Nomad in Berlin

before visiting nomad cafe, i thought i’d tried good food… god was i wrong. the poached sent my tastebuds into a whirlwind of flavour and immersed me in a sea of taste… the avocado on sourdough was so good my tummy grew a mouth and thanked me! the oat cappucino… well… it blew my bloody socks off. i left with a full belly of warm food and not only that… a smile.

The best breakfasts in the area. I especially recommend the pancakes. There are lunches on the menu - I highly recommend the duck breast

Really nice shop. Service was nice, although not particularly trying. We were only told that the length of stay for a weekend reservation for breakfast was limited to 90 minutes when we were basically thrown out 🤡 that's a bit Mitte-like. Food was good, but nothing special. Overall we were a little disappointed.

Wir hatten uns einen Milchkaffee und Chai Latte ice bestellt. Wirklich ein sehr guter Kaffee und eine super gute Mischung (Verhältnis Milch zu Kaffee. Das Shashuka war sehr schmackhaft und das Brot dazu sehr sättigend. Leider konnte ich die italienische heiße Schokolade und einen Pancake nicht mehr probieren. Dies steht dann beim nächsten Besuch auf der Bestellliste. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Ort.

Returning from Melbourne we were thrilled to get smashed Avo breakfast- just like in Australia 🇦🇺! The juices, smoothies, tea and Coffes all tasted great. We came early. 9.30 on a Saturday morning and there were plenty of parking slots nearby. Make sure you book a table! For us it was a little cold inside, 2 degrees warmer in winter would be more comfortable;)

The first impression was quite nice. Large restaurant, nicely decorated. At half past 12 on a Saturday the place was full and it took a little longer for our group of 9 people to be brought to the reserved table. The menu shows that the restaurant has a variety of offerings to suit different tastes, although the price is quite high. The service was good in the sense that the order was taken quickly and you were asked to leave at the end of your reserved time slot. The drinks took a long time and my chai was only lukewarm, and one person even forgot their coffee (after all, a drink was offered on the house, which was declined). When it came to dinner, the look was like "Is that all?" went through the round. And again the same person forgot to eat. Apart from that, the food was nicely presented (shakshuka, bread with avocado cream) and the drinks (chai, coffee) were delicious and were well received by everyone. I just have to say myself that the price-performance ratio is not right at all. In addition, there were only two toilets in the entire restaurant, which can easily accommodate 200 people, and in some cases you had to wait in line. In summary: + Food + Ambiance - Service - Toilets - Price In general, something should be done about the price and the service staff didn't make you feel welcome.

We were there for breakfast and Nomad is a great shop that certainly won't be the last time I see it when I'm in Berlin! Friendly and attentive service, perfect poached eggs, good coffee.

Das Nomad ist eine Oase in Berlin Mitte: tolles Ambiente, sehr leckeres Essen und aufmerksamer Service. Die Gerichte sind gut abgeschmeckt und etwas außergewöhnlicher als das typische 0815. Es kann allerdings recht laut werden.

Okay place to have simple breakfast. So busy during the weekend but weekdays are better. Food was bit too much covered with sauces.

Another "hipster dipster" spot in hipster cental, Berlin. I just had a cappuccino as they didn't have any tables available. I was solo and seemingly it's fine to eat uncomfortably at the bar with the bar staff literally "in your face". Maybe the hipsters don't mind this though.

Mein Frühstück (Shashuka) war zu salzig, auch mit Brötchen. Die Ambiente waren schön aber Musik war zu laut für sprechen. Vielleicht das ist einfach so für eine berühmte Restaurant.

It is a nice place, food was nice and the staff is really friendly. The location was a bit crowded for my taste, and thus very loud, but that’s probably normal for a Sunday during prime time.

Even though we had made an advance reservation, you had to stay in the queue with the customers without it. The reception area gets pretty busy and if you are seated around can get unpleasant. I would definitely recommend some improvements there. The food is amazing (we ordered a Shakshouka and a Steak sandwich). The service is great and the restaurant is very cosy.

Best Shakshuka I was able to try in Berlin. Umami. Preparing the “scrambled eggs” in a way that played with all the flavors was also a masterclass. Right mix of sweetness, acidity and basic full-bodiedness. Thanks :)

Despite a bit of chaos at the door to get in - some people having reservations and others being walk ins - the service was very nice and seated us at a cute table at the back. The food was great, especially the fries and the bacon (perfectly crispy) - and everything was really fresh. Atmosphere was also good, I would definitely return!

The food and service were excellent, and Nomad went above and beyond to cater to various dietary needs without a hitch. We were delighted to find that they had a private room set up for us, which was beautifully arranged and exceeded our expectations. All our guests had a fantastic time, and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy for everyone to enjoy the celebration. Great brunch place with outdoor seating options. A reservation is useful especially on weekends

The food and service were wonderful. There was a large group there at lunchtime, which made the atmosphere a little less pleasant with their loudness. Otherwise, the furnishings and room layout are very much based on Scandinavian models, bright and friendly. The steak sandwich was perfect for lunch in terms of portion and flavor and was very tasty. The sourdough bread in particular deserves praise. I would have liked to have eaten this with just the avocado spread.

We went to this cafe for brunch and ordered two pancakes and two lattes. The pancakes were really tasty and had a special taste. The coffee was also good. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed as there were a lot of people and even though we had reservations we had to wait a bit before being seated. It is advisable to make reservations, especially for the weekend.

We needed somewhere near the train station and I was craving pancakes 🥞. This was a cute cafe in the corner. Atmosphere was beautiful and smelled great when walking in, made the ending to my 3rd visit in Berlin beautiful.

Probably the best vegan scrambled eggs I’ve ever had! Their fresh orange juice with carrot was also delicious and they have great coffee. We also got the tartare and avocado bread. All really nice and the service was excellent. @osofoodies

Incredibly friendly staff, delicious food. I didnt make the reservation on the weekend so had to sit outside but they were very accomodating. Savoury pancake is a must-eat.

We didn’t know we were supposed to make a reservation so the service manager was super nice and advised when we can come back and get a table . We booked online while roaming around the area and came back and he hosted us personally with the most admirable grace. Ordered their white wine and an Israeli shakshuka and the Avocado smash with two poached eggs - the shakshuka needed more moist to have a better relationship with the amazing bread served next to it. Other than that perfect . The restaurant is clean cut warm modern a must stop when in Mitte.

Very courteous, nice service and the food (pancakes, scrambled eggs and smashed avo) was a 10/10.

One of my favorite brunch restaurants in Berlin. The food is sooooo good and unique , really rare to find this. Also lunch during week is highly recommendable , you get espresso and Salat included for decent price !

The food and drink is super tasty, the service is OK, the waiting time is far too long, we waited forever to order and then until the food came. There was also enough staff for the workload that day. Unfortunately the prices are way too overpriced.

Lunch at Nomad is always a treat. Today's risotto w/ mushrooms was no exception. The service is outstanding and though the portions is relatively small (which I think is actually a "+"), the lunch menu is still good value for money. The coffee is outtanding, me thinks! Thank you, team Nomad!

Schönster Brunchspot für mich in Mitte. Zudem gibt es einige glutenfreie Option bzw. kann jedes Gericht mit glutenfreiem Brot ersetzt werden. Das Brot ist von AERA, was für besonders gute Qualität steht. Auch vegetarisch wird viel geboten. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich gewesen. Es wird definitiv nicht mein letzter Besuch gewesen sein!

Great place! We visited Nomad for lunch this afternoon and the food and service were fantastic. Max the waiter helped us out great, especially because we were with a group of 11 people and wanted to sit outside. He managed everything to perfection! Definitely will come back again.

This place was on my list for some time. Had brunch there today - really liked it. Clean&modern interior, great menu and.. wait for it - people who actually like their job! The guys working there were suuuuuper nice! Will be back very soon. Also really enjoyed the XXL fresh juice EDIT: I got back here on a Sunday - terrible service this time!!! I waited for a sandwich for 35 min!!!! Unacceptable!!! 👎🏻

Their 11 € lunches are phenomenal 🩷 The portion is rather small but enough, always so delicious and fresh.

Great breakfast restaurant - fairly popular so reservation could be a good idea, though we were there twice without booking and managed to get a table. But for a company larger than two, makes sense to book in advance. Really good (and hearty) breakfast dishes, taste good and well presented too. Quick and friendly service.

Food is good, but they charge 5€ for a bottle of tap water (which is always free everywhere, lol). We were a group of 5 on a warm summer day, had meals and coffees, and paid 15€ on top for the tap water :)) Just grab mimosa instead, you’ll feel less pissed.

The atmosphere here is amazing, and the pancakes were incredibly delicious. We also tried a dish called the "avocado smash," which had some sort of spicy powder on top (the red stuff) that made it incredibly salty. The bread was tasty, but it was impossible to cut the crust with the knives they provided. It can be frustrating to eat this dish.

We wanted to grab a bite to eat and have a coffee here at short notice today. Unfortunately we had to wait 20 minutes just to take the order. Since we didn't have too much time, we decided not to order food. The coffee we were served afterwards was very good, but unfortunately only lukewarm. It's a shame, the location is promising.

Good atmosphere, looks big from the outside but it's a nice smaller place that I like. The prices are a bit high, also compared to the quality. It's fine, but eggs benedict for €16 is high at the time of writing. Nice service, comfortable space.

Nice place, with a relaxed sphere and very nice staff. The food looked as nice as it tasted. The eggs were a little too salty for our liking but still very good. It was also easy to find, so I would definitely recommend coming here!

If you come to Berlin and don't know what to eat? I recommend this restaurant. Delicious food, good atmosphere, sit and relax, take beautiful photos. The food is served quickly, you don't have to wait long, the food is cooked and tastes good 😘❤️

Brunch was great. They have really good options on sourdough toast. Eggs Benedict and the avocado toast were amazing. Really great coffee too. This year the attention was AWESOME. Dan was great. Thank god they changed the little man that was in charge last year….he was super rude, though the waitress that got our order was lovely. Super considerate, she even apologised for her boss’ behaviour. A little expensive but it’s a great place for brunch outside.

We live nearby and used do love this place, but yesterday’s experience was not the best one. The waitress was rude and not helpful at all. We went there for a Birthday breakfast and brought a candle to put in the pancakes, but the waitress said that she doesn’t have a lighter with the rolled eyes and even didn’t try to find one or to ask other colleagues. Not even “sorry guys”. Maybe you shouldn’t work with people if you’re so annoyed with them?

Better brunch places out there. Food was okay but it took 1 hour to prepare. Service wasn’t the best. Sides were too small (3 thin pieces of bacon).
