Nomad in Berlin

Went there for brunch and left in a bad mood. It was busy, which is understandable, but we waited over an hour for our food while tables that arrived after us were served, ate, and left. No one came over to explain the delay or check in. We ordered more drinks while waiting, but they never showed up. Food finally came, we ate without drinks, waited a bit longer, then just decided to leave. When we asked to remove the drinks we never got, one of the bartenders gave us attitude. Honestly, the service was awful. The food was fine, but not worth the wait or the attitude.

Great atmosphere, fine cuisine and friendly service!

The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, and you immediately feel at home. The staff is incredibly friendly, and you don't have to wait long for your order. The food is outstanding. I had the pulled beef sandwich 10/10. I got full marks, thank you, Team NOMAD!

The food is not good enough to tolerate the absolutely terrible service. They forgot to order our food, we waited over an hour, people that arrived after us, got their food, ate it and left, and we were still waiting they and when we asked they were just incredibly rude. Some drinks just didn’t arrive at all.

Glorious place. The savoury pancakes were unreal. The service was friendly and the coffee was also excellent. I recommend trying the Raf coffee, which was incredibly sweet and satisfying. We stayed for another round of drinks after breakfast!

Super trendy place – even though some tables are free, you have to wait a while to be seated. You generally need time when visiting here… The menu is very small and select (which we found particularly appealing). We ordered two different dishes and were really impressed with the taste. The combination of the pancakes with salty bacon and sweet maple syrup is truly unique and we've never tasted anything like it before! Great! The service is unfortunately very slow and not very attentive – we decided to go up front to pay, because otherwise we would have probably had to wait twice as long as for the food.

Very good food and a cozy and quiet atmosphere. We tried Shakshuka and eggs Benedict. The portions are quite big. We can also recommend the juice.

We've been going to Nomad for a long time, as it's our favorite brunch spot in Berlin. The attention to detail is evident here – the dishes are elevated to the next level with spices and skillful combinations. The stylish Scandi decor and pleasant music make it hard to leave. The staff are also 10/10, and dogs are welcome. We last visited Nomad in the evening – and although our expectations were already high based on many positive experiences, the dinner absolutely delighted us – with even more depth, creativity, and flavor. An absolute recommendation – and not just for brunch!

I did not like the food or the drinks. I only tried the dessert. The avocado sourdough was burnt black and the food had no taste. The flavor was bitter and the bread was hot. I do not recommend it.

I ordered gluten-free bread for extra money and got half the bread size of the normal version. Long wait time aswell

Stepping up to global standards is what you wish for a place called Nomad. Thankfully, it all happens here. Carefully composed dishes with balanced flavours, bold enough to not need lipstick visual tricks. The salad on the scrambled eggs gets a special mention. Give me a big bowl of that any day. Far from the tired greens thrown on most cafe dishes, these greens are spanking fresh and dressed to thrill, with mustard seeds playing a starring role. A service let down marred an otherwise excellent performance and good coffee topped the mountain of our Global expectations.

That's food is good, but unfortunately the service is subpar :( We had reserved a table, but the table was not ready when we arrived at the agreed time. That's still okay and can happen sometimes. We initially waited inside and when, after about ten minutes, we saw that the table and chairs were outside, we politely asked again whether we could sit at the table. We were told in an unfriendly tone by an employee that this still wasn't possible because “the table wasn't ready yet”. We had to stand for another 5 minutes before we were finally allowed to sit down at the table. The “not finished” referred - as it turned out - to putting down a wooden box with cutlery and a salt shaker, because nothing more was done at the table. It was not clear why it would not have been possible to seat us at the table without this wooden box (especially for guests with a reservation!). This is not how you treat guests, especially guests who have a reservation and who have to wait despite having a reservation.

World class breakfast! Granola and shakschuka were super tasty. Come again!

Nice cozy place the food was very tasty. Portions fill you up and the service is very nice. Always happy to come back again. We were spontaneous but also got a place. Next time I would make a reservation as it seems to be a very popular shop.

The Nomad is more than just a place to eat, it is truly unique in Berlin and the surrounding area. Anyone who sits down here doesn't feel like a guest, but rather like they are staying with good friends in the stylishly furnished living room. No trace of cool professionalism, here a feel-good atmosphere meets impressive culinary quality. The price-performance ratio is remarkably good. Not only do you get excellent cuisine on your plate, but you also get an overall experience that is harmonious and well thought out without seeming aloof. The dishes impress with honest sophistication and seasonal freshness, served with real passion. The service is particularly noteworthy: attentive, charming, to the point. Never pushy, never artificial, instead pleasantly relaxed, but with the necessary know-how, which is particularly important when it comes to wine. The wine list is finely curated, with character and soul. A real insider tip is the “elephant in a china shop” rosé, perfect for summer evenings and long conversations. Anyone who visits this restaurant will quickly notice: there is no comparable place in Berlin. And maybe that's exactly the biggest compliment :)

Amazing atmosphere. The food was delicious, with well-balanced flavors and delightful presentation. The service was friendly and attentive. This experience showed me how a high caliber restaurant really works. Definitely a place I want to return to.

Nomad Berlin – Surprisingly strong breakfast experience The decision was actually quite spontaneous: I looked on Google in the morning to see what was good for breakfast - and ended up at Nomad Berlin. When I entered I was a little skeptical at first: the store seemed like a typical “hipster spot” to me, a little too staged. But this initial reluctance was quickly outshone by the food. We ordered the scrambled egg and the braised beef – and what came to the table was well thought out and excellently prepared. Both dishes were harmonious down to the last detail: salty, sweet and savory flavors combined with exciting textures. A real taste experience – creative, but not artificial. A dream breakfast! The coffee was good, although not the “highlight of life” – solid, in other words. My friend raved even more about the matcha, and for me personally the tea refill for €1 was a real plus - you rarely see that. In short: The Nomad Berlin was our culinary highlight during our stay in Berlin. If you're looking for breakfast at the highest level, you'll definitely find what you're looking for here - and if you're not put off by the hip exterior, you'll be rewarded.

The menu is very interesting and portions and quality of food are good. However I find very cheeky that I am charged 2,5€ for a glass of water, specially when I specifically ordered what I thought it was a bottle. Only for this I won't go back.

Very rude service. We were told we could wait for a table, but when one became available, the waiter rudely said we had only one hour. We left. Totally disrespectful.

Excellent experience at Nomad. The food was delicious, the prices were fair and the service was kind and attentive. Sweetbreads: my only complain is that there were not more of them 😅, they are not commonly in menus and not so easy to get right. Meatballs: a complete surprise when we bit into them, delicious, and the mayonnaise was also amazing. Pupking: great caramelisation and great pairing with the ricotta. Lamb: not hugely abound at but tasty, the puree was super good. Cant wait to come back and try the brunch! We spent €68.

The pancakes and the smashed avocado really tasted very good – I can especially highly recommend the pancakes! The atmosphere was calm and clean, and the service was attentive and friendly. A small negative point, however, was the somewhat dusty air, which was probably due to the many artificial flowers.

So there I was- emotionally unstable, under-caffeinated, and spiritually dehydrated when I stumbled into this tiny oasis of espresso excellence. I ordered a lavender Raf coffee, mostly because it sounded like something rich people drink on yachts in the Mediterranean. Was it the silky texture? The lavender-scented hallucinations? I don’t know. But what I do know is that for those five glorious sips, I transcended time. I was floating. I was emotionally held. Also, the barista? Absolute angel. Sweet, patient, and made me feel like I was the only human on Earth deserving of such a majestic beverage. I said, “Thank you,” and they said, “Enjoy,” I haven’t known peace like that since pre-2019. 10/10. Highly recommend if you enjoy being emotionally overwhelmed by a hot beverage made with love and maybe a little magic.

The food was ok. Given the prices, more on the plate would be possible. At least the bread should be included. Service, partly friendly but unfortunately also partly incompetent. Conclusion: It will remain a one-time visit.

Pancakes don't work at all. Super sweet, no fresh fruit and it tastes artificial (like the passion fruit smoothie). That for 14€?!? Sorry, doesn't work at all...

The service, atmosphere and quality of food is unbeatable at this price point. We ordered the ribeye and a glass of red wine. Definitely recommend a visit if you happen to be in Berlin.

What a gem. Yumms! and Yes! Go there and be as pleasantly surprised as we were by the drinks (the cocktails!) and the food. Classic, with a fancy twist, and just really good flavors. Service was great, too. Very personable. We will be back for sure!

The food was very tasty and decent portions. Ambiance on a Tuesday lunchtime was calm and relaxed. I think that €5 for 0.5l of water from a carafe (unclear whether tap water or a bottle) is far too expensive.

The food was pretty tasty. A bit much bread for me but that's complaining at a very high level and of course also a matter of taste :) Everything on the bread was really great. The pancakes were amazing 🥰 Price performance is also really great.

I have rarely experienced such good and friendly service. For that reason alone I would go there again and again, but the food was also wonderful and sophisticated. A real recommendation!

We had brunch at Nomad Berlin and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is amazing—beautiful, aesthetically pleasing interior with great vibes. The service was kind and attentive, and while it was quite busy, they handled everything well. Our drinks took a bit of time, but it wasn’t an issue. I had the scrambled egg bowl with bacon and a side of fries, while my friend had the shakshuka. The dishes were classic brunch staples but had an interesting twist that made them stand out. The quality was great, and the pricing felt fair for what we got. Definitely a place I’d return to!

Nice place to visit with a small but very well thought-out menu (lunch menu). Ample choices to cater for just about anyone from young to old. The drinks menu is also varied enough for all. Absolutely must book if you intend to eat there over the weekend, especially during the weekend lunch rush, as it gets very busy most weekends. Had an excellent cappuccino and mint tea for not unreasonable prices overall. Foodwise, my eggs benedict, and my wife's shakshuka were both really rather good. The only issue we had was with the speed of service. Out food arrived about 30 minutes or so from when we ordered, and the drinks, my cappuccino in particular, took 15 minutes to get the table, which is far too long. I then asked for sugar and waited another 5 minutes before going up myself to get it. So, in summary, no better than 3* for service, which brings the overall down to 4*. As long as you're not in a terrible hurry, highly recommended for a Sunday brunch.

Requires time (service a bit long). Be careful, if you are not too “sweet” the sweet portions are very sweet (as Frenchies…😅).

My wife and I had a brunch after a long trip, and it really made our morning! We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Pulled Beef Sandwich- it was amazing! The flavor combinations were spot on; the Pulled Beef Sandwich had a bit of spice from the sambal mayo, the pickled onions gave it a bit of sour, and the avocado creme tied it all together perfectly on that nice piece of bread! For me (a meat lover), the perfect brunch! - and for all the vegetarians and vegans out there, do not worry - almost all the brunch options come also as a vege or gluten free option! Great coffee (Americana) together with a nice black tea. All of that for a really reasonable price considering it's Berlin! Definitely will come back for more!

Cozy Evening with Great Food at Nomad, a new addition to our neighbourhood. So happy about this new dinner place! Nomad’s new dinner service was a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, with some real standout dishes. The tuna crudo was fresh and well-balanced, and the bitterballen were crispy with a rich filling. The roasted pumpkin was a great surprise—simple but packed with flavour. And looks like a piece of art. For mains, the cod was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the roasted cabbage showed how good a humble ingredient can be when done right. Added to my grocery shopping list. The atmosphere was cozy, making for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. The wine selection was great, with great options at unexpectedly reasonable prices. Definitely a place worth revisiting. Service was excellent!

Our waiter was very nice and personable. The taste of the food was very tasty, unfortunately the information was missing that it is better to order a side dish with the lamb, as otherwise it is just some meat with half a carrot. Dessert was very tasty and the slightly longer wait was particularly worth it

Stumbled across it by chance and was totally thrilled. We got a spontaneous spot for brunch on Sunday morning. The dishes are very original and fantastically prepared, the coffee is A1. These are well-deserved five stars and an absolute recommendation in the area around the Nordbahnhof.

Good food but, as expected, unfortunately small portions at high prices: ) Unfortunately, we also had unfriendly service and after we had finished eating we were asked to leave the restaurant to make room for the next guests, which was very irritating, we actually wanted to have a relaxed chat and enjoy our Sunday. It's very loud and cramped inside. A positive thing was a free cookie that we got when an order was forgotten, we probably won't come back :)

Cocky service but delicious food Booked a table in advance (which I would strongly recommend) Quite a lot of tables are squeezed next to each other, so it's not for a private or intimate meal. I had the pulled beef sandwich and fries to share. The food is DELICIOUS. However, the service is very slow, not particularly nice, and I had to keep trying to get attention, ask for sugar, salt, pepper, etc. I asked multiple times for some water before I'd get some, and the food took forever and came after the table next to us got theirs, although they ordered later. No check back on food or if you wanted anything else. This whole meal was almost wasted on asking or trying to get the attention from a waiter, although there were plenty around. Quire pricey It's a shame as the food is 5 stars!!

Amazing Avo Bread! Reservations possible

An evening with somewhat mixed feelings. We were there on Valentine's Day in the evening, where a prefixed menu was offered. This was paid for in advance and we had a reservation for 9 p.m. Unfortunately we had to wait 50 minutes until we could finally get to our table. The service team made an effort and after 40 minutes of waiting we were served a Prosecco, but there was still a lot of chaos at times. While several tables were already free, the re-setting and cleaning of the tables was forgotten and everything else was taken care of. So we stood outside in the cold or in the restaurant entrance with about 8 other couples who had all made reservations for 9 p.m. for over three quarters of an hour. The food was very good. Creative dishes that were super tasty. Unfortunately, there was a bit of miscommunication between the vegetarian/vegan/normal menu. But an effort was made. Drinks were also great. Overall it was ok. Hopefully it was an exception to what was actually a good concept.

What a wonderful surprise of a find! We stopped by for brunch and everything was perfect. The setting is very pretty in a nice neighborhood. The staff was helpful and friendly, and I had the best eggs Benedict I have ever had. They pay attention to detail and really deliver. Highly recommended.

Visitamos Nomad por accidente, ya que estaba justo al otro lado de la calle de nuestro airbnb - apartamento, y resultó ser el mejor descubrimiento culinario (y personal - amable) de nuestro viaje de 5 días a Berlín. La comida era increíble, el interior muy elegante y cálido y el servicio obtuvo un sólido Spinal Tap Amplifier 11 en 10. Una joya escondida en las afueras de Der Mitte. Muy recomendable!

Four of us were there for brunch on a Saturday morning. Reservations via open table were quick and easy. Very tasty food, lovingly prepared and friendly service. We sat in the back room, we felt a bit drawn out, but otherwise it was very comfortable and not too loud. We'll definitely be back!

before visiting nomad cafe, i thought i’d tried good food… god was i wrong. the poached sent my tastebuds into a whirlwind of flavour and immersed me in a sea of taste… the avocado on sourdough was so good my tummy grew a mouth and thanked me! the oat cappucino… well… it blew my bloody socks off. i left with a full belly of warm food and not only that… a smile.

Really nice shop. Service was nice, although not particularly trying. We were only told that the length of stay for a weekend reservation for breakfast was limited to 90 minutes when we were basically thrown out 🤡 that's a bit Mitte-like. Food was good, but nothing special. Overall we were a little disappointed.

Wir hatten uns einen Milchkaffee und Chai Latte ice bestellt. Wirklich ein sehr guter Kaffee und eine super gute Mischung (Verhältnis Milch zu Kaffee. Das Shashuka war sehr schmackhaft und das Brot dazu sehr sättigend. Leider konnte ich die italienische heiße Schokolade und einen Pancake nicht mehr probieren. Dies steht dann beim nächsten Besuch auf der Bestellliste. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Ort.

Returning from Melbourne we were thrilled to get smashed Avo breakfast- just like in Australia 🇦🇺! The juices, smoothies, tea and Coffes all tasted great. We came early. 9.30 on a Saturday morning and there were plenty of parking slots nearby. Make sure you book a table! For us it was a little cold inside, 2 degrees warmer in winter would be more comfortable;)

Taste wise 11/10, sweet ambience and lovely service :))

The first impression was quite nice. Large restaurant, nicely decorated. At half past 12 on a Saturday the place was full and it took a little longer for our group of 9 people to be brought to the reserved table. The menu shows that the restaurant has a variety of offerings to suit different tastes, although the price is quite high. The service was good in the sense that the order was taken quickly and you were asked to leave at the end of your reserved time slot. The drinks took a long time and my chai was only lukewarm, and one person even forgot their coffee (after all, a drink was offered on the house, which was declined). When it came to dinner, the look was like "Is that all?" went through the round. And again the same person forgot to eat. Apart from that, the food was nicely presented (shakshuka, bread with avocado cream) and the drinks (chai, coffee) were delicious and were well received by everyone. I just have to say myself that the price-performance ratio is not right at all. In addition, there were only two toilets in the entire restaurant, which can easily accommodate 200 people, and in some cases you had to wait in line. In summary: + Food + Ambiance - Service - Toilets - Price In general, something should be done about the price and the service staff didn't make you feel welcome.

Das Nomad ist eine Oase in Berlin Mitte: tolles Ambiente, sehr leckeres Essen und aufmerksamer Service. Die Gerichte sind gut abgeschmeckt und etwas außergewöhnlicher als das typische 0815. Es kann allerdings recht laut werden.

Another "hipster dipster" spot in hipster cental, Berlin. I just had a cappuccino as they didn't have any tables available. I was solo and seemingly it's fine to eat uncomfortably at the bar with the bar staff literally "in your face". Maybe the hipsters don't mind this though.

Okay place to have simple breakfast. So busy during the weekend but weekdays are better. Food was bit too much covered with sauces.

Mein Frühstück (Shashuka) war zu salzig, auch mit Brötchen. Die Ambiente waren schön aber Musik war zu laut für sprechen. Vielleicht das ist einfach so für eine berühmte Restaurant.

This is hands down the best Shakshuka I’ve ever had in my life. The atmosphere is incredible, and the service is exceptional.

It is a nice place, food was nice and the staff is really friendly. The location was a bit crowded for my taste, and thus very loud, but that’s probably normal for a Sunday during prime time.

Even though we had made an advance reservation, you had to stay in the queue with the customers without it. The reception area gets pretty busy and if you are seated around can get unpleasant. I would definitely recommend some improvements there. The food is amazing (we ordered a Shakshouka and a Steak sandwich). The service is great and the restaurant is very cosy.
