One of the best places I've been to in a long time. Extremely delicious, intense, and varied. Perfect for eating and sharing with (really!) people. I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in Dortmund again! Wow

I didn't know jiaozi could be so delicious! This has altered what I think of the whole concept. And the duck was stunning as well, the spicy and sweet sauce worked perfectly. The tapas restaurant concept was novel, but even despite the whole concept restaurant thing, and the immensely tasty food, the prices were super reasonable, affordable even. Will absolutely come back here again.

An Asian restaurant with a difference...for the eyes and the taste buds...Not the first and last time here....

The food was okay. The steamed dumplings were very tasty. The duck was breaded and deep-fried. Huge portion, but dry and greasy. The yellow sauce that comes with the main course is extremely sour. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but very dark. You can't see much. The service was friendly.

9.0/10 Food was very good, not you typical Chinese food. They offer various dumplings, soup dumplings as well as veggie & meat skewers and hot & cold starters. Would recommend getting the meat spring rolls, just be careful as they’re filled super hot broth. If you’re not good with spice stay away from the Sichuan skewers as the broth is pretty spicy. Dumplings and soup dumplings were pretty interesting and tasty. Will go back again!

Visited there for the first time with a small group. The welcome was super friendly and communicative. Our drink order was promptly fulfilled. The food was beautifully presented, everything was delicious, and the handmade dumplings were very flavorful. The menu is focused on tapas, and sharing is encouraged. The food was fresh and very aromatic. I really liked the ambiance; the restaurant isn't very large, but it was very cozy and offers a peaceful atmosphere. One minor negative for me: it's very unassuming from the outside and doesn't look particularly well-maintained, but this is compensated for by the warmth and coziness once you enter. The menu could be a bit more structured. I really enjoyed it, and I'll be back again.

We were thrilled. A Chinese chef who presented the dishes in a tapas style. The service was excellent; everything was explained in detail, not intrusive but always present. The concept stands out from the monotony of Chinese cuisine. The trip to the Forbidden City was worth it. We'll be back and highly recommend NomoreRice.

Nomorerice in Dortmund is simply a culinary highlight! The beautiful interior immediately catches your eye – especially the dreamy umbrellas on the ceiling create a cozy yet stylish atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious, but special praise goes to the dumplings – fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The menu offers a great selection, with something for everyone. If I could wish for something else, it would be hand-pulled noodles – they would fit the concept perfectly. But even without them, Nomorerice is definitely a place I'll visit again and again. I highly recommend it!

The food was delicious. I love dumplings ❤️ I especially like the lamb and apricot dumplings. Lovingly shaped dumplings in bright colors and juicy fillings. Pleasant atmosphere—it's always a matter of taste, great dishes, and attention to detail. The homemade drinks taste great and are a real eye-catcher. On the way to the restroom, you can watch the chef at work through the glass pane. 😇 The only problem is that I want to eat so many dumplings there that it's definitely beyond my budget! 🤣 The price range is a bit higher. But it's worth it! Treat yourself! 😍

Wow, wow, wow A classic Asian restaurant with a modern interpretation. I'm blown away. The restaurant presents itself as a tapas bar, but not Spanish, but Chinese. The rooms are beautifully decorated, modern and not too kitschy, classic Chinese parasols hang from the ceilings and many small unusual details point to the restaurant's Chinese origins. The service is very friendly and answers any questions you may have about the menu. There are all kinds of soft drinks, but also home-made ones. I can't say whether there is a disabled toilet, but the toilets in the lower area are beautiful and clean. There is a special surprise when you go down the stairs. All the dishes are very tasty, but you should remember that Asian food can sometimes be spicy. But thankfully not too spicy for the European palate. I would particularly like to mention the dumplings, they are excellent, but even if you don't really like a dish or drink, the staff is very friendly. Our visit to NoMoreRice was super great!😊 The desserts are also classic Asian desserts with an unusual touch. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We came here just to try it out, but we were very disappointed. The food was tasty, but not even close to the price-performance ratio. We were very surprised when we received our food - especially since, for example, we ordered “2 rolls of dough” but received 2 half rolls of dough. Then there is the option of calling up the menu via a QR code - ok, it's modern these days, but we were offered to have the "large menu" given to us, but it was a crumpled (in the truest sense of the word) DinA4 format, i.e. a ball of paper. When we asked about the idea for presenting the paper ball, we were told that the owners found the whole thing “fancy”. The ambience is not recommended from our side. After paying the bill, the service person left faster than you could see him at the table, no farewell. Thanks, but we won't visit again.

El llamado Pato de Bejing estaba lejos del original - pequeño y frío. Las bebidas llegaron tarde y al 50% no como se había pedido. Desafortunadamente, no puedo recomendar este lugar.

Had the Beijing duck— it was okay. As someone originally from Beijing, I found the taste, especially the pancakes, not quite traditional. However, it seems like the restaurant’s concept is to offer non-traditional Chinese food, and for that, it wasn’t bad. A bit on the pricey side, but overall, it was alright. I wouldn’t order the duck again, but I might try other dishes. Also, the selection for vegetarians who can’t do spicy food is quite limited.

We have been to No More Rice several times and always enjoy coming back! We especially love the pork belly, the fresh salads and the super delicious dimsum, always a treat. The cocktails are also consistently delicious and go perfectly with the food. The ambience is cozy and has a very special atmosphere with the Asian umbrellas as decoration. The shop is small, but that's exactly what makes it so authentic. We particularly appreciate that the dishes don't correspond to the standard, but are sometimes surprising and different than you expect. The prices are a little higher, so you should be prepared for that, but the quality absolutely justifies it. We're excited about the new menu and look forward to trying it out soon. Clear recommendation for anyone who loves authentic Asian cuisine!

The waiter cheats with the bill without any sense of shame. He enters the wrong amount for the bill and gives less than the amount in a smaller amount.

Great store. Great, exciting food. It was very tasty and everything from the ambience to the service was perfect. 👍🏻 Rather in the upper price segment, but at the same time good value for money. Very friendly staff. Gladly again! (Attention: “spicy” and “hot spicy” are to be taken seriously here! 🌶️😄)

My favorite restaurant for special occasions. It's not cheap, but absolutely worth it. The more people come, the better, because then you can order everything on the menu and share. 😁

Die recht guten Kritiken brachten uns in diesen Laden. Die Einrichtung war nett, der Rest nicht. Die sog. Pekingente war recht dürftig und stark überteuert. Der Service schlecht. Die Getränke kamen spät, häufig erst nach zweiter Erinnerung. Teller u. ä. wurden erst nach Aufforderung abgeräumt. Das Management hier sollte klar mal zur Schulung oder besser ausgetauscht werden. Braucht man alles nicht.

Pleasant place pleasant dish but in too small a quantity the grilled duck was good but without the caramel it was much better

I left a request when making the reservation to please organize a little something for my partner's birthday if possible. I didn't even expect it to be read. When we arrived we were greeted and served very friendly. The reserved place was decorated a bit ceremoniously and the extremely nice waiter brought my friend a “birthday soup” and explained to us a Chinese tradition that was used on birthdays with this noodle soup. I found that super attentive and friendly. Apart from that, the food tasted fantastic throughout and the atmosphere was very interesting and pleasant.

Von außen eher nüchtern, innen aber recht nett eingerichtet. Seit dem letzten Besuch haben aber Qualität und vor allem der Service stark gelitten. Das Service-Team schaffte es so eben, das spärlich besetzte Restaurant zu bedienen. Leider kam das Essen nach längerem Warten lauwarm bis kalt an den Tisch. Getränke dito. Da passen Preis und Leistung leider nicht mehr zusammen. Schade.

It was a very successful birthday with several taste explosions! We had the fresh Peking duck menu and I was really impressed! The thin pancakes combined with fresh vegetables and honeydew melon strips were the perfect combination with the meat. But the dumplings were also delicious! Due to the very relaxed and personal service, people were happy to tip a little more!

Wir gingen hier wegen der guten Bewertungen hin. Die Inneneinrichtung war auch recht nett, danach wurde es dann leider schlechter. Der Service dauerte sehr lange - trotz halb vollem Restaurant und 4 Mitarbeitern im Servicebereich. Die Getränke waren eher warm. Das Essen kam nach geraumer Zeit, allerdings schrittweise und fast kalt. Kurzum: Das Geld nicht wert. Leider.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr freundliches Personal und vor allem sehr schmackhaftes Essen. Wir haben zu dritt für ca. 40 Euro pro Person gegessen und getrunken (Snow Beer, Tee und hausgemachte Limo) und waren wirklich alle total satt und zufrieden. Etwas überrascht waren wir von der „Last Order“ um 21:30 Uhr. Also früh genug kommen 😉

Ausgezeichnete Qualität zu einem fairen Preis. Alle Speisen wurden super frisch serviert und waren extrem lecker. Große Empfehlung!

That was absolutely fantastic. We were warmly welcomed. The waiter took the time to explain the concept to us, offered to hand over the digital card as well as a paper one and answered all of our questions. Overall the service was very good. Prompt, nice and error-free - absolutely everything was done right. Yes and then to the star of the evening - the food. It was simply incredibly fantastic and delicious. Everything fresh, no convenience. Nevertheless, the food arrived quickly. My highlight was the braised pork belly and the beef dumplings. Everything looked beautiful, had great spiciness and was an experience in terms of taste. Yes, you leave a little more money there, so this won't be my most frequent visit, but it was still completely worth it. Thank you for doing this and being a real alternative.

Modern and stylish Chinese restaurant. Creative dishes, mostly delicious and nice to look at. Some dumplings were a little bit dry. Prices per dish seem to be okay but they add up. For 3 pax we paid roughly €170 with only one alcoholic free cocktail.

So I just ordered it today and thought you couldn't go wrong with these reviews. But everything turned out differently than expected. At first when the guy brought me the food I thought he was leaving me... he forgot a bag. But no, that was all I ordered. Couldn't believe it. The portions of the dishes were too small even for infants. Even if there were any stimulants in the dish it wouldn't be worth this price. So really small. The taste was okay except for the dessert... that brings us to the next thing. Dr Oetker is gourmet level compared to this dessert. So I really don't know how you can do that. An 8 year old who is blind in both eyes would have made a better dessert than you...just buy Dr Oetker. You still make 300% profit at these prices. Delivery time was okay but I think that was due to Cabdo. I've rarely been so disappointed and I've had one or two cases of food poisoning. But they were worlds cheaper, not better, but at least to be expected You have to know

This was our first time at No more Rice. Actually we came to eat the Peking duck. Unfortunately this is only possible with 3 days' notice, but of course we still found something on the menu! First of all we had the filled dumplings with duck and chicken, which not only looked great but also tasted great. The salad with cucumber and grapes was also very tasty, something completely different. For the main course we had the whole duck (not Peking style). The sauce on the plate was sweet & sparkling, it wasn't my cup of tea. The tingling sensation lasted a long time and distracted from the taste of the duck. Next time we would order the sauce separately. Unfortunately, the broccoli wasn't to our liking either, it was cold and hard. The waitress told us that this was actually how it was supposed to be. The duck tasted great but was unfortunately cold. We also noted this and the service reacted very confidently. The waitress shared our comment with the restaurant manager (I assume it was him) and we got dessert on the house! That was really, really tasty. All in all, we were satisfied and will definitely come back again!

The strawberry salad was ordered twice , we were wowed by the taste , dumplings were also tasty properly we preferred some over the others but in general they were good, the duck looked super good but we didn’t like that it had a sweet taste. Friendly service and nice interiors.

The food is good, although the quality of the different dishes varies. The prices are above average and the service unfortunately - especially considering the prices quoted - is quite inattentive and rather slow.

After several recommendations, we have now made it here. Unfortunately, I can't share this recommendation because the price-performance ratio really isn't right. Visually everything was very nicely presented but in terms of taste everything was very flat At the beginning the service was very good and everything was explained how and what we can order and how we have to do it. But after the first order we also had to watch for a waiter to come to our table again. The furniture is all very worn out. It looks nice, but with cobwebs in between it's not so great anymore, lots of dust. The stairs down even have a walkway from dust, I don't even want to get started on the sanitary facilities. Overall a disappointment I won't come back and won't recommend it!

The restaurant is not immediately visible from the outside, but this adds to its hidden charm. Conclusion: A real tip for everyone who wants to enjoy something special in a relaxed atmosphere.

The food is simply heavenly. The dumplings are definitely my highlight. If you like Asian food you definitely have to stop by here. The ambience is relaxing and beautifully done.

Wirklich tolles Restaurant! Super Essen in wirklich guter Qualität! Einige Produkte sind etwas teuer, aber die angebotenen Speisen waren wirklich außergewöhnlich lecker! Das Restaurant ist nicht überladen und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet! Service war sehr freundlich, aber an der ein oder anderen Stelle sollten sie etwas aufmerksamer sein, habe ein Getränk nicht bekommen dann, steht den 5 Punkten nichts im Wege. Alles in allem aber sehr zu empfehlen. An der Parkplatzsituation sollte man arbeiten, vielleicht auf der Seite direkt auf das Edeka Parkhaus verweisen. Wir sind 20 Minuten herumgekurvt, aber dafür kann das Restaurant natürlich nichts! Ansonsten schöner Abend!!!

Tapas of a slightly different kind are offered here. Everything we ordered was extremely tasty and the selection of vegan dishes is really large. We were a large group and the store was full, so we sometimes had to wait for service. But all in all an absolute recommendation!

First of all, you have to note that this is a type of “Chinese tapas”: small portions of good quality in an upscale price category. The food is of a higher quality than in other Chinese places, but there is not much choice for vegetarians in the first three “tapas” categories, namely only one vegan dish. You can also order whole dishes (a la carte), but you should probably do that because we didn't really get full from the three vegan/vegetarian dishes. The dessert looked artistically very high quality, but in terms of taste we actually get the white chocolate mousse better at home. However, a special shock awaits the guest at the end: the bill is served in “The Little Red Book” (The Mao Bible of the Chinese Communists) - you can take the book home with you and anyone who can speak Chinese will be happy to be able to take a manifesto from a mass murderer with them. We found the whole thing very tasteless and will no longer eat at a restaurant that romanticizes communism.

Very tasty, whether vegan or not. Thanks to the "tapas" concept, you try quite a lot of the menu, which I like very much. This way you can quickly see which things on the menu are overwhelmingly good. The staff responds to requests. Unfortunately, it is quite expensive, so we can rarely afford it.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and we can definitely recommend the food. The soup was a bit too salty. Hence a star deduction. The service offered us an alternative to make a new soup. We chose something else instead. We will come again.

Relaxed music, appealing ambience, the service is very pleasant. Dishes served very nicely. For my husband's birthday, they even served an extra soup with 2 meter long noodles, which symbolizes a long life, and decorated the table with Happy Birthday and a heart, my husband was pleasantly surprised... As the name suggests, there are no rice dishes. Overall you have to understand the concept like Chinese tapas, so there are lots of small portions, although in my opinion a bit expensive for the size of each portion. However, the ambience is quite nice. The staff friendly.

Wir waren das erste mal hier an einem Freitag Abend. Man wird von der Bedienung freundlich gegrüsst und die Menü Karten holt man sich per Smartphone aufs Handy per QR Code auf den Tisch. Eine Reservierung ist empfehlenswert gerade am Wochenende. Wenn man mehr als 2 Stunden benötigt muss man vorher bescheid geben. Wir empfehlen die Teigtaschen in verschiedenen Füllungen zu bestellen besonders die mit Entenfüllung. Klasse ist auch bei Knuspriges der Brokkoli oder die Entenstreifen. Die Eigenkreation bei den Getränken hat uns auch gefallen (Kokosmilch, Limette, Zitronengras). Gerne kommen wir wieder.

The "No More Rice" in Dortmund is a real discovery! Perhaps inconspicuous from the outside, an atmosphere like being on holiday awaits you inside. Dozens of Chinese umbrellas decorate the ceiling and the tables are made from old red Chinese doors - simply impressive. We were immediately warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Reservations via the website are highly recommended. The selection of vegan dishes is large and sounds very exciting, which was a crucial reason for us to come here. The concept is refreshingly different: Not a classic snack bar, but more of a high-level Chinese tapas bar with first-class service. There are many small dishes, each with a special twist in taste. We were particularly impressed by the loving and detailed design of the entire restaurant. Even the way to the toilet is a surprise and beautifully done - let yourself be surprised! Overall, our visit to “No More Rice” was a real highlight. An absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy high-quality Chinese cuisine in a special atmosphere!

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal hier, aufgrund der vielen guten Bewertungen. Ich muss sagen dass das Essen wirklich ausgefallen und gut ist. Allerdings finde ich über 10 Euro für ein Portiönchen Pak Choi schon unverhältnismäßig teuer… der Service ist freundlich aber da ist noch ne Menge Luft nach oben. Alles in allem: sehr gutes Essen aber preislich schon über der Schmerzgrenze für Dortmund

Was there for the first time today, was warmly welcomed and asked at the table if I knew what it was, short talk had Juaozi with beef, soup with beef which was absolute Hammet, good. Dumplings and duck strips and as a drink the hammer served in a Borum glass Ided with yuzu, honey and mint a dream in all a really great evening I'll be back tomorrow if possible next door at the furniture fitter.

Well, the shop itself is very interesting, the waitresses are all very nicely dressed, even if it seems a little plain at first glance, the overall picture in the shop makes a very classy impression. However, the prices are more for the “upscale” class. For 2 small dishes and a soda (0.33l) €18.30... that's a challenge at its best. I absolutely can't complain about the taste. On the contrary, the dumplings taste absolutely brilliant and fresh, are beautifully juicy and, thanks to the saffron threads, are a dream. However, you just have to calculate €50 per person to get full. For someone who just wants to get to know something new, it would be better to come here with friends and everyone orders something and then shares it like tapas. (Even then you may still be hungry) For a giant like me, it's unfortunately difficult to get full at a "decent" price. But for the taste experience it was worth it to me. I only had one problem: the knife edge was 80% worn and therefore blunt, the baked triangles of dough were too tight to grip properly with the chopsticks, and the blunt knife gave me a slight struggle.

Four of us were there for dinner in the evening! We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and escorted to the table. The dishes are clearly laid out, there is a QR code card but it is very complicated, it's good that there is still a paper card! The tapas concept is super cool and is absolutely sociable! The dishes were all very tasty and appetizingly prepared! Conclusion: for a sociable, casual evening!

We wanted to eat dumplings and that's how we came up with NoMoreRice. The ambience of the shop is really nice, especially the umbrellas on the ceiling are beautiful, but also the cutlery and crockery, everything is harmonious. We liked almost all of the food, but it was quite expensive for very little food, so that 2 adults are really full and 2 nice drinks each costs just under €100. My favorite was a kind of crispy spring roll, which was divided into two parts for 7.90, which unfortunately was very little, and the pineapple salad with garlic and mint. The dumplings in the supper were also great, but the ones filled with tofu were a little too tasteless for us. All in all, I would definitely go there again, but more for a tasty snack than if I was very hungry and I would also recommend it to others.

Foods are soooooo good....especially the crispy Triangle and flower ban were the top notch. Shrimp dumping with coconut was also good with chilli oil. You will find a little China there. There hospitality was so nice. Decoration is beautifully organised. Overall it was a nice experience. Highl recommended it. Worth every single penny if you eat there.

Very tasty Chinese tapas with lots of vegan options! We liked the cauliflower and broccoli best from the small/warm category, and the yeast dough flowers and edamame with cumin were also very tasty. The cool in-house drink creations are particularly recommended (we had mango-mint and lemongrass-coconut-kaffir lime). We were able to have the teas re-infused free of charge (we had jasmine flowers and roasted corn, both made from fresh ingredients! Not a “ready-made tea”). Unfortunately the prices are relatively high in relation to the portion size, but it's worth it. The desserts were heavenly and the cooking was very quick, we didn't have to wait long. Thanks!

Food was good, but I'm not sure if the waiting time and price were reasonable. I found the yeast flower tastiest :) The dough triangles, however, are very weak. The homemade iced tea/soda was initially good, but the taste wasn't my thing and the syrup didn't really dissolve. The ambience is harmonious and good. Unfortunately, it has already been significantly affected (broken facade/leader, broken paper umbrellas)

Yes, no, it doesn't have to happen again. Reserved for 7:30 p.m., ordered at 7:45 p.m. 6 servings of dumplings. The food arrived at 8:30 p.m. It was okay, but with some types (pork) you could clearly taste that it had already been frozen. Then tried the dough triangles. 9€ for 3 pieces is an announcement. It was tasty, but not the best in terms of price/performance. Then ordered round 2. It was still okay, but it all took so long again. In the end we canceled the last round of drinks that hadn't arrived after 20 minutes and paid. The ambience was definitely great, the umbrellas on the ceiling and the spoons on the wall were something. However: thick cobwebs in between, paint peeling off on the outside, one of the lamps above our table didn't work. In the end we left around €40 per person and I'm still hungry. It really doesn't have to happen again.

Very inconspicuous from the outside. But it's awesome from the inside. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly courteous staff. Food freshly prepared and super tasty. A wonderful experience.

Chinese cuisine with a difference.

The furnishings and crockery, cutlery, etc. are unfortunately pretty shabby, but the service lady makes a lot of effort to explain the food and often checks to see if you want to order anything else. In terms of taste, I found it to be rather average. We won't come back.

We had booked a table, which didn't seem necessary at the time. But from around 5:45 p.m. it was so full that it made sense to me to definitely do this. The waitress explained the store concept to us in a friendly and understandable way. Each of us ordered a few small things that were brought to the table as they were ready in the kitchen (which was unusual for me but worked very well). The food was without exception delicious and the service was top notch. This is a great place to go and indulge in a culinary adventure.

Very dignified facility, friendly and attentive staff

Were there for the first time today. The food was very tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired. A little more pep, enthusiasm and attention would be nice.
