Unfortunately it's not for people who value seating comfort, it's like sitting on a church pew and the benches below make it much more difficult to sit down and get up. Unfortunately, the uncomfortable sitting doesn't make the food go away. I ordered fried rice ribbon noodles with beef, carrots, bean sprouts, bok choy and egg. Unfortunately I only got rice noodle scraps with beef and a touch of carrot for €17.90. There was only one waitress who was overwhelmed by the number of guests. And to make matters worse, the cash register system was down, meaning only cash payments were possible. But of course not a single word about it and not a piece of paper either. Overall, unfortunately not recommended.

Poor quality food for a lot of money. The service was hectic. Only pay in cash or Paypal friends and acquaintances. We didn't feel comfortable.

We ate in the restaurant yesterday and really enjoyed it. The food was great, service was great and an overall successful restaurant experience :) We'd love to come back!

Wir hatten uns einen romantischen Freitagabend vorgestellt und wurden bitte enttäuscht. Die Bedienung hatte einen spröden Charme und wirkte die ganze Zeit sehr gehetzt und genervt. Unsere Schorlen waren eher verdünnte Säfte und hatten keine Kohlensäure. Das Curry glich einer Suppe, und die Bun war das und geschmacklos. Untermalt wurde der Abend von Bohrgeräuschen, da angeblich renoviert wurde. Ob das auf einen Freitagabend stattfinden muss, ist fraglich. Alles in allem können wir dieses Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

I recently visited Quan 19 in Rotherbaum and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or family. The food was simply fantastic – fresh, authentic and full of flavour. Particularly The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made the visit all the more pleasant. Another highlight is the price-performance ratio - the prices are more than fair for the quality of the food. I'll definitely be back!

The duo Marco and Abbas take Vietnamese cuisine in Hamburg to a new level! The dishes are an absolute highlight, and the duck is simply unbeatable - you can't get it better anywhere. The slightly longer wait is worth it! I'm really looking forward to summer, when the gigantic terrace opens its doors again. Big compliments also to Mona, who rounded off the visit perfectly with her first-class service. Absolutely recommended!

The huge and cozy outdoor area alone invites you to spend relaxed lunch hours. The super friendly and competent staff, as well as the excellent food, rounds the whole thing off. In addition, the price-performance ratio is definitely right! I'd love to come back.

I have a new favorite Asian restaurant for everyone who loves crispy duck with peanut sauce and curry fans. My wife and I are very impressed by the food and the quality of what is on offer. Mr. Van Inge is super personable and funny, he takes excellent care of his guests, which is why we give him a 5-star rating.

The experience used to be much better, especially when the menu included codes, as it made ordering clearer. Unfortunately, the new printed menu is disappointing because it doesn’t include the drinks, which makes it less convenient. Additionally, it seemed like there was a lack of staff, as the waitress had to manage the entire restaurant on her own. Despite her efforts, she was a bit rude. She made a mistake and brought me the wrong dish, even though I had clearly pointed to the one I wanted on the menu. Instead of addressing the issue politely, she blamed me for my level of German, which was unnecessary and unprofessional. My noodles took a long time to arrive, and my husband’s dish (noodles with beef) was quite bland, while mine had an overwhelming amount of garlic. Another issue is that they don’t inform customers about the payment method when you arrive, you only find out it’s cash-only when you’re already at the register. Luckily, we had enough money with us, but this could be a significant inconvenience for others. I hope these points can be addressed to improve the overall experience

The four of us came here spontaneously today. Had a wonderful meal. What particularly stood out were the spiciness information on the menu. “Slightly spicy” was actually only slightly spicy. “Spicy” was really hot and where nothing was specified, important to my wife, it was actually really mild, with a slight spiciness in the finish. Simply great. Great value for money. Completely nice service.

Unfortunately the weakest Pho I've eaten in Hamburg so far. Hardly any taste and way too salty. I was wondering why the beautifully decorated store is almost always empty despite its great central location, now I know. Although the waitress is super nice and serves you very quickly, she complained to customers several times about how hard the job is and how badly the customers behave. Judging by the comments, this is a permanent condition and her arms are overwhelmed as she has to do everything on her own. Since it was just before the shop's lunch break, it was pointed out several times that they were closing soon and no one was allowed to finish their meal in peace. All in all a really disappointing experience. Unfortunately, you cannot afford that at the high level in Hamburg IMO, especially not for 12 euros in the lunch table. Paying is of course only in cash, what you only find out at the end (luckily I had something with it).

Nice restaurant and good food. We were there with children. They were welcomed warmly, but received their food last. The menu is accessible via qr codes, which is stupid especially for older people. There was only a single normal menu in the restaurant. It's very busy on Saturday evening and the wait staff was mostly alone, but also correspondingly stressed.

A visit to the Vietnamese restaurant Quan 19 is an absolute must! For starters I chose the spring rolls, which were fresh, crispy and full of flavor - simply outstanding. The main course, the flying egg noodles with grilled chicken breast, was a culinary highlight. The chicken breast was perfectly grilled and buttery tender, while the egg noodles offered a real taste experience with their unique texture and delicious flavors. The combination of flavors was just perfect, and the entire dish was lovingly prepared down to the last detail. Added to this is the friendly and attentive staff, who rounded off the evening wonderfully. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Four of us were at Quan 19 on Saturday evening and had a very nice evening. The service was very courteous and smart. She made good recommendations and all the dishes were very tasty and filling. Unfortunately it closed at 10 p.m., but we were offered a schnapps at the bar at the end. Absolute recommendation for a relaxed evening.

I had dinner there today with my boyfriend and my parents. The service was very friendly, it was clean and the food was also very tasty, and the restaurant itself is also very nicely decorated. We recommend the Pho Bo soup and the peanut sauce. We will definitely go there again.

The food was good, but the waitress with the long brown hair was a disaster. According to his own statement, the management. First she complains to us that we called before she started work to reserve a table (pro tip: then don't answer the phone). She told me that she would never wear a handbag like the one I have and she also commented strangely on my friend's backpack. The decor is quite nice, the food was okay (although I've had better pho soups), but the service was completely off track. We were constantly yelled at - starting with the allocation of space to the payment. It's okay to be in a bad mood sometimes, but please don't be so rude about it.

We didn't let the negative reviews deter us. Admittedly we had a bit of a stomach ache, but we weren't disappointed! The meat was perfectly grilled, crispy and tender at the same time, the red curry sauce was velvety and even the otherwise very grumpy friend of our companion would have preferred to take his peanut sauce home with him. We were completely thrilled!

The waitress who served us is impossible and very unfriendly. Please work on using a polite tone. It was noticed that she also served the neighboring tables very unfriendly. Went there several times a while ago. Was always perfect. It feels like the tenant and the workforce have changed. We don't know whether that's actually the case. But it works that way. A lot of things are now missing from the map. Served differently. Somewhat shabby inside. We'd rather go somewhere else in the future.

I've eaten there 4 times in the last 6 months. The ambience and proximity to work were the decisive reasons for me. The food was ok to good. Since my last experience about a month ago with the new owner, the ambience doesn't make up for it either: - She is super unfriendly to latently aggressive. - My standard dish was significantly worse and more expensive… that's actually enough. But her attitude made it even worse for me. I always had the impression that she was under pressure to make sales and had forgotten how sales were generated. Tip: Not by ripping off customers and hitting on them. Because this feeling has arisen for me several times.

We were not informed that card payment was not possible. We only found out about this when the first guest left hungry after more than an hour without food and couldn't pay with a card. Here too, it wasn't the staff who informed us, but the guest himself, who came to the table specifically to warn us. Luckily, a few were able to avoid ordering and getting into trouble afterwards. The guest was also insulted because he wanted to pay by card, and guests at the next table also experienced this. The interior of the store is really very chic. To mention something more positive. There was also a free greeting from the kitchen (ice cream) for the inconvenience. My food tasted good in terms of the sauce, unfortunately the rice was hard (somehow dried out in many places), so it was disgusting to chew on it and didn't taste good either. Unfortunately, the vegetables were a bit too firm for me and the chicken was somehow indefinable (rubbery might be the best description). If poor Ramona's boss, who hopefully doesn't quit after this evening, gets her promised €5,000 Louis Vuitton, there will be a star. I think the store can do better. But that really wasn't great. Above all, we were understandably annoyed, but we also got hit. Fortunately, the two of them were able to save the mood again, otherwise it would have been absolutely subterranean. Edit: Unfortunately, as soon as I got home I got diarrhea. I have celiac disease and asked several times whether the starter was really made of rice paper because it looked strange to me. It was confirmed, but obviously it wasn't. So unfortunately for me it was a bad visit, despite the beautiful shop and the very hard-working service staff who were in a good mood again at the end.

But the two of them saved the evening and hustled through it. A trainee and a service person on a Saturday with a trade fair are not enough, we need more cool people like that to pull through. Greetings from the kitchen, vanilla ice cream. Card payment not possible, but you can order from Lieferando for collection and pay with Paypal. Food was good.

Der dunkelhaarige Besitzer war schlecht gelaunt und erzählte stolz davon, wie er seine Restaurantleiterin entlassen wird, inklusive einer wilden Geschichte darüber, wie gut es angeblich in der Schweiz läuft. Aber was machst du dann hier am Grindel? Die Gerichte hatten kaum Geschmack und waren viel zu teuer für das, was man bekommt. Entspannt sitzen war unmöglich wegen der viel zu lauten Musik. Und dann wird sich auch noch beschwert, dass Mitarbeiter hohe Gehaltsvorstellungen haben - wahrend das Personal kaum Deutsch spricht. Die 5 Sterne gebe ich aus Mitleid für die Mitarbeiter, die mit so einem Wahnsinnstypen arbeiten müssen. Mein Tipp: Machen Sie einen großen Bogen um den Laden!

Since new owner - DISASTER!!! We were VERY happy regular guests at Quan 19 Rotherbaum and were ALWAYS thrilled again and again, and not just by the food. Unfortunately, things have completely changed since the new owner arrived on site. The starter was completely over salted SEVERAL TIMES and was only lukewarm. The main courses are no longer as tasty and have been significantly reduced in quality and quantity. Visually, the food has also deteriorated EXTREMELY - in contrast to before: JUST LOVELY. You no longer have the dishes that are on the menu because the “lids” are supposedly missing? Vegan mango lassi is no longer available and it is said that it has never existed before... And where the hell has the super attentive and extremely personable Stella gone??? With her very competent manner, she had the store extremely organized, perfect and completely under control. And yes, we gave the change several chances, but: Since we struggled with diarrhea and stomach/intestinal problems after our last visit, we will - with a heavy heart - definitely not be coming back!

We were there yesterday and had dinner. Tables and chairs are uncomfortable to sit on. Food was OK. Outside terrace is nice. Unfortunately, the service wasn't good and we found some of the staff to be unfriendly: Only cash payment was received, which I find a bit strange. Then I asked for water, which is not chilled, but they apparently don't offer it. And we asked if our little daughter's food could be made warm, and one waitress said no, but when we asked another waiter again, it worked without any problems. Too bad.

Uns wurde gesagt, dass vor kurzer Zeit ein Inhaberwechsel stattgefunden hat: Leider sind (seitdem) auch die Portionen kleiner geworden (nur noch 4 Wantan als Vorspeise zum selben Preis) und viel weniger Ente (teuerstes Fleisch laut Karte!) beim Hauptgericht. Wir haben über ein Portal mit Ermäßigung reserviert und es wurde versucht, uns den normalen Preis als ermäßigt zu verkaufen! Keine Empfehlung, unschöne Diskussionen bei der Rechnung.

We love Asian cuisine and were really looking forward to our evening in Hamburg. The photos of the restaurant looked fantastic... Great garden with lots of green and Asian flair...unfortunately that wasn't the case at all... We sat in a backyard that had nothing to do with a green oasis. Unfortunately, the dishes we had ordered didn't actually arrive. The taste of the food was mediocre. We were very disappointed, and to make matters worse, at the end of the visit we discovered that the rice we had to reorder was charged at an extra €2.50 per mini bowl. We don't know that at all from Asian restaurants. Conclusion: definitely not again!

I was particularly impressed by the quality of the meat (everything is Halal, by the way), and the fresh herbs and spices that make every dish a taste experience. Had “Bun Bo” and “Van Tan Chien” delivered. Bun Bo was looking awful in the container, really small portion as well. Van Tan Chien had only two pieces of chopped iceberg, not like in the pictures at all. Never gonna order from here again.

So I can only advise against ordering here. So much money was spent on TINY small portions, the bao bun was simply slapped carelessly into the packaging and half the soup spilled out of the bag during the journey. After 1 hour of waiting I'm just angry.

Had a really bad experience here. We waited 50 minutes for our food and then at some point canceled it and left. We asked several times where our food was, unfortunately we only got a very unfriendly answer that it was still taking a while. It wasn't incredibly busy, especially since everyone around us was getting their food. There was no nice communication with us. Really wouldn't eat here again.

We went here for sushi with 10 girls. Everything was fine. We sat outside in the super cute courtyard. The staff took care of us the entire time and were super nice and attentive. The sushi was SO good - I've never been able to eat as much sushi as I did here. The appetite just never stopped ◡̈ so be it! We'll definitely be back!!

I'm english and I'd just landed in Hamburg on my own when I ate here. They were really welcoming, understanding of my poor German, and the food was incredible. An excellent welcome to the city.

The Banh Mi was also wonderfully crispy and balanced in taste. The service was attentive and friendly, and the prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food. A real culinary experience that I recommend to everyone. I was also told that there would be sushi soon. I'm excited about that. And will test the yeast case.
