NOM vietnamese fusion food in Hamburg

The chef can't even cut large pieces into bite-sized pieces. I'm not a wolf, and there wasn't a knife. I really like eating Thai Asian food in Hamburg. But I've never experienced this before.

I ordered papaya salad and sticky rice mango and was thrilled. Everything tasted good and was nice and fresh.

The most I can say about this place is that the food was edible, and the place was nicely decorated. You can definitely get better Vietnamese food elsewhere. We had beef summer rolls and baos for starters (average, at best), and split one of the NOM specials for the main dish (lots of chicken skin included, which was not to our liking but might be a personal preference). Another thing to note is that the sign at the door says you can pay with card for over 10 EUR, but at the end when we wanted to pay, we were asked if we could please pay with cash because they would "appreciate it a lot".

Very nice service and great food. Just be careful… if the food is labeled “spicy”, then it is “spicy” ... and super tasty.

Authentic cuisine with really courteous staff. You feel welcome. The portions are large and reasonably priced. We had a very tasty meal and will be back.

Service was good, food was tasty but very greasy. We all had our stomachs churning the whole evening. Chairs were uncomfortable and the seating was a bit tight. But all in all you can eat there.

The food itself was very tasty, as was the service up to a certain point, So when I was asked why I don't tip, I thought since when did it become a must if I just don't think I have to tip because some things might not be as nice as e.g. the broken toilets, the broken toilet door. Was on March 16th, March 17th. and March 18, 2025 here for dinner and lunch. It's a very nice central restaurant, very friendly staff, great selection and very tasty dishes. Conclusion: complete recommendation!!!

Sehr leckeres Essen und reichhaltige Portionen. Fantastische Vorspeisen. Wir hatten einen Vorspeisenteller und Gyoza, gut gewürzt und sehr leckere Dips. Hauptgericht Eiernudel, Mixaogian, war fantastisch und reichlich. Wir waren vier Erwachsene und hatten eine gute Zeit, wir haben draußen gesessen, welches angenehm war. Jederzeit zu empfehlen, für Gäste mit E-Auto liegt eine 150Kw Säule direkt am Parkplatz gegenüber!

We visited the restaurant on a spontaneous Saturday evening and were immediately welcomed with a table. The service was extremely friendly and we immediately felt at home. What was particularly positive was that special requests were addressed with a lot of attention - a meat dish was easily converted into a vegetarian dish. The food was not only very tasty, but also generously portioned and completely justified for the price. An all around great experience!

Aufgrund der früheren Bewertungen waren wir spontan hier zu Gast. Es war sehr lecker, wir hatten ein Gericht mit gebratenen Reisnudeln und Hühnchen und eine Hühnersuppe mit Gemüse. Vorher eine gemischte Vorspeise. Es war sehr lecker und gut, alles frisch und sehr köstlich. Der Service war trotz vollem Gastraum sehr flink und wir mussten nicht warten. Es war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Vielen lieben Dank an das gesamte Team.

I only know Nom from lunch. Every time very good. Especially fresh and not overly seasoned. Very fast and competent service. Even with 8 people, everyone has food on the table at the same time. Definitely stands out from the Vietnamese in the area.

Absolute recommendation. Very tasty food, super nice, funny and friendly service. The price-performance ratio is completely ok and you get full. Unfortunately I didn't manage to take a photo because it was too tasty.

We spent a long weekend in Hamburg, my wife wanted to eat Vietnamese and came across Nom. When we arrived it was a bit sobering for me, the entrance and the steps were broken, and in the restaurant itself everything was very, very spartan. and would be assigned a table, it was quite cool in the restaurant in terms of temperatures. We have our order, we each order a starter and a main course. My main course was a crab fried in butter, which tasted like burnt butter, my main course was cold, I wanted it as a soup as it says on the menu, but I got it as a bowl, when I ordered it wasn't pointed out that I had to say if I wanted it as a soup. My wife was luckier. Everything was fine with her.

When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and it was very nicely decorated. The homemade lemonades were highly recommended and we didn't have to wait long for our food, which was delicious. I would definitely come back again! ☺️

Location very full, but still got space. Everything is a bit cramped. Selected food (stock) tasted good, but unfortunately the pieces of meat were much too big, too fatty and inedible. Service was very nice and quick. Conclusion: Good for a quick stay. Nothing for comfortable. Too loud and too narrow.

Kimchi good, everything good. If a restaurant offers good kimchi, that's always promising. The Nom is such a restaurant. The menu also offers a selection beyond the usual, which makes it exciting. You can definitely try your way through the appetizers here in a tapas-like manner. But the main courses are also good - aromatic and juicy/crunchy, the proportion of rice is pleasantly low. There are drawbacks in the ambience, which seems uncomfortable/crowded from the outside on a Friday evening, which is complemented by the corresponding noise inside. Nevertheless, with a little waiting time you can get a place here even without a reservation. The staff is correspondingly efficient and at the same time unobtrusively friendly.

Loud and uncomfortable! We were asked to pay after 25 minutes because we didn't order anything after eating... that doesn't work at all. It is also extremely tight to sit and the toilets are very unkempt. We don't go here anymore!!

Ambience austere. The food made us rotten. I had diarrhea for 2 days afterwards. It was only after reading the older reviews that I realized that it had already happened to people before me. I don't go there anymore. Sorry!

Very tasty and above all good food. Price and performance are right here, even in 2025! 10 out of 5 stars goes to the mango dessert. A real highlight, so leave room for dessert.

We got a place quickly. Anyone who likes it cozy with the neighboring table is welcome here. A bit restless, not for people looking for peace and quiet. Food was very good. The mango lassi was stretched with lots of ice cubes. That was an absolute minus point for me.

A nice atmosphere, welcoming staff, my partner had a pho bo, it was extremely good. I had an udon with shrimps (#30) it did not impress me at all, unfortunately.

Food is not quite authentic but taste really good. The distance between tables is good so we didn't feel so crowded. One thing that make us feel unhappy at the end is we was directly requested for at least 10% and was mocked by the waiter that we dont understand the basic standard. May be the US tipping culture is spreading over, but in the end it is the owner of the restaurant who should pay more for their workers and be responsible rather than delegating the guilt to their customers. 1 star for service but to the owner who seem not paying fairly for their workers.

First time at NOM. I had some spring rolls with vegetables as a starter. Those were really good, can definitely recommend them. My main dish was a pho soup with tofu. Also nice, but I've had better elsewhere. Overall, the menu might benefit from more vegetarian options. The service was fine, and the place was decent. Just the background music, while probably matching the restaurant, was not to my liking. 2nd time, delivery. One of the sauce containers was not tightly closed causing a mess, but the food was delicious. Had very tasty kimchi and excellent bún chay.

Came with 10 people at short notice and found space. Thanks again for that! The food was amazing, had the chicken in pandan which was amazing. It would have been even better if the menu had mentioned the coriander beforehand. My only criticism is the soft shell crab, which unfortunately only tastes like the thick breading. From my point of view, you just have to briefly coat it in flour and deep-fry it, then it has more of its own flavor.

While food was delicious, it was absolutely appalling how during payment, they force you to give a tip and yet even take offense if the amount of the tip isn't enough for them. They explain that in Germany, the tip isn't included in the price. While that is true, it is also true that tips are appreciated but never expected here as employees are paid well. It was not nice of them to force you to feel pressured to tip. We actually had been thinking of coming back to eat here again for the holidays however thanks to that experience, we definitively agreed we are never going back to their restaurant ever again and would definitely not recommend them to anyone with that kind of service.

Super delicious! Kim Chi was perfectly spicy! Both meat and tofu are very tender and tasty! Service very nice and attentive! The crowning glory is the Vietnamese iced coffee! A must on every visit!

Absolutely recommended, cozy and not so crowded

We ate here with three people. One has celiac disease (gluten intolerance). The service explained to her what she was allowed to eat and the food came quickly. For starters there were summer rolls and spring rolls, both of which were very tasty! We ordered two pho and one beef with vegetables. We were all more than satisfied and completely full afterwards! The atmosphere was very pleasant and everyone was friendly and accommodating. We definitely recommend it!

Five of us ate here. Four of us had stomach problems afterwards. Me so much that I had to forfeit my subsequent concert visit.

I went to this place for a quick bite to eat. The place is very nice with a nice atmosphere. The dish arrived quickly, without having to wait too long. Overall, a new and plentiful dish. The only flaw was the waiter, who at the time of the bill did not want me to pay by card but only in cash and demanded a tip, even though he never showed up except to eat my plate. We made reservations for a birthday and asked to be moved twice because we were seated at a loud table in the middle of the restaurant. We were told that wasn't possible, even though other tables remained free all evening. Absolutely incomprehensible. Food was, if anything, average. No recommendation.

The food was outstanding! We'll definitely go there again. The atmosphere is more comfortable than usual in Asian restaurants, but the seating is good. A good sign: the restaurant is very busy.

This used to be such a great place to go. Our entire company, which is located across the street, would go there for a quick bite to eat for lunch. However, the past few months the quality of the food has gone dramatically downhill. Everything taste horrible and cheap, the meat used taste of cardboard and chemicals. Service used to be friendly and quick but now they just run around chaotically and rush to get get people in and out as quick as possible to turn over the table to the next guest. They recently had to close for "technical" issues but everyone knows the real reason. Have not been back in several months. Hopefully they can turn things around soon.

Very tasty authentic food, with good service. The only point of criticism is that the clothes smell very much like the kitchen afterwards.
