are other restaurants better than here..
