Nomad in Berlin

Lovely atmosphere and perfect food. Staff were all very nice and the service was fast.

The food was disappointing. I had the shakshuka, which didn't have any fresh tomatoes; it tasted like they'd used a ready-made tomato sauce. And I only got two small pieces of bread. My friend had the sweet pancakes, which weren't good either—really rubbery and swimming in a strange sauce. The coffee, however, was good, and the service was very friendly.

A lovely restaurant with excellent food. The prices are a bit high, so you can naturally expect smaller portions. However, the service wasn't any better to compensate. You have to wait a very long time for orders to be taken, and there's such a long break between the main course and dessert that you could have finished all your drinks twice. Only the sparkling water was constantly refilled, which was a real plus.

We were there today with my group of friends. The hostess was lovely, and so was the support staff, but the woman who was supposed to serve us treated us very badly, ignored us, and refused to serve us. Very poor service from the blonde woman with glasses.

Overall tasty – but unfortunately better last time. We waited about 15 minutes before we could order after deciding what we wanted. Instead of ordering both sparkling and still water, we only received sparkling water. The lettuce heart was difficult to cut and a bit mushy; it was noticeably fresher last time. A bit too much charcoal for my taste – the balance was better last time. The gnocchi were very soft and had hardly any bite – that was different last time as well. The kohlrabi and cabbage, however, were delicious. Unfortunately, we weren't asked if everything was alright until the very end – at which point we mentioned the points above. It would have been nice to be asked this as an interim question, especially since the staff is still being trained. We look forward to a better next time ;) Especially if it's not our wedding anniversary (we mentioned that in our reservation)!

We went there for brunch and ate a Shakshuka and a French Toast. I would not say it was a great Shakshuka but the French Toast was really amazing and so delicious, I would def recommend that one!

Nomad is highly praised and it delivers. Our brunch experience was very pleasant, the quality of ingredients is very high and the easch dish was delicious. Their sourg dough bread was amazing and the avo spread was marvelous. The french toast with tiramisu cream was also great. Overall the staff is nice and the only complaint I have for the unconfy chairs and akward picknic tables. Don't even think about coming without a reservation, the place is always packed! 💎♥️

Almost everything here is perfect: incredibly friendly service, incredibly delicious food that's anything but ordinary, and a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, the wine selection is a different story, and this is the only reason I'm only giving it four stars. The wine list for open wines simply states: white/rosé/red. That's not much information. It gets better when you ask: at least then the server can tell you which grapes are being served. "Where does the Syrah come from?" I asked. The answer: "I'll have to check." Okay, it could be better, but it's not a big deal. At Nomad – as is so often the case these days – open wines are served in 0.1l glasses. That's not a problem in itself, but what doesn't exactly thrill me is that they don't pour a single milliliter too much. In a large glass, the poured amount of wine looks like a tiny puddle. There are better ways to do this. Furthermore, we were sold a glass of the delicious Syrah from southern France for ten euros. The bottle (!) sells for around ten euros on the open market. It's hard to imagine a greater price gouging! Would I still go back to Nomad? Absolutely, because the food is simply too good. Based on our experience, I would stick to water when it comes to drinks.

We had brunch at Nomad for my boyfriends birthday and loved it. The menu has classics but with a twist and I had the savory pancakes which are perfect if you are having a hard time deciding between sweet and savory. A nice extra was the Millenial friendly playlist 😅definately will be back!

Waste of time and money. Food took forever to come and we finally got it, every dish was wrong (undercooked, overcooked, too salty...)

Some things are simple yet made very well. I had eggs Benedict to start my day and the eggs were cooked to perfection, The sauce was very tasty and tasted homemade, And I really enjoyed it. The people serving were nice to me and they really liked the atmosphere. Will be back to try more things!

I waited 1.5 hours for my latte. That was really annoying. I asked several times. Otherwise, it was okay…

I didn’t know what to expect going in. I had seen some photos of meticulously plated food, which frankly concerned me— presentation can sometimes come at the expense of flavor. This was not the case for Nomad. The meal was exquisite. The appetizer round was inspirational and mouthwatering (daikon salad, kohlrabi, burrata, tuna tartare). Main courses didn’t disappoint either— the gnocchi was exceptional, and we loved the lettuce hearts and boeuf bourguignon.

The food and service were fantastic. The atmosphere was very loud, extremely hectic, and simply uncomfortable. An acoustic ceiling would make a big difference. Best regards.

Nice atmosphere, friendly service. One star deducted because milk alternatives cost extra, and another because the risotto was very small and not tasty.

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with the service. We were initially told there would be a wait of about 30 minutes for a table inside. After this time had passed, we inquired again, and only then were we informed that the wait would now be another 40 minutes, as online reservations had priority. This left us with the impression that we had simply been forgotten – even though we were present the entire time. With a small child in tow, this was very unpleasant.

A fantastic evening that will be remembered. Not only was the food consistently delicious and beautifully presented, but the service was also dedicated, attentive, and friendly, leaving nothing to be desired. They explained everything, offered advice, and clearly made sure the guests had a wonderful evening – which they absolutely succeeded in doing. We happily say 'thank you' and will gladly return.

Went there for brunch today and had the best Eggs Benedict ever as well as a beautiful Shakshuka AND a stack of pancakes with delicious toppings of a creamy and fruity something. Added a spicy Bloody Mary and fresh orange juice - can recommend both wholeheartedly. The food was delicious, the presentation careful and super appealing, the service attentive and exceptionally friendly. Portions are generous and the prices totally reasonable. An overall delightful place that I am looking forward to visiting again in the evening hours so that we can taste the evening menu. Wanted to take pics of it all, but my daughter finds this totally cringe, so you will have to go see for yourself !

We had a great evening last night. The food was delicious, and the prices were really reasonable for the craftsmanship. The chairs could use a cushion, as my husband likes to stay longer. 😃

Unfortunately, it was disappointing, which I find very unfortunate. My girlfriend and I went there for brunch on Sunday. The place was crowded, and you couldn't get in without a reservation. On top of that, the food left a lot to be desired. My eggs Benedict were overcooked, and the bread was unfortunately stale. My girlfriend's pancakes were unfortunately dry, and the coffee was okay. On the other hand, the staff are very friendly, and the restaurant is quite nice.

I tried this place for brunch on a Sunday. It's best to make a reservation, as it's a popular spot. Plus, the restaurant isn't far from the Berlin Wall Memorial, making it ideal for a day of sightseeing. The dishes are generous and tasty, with fresh ingredients. The service was a bit slow the day I went, but everything was delicious.

A beautiful restaurant. The Scandinavian decor, with lots of wood, creates a modern atmosphere. We enjoyed the relaxed service at brunch, but we think the evening service could be a bit more professional. The two savory dishes and a sweet finale were all very finely cooked and simply delicious. It justifies the price. We'll be happy to come back!

Nomad is a stylish and comfortable spot for brunch, with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is fresh and well-prepared, showing good attention to flavor and presentation. Service is friendly but somewhat disjointed — each waiter seems to handle a different task, which sometimes means no one takes clear ownership of the bottomless mimosas, you might just break even. Overall, it’s a good brunch choice if you value ambiance.

Very nice location. A mix of classy and cozy. We received detailed advice, and the food was not disappointed. I would personally recommend the corn-fed chicken or these Dutch meatballs… absolutely delicious. Thanks for the lovely evening!

We went here for brunch — the food was good (the shakshuka and the brioche from the scrambled eggs were particularly nice). a level up from normal brunch fare at a reasonable price point. Coffee was average. However, it took 25 mins for them to get us our order, and another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We only ordered 2 dishes. Not the best experience.

It's a shame that, despite the good food, the service is terrible. There was an endless amount of time between courses. We had a group reservation, and it took over half an hour between starters and main course. The manager was unfriendly, just looking after us. Lamentable

A fine-dining experience at fair prices. The cuisine is creative and excellently prepared – any slight compromises in value for money are more than compensated for by the exceptionally friendly and attentive service.

Sweetbreads: my only complain is that there were not more of them 😅, they are not commonly in menus and not so easy to get right. Meatballs: a complete surprise when we bit into them, delicious, and the mayonnaise was also amazing. Pupking: great caramelisation and great pairing with the ricotta. Lamb: not hugely abound at but tasty, the puree was super good. We spent €68. ———- Came back a couple of times, we had the brunch, the pancakes were huge and super tasty, but I did not love that the syrup was already poured on them. We also came back for dinner, repeated the meatballs and sweetbreads. We also tried the asparagus and the gnocchi, both were nice. ——- Last visit we reordered scone of the plates we enjoyed the most, including the sweetbreads and meatballs. The sweetbread portion was much smaller this time, which was dissapointing. Also ordered the meat, and was very tasty, with pure, it was good, but it had way too much butter.

Such a nice restaurant on a lovely street. Menu is beautifully curated. Not overpriced - definitely good value for the quality offered.

The food was good and beautifully presented, but the portion sizes weren't commensurate with the price. I find it a bad habit that you now have to order side dishes separately. A little greeting from the kitchen would have been nice, too.

We had an absolutely fantastic evening at the Nomad Restaurant in Berlin. The food was a highlight – fantastically prepared, full of flavor, and presented with great attention to detail. The service was also outstanding: attentive, warm, and professional. We were particularly impressed by the team's ability to not only fulfill all our requests but even offer us little extras we hadn't even thought of. You can feel the passion that goes into their work here. A restaurant that sets standards – we'll definitely be back!

The food was really delicious. Unfortunately, I found the coffee only semi-delicious. The service was unfortunately uncoordinated and slow, even though I was there during the week and it wasn't busy.

Good food, staff kind enough, nice place with nice atmosphere but way too much expensive. Not sure what the marketing of this place has in mind but you really cannot charge 20€ for a sandwich. Do not tell me that the quality or the quantity makes the difference because at the end I got a piece of bread (not a sandwich as mentioned in the menu) with some planted steak with vegetables. Now it is true that popular food like pizza turned to be gourmet food but this was by far an exaggeration.

We had brunch at Nomad on a Sunday. The food was good, but there was very little on the plate. The service was absolutely terrible. While all the staff were friendly, no one seemed to want to work efficiently. We waited 40 minutes for our lukewarm to cold food, even though the place wasn't busy. The drinks (tea and coffee) took more than 20 minutes to arrive and unfortunately arrived lukewarm. In short, in my opinion, the price/performance ratio was completely unacceptable, and the service was abysmal.

I found out about this restaurant by Instagram. Yesterday we finally visited them for dinner. Everything was very nice. We sat outside, so I cannot say about the interior and atmosphere. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Service good. Food was good, yummy. We will go again.

What a disappointment, oops. Long long wait for both food and drinks. We had to remind the waiters several times. We felt very forgotten but at the neighboring tables the food was also requested. In the end the main course was only lukewarm. To finish, the bill also did not match as drinks were calculated that had never arrived at the table A shameful way to celebrate a birthday.

The waiters are very nice. However, the food and the flow were a disaster. I can only assume that this is partly due to the fact that there are no sections, so no one knows what the other person is doing/has done. A waitress comes and brings the menu. Then a waiter asks what we'd like to drink and, upon further inquiry, explains that there's always a flat rate for water per person. We order something to drink. So why isn't water brought right away? Both sparkling and still? Then the waitress comes back and asks what we want to drink. The menu has appetizers for €16 - it's not clear what the appetizer and main course are. After ordering, we waited 2 hours for the main course. It arrived lukewarm. The broccoli was undercooked, the mushrooms were overcooked, and the chicken was rubbery. The waiter came by occasionally, not to clear the appetizer or ask if we wanted anything else to drink (we always had to ask for that ourselves) – but to light the candle. We were served by three waiters. They asked us twice about things several times, and then apparently forgot about them.

We came for brunch, and the taste was first-class. We had the Egg Benedict, the smashed avocado, and the granola. Fantastic! The dishes our neighbors ate also all looked delicious. Super pleasant atmosphere Egg Benedict: 4/5 What I love about Berlin brunch cafés with Egg Benedict on their menu is that each café comes up with something special for the Egg Benedict that sets them apart from the others. In Nomad's case, it's the sautéed mushrooms and onions. When I read it on the menu, I thought, "Wow!" But after the first bite, it was clear: this tastes great! I have to deduct one point because I missed the ham on the Egg Benedict, and the hollandaise sauce wasn't acidic (although it's usually made with white wine and vinegar, and is acidic). But definitely try it! Granola: 7/5 Absolutely fantastic. Delicious yogurt, tasty granola, fresh fruit. A poem. Smashed Avocado: 3.8/5 Not quite as tasty as the Egg Benedict, but still good. Coffee: 2/5 Unfortunately, both of the flat whites I had were only lukewarm. Atmosphere: 5/5 Very stylish, modern interior design, comfortable chairs, pleasant room layout. You feel at home. Service: 3.7/5 Three of the four people who served us were very attentive. I found it a shame that we were greeted with "one moment please" and then had to wait outside the restaurant for a while, and no one seemed to care about us. Despite having a reservation and the restaurant not being full.

Delicioussss, all of the food was amazing. Restaurant for ordering different dishes and sharing, they don’t really have a main dish menu. We payed 104 bucks, and ordered several dishes and one spritz and a beer. Wouldn’t recommend the mussels, they were messy to eat. Dessert was outstanding

We went to Nomad to try the brunch; from the photos online, it looked very promising, and the prices were good for Mitte. We were already a little disappointed when the drinks arrived (tasteless iced tea for €5 and watered-down juice for €5), but the food made things even worse. The avocado toast tasted only of garlic and coriander, and there was a piece of some fluorescent green substance among the ingredients (you could tell it was something external, artificial). The eggs Benedict had a truly unique soapy taste, and unfortunately, we couldn't eat it: there were so many mushrooms, they were very greasy, and with the hollandaise sauce, they created a very fatty taste that was hard to eat. The salad was undressed, full of water that soaked all the bread, making the dish overall low-quality and tasteless. We then called the waitress, explained the problems/concerns with the dishes, and asked, with great regret (for the first time in my life), to send them back, even though they had barely been touched. We weren't asked to remake the dish, we weren't apologized for (especially for the strange fluorescent ingredient found inside the dish), and we weren't even offered a token discount to cheer us up. We therefore spent €38.80 without eating and drinking watered-down juices.
