I had beef in red curry, and it was truly exceptionally delicious. I was surprised and impressed. Thank you very much, also for the attentive and very friendly service.

Extremely delicious and authentic Vietnamese food, and on top of that: halal! The service was super friendly, and even a spontaneous table on the weekend worked out without any problems.

Great location. With Mona, the evening waitress, this was a very eventful experience. Despite being a bit stressful for her, she managed to entertain us by sending us on a scavenger hunt and sending us fantastic animal creatures into the beautifully landscaped outdoor area. The food itself was well-sized and tasty. It just lacked a bit more, or rather, more intense, flavors.

– The garden smelled strongly of mold, probably from the old parasols. For what was offered, it was absolutely not worth the money. We were really looking forward to Vietnamese food, but were unfortunately only disappointed.

Overall, we had a mixed impression. The service was very nice and friendly, but the food arrived a bit late – understandable, since the waitress was alone. The restaurant itself is beautifully and comfortably furnished, and the terrace is especially inviting. The food selection is also varied, making you want to try different dishes. We opted for pho soups and a rice dish. The soups were solid, but lacked the polish and seasoning you'd expect from pho. Unfortunately, there was no typical side bread. The rice dish was okay, but the "grilled chicken" didn't live up to its description: it looked very pale and lacked the grilled flavors we were hoping for. Overall, a pleasant restaurant with potential – but the food could benefit from a bit more attention to detail.

A great place relatively close to the CCH if you want to grab a big portion of delicious and filling food. The staff is cheerful and welcoming. Please make sure to bring stickers of cute pink creatures for the waitress there!!

I'll keep it short: The waitress was very arrogant and rebellious - you were afraid to say anything because she knew everything better anyway. The food was actually good, but both the chicken and beef we all had were extremely tough - I stopped eating the meat and just ate vegetables and rice. We couldn't return it because the food and the appetizer platter took a very long time to arrive. It was really, really quiet. There was no duck either - we were there at 2:30 p.m. The location itself was very nice. But the music was absolutely terrible. You're in such a beautiful oasis, and then they start playing Bravo hits from 2000... it just didn't fit - listening to Britney Spears or something.

We always eat here. The Vietnamese tapas are incredibly delicious and my favorite! With the warm weather, we enjoyed sitting outside in the cozy beer garden! Very friendly service!

We discovered the restaurant quite by chance and were simply amazed by everything hidden behind your doors. What appears very inconspicuous from the outside simply amazed us inside. The courtyard terrace is stunningly beautiful and designed with such attention to detail. Aside from the truly delicious food, we were captivated by the warmth of the service. We went out to dinner with colleagues in the evening after the Nordstil trade fair and immediately felt at home. The restaurant is like a small oasis in the area. Beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail and a very pleasant, tranquil atmosphere. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. The service was attentive, friendly, and authentic. You can tell that hospitality is truly lived here. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and the portions were really generous. It tasted delicious, although we would have preferred a bit more spice in the savory dishes. Nevertheless, everything was harmonious and balanced. The prices are a bit on the high side, but completely reasonable given the quality, portion size, and overall experience. It's a place where you'll enjoy treating yourself. A well-rounded experience for me. It's rare to find a restaurant where the ambiance, staff, and food fit together so well. We'd be happy to come back.

We came here with four people and had a delicious Asian meal. The waitress was super friendly and, coincidentally, the owner is Dutch! The share plate is highly recommended; you get to try a bit of everything! The pho was also very good. In good weather, they have a super cozy terrace that you can't see from the outside. It really gives you the feeling of being transported to a different world!

I don't even know where to begin... When we entered the shop, it was lunchtime and we were alone. The waitress came up to us, chatted briefly, and complained that customers were staying away, that they had so much rent to pay, and that it was all the "Hamburg weather." Then she said to us, "Do you think we can save some of your €20?!" We didn't know what to say. At first, she didn't want to sell my colleague bottled water either, because it was so undrinkable?? When we asked what the difference between the two dishes was, we were told it was a small typo: Mango sauce should actually be called peanut sauce. The dish with the mango sauce was as runny as soup. Otherwise, both dishes were mediocre. The waitress tried hard, but unfortunately, the beginning made things really unpleasant. I don't think the Hamburg weather was to blame. It's a shame, the atmosphere of the shop is actually great. Paying wasn't easy either; it seemed disorganized.

We spontaneously stopped by the Grand Garden last night. We received a great welcome, and the atmosphere in the large outdoor seating area in the back courtyard was quite cozy. Our food was absolutely delicious; everyone really enjoyed it. We'd love to come back.

Nice service, but that was all. A starter platter for €40, completely deep-fried and frozen, arrived within a few moments. The main course was okay, but really standard Asian food. We definitely wouldn't go back. The service was nice, but she came to the table and immediately told us we should tip in cash, as she always has to chase the manager about it. The place is really big, and she also told us straight away that she has to do everything herself, including cleaning herself!! Poor thing – I hope she finds a new job!

Beautiful garden, good food, meat a bit dry, service awful. The entire restaurant was cleaned with soft soap, so that you could barely walk without almost falling over. Criticism was ignored. The waitress was an absolute disaster, just annoyed and stressed. You just want to eat in a relaxed manner. Unfortunately, the only comments we heard were that she's alone, that she has to serve too many guests, extremely unprofessional. We almost left and would never visit this restaurant again. The garden alone is really beautiful. But such an extremely stressed waitress is completely out of place here, truly creepy. Even the floor in the restrooms is as slippery as soft soap. As a comment when we left, we were told that the reason for this was the guests, who bring the dirt in with them. The cleaning agent was simply used incorrectly. I was speechless about this restaurant...

Frühlingsrollen waren nicht zu bekommen. Die bestellte Sommerrolle besteht im Grunde nur aus Salat. Die Barbarrie Ente als Hauptgericht ist teuer und schmeckt überhaupt nicht.

A truly great restaurant with delicious food! I highly recommend it; the delicious homemade lemonades are delicious. The waitress was really helpful and had everything under control. Wait times were "okay." I might consider adding a second server (I imagine that's actually quite common here), but maybe not the day I was there. They forgot to bring my drink, but all good things can happen. The quality of the food is top-notch and the prices are high. See you next time!

The dishes are several euros more expensive than in other restaurants with comparable offerings and, unfortunately, taste "only" okay. Very bland. I ordered a soup because it was supposed to have oyster mushrooms in it, but unfortunately, they were completely missing. Otherwise, there were only noodles and a single bok choy leaf... The restaurant is also woefully understaffed, which leads to hectic ordering and mistakes. We also had to insist on receiving the appetizers before the main course and not everything at once.

10/10 Everything was perfect. 🤗 The location has a great ambiance. When you sit inside, you kind of forget you're in Hamburg. The outdoor area alone invites you to linger. The food was excellent, with a bit more choice than the online menu suggests. There was something for every taste, whether meaty or non-meaty. From chicken, beef, and duck to fried tofu. For starters, we had the Van Than Hap and the Goi Cuon Chay (vegetarian steamed dumplings and a summer roll with tender tofu). The main course was CƠM CARI ĐỎ CHAY (red curry with tofu) and CƠM XÀO XẢ ỚT (with beef), a perfectly balanced dish. For dessert, we had the classic baked banana, but far better. It was wrapped in a thin batter and then baked/fried. Otherwise, it wasn't greasy. The service was friendly, helpful, and relaxed. So it's definitely worth a visit 🥰 I'm looking forward to it next time I'm in Hamburg.

Only the dumplings were okay. The table was dirty, and the overall appearance was unkempt. Payment was only possible in cash or via PayPal via "Friends & Family," which seems dubious. For the high price, we received inferior food. This was definitely not authentic Asian food. The very good online reviews seem questionable. The only positive point: The service was very friendly. The courtyard was comfortably furnished.

Had a very pleasant and surprising stay here. From the outside, it looks like a "normal" small restaurant, but the restaurant's name is justified, as there's a really nice outdoor area at the back with plenty of seating. Friendly staff, too. Definitely back soon.

It looks good, but I really wouldn't recommend it! At first glance, it's really nice with its courtyard, etc. But the price-performance ratio is unfortunately so bad :( You can't get a main course for less than €16, and unfortunately, it doesn't even taste that great. It seems like they have a wide selection, but everything is just rice/noodles, roasted vegetables, salad, and roasted meat/veggies. The taste is very monotonous... The waiter didn't understand us, and even though the rest of the staff was just sitting around, we didn't ask any questions or anything else. We had to go to the cashier to pay because no one else was coming 🤷🏽‍♀️ There are so many better restaurants right around the corner, this would be my last choice...

We ate here for the first time today and chose this restaurant based on the good reviews. What was really positive was the service, which served all customers single-handedly, and the ambiance. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food. The sauces for the curries we ordered were all very watery, and the noodles, while tasty, were a bit heavy on the stomach. Too bad! Perhaps they need to consider a change in staff in the kitchen.

Basically, everything was fine. The sauces were unfortunately much, much too sweet. I have no idea why everything has to be so sweet? Unfortunately, I had to leave some things out :-( Actually, 3 stars for the food... But since I've been sugar-free for many years, I'm giving it one more.

A nice place with potential The Grand Garden restaurant is a simple but pleasant place. I particularly liked the garden area at the back – pleasantly quiet and shielded from the street noise I had initially feared. The service was fast and the staff attentive – a definite plus! However, I was a little less convinced by the food. The only options were chicken/duck or a vegetarian dish on the daily menu – I would have liked more variety in the meats. The taste was okay, about 3.5 out of 5 for me. Overall, a nice place, especially if you want to enjoy a relaxed meal outside, but there's still room for improvement in the food selection.

We visited on a Saturday evening and ordered five dishes from the Tapas menu, which came to €64 including tips. The dumplings were flavorful and enjoyable. The fried tofu was extremely crunchy, but lacked distinctive seasoning. The mango salad was quite basic—essentially a standard salad topped with pureed mango dressing and a few mango pieces. The beef salad was the most disappointing. As shown in the photo, it contained very little beef. Based on the well-written and appealing menu descriptions, we expected something more refined and substantial. Highlight: they tell you at the end that no card payment is possible: cash or PayPal! Will not come back.

We just ordered two small portions of Pho Xao and some tapas via Uber Eats. We've always been very satisfied with our orders here in the past, so we were looking forward to eating again. Unfortunately, this time it was a disappointment: The Pho Xao portions were significantly smaller than expected, considering the price of €6. The taste of the dish didn't really impress us either – a very intense egg flavor dominated, while other flavors we'd known from before were completely absent. The dumplings also seemed unusual in their preparation and didn't taste as good as we've experienced before. It's possible that the kitchen team has changed, or the recipe has changed. We hope this was just an outlier, and we'd be happy to experience the usual quality again on our next order.

Unfortunately, I don't recommend it! The dishes contain hardly any fresh vegetables. The vegetarian Bao Burger came with just a piece of tofu and lettuce leaves—no other vegetables.

I was there with my husband and children two weeks ago. The service was wonderful and very attentive to us, especially me. The food was delicious and very fresh! My children were also very well looked after. My husband's first order was beef, but he had ordered chicken, and a new dish with chicken was immediately brought out. After the meal, the waitress showed us the outdoor area and continued to chat with us ☺️ We will definitely come back! My son even told her that the food was 100 out of 10, and he's really hard to impress with food 🤭

It wasn't worth the €40 for the starter platter. The main courses came along with the starter, there was no chance of eating the starter without the main course getting cold. Shop was pretty empty. Other guests were also barked at. I say…difficult. Please take a closer look at the days of 5* reviews. For one bad one, 5 good ones show up the next day. Also funny.

I'm Vietnamese myself and like to try Vietnamese restaurants, but from what I've experienced here, it's not authentic Vietnamese either. Compared to the service we received, the bill was incredibly high. Even with Neobutton. Maybe because of that. We were seated quickly, but after 20 minutes we were directed to another table, which was 5 meters closer to the kitchen. This way she doesn't have to walk so long to reach us. During the course of the evening she was actually at our table twice and was therefore able to save at least 20 meters of walking. The fact that the operation was completely understaffed with a single operator could potentially have been foreseen. Our food reached us after more than an hour of waiting and was cold and tasteless. Unfortunately, our summer rolls were withheld without comment. At least we were able to look hungrily at the beautiful lights in the garden for 1 1/2 hours :))

Our first time was in the former Quan 19, now called The Grand Garden Rotherbaum. The food was really tasty, the prices were a little higher than in typical Asian restaurants, but okay. Service was fine and the summer terrace is really nice!

Unfortunately not recommended at all for me. We wanted to relax and get a tapas plate with Neotaste, and perhaps because we used Neotaste we had to wait over an hour for our food. We didn't get an apology from the waitress. The food was also cold and bland. So it couldn't have been freshly prepared, which could possibly excuse the waiting time. In addition, there was even something missing from the record that we weren't made aware of. We still had to pay normally and only with cash or Paypal (this is not pointed out at the beginning). So the price-performance ratio is really not right at all, even with Neotaste it's really expensive - far too small a plate for the normal price of almost €40 (2 spring rolls, a bit of mango salad with maybe 2 mango pieces, half filled with edamame and sweet potato fries, 4 prawns, 4 dry wonton dumplings, a few pieces of grilled chicken, summer rolls were missing). The ambience was nice with the lights, but the service was catastrophic. I had to treat myself to a pizza from Dominos afterwards to compensate for this experience in the restaurant. It was good 👍

The mango salad tasted bland, the dressing was like store-bought. Pho with tofu even blander. Broth had no taste, only after lots of soy sauce, chili sauce. There were some spring onions, 2 slices of mushrooms, noodles and breaded, tasteless tofu floating in it. Rarely have I eaten such an undelished meal in a restaurant. The female waiter was a bit unfriendly in her tone. Oh yes, only cash payment possible...but it will be repaired soon (😏) Unfortunately no further visit planned, a shame.

First of all: The food was super delicious, the best Vietnamese food in a long time and huge portions! Big but: the waitress (short, dark, long hair) was extremely unprofessional. I have never experienced such service in my life. I'm not insisting on being extremely friendly, but I don't think it's asking too much to expect a certain level of professionalism? Passive aggressive sayings, stroppy short answers and in the end we weren't even asked how we liked it. I said on my own initiative that the food was very tasty and she simply ignored that or forced a smile but didn't say anything. I would like to emphasize very clearly that we were very nice and polite from the start, we are rather quiet girls anyway. What surprised me the most and even hurt me a little was that she was loud and very nice and courteous to the tables next to me. She was just dismissive and cold towards us. By the way, we are 3 young women with a Turkish background - I really hope that that wasn't the trigger for her behavior. Unfortunately, the impression was difficult to ignore. It's a shame because the food was delicious and deserved appropriate service.

The food was very tasty. We had the T17 (marinated tofu), M10 (fried rice) and M12 (rice with peanut sauce). The portions are really good and the location is also really nice. The only thing that wasn't quite right was the peanut sauce, but that's just a matter of taste. For me it could have been even more peanut-heavy.

The garden has potential - I didn't find it that comfortable. The starter came with the main course and was then supposed to be deducted from the bill - this was only done upon request (we didn't eat it either). I thought my dish was delicious, my husband didn't like his - so you can see: the tastes are different.

Service catastrophic: unfriendly, no explanation about the food, only cash or PayPal - without any information. Absolutely no comparison to before. Unfortunately completely not recommended!

Alright, listen up. This place is legit. The food is very authentic. The drinks are stellar. The service from the staff, especially from Mona, is next level. Great suggestions from Mona on the menu. My friend is vegetarian and had the perfect dishes recommended to us. I will come back. I will eat well. I will have such a great time doing so. If you are reading this, get going, this place is amazing 👏 🤩

I recently visited this Vietnamese restaurant and really loved it! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was simply fantastic – fresh, aromatic and authentic. Particularly noteworthy is the Pho, which impresses with its rich broth and delicate ingredients. But the service is the best thing here!

We came with high expectations because of so many good reviews. Oh well. If you like salt-free food, you've come to the right place. Soy sauce? Was completely missing. Lots of pasta, few vegetables and it was cold and completely tasteless. We sat in an adjoining room where the floor was already coming loose - acute danger of a stopper! Also very loud. So if you don't know about Vietnamese cuisine, you can go there. For connoisseurs - nope
